Resumen

Abstract Basing on the first and second law of thermodynamics the fundamental trends in the Polish energy policy are analysed, including the aspects of environmental protection. The thermodynamical improvement of real processes (reduction of exergy losses) is the main way leading to an improvement of the effectivity of energy consumption. If the exergy loss is economically not justified, we have to do with an error from the viewpoint of the second law analysis. The paper contains a thermodynamical analysis of the ratio of final and primary energy, as well as the analysis of the thermo-ecological cost and index of sustainable development concerning primary energy. Analyses of thermo-ecological costs concerning electricity and centralized heat production have been also carried out. The effect of increasing the share of high-efficiency cogeneration has been analyzed, too. Attention has been paid to an improved efficiency of the transmission and distribution of electricity, which is of special importance from the viewpoint of the second law analysis. The improvement of the energy effectivity in industry was analyzed on the example of physical recuperation, being of special importance from the point of view of exergy analysis.

An effective lower bound on the entropy of some explicit quadratic plane Cremona transformations is given. The motivation is that such transformations (Hénon maps, or Feistel ciphers) are used in symmetric key cryptography. Moreover, a hyperbolic plane Cremona transformation g is rigid, in the sense of [5], and under further explicit conditions some power of g is tight.

Resumen

The use of technology-based media increases students’ motivation and learning effectivity in the classroom. This research aims to develop, to examine the appropriateness and the effectivity of flash-based media at Senior High School. This development research uses the ADDIE model. Based on the research result, the score of validity trials from the material expert is 72, the score from the media expert is 58 and from the practitioner expert is 75. The assessment from the material, media and practitioner expert show that flash-based media is in the appropriate category. Effectiveness test of the flash-based media development is through the testing of hypothesis, the data shows that for both experimental and controlled class in pre-test and post-test, the score is Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, and the score of the students’ motivation in learning for pre-test and post-test in both experimental and controlled is Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. It means that the flash-based media increases students’ motivation and achievement in the learning process. This research result supports the theories of technology learning, especially for the development of learning aids and media for English subject.

Resumen

This research focused on entrepreneurship education-based learning within motivation guidebook. Purpose of the research was to determine the effectivity ofthe entrepreneurship education-based learning within motivation guidebook onstudents� short story writing skill. This research was a quantitative type of research. It was conducted to students of grade XI in SMA Negeri 6 Semarang. Data collection method was a short story writing test. Data analysis was conducted by t-test formula to determine whether there was an improvement before and after the treatment. Result of the research indicated that value of tcount was 6.62 and on 5% significance, n = 30, ttable = 1.68. The tcount was higher than t-table, meaning that ha was acceptable. Thus, the learning of entrepreneurship education-based short story writing within motivation guidebook was effective to develop short story writing skill.

Resumen

Post stroke patients need medical rehabilitation to live an independent life. Nintendo Wii technology presents an alternative choice that is quite safe, feasible, and has a high potential in rehabilitating & restoring motor function in post stroke patients. Although it has been widely used as adjunct therapy in stroke rehabilitation facilities throughout the world, only a few acknowledge its effectivity in post-stroke patients. This study aims to conduct a systematic review in order to identify and assess the results used in evaluating Nintendo Wii technology as rehabilitation therapy for stroke patients. Thus, the study used for this research is systematic review. Materials included in this study are research/studies found in NCBI, PubMed, Cochrane and other relevant online databases. From this research, it is found that Virtual Reality (VR) such as Nintendo Wii considered as an additional rehabilitation therapy that provides a significant improvement in various aspects of exercise therapy, such as; balance; walking ability; statistical and dynamic strengths; motivation as well as socialization; and recovery of physical function in stroke patients. Nintendo Wii can also be used safely in stroke patients and there have been no reports of side effects from this therapy.

Resumen

The aim of this research is to measure the influence of motivation towards teachers’ work effectivity. The research used survey method. Collecting data technique used a Likert scale model questionnaire by scoring between 1 up to 5. The respondents were all of the teachers of SMK Pasundan 3 Bandung. Data analysis technique which used was simple regression. The result showed that motivation has a positive influence towards effectiveness of teachers’ work significantly. It means that work effectiveness can be improved by increasing motivation.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh motivasi terhadap efektivitas kerja guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket model skala Likert dengan rentang skor 1-5. Responden adalah seluruh guru di SMK Pasundan 3 Bandung. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap efektivitas kerja guru. Dengan demikian efektivitas kerja guru dapat ditingkatkan melalui peningkatan motivasi.

The paper aims to find out which motivational factors can effectively increase employee motivation, to know whether the delivered incentives are sufficient or not and also to know effect of incentives in their performance. Motivation and its influence on organizational performance has always remained highly researched area and have gone through many discussions and repetitions. In this research both exploratory and descriptive research design used to explore employee motivation issues in schools of Birgunj Metropolitan city. Data was collected through Questionnaire and content analysis. It is revealed that motivating factors and motivational packages has positive impact on employee motivation in private schools. The responses of this paper were analyzed and found that monetary and non-monetary both incentives are active tools to motivate workforce. Good salary and allowances have been used as monetary motivators, while, good working environment, freedom to work and recognition as non-monetary motivator. This study has recommended that promotion system of the career development is desired to satisfy and motivate the employee. Moreover, the work appreciation should craft the feeling that they are value for the organization.

