Microsoft SharePoint 2013 är en plattform som är väldigt populär för utveckling av intranät. Möjligheterna för kommunikation inom en organisation bidrar till större och bättre informationsflöde inom organisationen samt leder till effektivare arbete inom organisationen. Microsoft Sharepoint 2013 är alltså ett intranät som blir ett centrum att vistas på samt där man träffar sina kollegor för att dela information och mycket mer. Detta examensarbete utgår från Microsofts välkända intranät Sharepoint 2013. Målet med examensarbetet har varit att skapa ett ärendehanteringssystem utifrån företaget Precio Systemutveckling AB:s beställning samt kravspecifikation . Utvecklingen har baserats på ”The great new app model” som under början på detta år (2013) introducerades utav Microsoft i den senaste versionen av Sharepoint: Sharepoint 2013. Det finns flera olika utvecklingsmetoder för att utveckla i appmodellen. Efter en utförd förstudie valdes ”Provider hosted app”, vilket innebär att ärendehanteringssystemet skall utvecklas samt köras på en server som företaget ansvarar över. Då appmodellen är relativt ny så har det under projektets gång uppstått utmaningar som varit riktigt kluriga att lösa på grund av att man inte lyckats finna relevanta källor med förklaring på de olika problem som uppstod. Utmaningarna har ändå lösts med hjälp av den information som idag finns samt med stöd ifrån seniora Sharepoint utvecklare. Resultatet av detta projekt blev ett ärendehanteringssystem som levererats till företaget samt som eventuellt kommer att börja användas inom kort. Förstudien kring appmodellen har även lett till ökade kunskaper kring hur appar i Sharepoint fungerar samt dess styrkor och svagheter.<br>This project is about apps in Microsoft Sharepoint 2013. We are two students that will during this thesis create a task management system for the company Precio Systemutveckling AB. We will use the great new app model that is a way to develop Sharepoint apps. The result of this project is a task management system that the company can use to keep track of their tasks.

I följande arbete undersöks hur SharePoint kan användas som applikationsplattform, vad som kan göras med produkten och vad det lämpar sig för. SharePoint som applikationsplattform har visat sig kompetent och användbar för utveckling av interaktiva webbapplikationer, om än inte optimal till alla tillämpningar. This report is about intranets and SharePoint. It explains how user’s expectations can affect an implementation of an intranet and what companies want to get out of an intranet. It’s also about risks that may occur when an intranet is developed and how to avoid these problems. SharePoint is a collaborative platform and publishing system from Microsoft that assists developers in the implementation of an intranet. The report covers a project that was intended to showcase the strengths of SharePoint by developing a simple and user-friendly SharePoint prototype and provides insight into the planning, development and design of a SharePoint implementation. Tools used in the project were SharePoint Designer, CSS, HTML, jQuery, Gimp and Inkscape. The project resulted in a prototype developed in SharePoint Online 2013 for a fictitious mid-sized construction company and includes features for collaboration, information distribution and file sharing. The design consists of two menus and a color theme that includes different shades of gray. The width of the SharePoint page is locked to 1280 pixels and works with Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. The prototype also includes jQuery scripts that modify elements on the page.<br>Denna rapport handlar om intranät och om SharePoint. Den går igenom hur användares förväntningar spelar in vid implementation av ett intranät och vad företag ofta vill få ut av ett intranät. Risker som finns när ett intranät ska utvecklas och hur dessa undviks tas upp. SharePoint är en samarbetsplattform och publiceringssystem från Microsoft som underlättar utveckling av intranät. Rapporten går igenom ett projekt som hade som syfte att visa upp styrkan i SharePoint genom att ta fram en enkel och användarvänlig SharePoint-prototyp och ger en inblick i planering, utveckling och design av en SharePoint implementation. Verktyg som användes i projektet var SharePoint Designer, CSS, HTML, jQuery, Gimp och Inkscape. Resultatet blev en prototyp som utvecklades i SharePoint Online 2013 för ett fiktivt medelstort byggföretag och innehåller funktioner för samarbete, informationsspridning och fildelning. Företag arbetar ofta efter hårda krav från kunder där lösningar måste levereras på ett tidseffektivt sätt och samtidigt hålla en hög kvalitet. Detta i form av felfria och robusta system vilket delvis kan åstadkommas med hjälp av testning. Kraven på snabb leverans och hög kvalitet är däremot motpoler till varandra; snabb leverans genomförs ofta på bekostnad av kvalitet och tvärtom. Agila arbetsmetoder med tidiga och frekventa leveranser har ändrat på detta, men kräver samtidigt en ständig kvalitetsförsäkring under arbetets löptid. Under utveckling av mjukvara enligt dessa metoder förekommer därför en kontinuerlig kvalitetssäkringsprocess för att säkerställa att produkten dels uppfyller vad kravspecifikationen avser samt att levererad produkt håller en hög tekniskt kvalitet i form av buggfri och robust kod som innehar stor pålitlighet för framtiden. Då manuell testning är en kostnad- och resurskrävande metod har automatiserad testning blivit ett aktuellt alternativ för ökad effektivitet och hållbar utveckling. Målet med det här arbetet har varit att för Precio Systemutveckling AB utreda möjligheterna för en implementation av automatiserad testning av användargränssnitt, i en hos företaget redan existerande och etablerad utvecklingsprocess. Arbetet har genomförts med en inledande förstudie om testning med fokus på varför det är en extra viktig faktor i dagsläget. Detta följs av ett avsnitt där existerande teori och teknik för testning i generell mening avhandlats, följt av en närmare studie på hur automatiserad testning är rekommenderad att utföras ur ett perspektiv från utveckling av produkter inom Microsoft-teknologi.<br>Software companies work under a strict pressure from customers where solutions must be delivered in a timely manner as well as providing high quality and value. The products should be robust and without errors, which partially can be accomplished by testing during the development process. The requirement for an early delivery and a high quality does not always come hand in hand, but with the increased use of agile software development methods, this can be achieved. During agile development of software, there is a continuous process to ensure the quality of what is being developed, both to make sure that all the functional requirements are fulfilled, but also that the code behind is robust and dependable for the future. Since manual testing can be both time and resource consuming, automated testing has become a modern alternative to increase productivity and to maintain a sustainable development process. The goal of this thesis work has been to investigate the possibilities of implementing a solution for automated UI testing in an already existing development process at the company Precio Systemutveckling AB. The work has been conducted in three steps, starting with a literature study about testing in general, followed by an extensive research into suitable tools and technology for testing that exists today. After this, a deeper look was made at what the recommended solutions for implementing automated testing in a Microsoft-oriented enviroment were. The work was concluded with an actual implementation of automated testing on premise at Precio.

