The stability and fraglmentation of C60r+ in three excitation energy regimes have been studied in this work. Stable C60r+ produced via charge exchange mechanism in collisions of 56 keV Ar8+-C60 were stored in a compact electrostatic Cone Trap developed at University Lyon 1. The experimental results show that the lifetime limit of C60r+ (r = 2~5) is very large, larger than 400 ms. Decay of C60r+ at low internal energy in a time range of 20 [mu]s by evaporation of a C2 unit was also studied. The population of high-spin isomeric states in neutron-deficient N≈126 nuclei has been studied in order to further understand the reaction mechanism of projectile fragmentation. The gas-phase chemistry of butanal, propanal, and acetaldehyde has been investigated using electron bombardment matrix isolation techniques. Each aldehyde was diluted in excess argon gas and subjected to electron bombardment with 300eV electrons. The products of subsequent reaction processes were matrix isolated and analyzed by FTIR absorption spectroscopy. The diploma thesis focuses on analysis of fatty alcohols with mass spectrometry. Theoretical part describes distribution, main properties, usage and analytical methods for analysis of fatty alcohols. Experimental work focuses on the search for a proper derivatisation procedure for fatty alcohols, which would enable their detection with soft ionisation techniques of mass spectrometry, as well as their structural analysis.
