Oudihat, Kosseila. "La construction d'un cadre théorique pour l'évaluation d'un intranet : une approche Delphi appuyée par une étude de cas dans le secteur bancaire". Angers, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013ANGE0006.
Texto completoToday's intranet has become the backbone of an organization, having implemented this technology that is both unifying and transforming. This work addresses a fundamental topic in management science: the issue of the evaluation of information systems, including intranet. However, the implementation of an intranet seems to be very expensive, and the results of other techniques are not easily observable. Therefore, it must have the necessary elements to demonstrate and to justify to top management, that the intranet is much more than just an innovative technology solution, taking advantage of the popularity of information technology. This work is a proposal of a theoretical model with evaluation criteria and rules, taking into account the organizational context, in which each is rooted infrastructure. To achieve this, we conducted a qualitative, inductive and exploratory research. It was completed in two phases. In the first, a survey was regulated according to the principles of Delphi studies. In the second, a case study was administered with a banking institution. The results show that, the evaluation of the intranet is, in itself, a participatory process of social construction, and dependent on a suitable organizational change. This process must be carried out according to the criteria associated with two major dimensions: the "quality dimension" and "dimension virtue. " Each is composed of assessment areas. The results obtained provide essential elements to evaluate, and especially to favor the perceived success of the intranet, which depends on both technical and social aspects. This model is both a theoretical contribution, as well as a managerial one, since banks now have tools to measure the success of their intranet. This work highlights the importance of certain variables, and features specific links to the banking sector

Texto completoCompetitive intelligence in companies is a reality. Thus, its epistemology is not yet completed. The understanding of organizational characteristics, internal and external factors, tools, useful competences is varied and sometimes contradictory. This thesis gives a topical analysis of practices and theory. The literature review reveals the emergence of a new topic which groups together management science, information science, strategy. The Delphi method gives us a clear view of the perception of competitive intelligence. A sample of 35 experts, gives opinion about consensus and differences. As an interactive method we worked for consulting in a company, in order to evaluate the competitive intelligence process. With a triangulation, we review theoretical and practical issues of competitive intelligence

Texto completoBackground: With an excess mortality compared to the national average, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are a real issue of Public Health and Therapeutic Education (TVE) in the Nord Pas de Calais (NPDC). When a crisis arises, the patient and his family must bear management until help arrives. Objective: To characterize the decision-making skills to mobilize the patient and his family in crisis situations ; define the conditions of acquisition and implementation. This research is part of a social constructivist approach in which interactions between panelists are asked to reach a consensus. Method : Delphi method over 18 months with 278 "experts": 82 caregivers multidisciplinary and 196 patients, members of Associations and Heart Health NPDC with five successive questionnaires : Q0 demographic data, Q1 define the crisis, Q2 identify situations (frequency, severity), Q3 prioritize skills, Q4 determine the conditions of their acquisition and mobilization (feasibility and limits). Results : 20 skills are characterized and prioritized through a process of consensus that reflects the influence of opinion among panelists and their adjustment. "Identifying the warning signs," "Call a rescue service" get a strong consensus (90%). Perspectives : methodological research from e-Delphi is envisaged for continue the work on characterization of skills about a larger number and a more diverse group ; determine decision-making skills allow to adjust, now, the regional educational programs

Texto completoThis research aims to improve our understanding of communication within the management control process, through the proposal of a measurement model. The literature in communication underlines the need for choice of a precise context for the study of communication. Research in management control shows the importance of concepts like information, relation and communication. However, there is no explanatory model of the communication in this precise context. Our thesis brings a first modelled representation. It is structured in three steps: - A first exploratory empirical phase was carried out, through a Delphi process with 20 controllers in 20 big French companies. - A second confirmatory empirical phase was led on the basis of 390 questionnaires. - A descriptive/prescriptive third phase which permit to extend the answer brought to our research problem, by proposing a communication approach of management control. This research shows the interest of a communication approach for a better understanding of management control process. It led to the development of a three-dimensional measurement model which analyzes the communication act in the management control process according to the organisational communication, the interpersonal communication and the managerial communication. Based on the built model, this research proposes a management control modes typology based on the communication

