Texto completoShoshana felman has shown the existence of a constitutive link between literature and madness, a relationship which can implicate an ideological orientation. An autofiction which claims to be a praxis of madness, celine's works are a perfect example of her theory. From the critical point of view, the notion of madness refers to a repression of the ideological orientation of celine's works. By another way, the writer himself has not avoided --either by rejecting or by accepting-- aplay on the madness ideology double approach to the literary text. In other words, pathographic reading of celine's works would be inseparable from a process of repression of the basic ideological orientation of his works; the result of the "psy" alibi would be to avoid the critical problem established by political content. In the same way, the manner by which celine accepts (in the post--war interviews) or rejects (in bagatelles pour un massacre) any possibility of a pathological approach to his works is inseparable from an ideological intention, leading to a new questioning of the worth and the ideological weight of a style which claims to value the perceivable over the intelligible and feelings rather than words

Texto completoToday disappeared, the castel of Choisy-le-Roi remains as a symbol of the Louis XV and Mme de Pompadour’s expensive whims, idea spread by the 18th and 19th centuries literature. However, Choisy has an important part in the history of the programs architecture set up for the needs for the life of court of the second half of the 18th century. Close to the forest of Sénart, the castel becomes at first a friendly residence where finds itself, after the hunting trips, a " particular court ", made up of the king ’s close friends. Louis XV invites later to Choisy his children, to whom he dedicates short stays in a informal settings. The numerous entourage attached to their service transforms this space previously "private", and makes it more accessible to the courtiers. This increase of the company produces many construction works by the architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel. As a result of this loss of "intimacy", other intimate places are then fitted out; so, the Petit-Château, the first detached house of Louis XV, is built. It is where takes place the table « volante ». Through the study of the royal domain, we also notice the daily functioning of the castel, where live numerous employees attached to the administration des Bâtiments du roi. The field works is coordinated by a controller des Bâtiments, from whom letters exchanged with the Director of the administration give valued informations on management and staff. So, the castel of Choisy appears as a major part for the understanding of the court and the sociability of Louis XV

Texto completoIn the automotive field, the absorption of the energy released during a car crash is partly achieved by the plastic deformation of metal absorbers and bumper beam. However, with the tightening of laws on the emission of greenhouse gases, the automotive sector seeks to reduce the mass of vehicles and thus limit consumption and therefore the production of harmful gases. The aim of the thesis is to propose new lighter and more efficient energy absorbing systems based on the optimization of a thermoplastic matrix glass fiber composite material. These new materials, whose mechanical properties are similar to metals ones, have the advantage of introducing greater performance in terms of energy absorption and lower density than current materials, while being recyclable. As regards composites, the energy absorption is in particular due to a set of phenomena of damages (rupture, delamination ...). The understanding of the rupture of composite systems is therefore essential: understanding the real crushing scenario makes it possible to optimize the type of composite used and the geometry of the pieces in order to maximize the energy absorbed. In this goal, a first material mapping phase was launched in order to improve our understanding of the material but also to provide the mechanical parameters necessary for the elaboration of a numerical model of Finite Elements under Abaqus. The pseudoplasticity property of +/- 45 ° laminated composite was highlighted as well as its energy absorption benefits. From these data, a more precise study phase was conducted on the impact behavior of the composite in order to understand and optimize the damage mechanisms responsible for the energy absorption released during a crash. The influence of ply orientation and strain rate on the laminate’s response has been checked to provide an optimal material for shock absorption. Finally, a study of the geometrical parameters led to the optimization of the section of the absorber as well as to the use of triggers to take advantage of the potential of the material and to maximize the amount of energy absorbed. Indeed, the choice of a square section, relatively simple to produce, with an optimized number of plies, coupled with the use of the trigger "knives" allows us to use the potential of the pseudoplastic deformation of the composite and to damage the laminate to finally maximize the Specific Energy Absorption regardless of the speed of the shock