Resumen

One of the problems that employees often face is the employment pressure from their superiors. The impact of the problem includes the increase of employee turnover, the decrease of employee motivation, and the increase of employee absenteeism. Such condition decreases organizational effectivity. Therefore, the first step done by the organization is to increase employee commitment in order to improve effectiveness. To increase employees' commitment, the role of leadership is very important. One of the most popular leadership styles and suitable applied in many setting is the transformational leadership style. It significantly contributes to the improvement of organizational commitment. The leadership has four dimensions: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration. The current study aims to find empirical evidence of the contribution of transformational leadership styles to organizational commitment. The employees of BPR in the city of Semarang are used as samples in the study. The data used are primary data obtained from the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. This study used descriptive analysis techniques and multiple linear regression. The results prove that simultaneously transformational leadership style significantly influence the organizational commitment. Partially inspirational motivation and individualized consideration variables have a significantly positive effect on organizational commitment. However, the idealized influence and intellectual stimulation variable have no effect on organizational commitment. The findings have theoritical and practical implication. From theoritical side, the continued research need to conduct to give clearer description of the two variables relationship. From practical side, leaders of BPR can consider the findings to improve their employee commitment.. Keywords: transformational leadership style and organizational commitment

Resumen

In this article some comments are made on research into business communication as a new vogue in applied linguistics (instead of as enrichment in text linguistics). Critical remarks are also made, in terms of cost-benefit analysis, about the difficulties that liberal arts students have in finding a job within a business setting. The main part of this article is devoted to the writing and rewriting of instruction texts, with an example of the instruction for use of a steam iron. The rewriting techniques for clarifying this text are reduced to the suitability principle and maxims like the maxim of motivation and the maxim of disambiguity. Within this theoretical framework the (re)writing of business texts can be more than an activity for the Muses and will be of benefit to Mercury in enhancing the effectivity of instruction manuals and other texts.

The objective of this study is to find out the effectiveness of group work strategy in maximizing the students’ courage in delivering questions during the online classes. In particular, this study will examine theories on learning, online learning, group work, and courage in delivering questions as part of character building. The approach to be applied in this research is quantitative methods. The research design implemented in this study is classroom action research for 36 students of Class XII IPS 1 at SMAN 9 Semarang. The technique of collecting data uses observation techniques, interviews, and documentation studies. The results show that Learning with the group work can increase the courage of students to ask questions up to more than 75% which shows the effectivity of the strategy and the teacher’s strategy in determining the persons involving in a group work plays a significant role in the success of group work and the motivation to deliver questions during the online classes.

<em>The aim of this research is to investigate the implication of internal marketing and internal service quality effectivity towards internal customer satisfaction in Tourism Industry in Yogyakarta Special Territory. This internal marketing studyinvolves variables of motivation and reward system, effective communication, effective employee's selection, effective recruitment, effective development, effective support system, and healthy work environment. While the internal quality service aspects that will be examined in this study are: tangible, emphaty, responsiveness, reliability and assurance, and then their influences on internal customer satisfaction would be analyzed.The sample size is 210 respondents,which is determined using purposive sampling method. The main instrument for data collection in this study is through questionnaire. The analysis tool used to examine the hypothesis of the study is Structural Equation Modeling using AMOS Version 20.0 Software. The result of the study shows that: Internal marketing and internal quality service significantly influence internal customers satisfation. However, the internal quality service influence the internal customers satisfaction more significantly. Therefore the managers in tourism industry should improve the internal marketing more than the internal quality service.</em>

Motivation is one of the most important factors in the enjoyment and success in learning any subject, especially a foreign language. Many students approach the learning of a language based on academic mandates, family impositions, job requirements, and so on. These non-intrinsic motivations make learning a more difficult, frustrating, and non-pleasurable experience, both for students and teachers. Therefore, skills in motivating learners should be seen as central to teaching effectively. In this article, we provide a series of strategies for teachers to gradually lead students from an extrinsic motivation to a more internal and autonomous motivation. This approach is framed within one of the most recent and well-known theories of motivation: self-determination theory.

This research aims to develop agriculture accounting training module in order to increase palm oil farmer financial literacy, in this case farmers in Donomulyo, Malang Regency, Indonesia. The method utilized in model development is Design Based Research using the following progression: problem identification, explanation of goals, design and development of artifacts, artifact testing, evaluation on artifact testing, and communication of artifact testing result. Examination was conducted on 25 palm oil farmers, through individual learning on agriculture accounting training to increase financial literacy. Module effectivity was determined should 50% of community members apply separate accounting records for agriculture and household respectively. Module development result has been validated and revised by economy lesson plan experts, education media experts, and agriculture accounting experts. Module composition consists of Chapter 1 (An Introduction to Agriculture Accounting), Chapter 2 (Accounting Basic Procedure), Chapter 3 (Agriculture Break Event Point), Chapter 4 (Agriculture Opportunity Cost Calculation), Chapter 5 (Palm Oil Farmer Household Financial Management). Graphic design provides colorful layout to increase learners’ interest and motivation to learn module content. 76% of the total number of participating farmers have utilized modules and implemented accounting in daily life.