Texto completoHaving illustrated the importance of idea generation in the new product development process and certain weaknesses of existing methods to detect "weak signals" ideas to drive successful product innovation, the author offers the development of a new ideation method : Branddelphi. Inspired from certains principles of brainstorming (Osborn, 1953), information theory (Shannon, 1948), Delphi method (Dalkey, 1969), evolutionary and adaptive algorithms (Seck, 1996, Goldberg, 2000). The method is developed, tested and validadted in terms of reliability, internal and external validities in two product categories (involving, not involving) and show superior performance in comparison to brainstorming and Delphi method. Future research directions are highlighted with specific interest in idea stating rather than content only, the control and sequential involvement of different consumers (Roger, 1983), as well as different alternatives for algorithm optimization and consumers optimal creative simulation (Zaltman, 2003)

Texto completoHealthcare improvement requires rigorous data analysis and the use of quality indicators is essential. This research has explored the issue of these indicators from two axes: methods used to select indicators and tool used to monitoring them. We first conducted a systematic review on the Delphi method which highlighted a lack of universal standards for its implementation. This lead to heterogeneity in ifs use, an increase in modified version and an ambivalent notion of consensus. We have shown the need to improve the use and reporting of some points of the method including the response rate at each round, feed back to participants before each round and definition of consensus. We provide a number of recommendations to the investigators in order to improve the using and reporting of the method in future surveys. An application of this method to obstetrics has been presented. An international French-speaking multidisciplinary panel selected a set of eighteen indicators covering ail stages of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum period. The second phase involved the study of monitoring tools of quality indicators based on statistical process control. We assessed the use of a quality-control dashboard based on CUSUM charts to monitor the performance of an obstetrics and gynaecology department. The study hypothesis is that continuous quality indicator monitoring using CUSUM chart will increase awareness of quality issues among maternity-unit healthcare workers and permit the rapid detection of small dips in performance. Therefore, a decrease in morbidity and mortality criteria of mother and newborn are expected

Texto completoIn light of the new economic and societal realities of the 21st Century against the backdrop of the emergence of the knowledge economy and the knowledge society, employability has become a major item on the national and supranational political agenda around the world. Additionally, economic and societal trends of globalization, increased mobility of labour and increased access to education have resulted in changed career perspectives whereby the onus has shifted to the individual in terms of career management. The emergence of the knowledge economy in particular has re-ignited a debate that has been latent since the 60’s around how well Higher Education Institutions deliver on their contribution to the development of the human capital required for societal and economic progress. Even though acknowledged as an issue for decades, the gap between the current labour market requirements and the profile of new graduates that enter the world of work seems to remain a topic of discussion. The construct of employability has evolved over the last few decades whereby extensive studies on the topic have illuminated its highly complex, relative and continuously evolving nature. Up to date however, the construct still suffers from ambiguity around what it is; hence complicating the development of effective Higher Education approaches to address it. For this study the construct of employability will be holistically approached by means of three influencing factors of intrinsic, extrinsic and actionable nature. Five themes of activities in Higher Education Institutions have been identified to hold strong potential to effectively address employability: curriculum, support services, employer engagement, quality measurement and leadership. The holistic conceptualization and the five themes will form the basis of this study’s search for clarity around how employability can effectively be addressed in a Higher Education context and how this can be evaluated.Following a Design Science Research methodology, through a qualitative study of three purposefully sampled case studies, extensive literature review and a Delphi Technique, this study outlines the development towards the final proposal of the Employability Development and Assessment Maturity Model (EDAMM) as a validated diagnostic mechanism to evaluate a Higher Education Institution in its fitness for purpose in terms of employability

Texto completoCommon enterprise evaluation business practices are mainly based on financial or accounting references. An actual firm value is estimated on previous results rather than a potentially future wealth. Furthermore, non financials assets, like team qualifications, could be used as well in order to increase a business value. The main thesis goal is to demonstrate a better way for evaluating small businesses value in using non financial assets indicators. The Delphi monographic method was used to demonstrate the relevance of these indicators for small enterprises (virtual firm, regional accounting company of about twenty employees). Results show that an initial estimate made by experts in using evaluation usual ways can be modified when using non financial assets indicators. Present ways for evaluate an enterprise are mainly based on financial or accounting references and the value is estimate with previous result rather than a potentially wealth to come. Non financials assets, like team qualifications, are enable used. The aim of is thesis is to show that using indicator which enable to value non financial assets for a small enterprise lead to a better way of evaluating. After un first selection, the relevance of these indicators was tested through a small enterprise in consulting (virtual firm, regional accounting company of about twenty employees was created for the experimentation). The chosen method, a monographic one, is based on Delphi method. The results show that the initial estimate, made by experts in evaluation using usual ways, can by modificated when we take non financial assets indicators

