This work presents the synthesis and hydrodesulfurization performance of NiMo sulfide catalysts supported on γ-Al2O3 during the hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of dibenzothiophene (DBT). The catalysts were synthesized by the co-impregnation method using an atomic ratio of Ni=Ni/(Ni+Mo)=0.5. The materials were characterized by N2 physisorption, XRD and HRTEM. This catalyst exhibited the larger pore size and high specific surface area, as well as better morphological properties. The catalytic activity was evaluated using a high-pressure batch reactor at 280 °C and 3.0 MPa. The catalytic activity during HDS-DBT indicated that the NiMoS/γ-Al2O3 catalyst was better than that NiMoS/γ-Al2O3 catalyst. the NiMoS/γ-Al2O3 catalyst exhibits higher DDS selectivity (3.0) than NiMo/γ-Al2O3 catalyst (2.55).

Resumen
The effect of Ga and V as support-modifier and promoter of NiMoV/Al2O3-Ga2O3 catalyst on hydrogenation (HYD) and hydrodesulfurization (HDS) activities was studied. The catalysts were characterized by elemental analysis, textural properties, XRD, XPS, EDS elemental mapping and High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The chemical analyses by X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) and CHNS-O elemental analysis showed results for all compounds in agreement, within experimental accuracy, according to stoichiometric values proposed to Mo/Ni = 6 and (V+Ni)/(V+Ni+Mo) = 0.35. The sol-gel synthesis method increased the surface area by incorporation of Ga3+ ions into the Al2O3 forming Ga-O-Al bonding; whereas the impregnation synthesis method leads to decrease by blocking of alumina pores, as follows NiMoV/Al-Ga(1%-I) < NiMoV/Al-Ga(1%-SG) < NiMo/Al2O3 < Al2O3-Ga2O3(1%-I) < Al2O3-Ga2O3(1%-SG) < Al2O3, propitiating Dp-BJH between 6.18 and 7.89 nm. XRD confirmed a bulk structure typical of (NH4)4[NiMo6O24H6]•5H2O and XPS the presence at the surface of Mo4+, Mo6+, NixSy, Ni2+, Ga3+ and V5+ species, respectively. The EDS elemental mapping confirmed that Ni, Mo, Al, Ga, V and S are well-distributed on Al2O3-Ga2O3(1%-SG) support. The HRTEM analysis shows that the length and stacking distribution of MoS2 crystallites varied from 5.07 to 5.94 nm and 2.74 to 3.58 with synthesis method (SG to I). The results of the characterization sulfided catalysts showed that the synthesis method via impregnation induced largest presence of gallium on the surface influencing the dispersion V5+ species, this effect improves the dispersion of the MoS2 phase and increasing the number of active sites, which correlates well with the dibenzothiophene HDS and naphthalene HYD activities. The dibenzothiophene HDS activities with overall pseudo-first-order rate constants’ values (kHDS) from 1.65 to 7.07 L/(h·mol·m2) follow the order: NiMoV-S/Al-Ga(1%-I) < NiMo-S/Al2O3 < NiMoV-S/Al-Ga(1%-SG), whereas the rate constants’ values (k) of naphthalene HYD from 0.022 to 2.23 L/(h·mol·m2) as follow: NiMoV-S/Al-Ga(1%-SG) < NiMo-S/Al2O3 < NiMoV-S/Al-Ga(1%-I). We consider that Ga and V act as structural promoters in the NiMo catalysts supported on Al2O3 that allows the largest generation of BRIM sites for HYD and CUS sites for DDS.

The effect of glycols on the catalytic properties of phosphate-doped NiMo/Al2O3 catalysts in the hydrotreating of straight-run gas oil (SRGO) was studied. The NiMo(P)/Al2O3 catalysts were prepared using ethylene glycol (EG), diethylene glycol (DEG), and triethylene glycol (TEG) as additives. The organic agent was introduced into the aqueous impregnation solution obtained by the dissolving of MoO3 in H3PO4 solution, followed by Ni(OH)2 addition. The Raman and UV–Vis studies show that the impregnation solution contains diphosphopentamolybdate HxP2Mo5O23(6−x)− and Ni(H2O)62+, and that these ions are not affected by the presence of glycols. When the impregnation solution comes in contact with the γ-Al2O3 surface, HxP2Mo5O23(6−x)− is decomposed completely. The catalysts were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, low-temperature N2 adsorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. It is shown that the sulfide catalysts prepared with glycols display higher activity in the hydrotreating of straight-run gas oil than the NiMoP/Al2O3 catalyst prepared without the additive. The hydrodesulfurization and hydrodenitrogenation activities depend on the glycol type and are decreased in the following order: NiMoP-DEG/Al2O3 > NiMoP-EG/Al2O3 > NiMoP-TEG/Al2O3 > NiMoP/Al2O3. The higher activity of NiMoP-DEG/Al2O3 can be explained with the higher dispersion of molybdenum on the surface of the catalyst in the sulfide state.

