Resumen
This study deals mainly with the mix proportions using granite and unwashed gravel as coarse aggregate for self-compacting concrete (SCC) and its workability, by considering the water absorption of unwashed gravel aggregate. Mix proportions for SCC were designed with constant cement and fine aggregate while coarse aggregates content of granite-unwashed gravel combination were varied in the proportion 100%, 90%/10%, 80%/20%, 70%/30%, 60%/40%, 50% /50%, represented by SCC1, SCC2, SCC3, SCC4, SCC5 and SCC6. 100% granite (SCC1) serves as the control. The workability of the samples was quantitatively evaluated by slump flow, T500, L-box, V- funnel and sieve segregation tests. Based on the experimental results, a detailed analysis was conducted. It was found that granite and unwashed gravel with SCC1, SCC2 and SCC3 according to EFNARC (2002) standard have good deformability, fluidity and filling ability, which all passed consistency test. SCC1, SCC2 and SCC3 have good passing ability while all mixes were in the limit prescribed by EFNARC (2002). It can be concluded that the mix design for varying granite-unwashed gravel combination for SCC presented in this study satisfy various requirements for workability hence, this can be adopted for practical concrete structures.

Resumen
Abstract: Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) is a concrete form developed in Japan. Because of its novelty, this form of concrete differs from traditional concrete. Compaction is required for conventional concrete, but not for SCC which is utilized in substantially reinforced constructions where it is challenging to compact concrete. Industrial wastes such as Fly Ash (FA) and Cement Kiln Dust (CKD) [which contaminate the environment] are used as partial replacements for cement, and, Granite Powder (GP) and Eco Sand (EC) are used as partial replacements for M-sand. The optimum mix proportions of casted beams obtained by Taguchi method are SCC1 (FA30%), SCC2 (FA25%+CKD5%), SCC3 (FA30%+GP20%), SCC4 (FA25%+CKD5%+GP20%), SCC5 (FA30%+EC10%), and SCC6 (FA25%+CKD5%+EC10%). For each composition, the flexural behavior of SCC beams is experimentally investigated. Experimental work is verified by FEM analysis using the ABAQUS software. When the outcomes from the experimental and numerical analysis are compared, it is evident that SCC6 outperformed other mixes in terms of flexure

Resumen
The ring-shaped cohesin complex topologically entraps chromosomes and regulates chromosome segregation, transcription, and DNA repair. The cohesin core consists of the structural maintenance of chromosomes 1 and 3 (Smc1–Smc3) heterodimeric ATPase, the kleisin subunit sister chromatid cohesion 1 (Scc1) that links the two ATPase heads, and the Scc1-bound adaptor protein Scc3. The sister chromatid cohesion 2 and 4 (Scc2–Scc4) complex loads cohesin onto chromosomes. Mutations of cohesin and its regulators, including Scc2, cause human developmental diseases termed cohesinopathy. Here, we report the crystal structure of Chaetomium thermophilum (Ct) Scc2 and examine its interaction with cohesin. Similar to Scc3 and another Scc1-interacting cohesin regulator, precocious dissociation of sisters 5 (Pds5), Scc2 consists mostly of helical repeats that fold into a hook-shaped structure. Scc2 binds to Scc1 through an N-terminal region of Scc1 that overlaps with its Pds5-binding region. Many cohesinopathy mutations target conserved residues in Scc2 and diminish Ct Scc2 binding to Ct Scc1. Pds5 binding to Scc1 weakens the Scc2–Scc1 interaction. Our study defines a functionally important interaction between the kleisin subunit of cohesin and the hook of Scc2. Through competing with Scc2 for Scc1 binding, Pds5 might contribute to the release of Scc2 from loaded cohesin, freeing Scc2 for additional rounds of loading.