This study aims to determine the description of the creativity of teaching some English teachers in Yunior High School in Banyumas regency during pandemic covid-19, particularly in using online learning media. The method used in the research is descriptive qualitative. One of online learning challenge is boredom, less motivation, uninteresting learning, many homeworks, and also the students don’t go to school for a long time and they will disturb the learning effectivity. In this case, teachers creativity is primarly needed so teachers can manage online learning to be an interesting class and it will motivate students to study and in turn it will also improve students ’achievement. The results show that from 8 English Yunior High School teachers in Banyumas regency researched, found many various way of teaching online using online media. The creativity that has done is the planning, implementing, dan evaluation in teaching online. There are 3 online media used in planning & implementing, they are Whatsapp group, Google Classroom, and Video Converence (Zoom/Google meet). In addition there are 5 online media used in evaluation, they are Ms. Word, Google Forms, Quizizz, Ms. Forms. And Online Crossword. From this study concluded that English teachers creativity is very good in which each teacher has his/her own creativity adapted with the students’ situation & condition and it becomes the other choice of teaching online model for readers.

Science and Technology develop very fast in every aspect of life, including in the aspect of education. As the development of science and technology, guiding teachers to be able to make use various kinds of creative and innovative learning media in learning process at school is needed in order to increase the effectivity of the learning process which will have impact on the students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes. According to the explanation, learning multimedia needs to be developed in order to increase the students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes. This research is a research and development (R&D), which is then modified by using Tessmer formative evaluation. Gamification is the use of game design elements in nongame contexts and has been shown to be effective in motivating behavior change. By seeing game elements as “motivational affordances,” and formalizing the relationship between these elements and motivational affordances, it is the position of this article that gamification can be effectively applied to improve software systems across many different application domains. The research reported here aims to formalize the relationship between game elements and motivation, toward making gamification’s use more systematic. The focus is on the development of a framework linking commonly occurring game elements with the components of a psychological motivational model known as the self-determination theory, coupled with a proposed framework of commonly occurring game elements. The goal is to inform system designers who would like to leverage gamification of the game elements they would need to employ as motivational affordances.

Introduction: The purposes of this study were to explore the factors that motivated and those that discouraged students from speaking English outside of the classroom at Asia-Pacific International University, Mauk Lek Campus. The university offers undergraduate programs in both English and Thai medium. The majority of Thai students who were enrolled in both programs notably lived in the University dormitories, which exposed them to students from 32 different countries, yet were still hesitant to speak English. Methods: Using the convenience sampling method, 197 students were selected to participate in this study. A descriptive quantitative method and a self-administered questionnaire were used to collect the data. Result: The findings reveal that motivation for speaking English outside the classroom was mainly for instrumental motivational reasons (M=4.17, SD=0.59), followed by integrative motivational reasons (M=3.74, SD=0.67). Less clear reasons were intrinsic motivation (M=3.41, SD=0.75) and extrinsic motivation (M=3.32, SD=0.82) motivations. The study also reported that factors such as inadequate vocabulary to speak effectively, insufficient knowledge of English grammar, and inability to speak English fluently and continuously, were perceived as hindering them from speaking English outside the classroom. Lastly, the study found statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level in instrumental motivation, intrinsic motivation, and extrinsic motivation when compared with gender, faculty, class status, program of study, and period of learning. Discussion: The recommendations for future research threefold: to study learning approaches to a variety of vocabularies which would enhance students’ communication outside of the classroom; to study participants from other nationalities; and to use a larger sample using other types of sampling and data collection methods.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to identify push and pull factors that motivate decision makers to choose wedding banquet venues, and to explore the relationships between the motivational factors and demographic information. Design/methodology/approach – The initial questionnaire was pre-tested involving a sample of six graduate students in a hospitality management program of a major university in the Midwestern USA. The wordings were changed based on their feedback. The final survey was consisted of three sections: push motivations, pull motivations, and demographic information. In the first section, 13 push motivation statements were employed to investigate decision makers' reasons for selecting a wedding banquet venue. Findings – The four push factors identified included “seeking relaxation and knowledge,” “fulfilling prestige,” “escaping from daily routine,” and “social networking.” The six pull factors were composed of “budget,” “atmosphere,” “facilities,” “wedding services,” “transportation,” and “service and quality.” Originality/value – The study helps event industry practitioners understand consumers’ motivations of choosing wedding venues and predict consumers’ behavior. It further suggests marketing strategies to effectively communicate with existing and potential consumers.