Precious metal-free NiMoM (M = Pr2O3, Cu2O) catalysts have been synthesized through a simple coreduction method, without any surfactant or support material, and characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The resultant Pr2O3- or Cu2O-modified NiMo catalysts exhibit different structures, which is due to a difference in the synergistic effects of NiMo and the modifying elements. NiMoPr2O3 has an amorphous structure, with low crystallinity and uniform particle dispersion, while NiMo@Cu2O adopts the core–shell structure, where the core and shell are synergistic with each other to promote electron transfer efficiency. The support material-free nanocatalysts Ni9Mo1(Pr2O3)0.375 and Ni4Mo@Cu2O are both highly efficient compared with bimetallic NiMo catalysts, in terms of hydrogen generation from hydrous hydrazine (N2H4·H2O) at 343 K, with total turnover frequencies (TOFs) of 62 h−1 and 71.4 h−1, respectively. Their corresponding activation energies (Ea) were determined to be 43.24 kJ mol−1 and 46.47 kJ mol−1, respectively. This is the first report on the use of Pr-modified NiMo and core–shell NiMo@Cu2O catalysts, and these results may be used to promote the effective application of noble metal-free nanocatalysts for hydrogen production from hydrous hydrazine.

The nimO predicted protein of Aspergillus nidulans is related structurally and functionally to Dbf4p, the regulatory subunit of Cdc7p kinase in budding yeast. nimOp and Dbf4p are most similar in their C-termini, which contain a PEST motif and a novel, short-looped Cys2-His2 zinc finger-like motif. DNA labelling and reciprocal shift assays using ts-lethal nimO18 mutants showed that nimO is required for initiation of DNA synthesis and for efficient progression through S phase. nimO18 mutants abrogated a cell cycle checkpoint linking S and M phases by segregating their unreplicated chromatin. This checkpoint defect did not interfere with other checkpoints monitoring spindle assembly and DNA damage (dimer lesions), but did prevent activation of a DNA replication checkpoint. The division of unreplicated chromatin was accelerated in cells lacking a component of the anaphase-promoting complex (bimEAPC1), consistent with the involvement of nimO and APC/C in separate checkpoint pathways. A nimO deletion conferred DNA synthesis and checkpoint defects similar to nimO18. Inducible nimO alleles lacking as many as 244 C-terminal amino acids supported hyphal growth, but not asexual development, when overexpressed in a ts-lethal nimO18 strain. However, the truncated alleles could not rescue a nimO deletion, indicating that the C terminus is essential and suggesting some type of interaction among nimO polypeptides.

In this work, a novel polyoxometalate template-based strategy was applied to construct the bi-metal-doped CdS photocatalysts. NiMo6 polyoxometalate template precursor was applied for the preparation of Ni, Mo co-doped CdS photocatalysts (NiMo-CdS). The structures of the materials were explored by XRD, SEM, HRTEM, HAADF, element mapping, XPS, Raman spectrum and UV-vis DRS. Moreover, the results of the UV-vis spectrum showed that NiMo-CdS exhibited an enhanced performance on light absorption. The results of photocatalytic hydrogen evolution from water splitting demonstrated that the NiMo-CdS showed higher efficiency on hydrogen evolution than noble-metal Pt-doped CdS. The reason could be ascribed to the enhanced light absorption ability and charge separation after Ni and Mo were introduced, which could also act as co-catalysts. The apparent quantum yield (AQY) efficiency could reach 42% at 365 nm. This work proposed a novel and inexpensive method to synthesize the bi-metal (Ni, Mo) decorated CdS photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen evolution from water splitting.

El efecto del soporte modificado con cerio en precursores catalíticos de NiMo tipo Anderson sobre la hidrodesulfuración de tiofeno fue investigada. Los sólidos fueron caracterizados por área específica (SBET), difracción de rayos X (DRX) y espectroscopía infrarroja (FTIR). El soporte modificado con cerio se impregnó con una solución acuosa del heteropolioxomolibdato tipo Anderson de Ni. La presencia de (NH4)4[NiMo6O24H6]•5H2O y alúmina en fases gamma y gibbsita se verificó por DRX, mientras que el FTIR permitió asignar las características vibracionales de la estructura tipo Anderson, debido a los estiramientos y flexiones de los grupos funcionales presentes. Los soportes γ-Al2O3, γ-Al2O3-Ce y Ce/γ-Al2O3 mostraron mayor área específica (149-66 m2/g) que los precursores catalíticos NiMo6/γ-Al2O3, NiMo6/γ-Al2O3-Ce y NiMo6-Ce/γ-Al2O3 (76-36 m2/g). Los catalizadores provenientes de alúminas modificadas con cerio presentaron mayor actividad HDS que los obtenidos con alúmina no modificada, lo cual está asociado a la formación de mayor número de sitios activos.

Precursores catalíticos de polioxometalatos de FeMo, CoMo y NiMo tipo Anderson-Evans soportados sobre zeolita β en la hidrodesulfuración de tiofeno fue investigada. Los sólidos fueron caracterizados por análisis elemental (ICP plasma), área específica (SBET), difracción de rayos X (DRX) y espectroscopía infrarroja (FTIR). El soporte se impregnó con una solución acuosa del heteropolioxomolibdatos tipo Anderson-Evans de FeMo, CoMo y NiMo. El análisis elemental de Fe, Co, Ni y Mo dio resultados de acuerdo con la exactitud experimental de las relaciones atómicas nominales para cada precursor. La presencia de zeolita β, (NH4)3[FeMo6O24H6]•7H2O, (NH4)3[CoMo6O24H6]•7H2O y (NH4)4[NiMo6O24H6]•5H2O se verificó por DRX, mientras que el FTIR permitió asignar los estiramientos y flexiones de los grupos funcionales presentes en la estructura del heteropolioxomolibdato Anderson-Evans y la zeolita β. Los precursores catalíticos FeMo6/zeolita β, CoMo6/zeolita β y NiMo6/zeolita β mostraron mayor área específica (204-268 m2/g) que los heteropolioxomolibdatos tipo Anderson-Evans (1-3 m2/g). Los catalizadores provenientes de heteropolioxometalatos tipo Anderson-Evans de FeMo, CoMo y NiMo soportados en zeolita β presentaron mayor actividad HDS que los precursores no soportados (FeMo6/zeolita β y CoMo6/zeolita β), lo cual está asociado a la formación de mayor número de sitios activos.