Resumen
The study of the effects of cooling conditions on mechanical properties and wear performance by coating AISI S45C steel with Chrome Nickel Amorphous wire arc spray showed that the average surface hardness of specimens under different cooling conditions such as SCCW, SCCO, SCCS and SCCNT was 601.6 HV, while the surface hardness of HAZ of SCCS and SCCW specimens decreased to 80-90 HV. The tensile test revealed that the average ultimate tensile strength of coated specimens was 706 MPa which was slightly higher than that of uncoated specimens. This result is consistent with Tukey’s one-way ANOVA method, which found a significant difference in tensile strength values at 0.05 and 0.01 levels. For wear resistance, coated specimens showed higher wear resistance compared to uncoated specimens. Overall, the results of this study showed that wire arc spray coating could increase the strength and stress and decrease %elongation of the specimens. Therefore, this technique is suitable for maintenance work to increase the strength of steel in the industry.

Resumen
Small cell carcinoma of the ovary (SCCO) is a rare type of ovarian cancer with high aggressiveness. The optimal treatment modality remains elusive. This study aims to comprehensively investigate the survival impact of clinical characteristics and treatments including lymphadenectomy in SCCO. A retrospective cohort study was performed and included patients from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. Data collected included demographics, therapeutic details, and pathologic characteristics. Propensity-score matching analysis (PSM) was carried out to balance baseline variables between SCCO and non-SCCO. Cox regression, Kaplan–Meier, and stratified analyses were conducted before and after PSM. After filtering, 80 records on SCCO and 39,662 records on non-SSCO were obtained. Patients with SCCO were more prone to present unilateral tumor (57.6% and 85.0%, p < 0.001), larger tumor size (>15 cm: 9.5% and 32.5%; 10–15 cm: 13.2% vs. 22.5%, p < 0.001), younger age (59.1 ± 14.91 vs. 37.2 ± 19.05; p < 0.001), single status (17.0% vs. 45.0%; p < 0.001), single malignant tumor in a lifetime (76.1% vs. 87.5%; p = 0.0244), and pathologic grade IV diseases (14.5% vs. 40.0%; p < 0.001) compared with non-SCCO. After balancing the baseline clinical characteristics with a 1:4 ratio PSM, a total of matched 72 patients with SCCO and 254 patients with non-SCCO were identified. The survival rate of SCCO was distinctly inferior to non-SCCO, particularly in FIGO I, II, and III stages. Lymphadenectomy was performed in 37 (51.39%) SCCO patients, of whom 12 (32.43%) were found to have pathologically positive lymph nodes. Lymphadenectomy was linked to favorable overall survival in SCCO, particularly in the advanced stage, and was also an independent prognostic factor, whereas lymphadenectomy did not reveal an edge in matched non-SCCO. There was a pronounced survival benefit for SCCO when at least 10 or more nodes were resected. Lymphadenectomy in a non-stage-dependent way should be considered and deserves further clinical validation to promote the overall survival in SCCO.

Resumen
The anthracnose of chilli caused by Colletotrichum capsici is a widespread problem limiting the profitable cultivation and seed production of chilli throughout the major chilli growing regions of India. Four isolates (SCC1, SCC2, SCC3 and SCC4) of C. capsici were collected from different chilli growing areas of West Bengal. An experiment on efficacy of four botanical oils viz., Garlic (Allium sativum), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Polyalthia (Polyalthia longifolia) and Citronella(Cymbopogon nardus) at concentrations of 0.05%, 0.1% and 0.2% and two isolates each of three biocontrol agents (Trichoderma harzianum, T. viride and Pseudomonas flourescens) were carried out against these isolates of C. capsici in vitro. The result revealed significant (5% level of significance) antifungal activities of these botanicals and biocontrol agents. Garlic gave cent per cent inhibition of mycelial growth of all the four isolates of C. capsici at all the concentrations tested. However, neem showed cent percent inhibition of mycelial growth of C. capsici at 0.1%. Citronella was least effective among the botanical oils. Among the biocontrol agents tested T. harzianum isolate Th-2 was found most effective giving 77.78%, 100%, 83.33 % and 88.89% inhibition on the mycelial growth of SCC1, SCC2, SCC3 and SCC4 respectively followed by T. harzianum isolate Th-1 inhibiting 74.00%, 78.9% 81.7% and 80.90% of the mycelial growth of SCC1, SCC2, SCC3 and SCC4 respectively. P. fluorescens was least effective. Thus, garlic, neem, polyalthia, T. harzianumand T. viride can be utilized for management of anthracnose of chilli.