Texto completoThis work is a contribution to the strengthening of research capacity and the identification of strategies and opportunities to promote better research in oral health in Africa through the filing of the notice of a panel of experts at a Delphi consultation. This especially as systems oral health and scientific knowledge evolves rapidly. However, the African continent is facing many challenges, including the burden of oral diseases and the needs of populations that are huge. To meet these challenges care and ask actions effective public health policy makers need tools, skills and information to assess and monitor health needs, choose intervention strategies, policy options appropriate for the design of their own circumstances and improve system performance oral care. In this context, it is necessary to develop a coherent policy approach to oral health in the African Region, but this implies a better knowledge of the situation. For the advancement of Africa depends on its ability to generate, adapt and use scientific knowledge to meet local needs in health and development. That is why there is an urgent need to build the next generation of African scientists. Universities should promote and support research and training so that students are exposed to research and be taught by researchers throughout their courses. The collection of data on oral health is essential to get an accurate picture of the situation in Africa and to measure progress. Thus the objective of this research is to produce the opinion of a panel of experts on various items at a Delphi consultation two phases. In order to assess the current state of research, identify strategies to promote better research in oral health in Africa and prospects for its development. Analyzes give priorities to focus on the actions and involve a number of recommendations to strengthen and promote the capacity of research in oral health. Ultimately, we must promote a culture of research in national programs of oral health, ensure wide dissemination of research results and use them for planning purposes

Texto completoThe existing landscape of coopetition research, accounting for increased competitive pressures, highlights the necessity to develop frameworks leading to advance our understanding of organizational interactions, and establishes the importance of building a strong research foundation for the study of internal coopetition. However, despite growing literature examining inter-organizational coopetition, the research field has been little investigated in terms of the nature, dynamics and sustainability of the phenomenon within firms. This contrasts with the fact that, organizations have to cope with an increasing structural complexity as well as professional roles which are drastically changing over the years, requiring employees to acquire new types of knowledge, and to engage in new forms of relationships with other actors. The present thesis aims at operationalizing the phenomenon of intra-organizational coopetition, while a theoretically informed model is developed to assess coopetition outcomes on organizational knowledge processes. The study first offers an in-depth understanding of the drivers, dynamics and outcomes of intra-organizational coopetition. Involving an innovative real-time Delphi panel of experts in the field of coopetition, empirical insights expand and add new dimensions to the existing theoretical knowledge on intra-organizational coopetition. Delphi results provide a set of items relevant for the measure of several aspects underlying intra-firm coopetition. The model is then tested among companies operating the knowledge-intensive industry of software edition. Empirical data reveals that intra-firm coopetition leads to different outcomes at the intra- and inter-unit levels. Future research avenues, operational implications for managerial strategies and practices are discussed along with novel propositions directed at educational bodies

Texto completoThe conditions of use and access to medical records became an important source of interest in the last decade. Our objective was to estimate the impact of a patient-held records, shared with health professionals. Using the example of breast cancer management, we identified practitioners and patients’ expectations and we defined the size of a medical records which could be held by each patient. The synthesis of these works allowed us to set up a randomized controlled trial comparing patients with the usual follow-up and patients holding this new records containing essential information for their follow-up. The patient-held records is a source of membership and satisfaction for the patients and health professionals. It was used as a tool of communication between physicians and patients but could also cause anxiety to some patients. The patient quality of life, the data confidentiality or the care consumption remained identical. A new concept of medical records was revealed by this study

Texto completoNotwithstanding the enthusiasm of the professional press for logistics innovation (LI) and the number of innovative logistics solutions accessible to firms, we observe a limited scientific production on this field of research, leaving uncertainties as regards the definition of the concept of LI and its management. From these observations, we tried to clarify the concept of LI using a state of the art and different qualitative methods (scientometric and bibliometric analysis, Delphi survey). Then we analyzed the process of LI adoption on the basis of four case studies. The empirical setting offers variety in the selection of the cases with technological or organizational oriented LIs adopted in different organizations (logistics service providers, retailer, manufacturer, private hospital). As for the concept of LI, we proposed a review of the current scientific production and a definition and characterisation of LI. As for the process of LI adoption, the research resulted in the identification of determinants related to the adoptive organization, the adopted LI, the strategic management of the adopting organization and the adopting personnel, as well as obstacles

