This article discusses Tadeusz Kantor’s letters to the Foksal Gallery in Warsaw (mainly to Wiesław Borowski) from the years 1961–1979 with the aim to explore the interconnections between Kantor’s private concerns artistic categories. Kantor used his private notes as works of art, and his letters show different functions that he attributed to epistolography.