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att utreda och om möjligt skapa en generell grundplattform att utgå ifrån när man utvecklar ett intranät. Problemet som ofta uppstår när man kommer till en kund är att de vill veta vad allt kommer att kosta, vilket är genomgående genom processen. Varje kund har olika behov och krav på sin webbplats, vilket kräver olika mycket tid och kostnader från utvecklarna. Det är först efter förstudien som utvecklarna kan ge en ungefärlig kostnad för projektet. Som lösning har vi i examensarbetet skapat en grundplattform med två olika komponenter, för att ge ett exempel på hur plattformen kan komma att se ut. Komponenterna kan paketeras olika för varje kund och gör att kunderna redan från början kan få ett hum om vad det kan kosta med just deras konfiguration och önskemål. För att uppnå denna lösning har flera kunskaper inom SharePoint erhållits, inom särskilda områden som till exempel Masterpages, Content Types, Managed Metadata med flera. Resultatet blev bland annat ett nyhetsarkiv som kan installeras via en så kallad Feature på en Sharepoint webbplats. Detta är en bra grund för hur resterande komponenter, som kalender och dokumenthantering, kan implementeras.

Developing a Microsoft SharePoint-based site is, according to marketing, simple and efficient. Efficiency is increased by giving the developer the option to easily add functionality to the site. One way to add functionality is through so called add-ins. An add-in extends the functionality of the site by running independent code on the client, cloud or a server outside the SharePoint farm. Add-ins can be added to the site through a web-based market or by creating new ones. The general question is if creation of new add-ins is worth the effort. This discussion can begin by investigating what implementation detail is reoccurring when developing this add-ins as well as what part of the process the most time is consuming. By attempting to create add-ins and the same time documenting the progress one can make conclusion regarding said questions. The result shows that the most recurring parts of development is how to manage the incoming data. It also seems as if the most time consuming part of add-in development is the research and construction of functionality that fetch data from the SharePoint-based site. Another part of the result is technical and contains information necessary to understand how the example add-ins are created. The add- ins that is presented in this paper concern document management which is a significant aspect of Microsoft SharePoint.

The goal for this thesis work was to develop Business Intelligence (BI) for an IT consultant company. LexiConsult is an IT consultant company in the Lexicon-group which offers expertise within Office (templates, database, spreadsheets, Outlook etc.) but also SharePoint development and services like support, documentation etcetera. We have investigated the functionality in SharePoint and MS SQL Server and have also evaluated which possibilities these platforms offer in terms of creating a BI-solution for LexiConsults needs. SharePoint offers a variety of different tools and services for BI but none of these where available in the Office365-version which LexiConsult uses. Another solution was therefore suggested where the reports should be published on a web hosting company. We have also studied critical success factors when implementing BI in an IT consulting company. The result is a set of BI-reports developed for SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), which the staff of LexiConsult can access via their SharePoint site. The reports are designed for monitoring and analysis of the economy with e.g. key performance indicators, drill-down of the revenue in different aspects such as by time period, per employee, per customer etcetera. The reports provides vital knowledge that can be used for decision support, e.g. which customers and which types of projects is the most profitable and should be given priority. Have the consultants had high occupancy rate lately and what is the forecast for the future? Should more consultants be hired? Some of the reports are restricted from access by others than management of the company, and some are accessible by all employees. Data is queried from the SQL-database to the company’s system for booking and invoicing as well as their SharePoint site. This data is transformed to information which should give knowledge about the company and its finances. The result of the thesis work is of interest both within the company and as a product targeting their customers.<br>Målet med detta examensarbete var att utveckla Business Intelligence (BI) för ett IT-konsultföretag. LexiConsult är ett IT-konsultföretag i Lexicon-gruppen som främst erbjuder expertstöd inom Office (mallar, databaser, kalkylmodeller, Outlook m.m.) men även utveckling och tjänster inom SharePoint, support, dokumentation med mera. Vi har undersökt funktionaliteten i SharePoint samt MS SQL Server och utvärderat vilka möjligheter plattformarna erbjuder för att skapa en BI-lösning som passar LexiConsults behov. SharePoint har stöd för ett antal olika verktyg, tjänster och tekniker för BI men inga av dessa fanns tillgängliga i den Office365-version som LexiConsult använder. Istället föreslogs en lösning där rapporterna skulle publiceras hos ett webhosting-företag. Vi har även undersökt vilka kritiska framgångsfaktorer som finns vid införandet av BI i ett IT-konsultföretag. Resultatet blev ett antal BI-rapporter utvecklade för SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) som LexiConsults personal kan ta del av via deras SharePoint-sajt. Rapporterna är utformade för uppföljning och analys av ekonomin med exempelvis indikatorer för viktiga nyckeltal, nedbrytning av intäkterna i olika synvinklar - per tidsperiod, per konsult, per kund och så vidare. Rapporterna ger viktig kunskap som kan användas för beslutstöd, till exempel vilka kunder och vilka typer av uppdrag som är mest lönsamma och ska prioriteras. Har konsulterna haft hög beläggningsgrad den senaste tiden och hur ser prognosen för framtiden ut? Ska ytterligare konsulter anställas? Några av rapporterna är behörighetsstyrda så att endast ledningen har åtkomst till dem, medan andra är tillgängliga för alla. Data till rapporterna hämtas från SQL-databasen till företagets boknings-, och faktureringssystem samt SharePoint-sajt. Detta data omvandlas till information i rapporterna, som ska ge kunskap om företaget och dess ekonomi. Resultatet av arbetet är intressant både för internt bruk inom LexiConsult och som produkt mot företagets kunder.

<p>Companies use IT tools for knowledge management. The purpose of this study is to examine the perceived benefits and possible drawbacks of SharePoint. Different perspectives on knowledge and different knowledge management processes are compared to this system. The vision for SharePoint in Stora Enso includes e.g. increasing work efficiency and supporting of knowledge sharing. The situation before SharePoint 2007 included e.g. information was hard to find and static sites existed in changeable conditions. Knowledge is mostly perceived as an object in Stora Enso, but with new features and techniques it is possible to view knowledge with other perspectives. The main benefit of SharePoint is the possibility to collaborate and share knowledge.</p>

<p>I have been studied Microsoft SharePoint on behalf of Prevas in Karlstad.</p><p>The purpose of my work was to see if Microsoft SharePoint was what Prevas wanted as a replacement for the existing intranet, which they are not satisfied with today.</p><p>My work was a kind of foundation for Prevas so they could make a decision in this matter.</p><p>The work began with installing SharePoint at one single server at Prevas. We used a virtual technology (VMware) at the installation, which can be described as that we created two “miniservers” in a bigger server, one for SharePoint and the other for storing the information. This kind of technology is strongly advancing. The main work consisted of setting up the structure for the navigation and designing both the portal and the local homepage for Prevas Karlstad. The inbuilt functions which were already setup from the supplier were tested by simulating different scenarios.</p><p>The result of my work was a test version for how it looks like if the existing intranet will be replaced with Microsoft SharePoint.</p>