In this paper, the incorporation of carbide and nitride phases supported on mesoporous materials like SBA type is described in order to obtain a better material than commercial catalysts (NiMoS/Al2O3, Sg=269 m2.gr-1) specifically in the HDS of dibenzothiophene. The XRD patterns exhibit the presence of carbide and nitride phases in each series, respectively. In the nitride materials, the presence of oxide phases was more evident than in the carbide catalysts. The principal product was biphenyl (BF) for all the analyzed series. This behavior suggests that the DBT desulphurization pathway for the carbide materials was similar to that of sulfide catalysts. Bicyclohexyl (BCH) was analyzed as a product, and cyclohexylbenzene traces (CHB) were determined in a single catalyst (NiMoC-2%P/SBA-16). This was attributed to the hydrogenation character of carbide catalyst reported previously.

Research on a subject of the preparation of Ni-Mo catalyst on pillared clay support by wetness impregnation method will be investigated in laboratory. The metal concentration of Mo, which will be treated, is roughly 20 %wt and of Ni is 3 %wt. Due to using MoO3 as the metal active catalyst; therefore the support has to contain a specific surface area more than 210 m2/gr in order to achieve the high dispersion of active metal on the support. Also, the effect of the pH of the Mo impregnation solution to the metal active dispersion and activity for Coker naphtha hydrodesulfurization (HDS) will be studied. Characterization of the catalyst will be conducted by using X-ray Diffraction, FT-Infrared, X-ray fluorescence and nitrogen sorption measurement. It is found that the surface area of the support is generated almost 280 m2/gr by pillarization with the oxide composition of the catalyst was 12%-wt of MoO3 and 1.4%-wt of NiO. NiMo-PILC pH-10 catalyst had higher dispersion of active metal on the support than NiMo-PILC pH-1 catalyst. On NiMo-PILC pH-10 catalyst, there was a substantial part of Mo species in the interlayer space of the Al-pillared lay, probably in interaction with the alumina pillar. Although, it has to be more detail investigated. From the result of the activity test for Coker naphtha HDS showed that NiMo­ PILC pH-10 catalyst had slightly higher activity than NiMo-PILC pH-1 catalyst. However, the both of catalyst still had not good enough activity if compare with the commercial catalyst.Keywords: Montmorillonite-Pillared Clay, Ni-Mo catalyst, Preparation Abstrak Suatu penelitian mengenai preparasi katalis Ni-Mo pada penyangga lempung berpilar dengan metoda impregnasi basah dirancang dan dilakukan dalam skala laboratorium. Konsentrasi logam Mo yang digunakan sebesar 13%-b MoO3 dan logam Ni 4%-b NiO. Karena fasa aktif katalis yang digunakan adalah MoO3 maka luas permukaan penyangga yang dibutuhkan adalah lebih besar dari 210 m2/gr guna mendapatkan dispersi yang tinggi. Selain itu, dipelajari juga efek pH larutan impregnasi Mo terhadap dispersi fasa aktif dan aktivitas katalis pada reaksi hidrodesulfurisasi coker nafta. Karakterisasi katalis berpenyangga dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat difraksi sinar-x, FT-IR, XRF serta dilakukan pengukuran luas permukaan spesifiknya. Dari penelitian ini, didapatkan luas permukaan penyangga lempung berpilar sebesar 277 m2/gr dengan komposisi okasida katalis NiMo yang dihasilkan adalah 12%-b MoO3 dan 1.4%-b NiO. Katalis NiMo-PILC pH-1O memiliki dispersi logam aktif yang lebih tinggi pada penyangga jika dibandingkan dengan katalis NiMo-PILC pH-1. Selain itu, pada katalis NiMo-PILC pH-10 ditemukan adanya sebagian logam Mo yang masuk kedalam ruang interlayer dari lempung, yang diduga menjadi pilar. Namun hal ini harus diteliti lebih detail. Hasil uji aktivitas katalis pada reaksi HDS coker nafta menunjukan bahwa katalis NiMo-PILC pH-10 memiliki aktivitas yang lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan katalis NiMo-PILC pH-1. Namun aktivitas dari kedua katalis tersebut masih di bawah dari katalis hidrotreating komersial. Kata kunci: Coker Nafta, Katalis Ni-Mo, Lempung Berpilar, Preparasi