Resumen
Supercritical CO 2 ( ScCO 2) can dissolve organic materials easily just by changing temperature and pressure. This property of ScCO 2 can be applied to extract some ScCO 2-philic organic molecules from matrix material. The ScCO 2 was used to generate the meso/macro double porous structure of polyimide/polysilsesquioxane (PI/PSSQ) hybrid film. The morphology of the porous structure was measured by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Here, we demonstrate that the ScCO 2 could penetrate into the hybrid thin film and take away the small molecules, which are the by-product ( CO 2) from the imidization reaction of the PI segment and the solvent remained in the PSSQ segment by sol-gel process.

Resumen
The deposition of Ni nanoparticles into porous supports is very important in catalysis. In this paper, we explore the use of supercritical CO 2 (scCO 2 ) as a green solvent to deposit Ni nanoparticles on mesoporous SiO 2 SBA-15 and a carbon xerogel. The good transport properties of scCO 2 allowed the efficient penetration of metal precursors dissolved in scCO 2 within the pores of the support without damaging its structure. Nickel hexafluoroacetylacetonate hydrate, nickel acetylacetonate, bis(cyclopentadienyl)nickel, Ni(NO 3 ) 2 ⋅6H 2 O and NiCl 2 ⋅6H 2 O were tried as precursors. Different methodologies were used: impregnation in scCO 2 and reduction in H 2 /N 2 at 400°C and low pressure, reactive deposition using H 2 at 200–250°C in scCO 2 and reactive deposition using ethanol at 150–200°C in scCO 2 . The effect of precursor and methodology on the nickel particle size and the material homogeneity (on the different substrates) was analysed. This technology offers many opportunities in the preparation of metal-nanostructured materials.

Resumen
A smart meta-superconductor Bi(Pb)SrCaCuO (B(P)SCCO) may increase the critical transition temperature (TC) of B(P)SCCO by electroluminescence (EL) energy injection of inhomogeneous phases. However, the increase amplitude ΔTC (ΔTC=TC−TC,pure) of TC is relatively small. In this study, a smart meta-superconductor B(P)SCCO with different matrix sizes was designed. Three kinds of raw materials with different particle sizes were used, and different series of Y2O3:Sm3+, Y2O3, Y2O3:Eu3+, and Y2O3:Eu3++Ag-doped samples and pure B(P)SCCO were prepared. Results indicated that the TC of the Y2O3 or Y2O3:Sm3+ non-luminescent dopant doping sample is lower than that of pure B(P)SCCO. However, the TC of the Y2O3:Eu3++Ag or Y2O3:Eu3+ luminescent inhomogeneous phase doping sample is higher than that of pure B(P)SCCO. With the decrease of the raw material particle size from 30 to 5 μm, the particle size of the B(P)SCCO superconducting matrix in the prepared samples decreases, and the doping content of the Y2O3:Eu3++Ag or Y2O3:Eu3+ increases from 0.2% to 0.4%. Meanwhile, the increase of the inhomogeneous phase content enhances the ΔTC. When the particle size of raw material is 5 μm, the doping concentration of the luminescent inhomogeneous phase can be increased to 0.4%. At this time, the zero-resistance temperature and onset transition temperature of the Y2O3:Eu3++Ag doped sample are 4 and 6.3 K higher than those of pure B(P)SCCO, respectively.

Resumen
Spin-polarized density functional calculations are performed to study the correlation and spin-orbit coupling (SOC) effects in scandium intermetallic compounds viz. ScTM (TM[Formula: see text]=[Formula: see text]Co, Rh, Ir, Ni, Pd, Pt, Cu, Ag and Au) using FP-LAPW[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]lo method. The LDA, LDA[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]U and LDA[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]U[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]SOC exchange-correlation functionals are used to calculate the structural parameters and we found that the LDA[Formula: see text]+[Formula: see text]U results are consistent with the experiments. The electronic properties reveal that these compounds are metallic in nature. Correlations effects are determined using the U/W ratio and we found that ScCo, ScIr, ScPd, ScPt, ScCu and ScAg are highly correlated compounds, whereas ScRh, ScNi and ScAu are intermediately correlated compounds. Furthermore, stable magnetic phase for each compound is optimized, which reveals that ScCo, ScRh, ScPd, ScPt and ScCu are stable in ferromagnetic phase, ScIr, ScNi and ScAu are anti-ferromagnetic, whereas ScAg is a nonmagnetic material.