SharePoint är ett stort content- och managament-system som många företag använder sig av. I detta kan mallar specificeras för olika dokumenttyper (kallade content types), som underlättar skapandet av nya dokument för slutanvändaren. Systemet för mallarna blir dock snabbt omständligt och ohanterligt när antalet mallar företaget använder sig av växer. I detta examensarbete undersöks en lösning till problemet med mallarna, som finns tillgänglig på Microsofts Codeplex-site, där projekt under open-source licens kan laddas upp för allmänheten. Under arbetet undersöktes denna lösning djupare och vidareutvecklades för att i slutet av arbetet kunna levereras i form av en prototyp som HOW Solutions kunde använda sig av i framtida projekt. Slutresultatet blev en prototyp som bygger vidare på den tidigare lösningen och som tillåter användaren att specificera en mall-hubb, i form av en site-samling med bibliotek som kan förse andra bibliotek med mallar. Under projektet blev också en annan vidareutveckling av programmet funnen, som visar stor potential och som bör tittas närmare på.<br>SharePoint is a large content and management system that is used by a vast number of businesses. Templates can be specified for different types of documents (called content types), which simplifies the creating of new documents for the end user. However, the system by which this is done today quickly becomes cumbersome and unmanageable when the number of templates that a business uses increases. In this thesis a solution to the problem is examined which is available on the Microsoft Codeplex site, a site for hosting open source projects. During the project the solution was examined in greater detail, and further developed into a prototype that HOW Solutions could use in future projects. The final result was a prototype that builds on the earlier solution which allows the user to specify a template hub, which is a site collection with libraries that supplies other libraries with templates. During the project another solution, which builds on the same solution, was found. It shows great promise and requires further investigation.

SharePoint is a web based platform designed to provide internal communications and file sharing for businesses and organizations. In this project, we created a system consisting of multiple applications to be used together with SharePoint. These applications are meant to simplify the workflow for internal orders of products. The system is targeted towards companies that do not have a flexible approach to digital orders or companies that want to integrate this functionality into their SharePoint platform. The project includes, in addition to the creation of the system, installation of the software and the servers needed to run a SharePoint environment and their configurations. The system consists of four applications where one of these, the store application, is required for the system to be used at all. The other applications are an order management application, a purchase application and an incoming delivery application. Of these four, we have implemented the store application and the order management application. Our hope is that users will find the system easy to use and graphically appealing.

Idag är det allt fler företag som väljer molnlösningar framför ”on premise lösningar” därför det för många företag blir mer lönsamt än en traditionell lösning för IT-infrastrukturen. SharePoint Online (SPO) tillsammans med Microsoft Office 365 är ett sådant verktyg. Rapporten behandlar uppbyggnaden av en webbplattformslösning för det fiktiva företaget K800, SPO valdes eftersom SPO är en kollaborativ webbplattform med många olika användningsområden och funktioner som hjälper företag att samarbeta online. SPO har ett enkelt sätt att administrera konton och användare, man får gott om lagringsutrymme som kan utökas. Uppdateringarna sker per automatik och utan att en administratör behöver göra en fysisk insats. De anställda har också en accesspunkt oavsett var de befinner sig oberoende av vilken enhet de använder sig av, och företaget betalar bara för de licenser man använder sig av. I SPO så byggdes en gemensam webbplats upp för internt bruk där användarna kan använda sig av sidor och funktioner beroende på den behörighetsnivå de blivit tilldelade. SPO kan kännas svårt till en början, men tack vare all material på Internet så går det att lära sig själv. Det uppstod några problem och svårigheter på vägen men tack vare Microsofts många Supportteam och andra nämnda så kunde felen avhjälpas och det var möjligt att leverera en färdigutvecklad webbplattform till K800.<br>Cloud services has come to be a major part for both small and big companies because it can be a more profitable solution in comparison to similar traditional “on premise” IT-infrastructure. SharePoint Online (SPO) together with Microsoft Office 365 is a tool for such a solution. This report covers the creation of one of those web platform solutions for the fictive company K800. SPO was chosen because SPO is a collaborative platform with many different applications and functions that will help companies to work together online. SPO has an easy way of administrate accounts and users, you get lots of storage space that can be expanded. Updates are incorporated automatically without the help of an administrator. Employees have access from wherever they may be independent of what equipment they use, and you only pay for the licenses that you use. Within SPO a website was built for the company’s internal needs, where users can use different sites and functions depending on what limitations and authorization-level they have been given. SPO can be complicated for beginners, but thanks to all the material available online it’s possible to learn by yourself. However, there were some complications and difficulties along the way but thanks to Microsoft’s many different support teams and others mentioned the issues could be solved and a complete website collaboration platform to K800 was delivered.

<p> </p><p>Abstract</p><p>Xeratech AB is a medium-sized company in Karlstad, Sweden. Part of their business involves support of their products. This support has been managed manually; incoming errands has been received, by phone or by e-mail, and afterwards sent to a consultant for processing. This approach lacks the ability to efficiently store these errands, to make useful reports based on the work done with it, and to automatically send out notifications and e-mail to support members involved with the errand.</p><p> </p><p>The goal of this dissertation is to implement an errand support system (a help desk) able to do the above things automatically. Since Xeratech use mostly Microsoft products, and uses SharePoint as their intranet platform, a choice has been made to implement this help desk system as a SharePoint State Machine Workflow. A state machine workflow is a workflow consisting of states, transitions and events. This type of workflow has been chosen because of its resemblance to the life cycle of an errand: errands will, during its life time, change from one state to another in a non predetermined way. For instance, when an errand is created, it will start in the <em>New </em>state, the workflow will then, when a person has started working with it, transition to the <em>In Progress </em>state, followed by a number of states until finally its state is <em>Completed</em>, and the work with the errand is done.</p><p> </p><p>This workflow will then be evaluated considering its ability to facilitate the implementation of the help desk system.</p><p> </p>

This study investigates different ways to use Microsoft SharePoint to publish data in the form of charts and tables from a software system as a part of a business intelligence effort. The purpose is to provide accurate and up-to-date statistics automatically on a corporate website instead of manually creating it. An application was developed to serve as middleware between the SharePoint server and the data source. Different options were analyzed, both client-side and server-side components. It was found that using the SharePoint .NET client API is an efficient way to achieve this goal, especially in an IT environment where development of SharePoint server-side components isn’t a viable option due to IT security concerns. The study describes a way to initiate a small-scale BI implementation without large budgets or firm commitments in the organization. It uses a web collaboration tool that is common in larger businesses and shows a way to interface in-house developed data sources. What SharePoint API to use was restricted from a IT security and stability standpoint in this thesis. This restriction is likely to apply also on other larger organizations where a similar initiative is driven from outside the IT department. It was found that automating the generation of production reports could save significant time compared to manually creating them.