Texto completoThe concept of furtivity is present in other sciences or disciplines, often explicitly, or sometimes in a way less studied by scientific research. The situations observed show the negative or coercive side of the furtivity : to observe without being seen, to take the control of resources available, to act as soon as possible, to be propagated or contaminate. But they show also the positive and convenient side of this concept : to escape a threat, to limit the impact of complex situations and to limit uncertainty related to the actors in the company. This study made it possible to bring this concept closer to the field management to give him the operational statute of concept. By bringing it in proximity of certain variables resulting from the organization, the concept of furtivity was confronted with the decision-making and the application of the decision. This research thus makes it possible to gather under a polysemous concept (hidden, secret and fast), practices aiming at infiltrating under these same qualifiers in the relational and organisational play of the company. To developp and test research propositions in these tow directions, a double methodology was adopted. First of all, an exploratory study was conducted by interviewing forty-five managers in order to determine the contours of the research and to prepare further in-depth studies. Then, a Delphi study was used as the last methodological tool. This study united thrity-five high-level managers executives representing several functions of management. The research findings underscore the unique nature of the furtivity. Thus, the presence of the furtive phenomena must be regarded as the result of a strategic action on behalf of the actor in the organization. Either to obtain an advantage, or to decrease the risk or the constraint related to a difficult professional situation. At least, this structure must be built and observed by taking account of four fundamental mechanisms: a report, a phenomenon (furtive), an objective and an impact on the individual or part of the organization

Texto completoThe healthcare systems are paying a great interest to the patients’ perspective for the organization of health care provision. Healthcare system which is accountable and responsive of patients’ needs and preferences is a major issue for the quality and efficiency of care. In this thesis, we analyze the views of patients for the supply of GP care in using different complementary methods about patients’ experience, satisfaction, importance or preferences. These methods are applied to a sample of patients in GP and to a sample of chronically ill patients in order to identify current and future major issues for the reorganization of GP care from the patients’ perspective. The results show the main role of the doctor-patient relationship and especially of the information exchange between doctor and patient and between patient and doctor. However the quality of the doctor-patient relationship is not enough. The technical quality of care (i.e. thoroughness) and the coordination are of high importance for patients. This work highlights that it is necessary to take into account the patients’ experiences in the analysis of their perspective (e.g. preferences) to fully and appropriately understand the results, especially in terms of willingness to change. The systematic and regular screening of patient preferences in daily GP practice can improve the doctor-patient communication and the content of the provision of care from the perspective of patients

Texto completoBusiness information is vital today for the operation of any organization or business. While, big enterprises can, to some extent, fulfil their information needs based on their own resources and capacities, this is not the case for the majority of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SME) due to a lack of resources. Therefore, SMEs look for support from external bodies such as governmental agencies and non-governmental bodies, like Business Membership Organizations (BMOs), to meet their information needs. This state of affairs applies to the stone and marble SMEs in Palestine. They represent the backbone of the industrial sector in the country. The stone and marble SMEs face many challenges. This leads them to look for external support mainly from the Union of Stone and Marble Industry (USM) as their main representative organization. In this context, the overall objective of this study is to analyse the informational and communicational role of the USM and to put forward an appropriate configuration of a Business Intelligence (BI) system for the USM so that it can fulfil its informational mandate to member SMEs in a more effective way. To do this, a literature review was carried out into the informational and communicational roles of BMOs, the concept of BI and its implementation, and Critical Success factors (CSFs). This led to using a decision aiding process, in particular, the PROMETHEE outranking methodology to develop and evaluate different alternatives of how to operate each of the BI process tasks. A decisional Delphi Technique was adapted to derive a set of evaluation criteria in order to evaluate the performance of different alternatives for each Business Intelligence Process (BIP) task. The findings of the study showed that the USM need to work mainly with the Palestinian Stone and Marble Centre in order to develop its BIP tasks. The researcher recommends step-by-step interventions to ensure a successful implementation of BI so that the USM can better fulfil its informational and communicational role