Conflicts often occur with public facility construction. In sociology terms, the factor caused opposite opinions and flights from neighborhood people called NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) phenomenon. Although NIMBY has been mentioned and discussed in lots of related researches, but there is no particular one to focus on making NIMBY phenomenon into quantization based on construction job-site interface. In this study, the Wastewater Sewer System construction project has been taken as a real case to find main factors caused NIMBY phenomenon and then makes the affiliated NIMBY phenomenon into quantization. The Wastewater Sewer System construction project is taken as the demonstration case due to wastewater facility belong to low accepting and high NIMBY within all public construction projects. In this study, the questionnaire and consulting survey are made to investigate the professional opinions of experts of sewer system facility and NIMBY response of citizens. The questionnaire is designed by fuzzy linguistic scale and quantized by Fuzzy Delphi Method. Then mainly factors caused NIMBY phenomenon and corresponding improvement measures are derived by the result of questionnaires and anti-NIMBY self-check list which can be established and used in daily process at construction job-site. This research develops NIMBY curves to estimate the NIMBY affection of citizens under the unsure circumstance of noise, air and water pollution with sewer system construction. Also the fuzzy rule base can be discovered by predicting NIMBY affection under the various violence of noise, air and water pollution in Fuzzy Inference Method. The anti-NIMBY self-check list for sewer system construction developed by this study can be used for examining the factor caused NIMBY and finding corresponding improvement measures in pre-construction period and construction period for managing workers at construction field. During construction period, the NIMBY Conflict Index system calculated from fuzzy rule based on NIMBY affection can be executed persistently to control NIMBY affection to avoid NIMBY conflict events happened.

NiMoB alloy films were deposited on silicon substrate by electroless deposition for diffusion barrier application in copper interconnects technology. NiMoB(40nm)/SiO2/Si and NiMoB(20nm)/Cu (40nm)/NiMoB(40nm)/SiO2/Si samples were prepared and annealed at temperatures ranging from 400◦C to 600◦C. Samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Four Point Probes (FPP) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) to investigate the phases, composition, sheet resistance and surface morphology. The results showed that electroless deposited NiMoB film can be used as an effective Cu diffusion barrier layer until 500◦C. And the failure mechanism is that NiMoB crystallized and grains grew after annealing at high temperature, a large number of Cu grains passed through NiMoB film via grain boundaries and then reacted with Si substrate and oxygen, causing the generation of highly resistive Cu4Si and CuO.

As the impact factors of the waste Not-In-My-Back Yard (NIMBY) crisis are complex, and the scenario evolution path of it is diverse. Once the crisis is not handled properly, it will bring adverse effects on the construction of waste NIMBY facilities, economic development and social stability. Consequently, based on ground theory, this paper takes the waste NIMBY crisis in China from 2006 to 2019 as typical cases, through coding analysis, scenario evolution factors of waste NIMBY crisis are established. Furtherly, three key scenarios were obtained, namely, external situation (E), situation state (S), emergency management (M), what is more, scenario evolution law of waste NIMBY crisis is revealed. Then, the dynamic Bayesian network theory is used to construct the dynamic scenario evolution network of waste NIMBY crisis. Finally, based on the above models, Xiantao waste NIMBY crisis is taken as a case study, and the dynamic process of scenario evolution network is visually displayed by using Netica. The simulation results show that the scenario evolution network of Xiantao waste NIMBY crisis is basically consistent with the actual incident development process, which confirms the effectiveness and feasibility of the model.

This is the first study to comprehensively evaluate the benefit of urban open spaces and cropland with different adjacent public facilities seen as locally undesirable (“not in my backyard”, NIMBY) or desirable (“yes in my backyard”, YIMBY). The total benefit increases or decreases for urban open space and cropland with adjacent NIMBY or YIMBY facilities in a municipality in Taiwan. The results show that for the city as a whole, the current arrangement of NIMBY and YIMBY in different zones decreases the total benefit of urban open spaces in highly urbanized zones and increases the total damage to cropland in extremely rural zones. This indicates a need to avoid further installing NIMBY or YIMBY facilities in already occupied urban open spaces. The results also demonstrate that locating NIMBY or YIMBY facilities near cropland fails to highlight the benefit of YIMBY facilities and magnifies opposition to NIMBY facilities. For individual housing units, the total damage is 1.87% of the average housing price for cropland-type open space with adjacent NIMBY or YIMBY facilities, and the total benefit is 7.43% of the average housing price for urban-type open space in a highly urbanized area. In contrast, the total benefit for open space with adjacent NIMBY or YIMBY facilities is a 2.95–13.80% increase in the average housing price for areas with mixed urban open space and cropland.

Environmental conflicts have been a top global focus and issue for human’s sustainable development. China is confronted with a serious situation with a rigid demand of ecological governance, in which the “Not In My Back Yard” (NIMBY) crisis outbreaks frequently. NIMBY has a great impact on government management and social stability. This study aims to analyze the NIMBY crisis transformation path for municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) in China. Considering environmental, social and economic influences, this study seeks to find methods of transforming dangers into opportunities. A conceptual framework for realizing the NIMBY crisis transformation in waste management decision-making was conducted with a hybrid approach. A fishbone diagram was applied to explain the key factors of NIMBY crisis transformation for MSWI. Integrating Bayesian network structure discovery and co-word analysis into a qualitative analysis, searched data and key factors from a literature search engine with specific themes were used for structure learning. The results showed that project location, benefit compensation, publicity and education, public decision, public participation, the rule of law and multiple governance have distinct influences on the NIMBY crisis transformation process in China. In summary, the conceptual framework describes the complex process of NIMBY crisis transformation and helps to deepen data mining for municipal solid waste management (MSWM).