Omnia HR är en HR-plattform utvecklat för Microsofts SharePoint. I denna artikel beskrivs hur en liten del av plattformen är skapad – onboardingen. När en ny person anställs på ett företag bör det göras förberedelser inför den nyanställdes första dag, det är vad onboardingen handlar om. I detta projekt skapades förutsättningar för att administrera och hantera dessa förberedelser. Projektet skrevs i Microsoft-utvecklade programmeringsspråket TypeScript, en påbyggnad på JavaScript. TypeScript transpileras ned till JavaScript och har stöd för de senaste funktionerna. I rapporten diskuteras fördelarna samt nackdelarna med att använda TypeScript för ett projekt, hur vida det faktiskt underlättar arbetet eller om det går lika bra att använda vanlig JavaScript.<br>Omnia HR is a HR-platform developed for Microsoft SharePoint. In this article, the creation of a smaller part for the platform – the onboarding – is described. When a new employee is hired, the company need to do some tasks before the new employees first day, that’s what the onboarding is all about. In this project conditions to administrate and handle these tasks were made. The project was written in the programing language TypeScript, developed by Microsoft. TypeScript is superset of JavaScript and is transpiled down to pure JavaScript with support for the latest functions. In this rapport pros and cons by using TypeScript for a project is discussed, and if it actually makes the process easier or if it’s just as good to use regular JavaScript.

The problem discussed in this thesis is the optimization of the process of planning, tracking and evaluating tasks in the management area of the department Corporate Technology in Siemens, Brno. Having studied theories of CMMI and principles of ISO 9001, the given process is optimized by automating certain manual tasks. As Corporate Technology uses a SharePoint server to manage tasks, the application is developed to improve his functionality. This application has therefore been tested in the environment of the organization with real-life data and complies to all necessary requirements to be able to save at least 50 % of time in the optimized process. The results of this thesis prove the usability of automating manual repetitive tasks being conducted in the processes of the organization and introduce possibility of increasing process level by preventing human errors.

Ett exempel är mobil åtkomst till Microsoft SharePoint, en webbplattform som erbjuder en bred uppsättning verktyg för bland annat dokumenthantering och projektsamarbete. Den här studien har utvärderat ett antal lösningar för att tillgängliggöra SharePoint på mobila enheter. Utvärderingen har fokuserat på de två huvudaspekterna användarvänlighet och säkerhet, eftersom studien utfördes på ett företag med omfattande hantering av sekretessbelagda filer. Lösningarna i studien har delvis testats via mobila enheter och delvis endast undersökts genom dokumentation på grund av brist på möjlighet till driftsättning av de mer avancerade lösningarna. Studien visar att de flesta av de undersökta lösningarna har brister i något eller några avseenden. Det var nämligen endast en av de undersökta lösningarna som bedömdes uppfylla de krav uppdragsgivaren ställer på användarvänlighet och säkerhet.

I processen att utveckla nya funktioner i ett SharePoint-baserat system måste utvecklarenvälja vilken datalagringsmetod som ska användas. Det finns två primära metoder attanvända sig av när data ska lagras i SharePoint. Den första är att använda SharePointsinbyggda listor. Den andra är att använda en egenutvecklad databas att arbeta mot.Vi har i studien undersökt de båda metoderna och studerat litteratur för att ta fram viktigaaspekter som bör beaktas vid val av datalagringsmetod. De aspekter vi tagit fram är;snabbhet, underhåll, flexibilitet, dataintegritet, redundans, tillgänglighet, säkerhet ochenkelt att utveckla i. Dessa aspekter har legat till grund för de jämförelser vi gjort.Vi har genomfört en kvantitativ studie i form av ett experiment där vi har undersökt detvå metoderna med avseende på aspekten snabbhet. Vi har även genomfört en kvalitativstudie, där vi intervjuat en expert inom SharePoint-området.Från den kvantitativa studien kan vi visa på att använda en separat databas är påtagligtsnabbare än att använda listor, metoden att använda en separat databas är även bättre påatt hantera stora datamängder.Från den kvalitativa studien kan vi bland annat visa på att en lösning med egenutveckladdatabas är svårare att underhålla än om lösningen använder sig av listor. Från enutvecklares perspektiv är det även enklare att använda listor med tanke på all denfunktionalitet som redan finns inbyggd i listorna. En annan fördel med listorna är att detär enklare att interagera med andra delar i SharePoint om lösningen använder listor fördatalagring.Vi kan inte entydigt säga att en metod är bättre än den andra utan det ärsituationsberoende och utvecklaren måste göra ett aktivt val av metod. Vi anser dock attman i de flesta situationer bör använda listor för datalagring i SharePoint. Detta är främstpå grund av att det finns mycket färdigutvecklat om man använder listor samt att det blirlättare att underhålla ett system som bygger på listor.<br>Uppsatsnivå: C

Today's world is globally connected by various IT or ICT technologies. There is a plenty of information around the world. People that are able to work effectively with the information have really big advantage. This is mainly the reason why many products are being made only with one purpose -- to make this process more effective, easier and faster. One of them is Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. The work is all about this product and its implementation into a small company. An introduction discusses basic reasons that can lead to implement SharePoint. The first logical part of the work describes functionality of the portal and is divided into six groups of functions. For better illustration, there are also examples based on real scenarios. The second part of the text focuses on individual phases of the process of implementation of SharePoint Server 2010 into the company and it also includes an example of real installation. The last part of the work is focused on design of the project collaboration web for the specific company. In individual chapters, the reader gradually learns about the possibilities of practical use of SharePoint functionality and also about the implementation of this software into the company environment. In both parts author uses his practical experience which he gained by working with the technology in a real environment.

La mia esperienza con Microsoft SharePoint ha inizio durante il tirocinio svolto
presso una famosa azienda bolognese tra fine settembre e metà novembre 2014. Durante
questi due mesi ho avuto il piacere di confrontarmi con questa piattaforma e di
studiarla allo scopo di carpire quali possano essere i vantaggi e gli svantaggi
per un'impresa una volta che decidesse di investire su di essa.
La decisione di scrivere una tesi su SharePoint e di aumentare la mia conoscenza
su di esso, ha preso piede dentro di me in seguito allo sviluppo di una piccola
applicazione d'esempio. Infatti in sole due settimane e senza scrivere una riga
di codice, se non qualche piccolo script di css, sono stato in grado di
realizzare un piccolo gestionale per uno studio di rappresentanza di
abbigliamento. Grazie alla realizzazione di questo applicato ho potuto
riscontrare l'effettiva forza del tool. Difatti, SharePoint, possiede un livello
d'astrazione così elevato da offrire una o più soluzioni predefinite ad una
vasta gamma di problemi di business, riducendo conseguentemente i tempi ed i
costi di sviluppo.
A questa motivazione si è aggiunta anche quella derivante dal fatto che la
piattaforma viene usata da molte realtà aziendali di elevata importanza. A tal
proposito una di queste mi ha concesso l'autorizzazione a sottoporle
un'intervista.