Resumen
Superconducting materials exhibit unique physical properties and have great scientific value and vast industrial application prospects. However, due to limitations, such as the critical temperature (TC) and critical current density (JC), the large-scale application of superconducting materials remains challenging. Chemical doping has been a commonly used method to enhance the superconductivity of B(P)SCCO. However, satisfactory enhancement results have been difficult to achieve. In this study, we introduce green-light GaN p-n junction particles as inhomogeneous phases into B(P)SCCO polycrystalline particles to form a smart meta-superconductor (SMSC) structure. Based on the electroluminescence properties of the p-n junction, the Cooper pairs were stimulated and strengthened to enhance the superconductivity of B(P)SCCO. The experimental results demonstrate that the introduction of inhomogeneous phases can indeed enhance the critical temperature TC, critical current density JC, and complete diamagnetism (Meissner effect) of B(P)SCCO superconductors. Moreover, when the particle size of the raw material of B(P)SCCO is reduced from 30 to 5 μm, the grain size of the sintered samples also decreases, and the optimal doping concentration of the inhomogeneous phases increases from 0.15 wt.% to 0.2 wt.%, further improving the superconductivity.

Resumen
During 2014 - 2018, cable companies in Indonesia showed an 8.52% average annual revenue growth. Unfortunately, analysts are responding to this growth negatively. Hence, In this study, we will conduct a valuation of six cable companies in Indonesia that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). We evaluate using two methods, namely Free Cash Flow to Firm (FCFF) to get the Intrinsic Value of shares, Relative Valuation using Price to Book Value ( PBV), and Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) to validate the intrinsic value. The valuation results consider three scenarios: optimistic, moderate, and pessimistic. In the optimistic scenario, the Intrinsic Value of JECC, KBLI, and VOKS shares are overvalued in all scenarios, while IKBI, KBLM, and SCCO are undervalued throughout the scenario. Validation using PBV for the optimistic scenario, all companies are considered overvalued. For the moderate scenario, the PBV of IKBI, KBLI, and VOKS are overvalued, while JECC, KBLM, and SCCO are undervalued. As for the pessimistic scenario, only the PBV of IKBI is overvalued. Validation using PER for the optimistic scenario, the PER of IKBI, JECC, KBLM, and SCCO are overvalued, while the PER of KBLI and VOKS are undervalued. For the moderate scenarios, the PER of IKBI and SCCO are overvalued, while the PER of JECC, KBLI, KBLM, and VOKS are undervalued. Whereas for the pessimistic scenario, only the PER of IKBI is overvalued, while JECC, KBLI, KBLM, SCCO, and VOKS are undervalued.

Multiagent chemotherapy for small cell carcinoma of the ovary (SCCO) may contribute to the prolonged survival of young women who are suffering from this disease, even in the advanced stage with remaining tumor, although the rarity of SCCO complicates the generalization of chemotherapy agents and operation methods for this disease. A 24-year-old patient with SCCO FIGO stage IIC is alive after recurrences and chemotherapy including cisplatin + etoposide after the first operation and docetaxel for the second recurrence. She is now doing well with no evidence of disease more than 4 years after the first operation and 2 years after docetaxel treatment. This may be the first report describing the use of docetaxel that may be included in multiagent chemotherapy.