Abstract NiMo-5%TiC, NiMo-15%TiC, and NiMo-25%TiC coatings were prepared on GCr15 steel by laser cladding (LC). The microstructure and the phases of the obtained coatings were analyzed using ultra-depth-of-field microscopy (UDFM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), respectively. A ball-on-disk wear test was used to analyze the friction-wear performance of the substrate and the NiMo-TiC coatings under grease-lubrication condition. The results show that the grain shape of NiMo-TiC coatings is dendritic. The wear resistance of NiMo-TiC coatings is improved by the addition of TiC, and the depths of the worn tracks on the substrate and on the NiMo-5%TiC, NiMo-15%TiC, and NiMo-25%TiC coatings are 4.183 μm, 2.164 μm, 1.882 μm, and 1.246 μm, respectively, and the corresponding wear rates are 72.25 μm3/s/N, 32.00 μm3/s/N, 18.10 μm3/s/N, and 7.99 μm3/s/N, respectively; this shows that the NiMo-25%TiC coating has the highest wear resistance among the three kinds of coatings. The wear mechanism of NiMo-TiC coatings is abrasive wear, and the addition of TiC plays a role in resisting wear during the friction process.

Wear resistant NiMo/Mo2Ni3Si intermetallic composite with a microstructure of ternary metal silicide Mo2Ni3Si primary dendritic, the long strip-like NiMo intermetallic phase, and a small amount of Ni/NiMo eutectics structure were designed and fabricated. Wear resistance of NiMo/Mo2Ni3Si composites were evaluated under different load at room-temperature dry-sliding wear test conditions. Results indicate that NiMo/Mo2Ni3Si composites have excellent wear resistance and sluggish wear-load dependence. The dominant wear mechanisms of NiMo/Mo2Ni3Si composites are soft abrasion and slightly superficial oxidative wear.

The future and continuity of nanomaterials are heavily dependent on their availability and affordability. This could be achieved when cheap materials are actively employed as starting materials for nanomaterials synthesis. In this study, waste corn cob char was used as support during the preparation of the NiMo catalyst, and the effect of different char-activating techniques on the microstructure, yield and quality of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) obtained from waste polypropylene (PP) plastics using the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technique was investigated. Properties of the catalysts and obtained nanomaterials were evaluated by XRD, SEM, N2 physisorption experiment, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy and TEM. Results showed improved surface properties of the NiMo catalyst supported on chemically (NiMo/ACX) and physically activated char (NiMo/ACT) compared to the NiMo catalyst supported on non-activated char (NiMo/AC0). High-quality CNTs were deposited over NiMo/ACT compared to NiMo/ACX and NiMo/AC0. It was also observed that different activation methods resulted in the formation of CNTs of different microstructures and yield. Optimum yield (470.0 mg CNTs/g catalyst) was obtained with NiMo/AC0, while NiMo/ACT gave the least product yield (70.0 mg CNTs/g catalyst) of the as-produced nanomaterials. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that utilizing a cheap pyrogenic product of waste corn cob as a catalyst support in a bimetallic NiMo catalyst could offer a promising approach to mass producing CNTs and as a low-cost alternative in CNTs production from waste plastics.

Nimodipine (NIMO) has been identified as a second-generation dihydropyridine calcium channel antagonist. NIMO’s specificity for the cerebrovascular smooth muscle contributes to its broad usage in treating ischemic cerebrovascular diseases in the elderly. Therefore, enhancing NIMO’s therapeutic effect and reducing its adverse reactions caused by short-term repeated use have become a focus of research. As a result, a new controlled-release preparation of NIMO, the carboxymethyl chitosan/nimodipine-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin nanoparticle (Nano-NIMO), was constructed based on hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin. The novel composite Nano-NIMO preparation could significantly improve the stability of NIMO in rat plasma, achieving an absolute bioavailability as high as 62.3%, which is three times that of the traditional NIMO oral preparation. Therefore, Nano-NIMO is expected to provide a new direction for the preparation of modified controlled-release Nano- NIMO agents.

Along with urban development globally, the NIMBY (Not-In-My-Backyard) crisis has been a complex social problem, which requires urgent remedial action. The inevitable management of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) has been one of the toughest risk management tasks in the worldwide modernization process. At present, certain fuzzy and unstructured results and methods have been formed for MSW-NIMBY crisis response, mainly focusing on the sociology and politics which scatter in complex and sensitive reports and news. Aiming at enhancing the effectiveness of data mining from specific sparse text of MSW-NIMBY crisis, an improved knowledge extraction method is developed. Through rule-based text mining and complex network analysis, the Entity Relationship (ER) network of MSW-NIMBY crisis is reconstructed. Meanwhile, a novel transitivity for relationship between entities in semantic analysis is proposed to improve the feasibility and accuracy of information extraction. Characteristics and regularity of MSW-NIMBY crisis evolution and experience of crisis governance could be identified effectively. Results show that knowledge integration and ER transitivity can enhance knowledge recognition and major other factors, which could help formulate the governance strategies of NIMBY crisis from academic texts.