Texto completoThe scientific objective of the thesis was to make a contribution in the understanding of the injury mechanisms following the blunt impact of a projectile on the lateral thoracic region. Practically, the application concerns safety certification and optimization of less-lethal projectile. This research was supported by the project PARCHOC partners: the Délégation Générale pour l’Armement-techniques terrestres, the PRISME laboratory (Orléans university),the companies Nexter munitions, ITC élastomère and ATCOM télémétrie. In particular, we have sought the principal projectile parameters which must be controlled to limit injury risk. Firstly, we have performed a study based on specialized test projectiles, made with a rear rigid part and soft foam (elastomeric) nose. The foams’ chemical formulations were made so that the dynamical properties (measured with the Hopkinson bar apparatus) were those expected. Experiments and simulations of the impacts on rigid wall target have been made to investigate how the mass-velocity couple and the foam material properties influence the impact force. Secondly, an experimental campaign was made using pig anatomical parts and the projectiles previously studied. Experimental and numerical results obtained during the thesis demonstrate that the dangerous nature of the projectiles used is essentially linked to the action on the thoracic bone structure after it has been weakened by the impact. Furthermore, injuries are strongly dependent upon the impulse transmitted during the impact

Texto completoFor decades, the assessment of less-lethal weapons (LLW) and bulletproof vests has generated major interest from law enforcement agencies around the world. Indeed, these presumed less-lethal or non-lethal weapons are required to cause only significant pain to an individual to ensure their neutralization. Bulletproof vests, in turn, must provide a certain level of protection to reduce the risk of trauma related to their dynamic deformation. The Center for Research, Expertise and Logistics Support (CREL) of the French Ministry of the Interior aims to develop a tool to predict thoracic injury risk during non-penetrating ballistic impacts. It would therefore be possible to evaluate the performance of LLW and bulletproof vests before their deployment in operations. More precisely, this method must only be based on the direct measurement of the dynamic process of deformation of a synthetic gel block subjected to a ballistic impact. To address that issue, the numerical approach is considered in this thesis by the use of the human thorax dummy HUByx as an intermediate tool for the determination of transfer functions between experimental metrics on a gel block and the risk of injury. The reproduction of real impact conditions on HUByx thus requires the characterization and modeling of less-lethal projectiles as well as projectiles of firearms and bulletproof vests. They rely on an inverse method identification procedure applied to the Taylor test for modeling LLW and on the analysis of blunt impacts on the gel block for projectiles/bulletproof vests. Work is then dedicated to the mechanical characterization and modeling of the synthetic gel under dynamic loadings. Finally, a statistical approach based on correlation analyses is introduced using both experimental measurements, numerical data as well as case reports from the literature. A thorax mapping associated with the risk of rib fractures is established and only depends on an experimental metric

Texto completoAbdominal injuries represent a small proportion (5%) of road crash injuries but their proportion increases considerably with regard to serious and severe injuries (16%). The abdomen of the Test device for Human Occupant Restraint (THOR), intended to be used in future frontal impact assessments, needs further developments regarding its biofidelity and injury criterion. The work performed in this thesis project was in three folds: Firstly, the main parameters of the THOR and Post Mortem Human Subjects (PMHS) abdomen responses under impactor and seatbelt loadings were identified using a lumped element model. The comparison between the THOR and the PMHS mechanical parameters highlighted desired changes for THOR abdomen biofidelity improvement. It was found that THOR material viscosity should be increased by 5 and that interaction with the pelvis flesh should be modified as it increased by 8 the abdomen stiffness. These changes were included in the Finite Element (FE) model of an existing abdomen prototype which is equipped with Abdominal Pressure Twin Sensors (APTS) to quantify the abdomen load. Secondly, the response of the prototype was evaluated in sled test simulations which showed that the prototype abdomen had little influence on the dummy overall kinematics but that the torso flexion could increase the pressure in the APTS. This led to additional recommendations regarding the abdomen design. Finally, for the abdominal injury criterion definition, the APTS pressure was correlated with organ injuries as reported in published PMHS tests or as predicted by THUMS human FE model

Texto completoThe purpose of this study is to demonstrate the possibility of existence of rights over generic things, i.e things whose constitution is determined in consideration of generic features, and to present its implications. Property law has, historically, never admitted the fact that a right could be established on things other than those which are individually determined, and can be refered to as "this" thing. Rights over generic things are, nevertheless, a reality and therefore deserved to be recognized. They have two main characteristics. First of all, they have the ability to survive the mixing of their object with other identical things. They can also, in a rather important number of cases, survive the material or juridical loss of their object