Resumen
The integrated use of supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2 ) and micro- and nanotechnologies has enabled new sustainable strategies for the manufacturing of new medications. ‘Green’ scCO 2 -based methodologies are well suited to improve either the synthesis or materials processing leading to the assembly of three-dimensional multifunctional constructs. By using scCO 2 either as C1 feedstock or as solvent, simple, economic, efficient and clean routes can be designed to synthesize materials with unique properties such as polyurea dendrimers and oxazoline-based polymers/oligomers. These new biocompatible, biodegradable and water-soluble polymeric materials can be engineered into multifunctional constructs with antimicrobial activity, targeting moieties, labelling units and/or efficiently loaded with therapeutics. This mini-review highlights the particular features exhibited by these materials resulting directly from the followed supercritical routes.

Resumen
We studied electrochemical alkaline systems whose Zn electrodes (anodes) contain active mass produced from composites of ZnO and B(Pb)SCCO 2212 conductive cuprate ceramics. The ceramics was added at concentrations of 5, 7 or 10 wt.%. The resulting material was structurally characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Electrochemical cells assembled with anode prepared using active mass made by employing such composites, were examined by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The effect from the concentration of B(Pb)SCCO 2212 ceramics on the impedimetric response and tangent loss spectra of the electrochemical cells was studied. The results show that compared to 7 wt.% and 10 wt.% concentration of B(Pb)SCCO 2212 conductive ceramics added to the Zn material of the anode, the concentration of 5 wt.% leads to lower electric losses in the assembled electrochemical cells.

Resumen
We present a novel near-ambient-temperature approach to telechelic renewable polyesters by exploiting the unique properties of supercritical CO 2 (scCO 2 ). Bio-based commercially available monomers have been polymerized and functional telechelic materials with targeted molecular weight prepared by end-capping the chains with molecules containing reactive moieties in a one-pot reaction. The use of scCO 2 as a reaction medium facilitates the effective use of Candida antarctica Lipase B (CaLB) as a catalyst at a temperature as low as 35°C, hence avoiding side reactions, maintaining the end-capper functionality and preserving the enzyme activity. The functionalized polymer products have been characterized by 1 H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization–time-of-flight mass spectrometry, gel permeation chromatography and differential scanning calorimetry in order to carefully assess their structural and thermal properties. We demonstrate that telechelic materials can be produced enzymatically at mild temperatures, in a solvent-free system and using renewably sourced monomers without pre-modification, by exploiting the unique properties of scCO 2 . The macromolecules we prepare are ideal green precursors that can be further reacted to prepare useful bio-derived films and coatings.

Resumen
Mastitis is a major health problem of the udder in dairy sheep breeds. For diagnosis of subclinical mastitis, somatic cell count (SCC) is commonly used. The presence of pathogens in the udder causes the increase of leukocytes and thus SCC in milk. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the presence of pathogens in the milk of ewes and the possible relationship with SCC. The changes of leukocytes subpopulation in milk samples with high SCC were evaluated as well. The experiment was carried out on a dairy farm with the Lacaune breed. This study was conducted on 45 ewes (98 milk samples) without signs of clinical mastitis. Based on somatic cell count, samples were divided to five SCC groups: SCC1 < 200 000 cells/ml (45 milk samples); 200 000 ≤ SCC2 < 400 000 cells/ml (10 milk samples); 400 000 ≤ SCC3 < 600 000 cells/ml (six milk samples); 600 000 ≤ SCC4 < 1 000 000 cells/ml (six milk samples); SCC5 ≥ 1 000 000 cells/ml (31 milk samples). No pathogens were observed in the majority of milk samples (60.20%). Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CNS) were the most commonly isolated pathogens from the milk of ewes (86.11%). Staphylococcus epidermidis had the highest incidence from CNS (35.48%). In the SCC5 group, up to 79.31% of bacteriological samples were positive. The percentage of leukocytes significantly increased (P < 0.001) in the samples with higher SCC (≥ 200 × 103 cells/ml) in comparison to the group SCC1. Also, the percentage of polymorphonuclear cells (PMNs) was significantly higher with increasing SCC (P < 0.001). In conclusion, the presented results showed that the high SCC was caused by the presence of the pathogen in milk. Thus SCC < 200 000 cells/ml and leukocyte subpopulation, especially PMNs, could be considered as important tools in udder health programs applied in dairy ewes.