In this study, NiMo catalysts that have different metal loadings in the range of ca. 28–106 µg cm−2 were electrodeposited on the Ti substrate followed by their decoration with a very low amount of Au-crystallites in the range of ca. 1–5 µg cm−2 using the galvanic displacement method. The catalytic performance for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) was evaluated on the NiMo/Ti and Au(NiMo)/Ti catalysts in an alkaline medium. It was found that among the investigated NiMo/Ti and Au(NiMo)/Ti catalysts, the Au(NiMo)/Ti-3 catalyst with the Au loading of 5.2 µg cm−2 gives the lowest overpotential of 252 mV for the HER to reach a current density of 10 mA·cm−2. The current densities for HER increase ca. 1.1–2.7 and ca. 1.1–2.2 times on the NiMo/Ti and Au(NiMo)/Ti catalysts, respectively, at −0.424 V, with an increase in temperature from 25 °C to 75 °C.

How should the public administrative department direct the diffusion of public opinions in a not-in-my-backyard (NIMBY) crisis? This paper first analyzes the macroevolutionary characteristics of the public opinion associated with a NIMBY crisis. We then examine the perceptive interactions among individuals towards NIMBY projects from a microscopic perspective and develop an evolutionary game model (i.e., replicator dynamics) to describe the interactions among individuals. We also use information entropy and dynamic equations to construct an interaction entropy model and a dynamic equation to capture administrative-department-led public opinion. Through examining the existence and stability of the evolutionary equilibrium of these models, we analyze the evolution of NIMBY public opinion.

Construction of not in my back yard (NIMBY) facility Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects are feasible measures to realize sustainable urbanization. In order to ensure the smooth development of the NIMBY facility PPP projects, the problem of choosing the most suitable operation mode among many PPP modes is still scarce and unscientific. In order to select the operation mode of the PPP projects that best fits the characteristics of the project, this paper constructs the operation mode selection of the NIMBY facility PPP project. Firstly, the index system of operation mode selection of the NIMBY facility PPP project is determined. G1 subjective weighting method and information entropy objective weighting method are introduced to solve the optimal weight of each index. Grey correlation theory is used to improve TOPSIS method, and the calculation form of relative proximity degree is optimized to determine the most suitable operation mode for the project. In this paper, combined weighting and TOPSIS method are applied to the research of NIMBY facility PPP project, and the operation mode selection of NIMBY facility PPP project is established, which makes up the blank of this part. Finally, a PPP project in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China, is taken as an example to verify the applicability of the model. The effectiveness of this model was tested by comparing the results of TOPSIS method, Grey target model, Extended matter-element mode and GRA-TOPSIS. It is hoped to provide useful reference for the operation mode selection of NIMBY facility PPP project.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sistem komunikasi yang berjalan dalam siaran game streaming di Nimo TV. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui sistem kerja dari kelas prekariat dalam industri game streaming. Material and Metode. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Obyek dalam penelitian ini adalah platform Nimo TV. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa purposive sampling yang berfokus pada akun Nimo TV Littlehope. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan data yang didapatkan, peneliti melakukan analisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif dan semiotika model Peirce. Hasil. Dalam teori sistem komunikasi, Nimo TV memanfaatkan fasilitas berupa komunikasi timbal balik. Antara streamer dan penonton dapat saling berkomunikasi. Komunikasi tersebut di fasilitasi dengan kolom komentar. Bahkan untuk membuat interaksi sosial terasa nyata, Nimo TV juga menyediakan fasilitas berupa pemberian penghargaan. Meski begitu, secara bersamaan Nimo TV juga memunculkan isu sosial berupa kerentanan terhadap para streamer. Para streamer kemudian masuk dalam kategori precariat. Kesimpulan. Platform Nimo TV memberikan fasilitas kepada pengguna untuk berkomunikasi dua arah, antara streamer dan penonton. Akan tetapi dibalik itu, Nimo TV juga memunculkan isu sosial baru berupa pekerja preakriat. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat berfokus pada ekonomi politik live streaming yang dikembangkan oleh media baru. Abstrack Objective. Technological developments have led to streaming game platforms such as Nimo TV. The presence of the platform also triggered the emergence of precariat classes in the broadcasting and gaming industries. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication system that runs in streaming game broadcasts on Nimo TV. Besides, it is also to find out the working order of precariat classes in the streaming game industry. Materials and Methods. The method used in this research is qualitative. The object of this research is the Nimo TV platform. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling, which focuses on the Nimo TV Little hope account. Data collection techniques used were observation and documentation. Based on the data obtained, the researchers conducted an analysis using descriptive analysis techniques and the Peirce model semiotics. Results In the communication system theory, Nimo TV utilizes the facilities in the form of reciprocal communication. Between streamers and viewers can communicate with each other. This communication is facilitated by a comment column. Even to make social interactions feel real, Nimo TV also provides facilities in the form of awards. Even so, simultaneously, Nimo TV also raises social issues in the way of vulnerability to streamers. Streamers are then included in the precariat category. Conclusion. The Nimo TV platform provides facilities for users to communicate both ways, between streamers and viewers. But behind that, Nimo TV also raises new social issues in the form of precariat workers. Suggestions for further research can focus on the political economy of live streaming developed by new media.