Texto completoThis thesis in sociology aims at describing the ambivalent relationship that visually impaired persons, whether they are blind or partially sighted, develop with their urban area, here that of Chambery.First, it shows that, for these disabled persons, urban space is a space where they feel locked in : the reading, the knowledge, the use of this space are restricted, submitted to imperatives such as the walking stick, the locomotion technique, the use of tools provided for them by the city. Living in the private space is also subject to many constraints. The loss of eyesight reduces ontological safety, which is altered by pain and often by loneliness. And yet urban space is the space where visually impaired persons can live and move self- autonomously. Their autonomy is made possible by two actors: on the one hand, the city which carries out urban improvements in its accessibility to conform to the law- sometimes even before the bill was passed as is the case with the city of Chambery which was rewarded for its achievements in favour of disabled persons ; on the other hand, the disabled persons themselves who need to conquer their autonomy at the expense of demanding personal efforts. “ I have to learn my job as a disabled person”, said one of them in an interview. Conquering one’s autonomy shows similarities to ‘’the real-life situation’’…. This conquest not only takes into account the environmental and situational aspect of the handicap, but it also places the blind or partially impaired person in a specific position with regard to urban space. An extension to the sociological analysis of Gibson’s ecological theory relating to perception proposes to consider visually impaired persons in a specific relationship with urban space, conjuring up the concept of ecological niche

Texto completoAccording to the French ethnologist, Daniel Fabre, a historic monument is one of the most obvious manifestations that landed itself to maintaining historicism throughout Western Europe in recent centuries. Today this idea becomes object of theoretical debates. The main purpose of this work is to study and evaluate the modern theoretical debate, when heterogenic concept ,,heritage” is universally accepted and set in, about genesis of historic monument idea, development and the crisis. Also, it is necessarily to go deep into opportunity of actualization and new alternatives. There are two perspectives of inquiring the genesis of historic monument. The works on the traditional progressive perspective tend to present a classic image of historic monument, i.e. a his¬toric monument is exhibited as an idea of modernity, with big attention to juridical aspects. One of the most substantial contemporary scientists representing the classic conception is André Chastel, Françoise Choay, Dominique Poulot. As an alternative to this monoperspective theory emerges an innovative interpretation of the modernism of historic mo¬nument developed by contemporary French ethnologists and anthropologists - Daniel Fabre, Jean-Michel Leniaud, Olivier Poisson. This work presents and analyses dif¬ferent visions of the development of his¬toric monument. It aims at attempting to reflect the presented positions and to evaluate the possibilities and challenges of a presumable multi-perspective model. The... [to full text]

Texto completoThe first party of the study is dedicated to the invocation of the right to a fair trial intra and extra muros and, on this basis, it focuses on the direct applicability of Article 6 and the subsidiarity of the Convention and of the European Court of Human Rights. Because of the fact that the right to a fair trial is a ‘‘judge-made law’’, the study also focuses on the invocability of the judgments of the European Court and more precisely on the direct invocability of the European Court’s judgment finding that there has been a violation of the Convention and on the request for an interpretation in accordance with the European Court’s decisions. The possibility of reviewing the criminal judgment made in violation of the Convention has generated a new right of access to the Court of cassation which particularly concerns the violations of the right to a fair trial and is probably the most important step for the respect of the right to a fair trial after enabling the right of individual petition. As for the weak conventional basis of the authority of res interpretata (“autorité de la chose interprétée”), this fact explains why an indirect dialogue between the ECHR and the Court of cassation is possible but doesn’t affect the applicant’s right to request an interpretation in accordance with the Court’s decisions and the duty of the Court of cassation to explain why it has decided to depart from the (non-binding) precedent. The second party of the study is bigger than the first one and is dedicated to the guarantees of the proper administration of justice (Article 6§1), the presumption of innocence (Article 6§2), the rights which find their conventional basis on the Article 6§1 but their logical explanation to the presumption of innocence and the rights of defence (Article 6§3). More precisely, the second party of the study is analyzing the right to an independent and impartial tribunal established by law, the right to a hearing within a reasonable time, the principle of equality of arms, the right to adversarial proceedings, the right of the defence to the last word, the right to a public hearing and a public pronouncement of the judgement, the judge’s duty to state the reasons for his decision, the presumption of innocence, in both its procedural and personal dimensions, the accused’s right to lie, his right to remain silent, his right against self-incrimination, his right to be informed of the nature and the cause of the accusation and the potential re-characterisation of the facts, his right to have adequate time and facilities for the preparation of the defence, including in particular the access to the case-file and the free and confidential communication with his lawyer, his right to appear in person at the trial, his right to defend either in person or through legal assistance, his right to be represented by his counsel, his right to free legal aid if he hasn’t sufficient means to pay for legal assistance but the interests of justice so require, his right to examine or have examined witnesses against him and to obtain the attendance and examination of witnesses on his behalf under the same conditions as witnesses against him and his right to the free assistance of an interpreter and to the translation of the key documents. The analysis is based on the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and focuses on the position taken by the French and the Greek Court of Cassation (Areopagus) on each one of the above mentioned rights

