Suspended sediment exports from the Richmond River catchment were examined during 2 hydrological years (1994–96). On a yearly basis, the Richmond River catchment produced <2% suspended sediment load during dry seasons, whereas about 75–91% of the yearly suspended sediments were exported during floods which occurred <5% of the year. Annual suspended sediment exports from the Richmond River catchment varied more than 7-fold from dry year to wet year. Among the 3 major subcatchments, Richmond and Wilsons River subcatchments generated >93% of the suspended sediment load, while sediment ex

Resumen
Abstract Background 4CMenB has been shown to be immunogenic with an acceptable safety profile in infants and young adolescents. However, no data on long-term persistence after primary vaccination in adolescents are available. This is the first study to assess antibody persistence, booster response, and safety of 4CMenB in adolescents and young adults up to 7.5 years following the primary vaccination in adolescence. Methods This phase 3b, open-label, extension study (NCT02446743) assessed the antibody persistence and booster response at 4 years (Canada and Australia, NCT01423084) or 7.5 years (

The phylogeny of the Chrysomeloidea is re-assessed, with data from recently described larvae of three chrysomeloid taxa. Cladistic analyses were performed on 19 subfamilies and tribes with 56 informative characters. The tribe Megascelidini is shown to be correctly placed in Eumolpinae and the subfamily Aulacoscelidinae in Orsodacnidae, but Spilopyra and associated genera are the probable monophyletic sister-taxon of (Eumolpinae + (Lamprosomatinae + Cryptocephalinae)) and are therefore elevated to subfamily: Spilopyrinae Chapuis (= Stenomelini Chapuis, syn. nov. = Hornibiinae Crowson, syn. nov.

Background Sedation and analgesia scales promote a less-distressing experience in the intensive care unit and minimize complications for patients receiving mechanical ventilation. Objectives To evaluate outcomes before and after introduction of scales for sedation and analgesia in a general intensive care unit. Method A before-and-after design was used to evaluate introduction of the Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale and the Behavioral Pain Scale for patients receiving mechanical ventilation. Data were collected for 6 months before and 6 months after training in and introduction of the scales.

Resumen
Motivated by the Millennium Drought and the current drought over much of southern and eastern Australia, this detailed statistical study compares trends in annual wet season precipitation and temperature between a coastal site (Newcastle) and an inland site (Scone). Bootstrap permutation tests reveal Scone precipitation has decreased significantly over the past 40 years (p-value=0.070) whereas Newcastle has recorded little to no change (p-value=0.800). Mean maximum and minimum temperatures for Newcastle have increased over the past 40 years (p-values of 0.002 and 0.015, respectively) while the