NIMBY (Not in My Backyard) projects are easily stigmatized due to their environmental risk. Stigmatization enlarges residents’ risk perception, urges residents to spread information, and takes actions to resist project implementation, causing environmental mass emergency. Taking paraxylene (PX) project as an example, information dissemination model of NIMBY project under stigmatization based on SEIR model in small world network was established, and the information dissemination process and characteristics of NIMBY project under stigmatization were simulated and analysed. The results show that (1) the public risk perception deviation caused by stigmatization promotes residents to disseminate information; (2) stigmatization has a greater impact on the information dissemination of NIMBY project with low environmental risk; (3) stigmatization accelerates the speed of information dissemination and increases the number of residents participating in information dissemination in different dissemination environment. The contribution of this paper is that SEIR model in small world network is used to verify the role of stigmatization in promoting information dissemination of NIMBY project by comparing the information dissemination before and after stigmatization.

The rapid urbanization process has brought many pollution NIMBY facilities, and the associated pollution NIMBY conflicts have become one of the important factors restricting social stability. With the advent of the media era, new media has become the main channel for the public to recognize risks and master information, which greatly aggravates the social amplification effect of NIMBY conflict risk. In this case, it is of great significance to explore the interest relationship among the local government, the new media, and the local people and their roles in the NIMBY conflict. Based on the stakeholder theory, this paper constructs a three-party evolutionary game model of the local government, the new media, and the local people and carries out numerical simulation on the evolutionary model using MATLAB. The results show that the local government adopts a certain degree of regulatory strategy for the new media, the new media adopts the strategy of publicizing facts, and the local people adopts the strategy of nonresistance, which are the stable strategy points of the evolutionary game among the three stakeholders in the NIMBY conflict. The local government’s intervention in rumors to a certain extent is conducive to promoting the new media to publicize facts of the pollution NIMBY facilities and to restrain the local people’s choice of resistance strategies. The local government’s punishment to the new media spreading rumors should be kept above a certain level to restrain the new media spreading rumors. When the local people’s resistance reaches a certain level, the local government’s intervention will break down and the new media will become hyperactive. The results of this paper can provide some enlightenment for the stakeholders in pollution NIMBY conflicts and deepen the understanding of multiple interest conflicts and their resolution. Finally, this study proposes to build information sharing mechanism, information communication mechanism, trust mechanism, network governance mechanism, and public participation mechanism, so as to resolve the construction risk of pollution NIMBY facilities and improve the overall social welfare level.

Activity test and regeneration of NiMo/active natural zeolite catalyst for hydrocracking of waste plastic fraction of polyprophylene (PP) type have been carried out. The catalysts was prepared by loading Mo followed by Ni Metals onto the natural zeolite (Z) sample, then calcined at 500oC, oxidized and reduced at 400oC under nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen stream, respectively. The characterization of catalysts including spesific surface area, average pore radius, and total pore volume were performed by gas sorption analyzer, amount of total acid sites was determined by gas sorption method, and acid site strength was confirmed by IR spectroscopy. The hydrocracking process was carried out in a semi-flow reactor system at 360 oC and catalyst:feed ratio 0.5 under hydrogen stream (150 mL/hour). The feed was vaporized from the pyrolisis reactor into the hydrocracking reactor. A liquid product was collected and analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS). The characterization results showed that spesific surface area, average pore radius, and total pore volume of the Z sample decreased after loading of the Ni and Mo metals. Amount of total acid sites of the NiMo/Z catalyst was higher than that of the Z sample. The activity of NiMo/Z catalyst decreased after several continously runs. Its regeneration produced the NiMo/Z reg catalyst with similar activity and selectivity to the fresh catalyst (NiMo/Z). The activity of catalysts at the optimum condition followed the order of NiMo/Z reg>NiMo/Z>Z (conversion of hydrocarbon C>12) and NiMo/Z reg>NiMo/Z>Z (total yield of gasoline fraction). The selectivity of catalysts for C7-C8 product followed the order of Z>NiMo/Z>NiMo/Z reg. Keywords: activity, polyprophylene, catalyst, gasoline fraction.

Resumen
Policy scholars dedicated to efficient urban and industrial planning have long tried to understand the “NIMBY syndrome” in order to overcome local resistance to controversial land uses. However, environmental policy scholars have begun to rethink the NIMBY syndrome, arguing that the concept is authority‐centered and reduces land‐use disputes to a moral struggle between rational/civic‐minded planners and irrational/self‐interested opponents. After describing a struggle over locating homeless services in Seattle, this paper extends this larger critique to disputes over human service facilities and argues that the NIMBY syndrome framework fails to capture the political and ethical complexities of locating human services. A conclusion examines how critical sociologists can still critique imbalances of political–economic power in the planning process without deploying the NIMBY syndrome nomenclature.

NiMo catalysts supported on mesoporous MCM-41 type materials shaped with binder were tested for activity in the hydrodesulfurization of 4,6-dimethyldibenzothiophene (4,6-DMDBT) and the diesel fuel fraction (0.92 wt% of sulfur). The aim of the investigation was to evaluate the effect of ion exchange with protons of Al- or Ti-substituted MCM-41 mesoporous supports. The subjected catalytic systems were NiMo/HAlMCM-41 and NiMo/HTiMCM-41, and for comparison purposes NiMo/AlMCM-41 and NiMo/TiMCM-41. The samples were characterized by N2 sorption (at 77 K), XRD, TEM, XPS, SEM and Py–IR. It was found that the functionalization of AlMCM-41 and TiMCM-41 with protons increased the conversion of 4,6-DMDBT and the pseudo-first-order rate constant. Correspondingly, 4,6-DMDBT HDS reactions over the NiMo/HTiMCM-41 catalyst proceeded to a similar extent via hydrogenation and direct desulfurization, whereas over the NiMo/HAlMCM-41 they proceeded mainly via direct desulfurization. Furthermore, the ion-exchanged catalysts displayed two-fold higher efficiency in direct desulfurization than their non-modified counterparts. The NiMo/HTiMCM-41 catalyst exhibited the highest catalytic efficiency in the HDS of 4,6-DMDBT and the diesel oil fraction. The high activity of the NiMo/HTiMCM-41 catalyst is mainly attributed to its appropriate acidity, as well as the metal–support interaction providing both the high dispersion of the active phase and the desirable multilayered stacking morphology of the active phase slabs.