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of hot-boned pork loin injection with different brines, on the improvment of eating quality, and the changes on biochemical of pork chops. Hot-boned M. longissimus dorsi were purchased from local market, divided into four treatments, each treatment had 12 repeate loin was injected with 10% (w/w) of 5% sodium chloride solution (SC), 5% sodium lactate (SL), combined solution (combined 3.5% sodium chloride, 5% sodium lactate and 1% sodium tripolyphosphate, COM), and the deionized water (DW) injection was as control. Biochemical properties on glycogen, and R-value within 48hr, salt soluble protein (SSP), ATPase activity and myofibrillar fragmentation index (MFI) within 120hr were measured. Physical properties of loin chops were detected on purge, cooking loss, and shear forces during storage at 2℃for 5 days, pH value, color, thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS), volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) and total plate counts (TPC) were detected within 10 days, and cooked pork loin chops were also evaluated at the third day by panelist. The results showed that during the first 6, 24 and 48 hr after injection, the glycogen concentration and pH value of COM and SC chops were significantly higher than those of DW and SL chops (P<0.05). The rate of ATP hydrolysis was also decreased at the first 3 hr of COM chops, and the R-value was the lower than others, but at the 24 hr the R-value of brines injection treatment significantly higher than DW chops (P<0.05). During storage time, the chops injection with brines were significantly lower in SSP but higher in MFI than DW chops (P<0.05), after 72hr injected, the ATPase activity of SC and COM chops were higher than COM chops, but SL was lower than DW chops. The loin chops injected with SC and COM brines deceased significantly on purge, cooking loss and shear forces also significantly lower than DW and SL chops (P<0.05). The pH value of four treatments chops decreased with increasing storage time at the first 10 days, whereas the DW showed the lowest, and the COM injection was the highest (P<0.05). Chops injection with COM brine had the most effect for extended redness (a value) and oxidation stability, but lower lightness (L value) than DW, SC and SL chops. The VBN value of chops injected with brine were lower than DW injection within the first 10 days storage time (P<0.05), the chops injection with SL and COM brines had the lowest total plate counts. Sensory evaluation showed that the chops injection with COM brine, which juiciness, tenderness and freshness was the highest (P<0.05), and SC was second. Although chops injected with COM brine higher score in saltiness, but the acceptability was also the most (P<0.05). In conclusion, hot-boned pork loin with 5% brine 10% (w/w) injection, and the best brine for injection was the COM, the SC brine was the second. Both eating quality and storage stability of chops were significantly improvement during 2℃storage for up to 10 days.