While some motivation theories try to find out how motivation occurs. Vroom, Adams, Locke and Lantham created the most influential process. The aim of this paper is to find out which motivation factors can effectively increase employee motivation, to know the provided incentives are sufficient or not and the effect of incentives in their performance. This study has suggested that promotion system of the career development is needed to satisfy and motivate the employee. Moreover, the work recognition should create the feeling of they are worth for the organization. The information gained from this paper might be a good starting point for creating motivating systems for existing employees and for new comers. This research was conducted to find out the motivational factors and its effect on employee performance of Bethany Higher Secondary School. Researcher developed a survey questionnaire and distributed to get the view of all the employees. All the responses were analyzed and found that monetary and non-monetary incentives are used to motivate workforce. Good salary and allowances has been used as monetary motivators. This research aims to determine the role of productive zakat toward the productive performance of mustahiq at their workplace.This research used qualitative methods through descriptive case study analysis.Characteristic of theinformant research are the mustahiq that already registered as BAZ Jatim member. The number of informant tested of this research by six mustahiq and there are two managers of BAZNAS were asked for further information from the beginning of the research. The sampling technique used by this research is interview instrument and triangulatin process as the validity tool.Based on the results of the research indicate that there are several role of productive zakat that affect the productive performance of mustahiq compared to the period before the zakat was distributed. The four factors as a result are the three main indicators, which is quantitative indicators, are change of number from the raw materials, quantity of productions, and the frequency of productions done. And the additional indicator is the effectivity of resource used, which is the factory overhead used of the production. Furthermore, in the process of research the productive zakat is also have a role to increasethe motivation to produce and the religiosity of mustahiq.Advice for the distributioninstitutions of zakat, are improves the number of productive programs and increases the management and distributions of the zakat, infaq, and shadaqah as a funding for the empowerment the people so that of the lng term the zakat can be an instrument for the poor and slum reduction. For the second next research, are adding the informations of productive zakat and its management.

Introduction. In the modern Ukrainian inclusive educational space, the motivation of the scientific and pedagogical employee of the educational institution in the conditions of global economic development, which is extremely relevant today, acquires special importance. Purpose. It consists in carrying out appropriate measures of effective activity and motivation of the scientific and pedagogical employee of the inclusive institution. Results. The article identifies the priority of motivation of research and teaching staff, which includes a number of components, namely: motivation of work, motivating staff to work effectively, which provides the necessary rewards and meets existing needs; motivation for stable and productive employment; motivation for the development of employee competitiveness, etc. The motivational model of the relationship between the head and the teaching staff is method of calculating the term of the contract of the subject of educational services is represented. The management of the subject an inclusive educational institution in the conditions of global economic development is analyzed. It is determined that the structure of the educational sphere in particular inclusive education as a socio-economic model has a complex many profile character, the elements of the structure of the educational space are characterized by a complex system of relationships and interdependence. The characteristics of the main components of motivation individuals of higher education subjects, which determine the behavior of providing educational services and form its motivational structure are highlighted and given. It is individual for each subject of educational services and is determined by many factors: level of well-being, social status, qualification, position, value orientations, etc. The development of the educational system of each country as a socio-economic model is characterized on the one hand by internal (national) features and patterns of development and on the other hand, the development of national systems is directly influenced by the external environment, determined primarily by global processes. It is substantiated that globalization has become a challenge for higher education in which modern higher education institutions are becoming global institutions.

This study was designed to investigate factors associated with Mainland China’s senior overseas travel motivations and the role in explaining preferences, sociodemographic and travel features. The study was conducted with 496 seniors. The statistical analyses included factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way analysis of variance, and chi-square test. Result showed that eight domains defined the overseas travel motivations of Mainland Chinese seniors. Cluster analysis produced a five-cluster solution based on motivations. The cluster with lowest motivations were older, primary school graduates with lowest income and generally low set of preferences. Ultimately, understanding motivation can effectively promote travel among the aging population.

El aprendizaje ha dejado de ser una actividad interna e individual para pasar a ser una actividad colectiva y en red. Este artículo describe los resultados de un estudio cuantitativo que tuvo como objetivo analizar las percepciones y valoraciones de estudiantes de la Universidad de Lleida en relación con la implementación del modelo flipped classroom. Se aplicó un cuestionario diseñado ad hoc. Los datos se recogieron de manera longitudinal durante dos cursos académicos, 2015-2016 y 2016-2017. La muestra del estudio fue de 259 participantes. Los resultados muestran que mejoró la experiencia de aprendizaje y su efectividad, siendo los resultados más positivos en los estudiantes de mayor edad. De entre las conclusiones destacamos que este modelo genera una mayor motivación entre los estudiantes, pero al mismo tiempo mayores niveles de corresponsabilidad y compromiso en estudiantado y profesorado. The progress in the digital world has generated a radical change in the way to access and transmit knowledge. The learning process is no more an internal and individual activity; nowadays is a collective activity in the network. This article describes the results of a quantitative study which purpose was to analyse the students’ perceptions and valuations regarding the implementations of the flipped classroom model. An ad hoc questionnaire was designed. Data were collected longitudinally during two academic years, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017. The sample of the study was 259 participants. Results show that in general learning experience and its effectivity improve, being the most positive results in the older students. Among the conclusions we highlight that the model improves students’ motivation but it requires high levels of responsibility and commitment in both students and teachers.

