Sabun transparan dapat dibuat dari minyak nabati dengan basa alkali melalui reaksi saponifikasi dengan penambahan transparent agent. Perbedaan karakter bahan dari minyak kelapa (Cocos nucifera) dan minyak ayam (Gallus domesticus) berpotensi menghasilkan sabun transparan yang unik.
