Art Style | Art & Culture International Magazine Abstract Traditionally, art works have been created for human beings. In this milieu, an interdisciplinary project titled “Art × Science in Kyoto City Zoo: Sensing the Feelings of a Chimpanzee Through Art” (first period, 2018–2019; second period, 2019–2020; and third period, 2020–2022), is one of the challenging projects that presupposes a nonhuman audience. Only one species of trematode — Allocreadium transversale is more specific parasite of weatherfish. Second largest group are Monogenea, with 10 species. Resumen
Abstract In subsurface rocks, the brine can act as a carrier where non-hydrocarbon components, either natively present or introduced externally, are transported and possibly react with each other as well as with the porous medium. The proposed paper describes the integration of PHREEQC, a leading open-source software for 0D/1D geochemical modeling, with a commercial GPU-based reservoir simulator. This will provide the reservoir engineering community with a user-friendly tool incorporating reactive transport into reservoir studies. PHREEQC is widely used for batch geochemical modeling, thanks t

Tracking individuals is a vital part of many experiments conducted to understand collective behaviour. Ants are the paradigmatic model system for such experiments but their lack of individually distinguishing visual features and their high colony densities make it extremely difficult to perform reliable racking automatically. Additionally, the wide diversity of their species' appearances makes a generalized approach even harder. In this paper, we propose a data-driven multi-object tracker that, for the first time, employs domain adaptation to achieve the required generalisation. This approach

Sacred groves are patches of natural vegetation preserved through local taboos and sanctions that entail spiritual and ecological values. Sacred Groves play a vital role in preserving the ecological balance and biodiversity. They offer crucial ecosystem services like carbon sequestration, soil conservation, and habitat preservation. Preserving them is key to mitigating the impacts of climate change and maintaining ecosystem resilience. This study involved the design and development of technology tools such as a mobile app for field data collection and a Web-based analytical Dashboard. A detail

The long-term motivation for this research is to transfer useful traits from a broad based gene pool of wild species into the narrow base of a cultivated crop in Cucumis. Our primary focus was to use polyploid prior to fertilization as a tool to overcome fertility barriers in the cross between C. melo and C. metuliferus. In conducting this research, we explored all combinations of tetraploid and diploid parents, in reciprocal combinations. Pollinations were made in both the field and greenhouse, using emasculated flowers, moneocious females, and open pollination by insect vectors, with morphol

Dark-induced senescence could pose a major problem in export of various crops including cuttings. The assumption of this work was that ROS which is increased at a specific organelle can serve as a signal for activation of cell senescence program. Hormones which reduce senescence in several crops like gibberellic acid (GA) and possibly cytokinin (CK) may reduce senescence by inhibiting this signal. In this study we worked on Pelargonium cuttings as well as Arabidopsis rosette. In Pelargonium the increase in ROS occurred concomitantly with increase in two SAGs, and the increase persisted in isol
