Texto completoThis phenomenological research study explored the contributing factors experienced by Black males that epitomized their academic success in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) area of study. During this investigative project, eleven Black male students were interviewed to determine how they were able to successfully navigate and complete a STEM degree. The data was collected through a qualitative inquiry, which involved interviewing students and collecting the data and organizing their perspectives into common themes. The principal findings in this study suggest that Black males can excel when primary influential people establish high expectations and believe and encourage Black males to succeed by providing the essential educational support models requisite to warrant success; the Black male maintains and affirms a self-assured self-worth in himself; the Black male is exposed to these fields and professions early on in their educational quest to enable them to witness first hand powerful and productive opportunities and pathways to academic success; exposure to other Black successful male role models who can mentor and show positive proof that with effort, these fields can become a reality; increase in academic motivation and recommendations from educators and counselors who direct and guide students into and away from these rigorous career fields. An analysis of the students' individual stories gave a revealing look into the pathways of their consciousness, emotional growth, and perspectives about being a successful STEM major. This kind of insight can be a constructive diagnostic tool for students, educators, counselors, and administrators who want to motivate and influence future students to major in STEM fields of study.

In Taiwan, long working hours and low salary are major social issues. The study employed data from "Taiwan Education Panel Survey (TEPS)" to evaluate gender differences in salaries gap. Over time, salary differences between genders can largely be explained by family capital, higher education and social network. Substantial gender differences exist after controlling the variable of residence place and of working hours. On the basis of this evidence, we concluded: 1. Differences among university graduates exist in family capital, school education, social network, and salary gap in particular. 2. Higher education is the key point to salary growth. Implications of these findings for government, higher education and university graduates are discussed to raise the salary of university graduates.

Forty-eight students (mean age 20.9±1.6 years, height 174.3±5.3 cm, weight 72.6±12.6 kg)were recruited as subjects from department of Physical Education of National Ping-Tung University. We used the equipment type number 1.5T Singa Cvi, GE Medical System MRI to process and analyze the left ventricular mass (LVM), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), end-systolic volumes (ESV), end-diastolic volumes (EDV), left ventricular wall thickness (LVWT). We took blood samples during the mornings to analyze the blood lipid profiles such as total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), etc. Pearson’s correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship among left ventricular structure, function and blood lipid profiles. We found that EDV (126.9±18.2 ml ), ESV (52.5±8.2 ml ), SV (74.4±13.6 ml), CO (4634.9±1220.7 ml), and EF was 58.4±4.7 %. There was significant correlation in EDV and SV (r= .34, p< .05). It matched with Frank-Starling Theory. We also found there were significant correlation in end-systolic medial wall thickness and SV (r=.47, p< .05), in End-systolic bass wall thickness and SV, CO (r= .53, r= .48, p< .05), this result matched with athletic heart theory. Additionally, there were no significant correlation (p> .05) in left cardiac structures and lipid, left cardiac functions and blood lipids. It might because of the subjects was health and regular exercise.

The study pertains to the utilization of multiple stepwise to evaluate the results of 17 basic tennis skill & performance results (ranked). Said results used 50 Chinese Culture University sophmore, Junior & Senior year students who had chosen first semester tennis class, who finished a whole<11week> course as test subjects. The results thus gained were arranged into the most representative combination, to show the regressive equation, and to provide studentswith the most efficient and objective evaluation of their performanceresults. Results of this study are as follows: The effectiveness of 17 basic tennis skill in relation to predictingvariables that influence tennis technique ability; goes through 6 techniques: variable 6 of the serving right back hand rebound distance, varible 11 of the forwad hand interception success rate, varible 13 ofthe back hand interception success rate, varible 7 of the forward hand spin ball success rate, varible 16 of the forward hand high rebounddistance, and varible 2 of the 3 minute wall rebound failure rate. Withthese, we obtained a multiple phase coefficient R2=9.9770 with high level of confidence(P<.01), determinant R2=0.9546, in other words the effectiveness of the predictions were 95.46% of the total variant capacity, and additional capacity was .071%. We also obtained the following regression equation:Y=-42.158+0.349X6+0.278X11+0.2354X13+0.170 X7+0.253X16+0.066X2 standard regressive equationZc=0.283 ZX6+0.258ZX11+0.209ZX13+0.202ZX7+0.178ZX16+0.117X2 The results of this study will be a useful refrence to those teachingstaff who are teaching tennis classes.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships among learning satisfaction and learning effect of physical education course on sunior high school students. The physical education course learning satisfaction and learning effect questionnaire was administered to twelve hundred students with ten hundred and fifty vaild questionnaires. Effective recovery rate of 87.5%. Based on the actual survey data, descriptive statistical analysis, t test analysis, one-way analysis of variance, LSD post hoc method and regression analysis and other statistical methods. The results showed that there were signifiacnt differeces in learning satisfaction and learning effect of physical education course between boys and girls. Moreover, learning satisfaction of physical education course significantly predicted learning effect of physical education course.