As mobile devices become more common when surfing the web there is an increasing demand of making web sites adjusted to other devices than computers. One common platform on the web is Microsoft SharePoint. In this report I look into one method of how to develop web sites that work on multiple devices in Microsoft SharePoint. I will be looking into different techniques as separate web sites compared to responsive web design. By exploring the approach of mobile first I try to find a working solution of techniques. I also look into another method that is suggested in a book and look into how Bootstrap could be used in the process. I will also look into content to identify what content need to be adjusted between different devices. I find that navigation is an important part of a web site and look into different methods of handling navigation on mobile devices. By analyzing different techniques and looking into what content is going to be adjusted a solution is proposed where the navigation is adjusted in a responsive design. The design is converted into a SharePoint masterpage and then fixed using stylesheets and JavaScript. The solution works on a web site with a complex site structure since it focuses on how to adjust the navigation.

Inom ett företag eller en organisation finns det stor nytta av intranät som ett arbetsverktyg för att kunna dela information. Ett välfungerat intranät bidrar till ett bättre informationsflöde och ett effektivare samarbete. SharePoint är en plattform för intranät med interaktiva funktioner. Omnia är ett ramverk anpassad för Microsofts SharePoint 2013.I detta arbete undersöks hur Omnia fungerar som ett ramverk och vad produkten lämpar sig för. Omnia ramverket utvärderades noggrant och en oberoende bedömning utfördes under examensarbetet. Utvärderingen var baserad på vetenskapliga undersökningar som byggde på den kvalitativa och kvantitativa forskningsmetodiken. Utvärderingens huvudområden baserades på systemets prestanda, skalbarhet, arkitektur och funktionalitet. En testprototyp utvecklades under arbetets gång genom Omnia i from av en webbaserad applikation.Ramverket Omnia var lämplig för utveckling av interaktiva webbaserade applikationer för intranät i SharePoint. Dock saknade den färdig dokumentation/API, vilket gjorde utvecklingsprocessen mer avancerad. Lösningsarkitekturen för systemet uppfyllde kraven för skalbara system, eftersom den baserades på lagerarkitektur. Systemet hade även bra prestanda, dock försämrades den efter att antalet användare översteg ettusen. Funktionaliteten testades med hjälp av två olika tester, vilket visade att produkten är lämplig för att användas i intranät.<br>The functionality was tested by two different tests, which showed that the product is suitable for usage in the intranet within a company or an organization, there are great benefits from using intranet as a tool for sharing of information. A good intranet contributes to a better flow of information and effective cooperation. SharePoint is a platform for intranet with interactive features, it makes the job easier for staff and even the company. The framework Omnia is a solution designed for Microsoft SharePoint 2013.This essay evaluates how Omnia acts as a framework and what the product is suitable for. Omnia framework evaluates carefully and is an independent assessment carried during this essay. The evaluation is based on scientific studies which are based on the qualitative and quantitative research methodology. The evaluator's main areas are based on system performance, scalability, architecture and functionality. A test prototype develops during the process in the form of an employee vacation request application by the development framework Omnia.The framework Omnia is considered to be suitable for the development of interactive web-based applications for SharePoint. The architecture for the system meets the requirements for scalable systems because it is based on the tier architecture. The system also has good performance but it needs to be improved if the number of users exceeds one thousand. The functionality of this product is quite suitable for the system's usage.

Microsoft har utvecklat ett verktyg för informationsdelning och samarbete, detta mjukvarupaket är känt under namnet SharePoint teknologin. Vi har i detta examensarbete extraherat delarna av SharePoint teknologin. Vi fann, att paketet innefattar två huvudsakliga mjukvaruapplikationer som namnges SharePoint Services och SharePoint Portal Server 2003; vidare fann vi att SharePoint Service kan användas på egen hand, och att SharePoint Portal Server 2003 bara är en extension. I vår uppsats undersökte vi miljön som krävs för att åstadkomma en framgångsrik installation. Vi beskriver de olika systemarkitekturerna som paketet kan arbeta på och vilka andra mjukvaror som är nödvändiga för att använda SharePoint teknologin fullt ut. Vi blev inte överraskade att teknologin är baserad på en samexistens med andra Microsoft produkter, främst på Windows Server 2003 och Office 2003. Produkter från andra mjukvaruutvecklare kan bli integrerade, men grunden av teknologin baseras på Microsoft produkter. För att sätta SharePoint teknologin på prov gjorde vi en installation som innefattade en stand alone server med Windows Server 2003, SQL 2000 och Office 2003. Vi har gjort en dokumentsammanställning av installationen som innefattar detaljerad beskrivning av installationsprocedur- och konfigurations-möjligheter. Efter installationen av SharePoint Service undersökte vi funktionerna och användbarheten av SharePoint Services, genom att testa dess små interna mjukvaru-enheter kallade WebParts; alla dessa små enheter fungerar som delar, där var och en är avsedd att utföra en bestämd funktion. SharePoint använder WebParts som byggstenar vilka tillåter användaren att lätt definiera ett system, som han/hon behöver. Nästa steg var att installera SharePoint Portal Server 2003 och undersöka vilka extra finesser som tillkommer i extensionen. Vi fann att SharePoint Portal Server 2003 har exakt samma möjligheter som SharePoint Services, men är utökad med användbara finesser såsom personliga webbsidor, Target Audience och integration med andra företags mjukvara. Om man gör en extrem förenkling kan man säga att SharePoint Services, är mer avsett för småföretag och organisationer, som inte behöver samarbeta med externa källor och har alla sina resurser inom husets egna gränser. SharePoint Portal Server är inriktat på företag som har behov av samarbete inom organisationen, varhelst man befinner sig i världen. Vår uppsats involverar dock inte ett praktiskt test av huruvida SharePoint möter dessa frågeställningar. Denna uppsats gjordes med praktiska tester av WebParten och av systemen installerade på vår dator; för enkelhets skull gör vi teoretiska antaganden som baseras på det praktiska testet som gjorts för WebParten. Före sammanfattningen av våra slutsatser framlägger vi en formell Microsoft vy av SharePoint teknologin, denna används som en modell för våra tester, målet var att jämföra Microsofts vy med vårt test. Vi fann att Microsoft gjorde ett bra jobb, alla finesser som nämnts i den formella vyn är uppfyllda, men utifrån våra tester drar vi slutsatsen att detta inte är så enkelt gjort som man kan uppfatta av Microsofts skildring.<br>Microsoft has developed a tool for information sharing and collaboration, this software suit is known under the name SharePoint Technology. In this bachelor assignment we have extracted the parts of SharePoint Technology. We found that the suit consists of two main software applications named SharePoint Services and SharePoint Portal Server 2003, further we found that SharePoint Services can be used on its own and that SharePoint Portal Server 2003 application is only an extension. In our thesis we investigate the environment that is required to make a successful installation. We describe the different system architecture that the suit can work on and what other software is necessary to make full use of SharePoint Technology. We were not surprised that the technology is based on coexistence withother Microsoft products, mainly on Windows Server 2003 and Office 2003. Products from other software developers can be integrated but the foundation of the technology relies on Microsoft’s products. To put SharePoint Technology to the test we made an installation consisting of a stand alone server with Windows Server 2003, SQL 2000 and Office 2003. We have made a complete documentation of the installation, consisting of detailed description of installation procedure and configuration choices. After installing SharePoint Services we investigated the functions and usefulness of the SharePoint Services by testing its internal small software units called WebParts, all those small units serve as parts that are dedicated to perform a certain function. SharePoint uses WebParts as bricks that allow the user to easily define a system that he requires. Next step was to install SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and investigate what additional features come with the extension. We found that SharePoint Server 2003 has exactly the same possibilities as SharePoint Services but adds very useful features like personal webpages, target audiences and integration with other enterprise business’ software, if taken to extreme simplicity one can say that SharePoint Services is meant for smaller companies and organizations that don’t need to cooperate with external sources and have all its resources within the limits of their own house. SharePoint Portal Server is intended for companies that have the need of collaboration within organizations that are located anywhere in the world. Our thesis does not involve a practical test of whether SharePoint meets those issues. The thesis deals with practical tests of the WebParts and of the system installed on our computer, we simply make theoretical assumptions based on the practical test made to the WebParts. Before the summary of our conclusions we present a formal Microsoft view of the SharePoint Technology, this is used as a model for our testing, the goal was to compare the Microsoft view with our test. We found that Microsoft made a good job, all of the features mentioned in the formal view are covered but from our point of view it is not done as easy as one can assume.