Purpose – Motivation is a widely explored topic and numerous studies have been done to determine motivation importance and implementation. However, no studies have been identified that investigate what motivators are most important to physicians and if physician leaders agree with the importance physicians place on specific motivational aspects. The purpose of this paper is to investigate this missed management learning opportunity. Design/methodology/approach – A fully inclusive sampling of all (n=2,547) public-practice physicians and physician leaders (clinic and hospital employed, non-private practice) in Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota was conducted in the summer and fall of 2013. The surveys were sent in a link via a web survey software program by the study researchers. The surveys were anonymous and minimally intrusive, asking only for perspectives regarding the most important motivational elements by physicians and physician leaders. Findings – Generally, the responses were surprisingly similar between physicians and physician leaders. The two statistically different motivators – interesting work and job security – were ranked as more important by physicians than the physician leaders. This suggests that leaders should be more attentive to ensuring variety, challenge, and engagement is an active part of the physicians’ work. This also suggests that managers should emphasize and reinforce the fact that – if it is the case – jobs are secure and that staffing stability is a key goal for management. As Kovach (1987) suggests, as employees’ income increases, money becomes less of a motivator and as employees get older, interesting work becomes more of a motivator. Research limitations/implications – Conclusions and generalizations can be made about the population sampled. Practical implications – The two statistically different motivators – interesting work and job security – were ranked as more important by physicians than the physician leaders. This suggests that leaders should be more attentive to ensuring variety, challenge, and engagement is an active part of the physicians’ work. This also suggests that managers should emphasize and reinforce the fact that – if it is the case – jobs are secure and that staffing stability is a key goal for management. Social implications – As this study reveals, physicians have clear preferences when it comes to workplace motivation. It is not unreasonable then to determine that the more satisfied the employee, the better he or she will perform. Accordingly, the environment that managers create for their employees must be one that is constructive to positive energy. If employees feel happy when they are working, then they will be naturally encouraged to work, thus producing improved quality healthcare for patients. Originality/value – What are the most important motivators for physicians and do physician leaders understand what motivators are to enhance physician productivity, well-being, and morale? Answers to this question may be beneficial to designing leadership education that enhances the understanding of the impact effectively identified and effectively applied motivation techniques may have on employee behavior and attitudes. Insights will also benefit the design of motivational structures and methods in the healthcare workplace.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate malaria elimination in Ethiopia. Ethiopia has planned to eliminate malaria by 2015 in areas of unstable malaria transmission and in the entire country by 2020. However, there is a shortage and maldistribution of the health workforce in general and malaria experts in particular. Training, motivating, and retaining the health workforce involved in malaria control is one strategy to address the shortage and maldistribution of the health workforce to achieve the goal of elimination.Methods: Policy options include the following: (i) in-service training (educational outreach visits, continuing education meetings and workshops, audit and feedback, tailored interventions, and guideline dissemination) may improve professional practice; (ii) recruiting and training malaria specialists together with academic support, career guidance, and social support may increase the number of malaria experts; and (iii) motivation and retention packages (such as financial, educational, personal, and professional support incentives) may help motivate and retain malaria professionals.Results: Implementation strategies include the following: (i) massive training of health personnel involved in malaria elimination and malaria experts (requiring special training) at different levels (national, sub-national, District & community levels), and (ii) recruiting highly qualified health personnel and retention and motivation mechanisms are needed.Conclusions: The lack of adequately trained human resources and personnel attrition are major challenges to effectively implement the planned multi-faceted malaria elimination by 2020 strategy in Ethiopia. Although a reduction in malaria incidence has been observed in the last 3-4 years, maintaining this success and achieving the malaria elimination goal with the present human resource profile will be impossible. A clear strategy for developing the capacity of the health workers in general, and malaria experts in particular, and retaining and motivating staff are crucial for malaria control and elimination.

Theories of motivation suggest different motives to improve productivity, but their effectiveness is not sufficiently validated in case of IT professionals. This study uses empirical data from online surveys of information technology professionals. The purpose of the study is to identify the factors that motivate professionals to work more efficiently, initiatively and productively. The results of the study show that to effectively solve the problem of motivating IT professionals, it is useful to use different theories of motivation, combine these theories and construct new concepts of motivation.

This article reviews the research results of a large number of Chinese and foreign scholars, and combines social identification theory, social exchange theory, social capital theory, stakeholder theory, and principal-agent theory to build a model of individual donation willingness in Chinese universities. The questionnaire was designed, and after collecting and analyzing the data, the hypothesis was verified, and the regression relationship between willingness to donate and different motivations was obtained through response analysis. In addition, this article takes alumni identity as an intermediary variable, and studies the interaction between donation motivation, alumni identity, and willingness to donate. Based on the above research, this article concludes that there is a strong correlation between the motivation and willingness of individuals to donate to universities. Among them, reputation motivation, social responsibility realization, consolidate the relationship, tax incentives, and warm motivation have a significant effect on the willingness to donate. In addition, there is a strong correlation between alumni identity and willingness to donate. It is believed that these research conclusions can enable universities to recognize the purpose of individual donations, and to raise funds more effectively and reasonably for these motivations, thereby expanding the source of school funding and achieving sustainable development of the school.

