Resumen
The family Nannosquillidae contains thirteen genera, one of which is Nannosquilla, composed of twenty-five species. The genus is distributed on both sides of the American continent, but contains no amphi-American species, and only one species in Indonesia. During surveys conducted in the Potiguar Basin, Rio Grande do Norte state/BR, a new species, Nannosquilla potiguara, was found. The new species is similar to N. schmitti, sharing the characters of seven intermediary fixed teeth in the posterior margin of telson on both side of the submedians movable tooth, and the inner spine on the uropodal

This paper reports the occurrence of four deep waters shrimps of the family Solenoceridae in the southwestern Atlantic, Brazil. The rare Hadropenaeus modestus is collected for the second time from Brazilian waters after 138 years, filling the gaps on its distributional pattern. Mesopenaeus tropicalis is a new register for Potiguar basin, although it is common along Brazilian coast. Hymenopenaeus chacei and H. laevis are recorded for the first time in southwestern Atlantic. The records of these species in the southwestern Atlantic are an important advancement to raise the knowledge of the deep-

Abstract. The depth-dependent anisotropic structure of the lithosphere under the Borborema Province in northeast Brazil has been investigated via harmonic stripping of receiver functions developed at 39 stations in the region. This method retrieves the first (k=1) and second (k=2) degree harmonics of a receiver function dataset, which characterize seismic anisotropy beneath a seismic station. Anisotropic fabrics are in turn directly related to the deformation of the lithosphere from past and current tectonic processes. Our results reveal the presence of anisotropy within the crust and the lith

ABSTRACT. Gravity inversion results aiming to estimate the crystalline basement relief of the onshore Potiguar Basin are presented. It is assumed that the density contrast between the sediments and the crystalline basement is constant and known. The sediments are approximated with vertical rectangular prisms whose thicknesses, representing the depths to crystalline basement, are the parameters to be estimated from the gravity inversion. In all cases, the inversion process was stabilized with smoothness constraint on the spatial variation of the basement relief. Besides the gravity data, we use

The 3D common-reflection-surface (CRS) stack operator depends on eight kinematic wavefield attributes that must be extracted from the prestack data. These attributes are obtained by an efficient optimization strategy based on the maximization of the coherence measure of the seismic reflection events included by the CRS stacking operator. The main application of these kinematic attributes is to simulate zero-offset stacked data; however, they can also be used for regularization of the prestack data, prestack migration, and velocity model determination.