Identifying the path and effectiveness of governance tools is the key to environmental NIMBY (not in my back yard) event governance. However, there are limited studies on the path between effective governance tools and environmental NIMBY events. Based on the theory of emotional catharsis, we establish an analytical framework for the evolution of the environmental NIMBY event and analyze the effectiveness of the current main governance tools. The results show that government solicitation of opinions (GSOs) governance tools are insignificant in the governance of resistance behavior. The effects of public demand communication (PDC) governance tools and compensation negotiation (CN)governance tools on resistance behaviors all show a significant negative correlation; negative emotions play an intermediary role in their governance tools. The overall performance is that the greater the compensation, the lower the willingness to engage in resistance behavior. The establishment of a reasonable compensation system can effectively reduce the public’s willingness to engage in resistance behavior. Through the evaluation of the effectiveness of governance tools in environmental NIMBY events, this study helps to improve governance tools and has important practical significance for solving the environmental NIMBY dilemma.

In this study, 3D-structured NiMo coatings have been constructed via the widely used electrodeposition method on a Ti surface and decorated with very small Au crystallites by galvanic displacement (Au(NiMo)/Ti). The catalysts have been characterized using scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray analysis, and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy. Different Au(NiMo)/Ti catalysts, which had Au loadings of 1.8, 2.3, and 3.9 µgAu cm−2, were prepared. The electrocatalytic activity of the Au(NiMo)/Ti catalysts was examined with respect to the oxidation of glucose in alkaline media by cyclic voltammetry. It was found that the Au(NiMo)/Ti catalysts with Au loadings in the range of 1.8 up to 3.9 µgAu cm−2 had a higher activity compared to that of NiMo/Ti. A direct glucose-hydrogen peroxide (C6H12O6-H2O2) single fuel cell was constructed with the different Au-loading-containing Au(NiMo)/Ti catalysts as the anode and Pt as the cathode. The fuel cells exhibited an open circuit voltage of ca. 1.0 V and peak power densities up to 8.75 mW cm−2 at 25 °C. The highest specific peak power densities of 2.24 mW µgAu−1 at 25 °C were attained using the Au(NiMo)/Ti catalyst with the Au loading of 3.9 µg cm−2 as the anode.

This work studied the catalytic activity and stability of Ni-MoS2 supported on γ-Al2O3, SiO2, and TiO2 toward deoxygenation of different feedstocks, i.e., crude Pongamia pinnata oil (PPO) and refined palm olein (RPO). PPO was used as a renewable feedstock for bio-hydrogenated diesel production via catalytic hydrotreating under a temperature of 330 °C, H2 pressure of 50 bar, WHSV of 1.5 h−1, and H2/oil (v/v) of 1000 cm3/cm3 under continuous operation. The oil yield from a Soxhlet extraction of PPO was up to 26 wt.% on a dry basis, mainly consisting of C18 fatty acids. The catalytic activity in terms of conversion and diesel yield was in the same trend as increasing in the order of NiMo/γ-Al2O3 > NiMo/TiO2 > NiMo/SiO2. The hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) activity was more favorable over the sulfided NiMo supported on γ-Al2O3 and TiO2, while a high DCO was observed over the sulfided NiMo/SiO2 catalyst, which related to the properties of the support material and the intensity of metal–support interaction. The deactivation of NiMo/SiO2 and NiMo/TiO2 occurred in a short period, due to the phosphorus and alkali impurities in PPO which were not found in the case of RPO. NiMo/γ-Al2O3 exhibited the high resistance of impure feedstock with excellent stability. This indicates that the catalytic performance is influenced by the purity of the feedstock as well as the characteristics of the catalysts.

NiMoS and CoMoS catalysts were synthesized and applied to hydrotreating (HDT) of FCC light cycle oils (FCC-LCO) in an autoclave batch reactor at 613 K and 8.6 MPa H2. The S and N compounds in LCO were classified into four and three groups, respectively, in terms of the HDT reactivity. The individual and the competitive reactivities of the S and N compounds in the HDS and the HDN were investigated over the conventional CoMoS and NiMoS catalysts using S and N model compounds (dibenzothiophene, DBT, and carbazole, CBZ). In the HDS of DBT, both the direct desulfurization (DDS) and pre-hydrogenation pathway (HYD) were found to proceed, whereas the HYD pathway was favored for the HDN of CBZ. As a result, the NiMoS catalyst that facilitates the HYD pathway showed better activity in the HDN of LCO than the CoMoS (k = 10.20 × 10−2 vs. 1.80 × 10−2 h−1). Indeed, the HDS of LCO over the NiMoS was more favorable than that over the CoMoS catalyst (k = 4.3 × 10−1 vs. 3.6 × 10−1 h−1).