The purpose of this study was to determine which incentives are most effective in motivating medical students to practice in rural areas of South Carolina, which can be informative for the medical practitioner rural recruitment process. Medical students attending the University of South Carolina School of Medicine located in Columbia, South Carolina were surveyed about demographic information, motivations for rural practice, and considerations for choosing a practice location (n=109). Chi-square tests and bivariate analyses were used to test for significant differences. A significant relationship was found between previous residence in a rural area and personal motivation to practice in a rural area (p<0.001). It was also found that 86.2% of students who had previously lived, worked, or served in rural areas had a personal motivation to practice medicine in a rural area, confirming previous research. Loan forgiveness options were the most appealing personal incentive for the students in this study, closely followed by guaranteed minimum incomes and tax incentives; financial incentives were more preferred than non-financial incentives like reduced on-call work and accelerated residencies. The results of this study can be utilized to craft future state-supported incentive programs or to tailor current programs to more effectively recruit students to rural practice. A significant relationship was found between previous residence in a rural area and personal motivation to practice in a rural area (p<0.001). It was also found that 86.2% of students who had previously lived, worked, or served in rural areas had a personal motivation to practice medicine in a rural area, confirming previous research. Loan forgiveness options were the most appealing personal incentive for the students in this study, closely followed by guaranteed minimum incomes and tax incentives; financial incentives were more preferred than non-financial incentives like reduced on-call work and accelerated residencies. The results of this study can be utilized to craft future state-supported incentive programs or to tailor current programs to more effectively recruit students to rural practice. Introduction. The role of separate components in the formation of the corporate culture of a tourist organization is researched. The essence of the main components of the corporate culture of the tourist organization is considered. Considerable attention is paid to the need to take into account the influence of personnel motivation on the formation of a corporate culture of a tourist organization. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to prove the need to take into account the motivational aspects in the formation of corporate culture in the institutions of the tourism industry and study certain motivational components of corporate culture, which provides the image and profitability of tourism enterprises. Method (methodology) of the work is based on the methodology of forming the corporate culture of the tourist organization, the methodology of work motivation and the application of motivational mechanisms to specialists in the field of tourism. Results. Our research allows us to conclude that insufficient consideration of the role of staff motivation in shaping the corporate culture of the tourism organization is due to the lack of understanding of managers of the importance of the problem and requires further research. Subject to mastering the theoretical foundations of staff motivation and skillful use of motivational mechanisms, tourism professionals will be able to effectively influence the formation of corporate culture of the tourism organization in order to ensure its competitiveness, image and profitability.

The study sought to determine the work motivation of employees in an industrial establishment in the Philippines and how the motivational strategies that the company carries out are effectively translated into their workforce. The data was taken from a consented establishment and a random sampling was done to select the employees to answer the multi-dimension work motivation questionnaire. Qualitative data was also collected to determine the motivational strategies done by the company through an interview with their human resources department. Results showed that the workers in the industrial establishment were moderately motivated people. This was constituted by the motivational dimensions with majority of the respondents having low amotivation score, low to moderate extrinsic regulation score, high introjected regulation score, identified regulation and intrinsic regulation score. Likewise, there was a significant prediction with three variables from the demographic data, which include number of years in service, educational attainment and pay grade. The latter variable had the only negative predicting factor against the motivational score. Motivational score was, by theory, affected by the motivational strategy that was implored by the human resource management of the company. These strategies are categorized as work environment, rewards, punishment, leadership, and non-monetary incentives. Thus, the study recommended that there is room for additional strategies that can be made and added to current practices in industrial management, especially in the implementing department, to increase motivation of workers.

Abstract Background and Purpose: Motivation of this research is to explore the current trend in automating the business processes through software robots (Robotic Process Automation – RPA) and its managing within enterprise environment where most of the processes are executed by human workforce. As the RPA technology expands the demand for its coordinating grows as well. The possible solution to this challenge is shown in case study research in form of implementing orchestration platform to a concrete business process of onboarding in HR department of a multinational company. The aim of this paper is to explore the phases and activities of the pilot project implementation of Robotic Service Orchestration (RSO) in combination with RPA technology and to assess the potential benefits. Design/Methodology/Approach: Case study research approach was selected to explore the research phenomena, which is the implementation of RSO platform in combination with RPA technology and assessing incoming benefits. The case is formed with 2 companies – (1) multinational company with ongoing effort of automating onboarding process, (2) technology and consulting company delivering the automation solution. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with respondents from two involved companies and by analysing internal documents. Results: The analysis of case provided in this paper revealed some key insights: (1) strategical position of RSO and tactical position of RPA towards the existing legacy systems, (2) need for increased focus on initial process modelling phase, (3) Application Programming Interface (API) integration is more viable solution for RPA, (4) the biggest benefit of RPA - its agility, (5) future potential of the RSO replacing the BPMS. Conclusions: First of all, there is a need of higher number of software robots adopted in a company before orchestration could pay off. On the other side, current Business Process Management Systems (BPMS) solutions don’t offer functionalities for managing human and software robots workforce altogether. RPA is expected to expand and without proper orchestration the effectivity will not grow constantly.