The main objective of this thesis is to identify the needs and requirements of the selected company and then propose a suitable intranet solution built on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013. These objectives were achieved by deep analysis of various sources, as well as through consultations with experts, and also from practical experience of the author, acquired in Al-gotech Corporation. The main contribution of this thesis is creating a comprehensive summary of the issue and develop an appropriate solution design for a specific organisation. In this thesis, the author initially focuses on the concept of Enterprise Content Management (ECM), in the next section the author will analyse available tools on the market. In the final stage, the author will analyse specific requirements of the company, based on which he will create the recommendation for the optimal solution.

Management thinking has changed focus from bringing in new customers to under- standing the significance of maintaining existing customers and the need to attain loyalty with these customers. This has increased the importance of keeping good customer relationships. One important element to attain good customer relations is through a solid customer support. In this thesis a customer support approach for a software consultancy company has been implemented. The goal was to create a SharePoint Online application that would work as a single point of contact for the customers to improve the issue resolution process. Requirements elicitation was done through five customer interviews to obtain opinions and needs. Moreover, based on the customer requirements a workshop were held with developers from the consultancy firm to design a workflow proto- type. The final result is a customer-centered process that takes reported issues and manages the tickets through the issue life cycle until the issue is resolved. The approaches relies heavily on light-weight feedback in terms of mail notifications, reminders, and automatic assignment of tasks. The new process was developed in SharePoint Online and implemented using SharePoint Designer.

Rapporten behandlar utvecklingen av en portal som är tänkt att användas av alla olika delar av en företagskoncern, både som intranät, extranät och extern webbplats. Denna rapport undersöker vad som är viktigt att uppfylla för att skapa en portal av detta slag där kraven på flexibilitet är stora, samtidigt som de olika företagen i koncernen ska ha utrymme att agera både som enskilda företag och som medlemmar i en koncern. Rapporten undersöker även om tekniken SharePoint kan vara lämplig att använda i ett sådant fall samt tar upp alternativ till SharePoint. Slutsatserna är att två aspekter är särskilt viktiga i en portal av slaget som efterfrågas. Dels att portalen utformas med en tydlig struktur och väl definierade nivåer med klara uppgifter, dels att tekniken bakom portalen är anpassningsbar, öppen för vidareutvecklingar och att tekniken är modulbaserad. SharePoint uppfyller dessa aspekter och bedöms därför som lämplig att använda i en sådan portal. I den portal som rapporten avser bedöms även SharePoint vara lämpligare än de alternativa tekniker som rapporten behandlar.

This qualitative study is of the interpretivist nature and it aims to examine how knowledge workers perceive their interaction with a knowledge management system when used for knowledge sharing purposes. The purpose is to offer answers to two research questions: How do knowledge workers perceive their interaction with knowledge management technology in relation to knowledge sharing? What are the benefits and challenges that knowledge workers experience in relation to knowledge managing and sharing when using a KMS system? The data was collected by applying qualitative research methods and by conducting five interviews with participants of an IT organization that has its head office in Sweden, but additional offices in other geographical locations. To be able to study the participants´ perception and the benefits of the use on both local and international levels, the interviewees were chosen from different sites in which their organization was operating. To provide the answers to these questions and to establish the foundation of this research, an extensive literature review on the problem area was carried out, and a theoretical framework has been employed to study the different aspects of this model in the context of knowledge management systems in relation to knowledge sharing among knowledge workers. As a result, additional derived attributes came from the findings and it is shown that users tend to relate knowledge quality with the completeness, frequency of update, and validity of the knowledge content that they are exposed to in the KMS. Similarly, they relate KMS quality to administrability and maintenance easiness, whereas organizational service providing quality in relation to knowledge sharing is more related to the aspects of organizational commitment and reliability. Moreover, the findings show that participants relate their intention to use the KMS to the attributes of convenience and practicality, and the levels of user satisfaction were in this case mainly related to the user´s perception of usefulness. Lastly, the perception of the benefits and reciprocal value-creating for both the organization and the individual was examined and the findings show that the users tend to relate these to the aspect of relevance, or in other words that the benefits are only perceived as useful by the user if they are identifiable, respectively the user being aware of the benefits and perceiving them as relevant.

– the ability to add, delete and view related documents;
– the ability to preview the document;
– the ability to print, electronically sign, upload and send documents to the other party.
The system must work properly and be displayed in the following browsers:
– Internet Explorer 11 and higher;
– Google Chrome 60 and above;
– Mozilla Firefox 55 and above;
– Microsoft Edge.
Further development of the system is possible in the direction of expanding the functionality and improving the system interface.
The work has a practical value. The calculation of economic value was not carried out.