Eighteen Nubian lambs having a mean live weight of 40 kg were randomly allocated in three groups. The lambs in each group were group fed on of three dietary treatments, designated control ( 0 % ), 2.5 % soyb- ean oil, and 5.0 % soybean oil. Five months passed away, and they were at a mean live weight of 60 kg, then it was time to slaughter. Slices of the longissimus muscle between the 12th and 13th ribs were sampled from all lambs at slaughter and analysed for fatty acid composition of intra-muscular, subcutaneous fat and cholesterol in lambs meat. Besides, 1-cm sirloin lamb chops were storaged at 2℃ for 0, 3, 6, and 9 days, and study thiobarbituric acid reactive substance ( TBARS ) values, pH value, color ( L*, a* and b* values ), and percent of purge loss. All of TBARS and pH values increased with storage. 2.5 % soybean oil of TBARS value was higher than control and 5.0 % soybean oil, and no significant difference was found between control and 5.0 % soybean oil. Control of pH value was higher than 2.5 % soybean oil. In general, 5.0 % soybean oil of a* and b* value were higher than control and 2.5 % soybean oil, but 2.5 % and 5.0 % soybean oil decreased with storage. In fatty acid composition of intra-muscular, CLA content were 0.88, 0.9 and 0.92 %FAME (% fatty acid methyl ester) for control, 2.5 % and 5.0 % soybean oil, and the three treatments had on significant differences. And then, we found lambs were fed diets containing soybean oil (2.5 or 5.0 %) can decreased saturated fatty acid in lamb intra-muscular. 2.5% or 5.0 % soybean oil of polysaturated fatty acid content was higher than control ( P<0.05 ), especially DHA ( C22:6 n3 ). Monosatruated fatty acid content was highest by control, and lowest by 5.0 % soybean oil. In fatty acid composition of subcutaneous fat, CLA content were 1.00, 1.27and 1.42 % for control, 2.5 % and 5.0 % soybean oil, and on significant difference was found between 2.5 and 5.0 % soybean oil. And then, we found lambs were fed diets containing soybean oil (2.5 or 5.0 %) can increase saturated fatty acid in lamb subcutaneous fat, and control of that was lower than 5.0 % soybean oil, and 2.5% soybean oil with control or 5.0% soybean oil had on significant difference. Total monosaturated fatty acid content were lowest by 5.0% soybean oil, and control with 2.5% soybean oil had on significant difference. Above all, C22:6 n3 was decreased by 5.0% soybean oil. Cholesterol contents in intra-muscular were 56.33, 56.24 and 56.12 mg/100 g fresh tissue, and the three treatments had no significant difference ( P>0.05 ). Percent of purge loss was highest by control, and lowest by 5.0% soybean oil. The percent of purge loss value were increased during storage.

In this study, pork loin chops was pretreated with 100%CO-MAP at 2℃ or 25℃ for 30 min, then PVC packaged and vacuum packaged. Storage times were 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 days for PVC packaged, and 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12 days for vacuum packaged. Samples were stored at 2℃, and study pH value, thiobarbituic acid reactive substances(TBARS)value, percent metmyoglobin, color(L*、a*and b* value), total plate count, lactic acid bacteria and CO residue. The result of PVC packaged showed that pH values were not significant. All of TBARS values slightly increased with storage time. However, CO-2 (100% CO in a MAP at 2℃ for 30 min)and CO-25 (100% CO in a MAP at 25℃ for 30 min)of TBARS values were not decreased. Air-2 (air in a MAP at 2℃ for 30 min)had slightly higher percent metmyoglobin than CO-2 and CO-25, but between all treatments had no significant differences. Air-2 had higher L* value and b* value than CO-2 and CO-25 during storage, and no significant difference was found between CO-2 and CO-25. Both CO-2 and CO-25 had higher a* value than Air-2. The result were indicated that samples treated with CO to develop stable red color. The total plate counts of CO-2 were significantly lower than Air-2 and CO-25. In CO residue of meat, all treatments decreased with storage, and CO reside of CO-2 were lower than CO-25. After cooking, CO residue in meat were decreased. The result of vacuum packaged showed that pH values and TBARS values were not significant. Both CO-2 and CO-25 had lower percent metmyoglobin than Air-2. In color, L* value of all treatments had no significant differences. Both CO-2 and CO-25 had higher a* value than Air-2 during storage. And all of b* values slightly increased with storage time. All of total plate counts and lactic acid bacteria increased with storage time. After 6 days of storage, Air-2 had higher total plate counts and lactic acid bacteria than CO-2 and CO-25. And then, total plate counts of Air-2 were over 107 CFU/g, indicating that CO seem to have the inhibitory effect on microbial growth. In CO residue of meat, all treatments did not decreased with storage, and CO reside of CO-2 were lower than CO-25. After cooking, CO residue in meat were decreased.