Visiting a museum is a popular activity in the tourism industry, especially in cultural and learning-based tourism. To help plan museums effectively, this study investigated the underlying motivations and constraints and their impact on the perceived physical environment and visitor satisfaction toward a museum. The results suggest that the physical environment of museums serves as an axial mediator among motivations, constraints and visitor satisfaction. Six essential factors of physical environment are affected by motivations and constraints, further affecting visitor satisfaction in various patterns, in which architectural planning, exhibition, external environment, and entrance are clearly affected by basic motivations and constraints. Under motivations, family education and self-development are the most two profound influences on enhancing visitor satisfaction through the physical environment. Shops and café are worth special attention in meeting motivation of attractiveness, occasion and social interaction. The results could support the planning and design of a satisfactory museum.

Globally, users are sharing content on social networking sites (SNS) to signal their preferences and to build a positive online reputation. Using the approach and avoidance motivation theory, we examine the relationship among online impression, guilt and valence of shared content on SNS. Two experiments were conducted to test the conceptual model. The findings indicate that people prefer sharing positive content over negative content. Also, negative content induces guilt and affects the online impression and motivations to achieve desired goals. Therefore, social media marketers can use distinct valence of content to help consumers to achieve their goals effectively, especially in the fields of health care and education. The results suggest that avoidance motivation is more effective than approach motivation for achieving the goal of a positive online image.

The issue of motivating the labor personnel to work effectively has been studied. The views of the world scientific community on employee motivation have been analyzed. Motivation has been proved as a determining factor in ensuring the efficient and coordinated work of employees. The hypothesis has been put forward concerning the influence of such aspects of the labor activity as advanced training, a level of responsibility, work experience, promptness, quality of work, and labor intensity on the labor potential motivation. The degree of influence of these aspects of work is determined based on the method of pairwise comparisons. The reliability of the calculations was proved by determining the consistency of experts’ opinions based on Spearman's rank correlation methodology.

The purpose of any motivation programme is to motivate the organization’s employees to enable them work effectively. However, motivating employees is not an easy thing as what motivates employees differs among people. This paper intended to establish a set of factors that can motivate employees of Construction Joinst Stock Corporation (PVNC) and to establish the policy implications of these factors for managing staff of the PVNC. Questionnaire as research instrument was used and floated to 109. In total, 70 usable responses were received which were analyzed through SPSS 17.0 and used T-test statistic, ANOVA analysis, and linear regression. Results showed that good salary is the most important motivational factor followed by Opportunity for promotion. The paper revealed that these two factors are not the only factors that are needed to motivate employees of the PVNC. Other factors, including Supervisory practices and relations with authorities and Organization’s policies, are equally important depending on the type of motivational theory that is adopted. The study finally stresses the avoidance of disparities in pay/reward among staff of the same rank as a strategy to motivate and retain high quality staff in the PVNC. The study thus raises red flags that warn the management to be extra careful in their attempt to motivate staff of PVNC for effective.

In physical education learning activities, motivational factors become one of the key activeness of students in moving. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of a technical approach using techniques to motivate teaching by invitation to learning motivation in physical education learning. This research is a quasi-experimental study involving the dick group consisting of 25 students (12 male and 13 female) and the experimental group consisting of 23 students (11 male and 12 female). The instrument used was a motivation questionnaire with a reliability score of alpha Cronbah 0.896. The results showed that there were significant differences between the experimental and control groups with a t value of 3.022 and a significance of 0.004 0.05. The technique of motivating teaching by invitation effectively can increase student motivation in participating in physical education learning. AbstrakPada kegiatan pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani (penjas), faktor motivasi menjadi salah satu kunci keaktifan siswa dalam bergerak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendekatan teknis menggunakan teknik memotivasi teaching by invitation terhadap motivasi belajar dalam pembelajaran penjas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan melibatkan kelompok kontrol sebanyak 25 siswa (12 laki-laki dan 13 perempuan) dan kelompok eksperimen terdiri dari 23 siswa (11 laki-laki dan 12 perempuan). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi dengan reliabilitas skor alpha Cronbah 0.896. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan nilai t hitung 3,022 dan signifikansi 0,004 0,05. Teknik memotivasi teaching by invitation secara efektif mampu meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran penjas.

The reason for the low quality of student learning makes the author interested in studying this problem. This paper contributes to using e-learning methods, student activeness, and student achievement motivation and can improve learning outcomes. Researchers find a digital-based learning process, the use of e-learning teaching methods in students' achievement motivation towards learning outcomes. The authors see student learning outcomes after using e-learning. Respondents of the study were 35 students who took Christian religious education subjects. The results of the study revealed that independent use of the material received very high scores. Student activeness is carried out correctly and effectively, the highest perceived to be at a mean value of 4.35. Students who take advantage of e-learning have high learning outcomes. The use of e-learning methods, student activeness, and student achievement motivation is implemented correctly and effectively. It was believed to be able to improve the learning outcomes of Christian Religious Education.