I detta projekt har SharePoint integrerats i SiteVision. Flera av SiteVision AB:s kunder har efterfrågat en möjlighet att integrera produkten med SharePoint. Microsoft tillhandahåller inga direkta API:er för SharePoints objektmodell i Java som SiteVision är skrivet i. SiteVision AB visste inte hur kunderna ville kunna arbeta med SharePoint i SiteVision och var angelägna om att ta reda på detta. Det övergripande syftet med denna rapport har varit att möjliggöra en attraktiv integration av SharePoint från SiteVision. Detta har utförts genom att undersöka vilka delar av SharePoint som SiteVision AB:s kunder vill kunna komma åt från SiteVision och hur kunderna vill kunna komma åt dessa delar i SiteVision. Undersökningen har genomförts genom kvalitativa intervjuer med några av SiteVision AB:s kunder. Undersökningen har visat att kunderna helst vill ha en integration mot SharePoints dokumenthanteringssystem. De vill ha möjligheten att lista filer från SharePoint i SiteVision utifrån en given mapp eller metadata. De vill även kunna söka efter SharePoint-filer i SiteVision. Ett internt API för kommunikation mot SharePoint i Java har konstruerats. Efter kundernas önskemål har en SiteVision-modul som listar filer utifrån en angiven mapp skapats. Dessutom har en enkel prototyp till sökmodul konstruerats. Resultaten från intervjuerna kan inte anses vara representativa för hela kundkretsen men gav en indikation om vad som skulle utvecklas först. Projektets mål är uppfyllda men modulerna behöver utvecklas vidare innan de kan lanseras.<br>In this thesis project, SharePoint has been integrated in SiteVision. Several customers of SiteVision AB have requested an integration of SharePoint from SiteVision. Microsoft doesn’t provide any API for Java to SharePoint object model. SiteVision AB did not know in what form the customers wanted to access SharePoint from SiteVision but was keen to find out. The overall aim with this thesis has been to make an appealing integration of SharePoint from SiteVision possible. This has been accomplished by performing a study investigating what parts of SharePoint the customers wanted to access from SiteVision and in what form they wanted to access it. The study has been performed by qualitative interviews with some of the customers of SiteVision AB. The study has shown that the customers most of all wants to integrate the document management system of SharePoint. They want to be able to view SharePoint files inside SiteVision based on a provided folder, or file meta data. They also want to search for SharePoint files in SiteVision. An internal API for communication with SharePoint in Java has been constructed. Based on the customers’ requests, a SiteVision module that lists SharePoint files based on a folder has been created. Furthermore, a simple prototype for a search module has been constructed. The results from the study cannot be considered as representative of all customers but gave an indication of what should be developed first. The overall aim has been fulfilled but the modules need additional developing before they can be released.

Tillgången på så kallade molntjänster är något som har ökat de senaste åren, vilket inneburit att många klassiska tjänster nu även erbjuds i molnet. Ett beslut ifall denna typ av lösningar skall användas, påverkas av många olika aspekter som ofta är unika för den specifika organisationen. Således finns ett behov av ett underlag som tillgodoser de kriterier som är viktiga för organisationen, men också ger en överblick av de olika alternativen. Samtidigt måste även hänsyn tas till organisationens subjektiva uppfattning vid beslutsfattandet, för att på så sätt kunna genomföra ett genomtänkt och välgrundat val om vilket alternativ som bör användas. Målet med undersökningen har varit att bidra med ny information inom området och påvisa hur det praktiskt kan gå till att ta fram denna typ av underlag för att motivera sitt beslut. Detta har undersökts genom att i en fallstudie jämföra tre olika plattformsalternativ för Microsoft SharePoint och rangordna dessa efter en redan befintlig metod för att ta beslut baserade på flera kriterier. Valet av metod föll på Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) vilket är en etablerad metod som även används inom många andra områden och lämpar sig för beslut baserad på subjektiva uppfattningar. Undersökningen har visat att det är möjligt att använda AHP för denna typ av jämförelse, för att få en överblick mellan de olika alternativen och för att slutgiltligen få fram det alternativ som är lämpligast, vilket i detta fall blev molnlösningen.<br>The availability of so called cloud services has increased during the last years, which in turn means that many of the classical solutions often found locally, now are offered in the cloud. A decision if a cloud solution should be used is affected by many different aspects, which in many cases are unique for the specific organization. Therefore there is a need for a method which takes all these important criteria’s into account, but also creates a good overview of the different options. At the same time the organization’s subjective perception also has to be taken into account, so that the material can serve as a solid foundation for a decision of which option that should be used. The goal of this study has been to contribute with new information and also to practically prove how this type of material can be created and used to motivate a decision. This has been dealt with as a case study, by comparing three different platform options for Microsoft SharePoint and rank them accordingly, after an already existing method for multi-criteria decision making. The method used ended up to be Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which is an established method used in many other areas and takes subjective perception into account. The study has shown that it is possible to use AHP for this kind of comparison and that it will give you an overview between the different options, but also select the one most appropriate to use according to the

Nowadays, Intranet is an inseparable part of every company, notwithstanding of their size or field of activity. Both, in my work and personal life, I often come across different intranets that usually do not get a positive response. But they usually have the same source of the problem, which is based on their wrong structure. This is why is chose this topic for my thesis. The goal of my thesis is to perform an analysis of an existing intranet of a particular company and subsequently create a design of the intranet new structure using the card-sorting method. This thesis primarily represents a generalized method of how to proceed during such realization and which areas to look into. Theoretical part of this thesis covers the topics of information architecture and also the term intranet itself, where the most frequent issues I came across in the intranets are pointed out. Practical part covers the analysis itself, where I focus on the structure of the existing intranet, categorization of its content, connections with other systems, customization, permission management, surveys of contentment, and intranet usage. The analysis is performed manually by scanning through the existing intranet of the company, since other methods or approaches could not be applied due to technical limitations or insufficient permis-sions. Based on the outputs of the analysis, web categorizations and the card-sorting method, a design of a structure of the new intranet has been proposed. The design itself is a demonstration of the method how to approach the new intranet design.

