AbstractAim: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the surgical outcome in the treatment ofLumber Disc Prolapse (LDP).Methods: The present study was conducted in the Department of Orthopaedics, IGIMS,Patna, Bihar, India from December 2016 to November 2017 and 50 patients were selected.Results: Mean follow-up time of our study was 36.50 &plusmn; 15.60 months (minimum 12 months).Mean preoperative VAS for radicular pain and low back pain were 9.18 &plusmn; 1.89 (standarddeviation [SD]) and 6.90 &plusmn; 4.31 SD, respectively. Mean preoperative VAS for back pain washigher in women than men.

A clinical study was performed in order to determine if healthy test subjects can differentiate between adjacent and separated pairs of vertebrae in the lumbar spine. The variable of interest was number of correctly specied pairs of vertebrae. The test subjects were evaluated in terms of sensitivity and specicity of this test. Bootstrap resampling was applied in the data analysis. The results clearly indicated that the test subjects in this study were able to successfully determine whether a pair of adjacent or separated vertebrae was tested during the procedure.

Chapter 1 explores the origins of the Pacific Northwest timber industry in the early twentieth century, focusing on how employers’ efforts to control and contain labor radicalism shaped the demography and living circumstances of workers. Lumbermen believed that the best way to mollify organized labor was to recruit married men and families to work in their lumber camps and sawmills, and, in order to recruit families, the lumbermen constructed a vast network of company towns that significantly shaped the way people from timber-working communities understood and used the surrounding forests.

Lateral resonance low-frequency vibrations responsible for the temporal changes of the skin surface relief arise at the muscular contraction. On exposure of the skin area over the contractional muscle to coherent radiation, the change of the speckle field intensity fluctuations occurs. The dynamics of this process is dictated by the dynamics of the object under study. Resumen
The study involved 15 men with movement disorders of central origin. We used percutaneous electrical stimulation of the spinal cord with the application of electrodes in the projection of the lumbar thickening, proprioceptive stimulation, and their combination. The data obtained showed the effectiveness of the combined course of percutaneous electrical stimulation of the spinal cord and proprioceptive stimulation on changes in the excitability of spinal locomotor neural networks.&#x0D; Key words: electrical stimulation, spinal cord, proprioceptive stimulation, rehabilitation, motor neuron.