This article is intended to promote consideration and discussion of ethical issues in motivational interventions. The popular concept of client “denial” encompasses a broad range of motivational behaviors including lying, perceptual bias, unawareness, ambivalence, resistance and reactance. The “problem of motivation” typically arises when a therapist perceives a problem and sufficient need for change in someone who does not share this perception. In considering how to respond to such situations, one can conceive of a continuum of levels of readiness to change, and of therapeutic strategies ranging from passivity to coercion. Ethical concerns arise when there is a perceived mismatch between readiness level and intervention strategy. Motivational interviewing is a middle way between passivity and coercion, seeking to evoke intrinsic motivation for change by making salient the inconsistency of problem behavior and that which is more deeply valued. The concern that this approach is “manipulative” combines a descriptive element and an evaluative component. Three possible descriptive meanings are discussed: that it effectively alters behavior, that it does so in persons not seeking or requesting change, and that it may operate through processes not immediately apparent. Ethical concerns regarding motivational intervention are considered within this broader context.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the interest and motivation of choosing senior high schools. Subjects in this study were students in 1 Krayan East Kalimantan, with the purposive sampling technique. The method of analysis used in this study is Product Moment .Motivation variable data analysis choosing a school with a variable interest in showing the value of r =0.475 with a significance level of p =0.000. There is a significant positive relationship between interest and motivation in students choosing school SMP Negeri 1 Krayan. The determinant coefficient of 0.225, meaning interest variable contribute effectively in motivating choose schools as 22.5 %, while the remaining 77.5 % is influenced by other factors such as the intrinsic factor consisting of passion and desire to succeed, hopes and ideals of extrinsic factors that consists of awards in learning, conducive learning environment and engaging learning activities .Keywords: Interests, Motivation Choosing Schools.

Learning strateries and efforts have popularly recognized academic motivation as the driving force of student academic performance. The present study examines the direct and indirect effect of classroom climate on student academic motivation at the tertiary level. A sample population of 119 freshmen from Hanoi Law University was approached to respond to a questionnaire. The result shows that classroom climate positively affects student academic motivation and that the relationship is significantly mediated by academic self-efficacy. Particularly, the findings indicate that a favourable classroom climate can effectively improve student academic motivation, the planned and fair classroom climates effectually build students’ self-efficacy in their learning. This study highlights the indispensable and pivotal role that a planned, cohesive, and fair classroom climate plays in motivating students to learn. Moreover, it provides references for policymakers, school administrators, and lecturers in building a positive and healthy classroom climate.

Effective functioning of any organization is based on a seamless blend of the interaction between a person and organization. The importance of various types of work motivation aimed at achieving the goals of the organization and encouraging staff to work effectively determined the relevance of the study. The purpose of the study is to find ways to improve the system of work motivation, on the example of a particular enterprise, and to develop recommendations for improving the performance of the enterprise based on a motivational mechanism. The research objectives are the following: to analyze the current system of work motivation, to assess the efficiency of labor resources at the enterprise, to develop proposals for improving the financial performance of the enterprise through the motivational mechanism. The object of the study is the staff of OOO KL GROUP company specializing in retail trade of footwear, clothing and other products made of genuine leather. The subject of the study is the system of work motivation of staff and financial performance of the company. The following methods were used in the work: comparison, monographic, economic and statistical, horizontal and vertical analysis, expert assessment, sociology, organization theory and others. The authors used the results of a survey conducted by the territorial managers of the company in ten sales departments in order to identify the intensity of customer flows and the time-management of the company employees. A systematic approach in studying motivation factors allowed to develop proposals for creating a system of staff motivation at the enterprise. It is concluded that the implementation of the work motivation mechanism in the sales departments of OOO KL GROUP company gives the following results: satisfaction with the employees and their activities increases, and the company receives an annual increase in profits. Thus, work motivation affects the financial performance of the company.

Analisis data kevalidan dan kepraktisan dilakukan dengan cara mengkonversi skor empiris yang diperoleh menjadi data kualitatif skala lima. Analisis keefektifan dilakukan dengan cara menentukan persentase banyak siswa yang mencapai kategori minimal tinggi untuk angket dan menentukan persentase ketuntasan siswa pada tes prestasi belajar. Berdasarkan hasil validasi, RPP dan Modul yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid dengan kategori sangat baik. RPP dan Modul yang dikembangkan praktis dan efektif. Based on the validation result of lesson plans and module which have been developed, they include in valid criteria with very good category. Lesson plans and module which have been developed are practical and effective. AbstractMotivation is one of the key factors that stimulate individuals to improve their productivity. Therefore, motivation of construction workers has been debated with considerable interest by participants in the construction industry. However, motivating only construction workers, but ignoring the motivation of construction professionals, viz., architects and civil engineers, may not be enough to successfully complete a construction project. Although motivation of construction professionals may also enhance the performance of a construction project, this topic is mostly ignored in the motivation literature. This study attempts to fill this gap by (1) identifying the motivators that are of importance to architects and civil engineers and (2) exploring the statistical difference between architects’ and civil engineers’ motivators. For this purpose, a questionnaire survey was administered to Turkish architects and civil engineers to collect data on their perceptions of the importance of different motivators. The case of Turkey is investigated because several of the larger Turkish contractors undertake construction projects outside their home country. Statistical analysis was performed on the collected data to verify whether there are statistically significant differences in the perception of some motivators by architects and civil engineers. The study demonstrates the existence of a statistically significant difference between architects’ and civil engineers’ motivators. Identifying the architects’ and civil engineers’ motivators may help construction companies in motivating their architects and civil engineers more effectively, thus developing a quality workforce.