<p>IT-företaget Medius tillhandahåller en produkt för ärendehantering, Medius Flow. I denna produkt finns ett visst stöd för dokumenthantering, närmare bestämt en möjlighet att klassificera dokument och lagra dem via Medius Flow. En av Medius kunder har efterfrågat mer funktionalitet och möjligheter att kunna sätta rättigheter på dokument, alltså bestämma vem som ska ha tillgång till ett specifikt dokument.</p><p>Examensarbetet har gått ut på att undersöka olika lösningar för att implementera dokumenthantering i Medius Flow, utvärdera dessa och sedan implementera den lösning som verkar vara bäst.</p><p>Efter att en kundintervju utförts framkom krav på systemet i form av bland annat utökade rättighetsfunktioner, möjlighet att skapa arbetsflöden och att man lätt ska kunna hitta dokumenten.</p><p>Tre olika lösningsförslag togs fram. Det första gick ut på att vidareutveckla den dokumenthantering som finns i Medius Flow idag. Det andra gick ut på att använda sig av ett tredjepartsdokumenthanteringssystem och sedan bygga en integration mellan Medius Flow och detta system. Det tredje lösningsförslaget var att använda sig av Microsoft SharePoint, en webbplatsmotor som ingår i Windows Server 2003.</p><p>Sharepointlösningen var den lösning som efter utvärdering valdes eftersom mycket av den önskade funktionaliteten redan fanns i produkten. Dessutom finns det utvecklingsverktyg där resterande funktionalitet kan utvecklas. Att sätta sig in i hur sharepoint fungerar och konfigureras har tagit en del tid i anspråk och detta kan till viss del bero på att sharepoint V3 endast funnits tillgängligt som en beta-version under tiden för examensarbetet.</p><p>En dokumenthanteringswebbplats har skapats och på denna har experimentella studier utförts. Detta har mynnat ut i en portal med ett antal dokumentbibliotek och ett generellt arbetsflöde som jag har skapat för godkännande av dokument.</p><p>Dokumenthanteringswebbplatsen som har byggts tillhandahåller en generell plattform som i framtiden kan konfigureras för att fungera för alla kunder Medius har. Framtida arbete kan vara att byta ut arbetsflödesmotorn i Medius Flow mot Windows Workflow Foundation för att i framtiden kunna utveckla nya arbetsflöden med stöd av programvara från Microsoft.</p>

In these days we have more and more digitization of business content. The effort to reduce paper documents and replace them with digital/electronic form places increasing demands on the management of these documents and data/information in enterprises. With this kind of problem usually deal systems known as Enterprise Content Management. Main topic of this thesis is the implementation of MS SharePoint 2013. This thesis focuses its objectives on an analysis of the possibilities of using MS SharePoint, description of recommendations for the design of systems based on MS SharePoint and practical illustration of MS SharePoint implementation project in a specific organization. The first part of this thesis aims on the concept of Enterprise Content Management, MS SharePoint system performance and analyzing options how to deploy MS SharePoint into organizations. Based on this analysis, is further compared the coverage of functionality of MS SharePoint and specialized and robust ECM systems. The next part focuses on a description of the procedures that are recommended for the design and development of systems. In this part of the thesis is chosen an appropriate methodology for the development of information systems, which is used according to specific MS SharePoint implementation project within defined organization. Subsequently, the thesis analyzed the suitability of the methodology for the implementation of MS SharePoint and the proposed possible expansion of the selected methodology to fully meet the needs and specifics of MS SharePoint implementation projects. Subsequently, on the basis of these recommendations, there was made a draft of the MS SharePoint implementation project.

Hur bör man dokumentera det och hur bör man hantera den färdiga dokumentationen? Detta är de frågor som vi med detta arbete vill ge svar på.</p><p>Vi har genom en kvalitativ fallstudie och deduktivt arbete kommit fram till en lösning som förenklar arbetet med dokumentering av servrar, nätobjekt och nätverksinfrastruktur. Denna lösning innefattar egenutvecklade mallar i Microsoft Word, en lösning för dokumenthantering i Windows SharePoint Services och ett verktyg för automatisk insamling av systeminformation.</p>

Detta examensarbete gjordes i två syften, att ge Scania teoretiskt underlag till en ny teknik för hantering av personalens från och närvaroplanering, samt implementera den nya tekniken. Scanias dåvarande lösning utnyttjades genom att använda olika Excel-ark, dessa har uppfattats som ineffektiva och krångliga att arbeta med. Detta har lett till en hel del extra administrativt arbete och behovet av en ny lösning definierades till ett examensarbete. Den initiala fasen av projektet handlade om att förstå relevanta processer rörande från och närvaroplanering. Allt eftersom processerna var förstådda definierades krav på den nya lösningen genom kvalitativa metoder och intervjuer med respondenter av olika befattningar från verksamheten. Kraven som erhölls från intervjuerna visade sig vara relativt konsistenta och fastställdes i en kravspecifikation. Kravspecifikationen användes för att utvärdera olika lösningar som valts ut från marknadens utbud. Vidare genomfördes en make or buy analys som gjorde det möjligt att avgöra om lösningen skulle köpas in eller utvecklas internt. Efter interna diskussioner inom Scania, där resultaten från utvärderingen och make or buy analysen analyserades, fattades beslutet att den nya lösningen skulle byggas i en Microsoft SharePoint miljö. Miljön var redan tillgänglig för Scania och implementeringen gjordes i form av en pilotimplementering. Två grupper från Scanias verksamhet fick en förfrågan om de ville agera piloter, i syfte att utvärdera lösningen efter styrkor, svagheter och önskad funktionalitet. Pilotfasen är planerad att starta i början av september 2013.<br>This thesis was done with two-fold purpose, to give Scania a theoretical base for a new technology for management of the personnel presence and absence planning and to implement this new technology. Scanias former solution was utilized by using different Excel sheets and these have been perceived as inefficient and cumbersome to work with. This has led to a lot of additional administrative work and the need for a new solution was defined to this thesis. The initial phase of the project focused on understanding the relevant processes related to the presence and absence planning. When the processes were well understood, requirements on the new system were captured through qualitative methods and interviews with respondents of different positions from the enterprise. The requirements obtained from the interviews proved to be relatively consistent and was defined in a requirement specification. These requirements were used to evaluate different solutions chosen from the commercial stock. In addition, a make or buy analysis were created and made it possible to determine whether the solution would be bought or developed internally. After internal discussions within Scania, where the results from the alternative solution evaluation and the make or buy analysis was considered, it was decided that the new solution would be built in a Microsoft SharePoint environment. The environment was already available for Scania and the implementation was done as a pilot implementation. Two groups from Scanias enterprise was asked to act pilots, in order to evaluate the solution by strengths, weaknesses and desired functionalities. The pilot phase is planned to start in early September 2013.

Xamarin, a cross-platform development framework, was used in this project for the development of a proof-of-concept mobile client application for an existing intranet solution. The intranet consists of Microsoft SharePoint components and is a pre-assembled product produced by the requestor of this project; Sogeti. To fetch the intranet’s data, a web API was implemented as an intermediary between the mobile application and the intranet. The Xamarin application targets three different mobile platforms including iOS, Android and Universal Windows Platform, and since Xamarin allows for shared logic between different operating systems, this approach was adopted to the greatest extent possible. However, during the development of the project several problems were encountered that prompted platform-specific implementations. For example, the user authentication process needed to be implemented in a platform-specific manner in the client application and some parts of the graphical user interface needed to be adapted to each individual platform as well. Even though the development of the applications was not completely finished, four out of seven of the original requirements set forth by Sogeti at the beginning of the project were achieved. These fulfilled requirements include, among other functionality, the implementation of displaying news articles and attention messages from a user’s specific intranet solution. Overall, the project was found to be successful, especially with regard to evaluating how well Xamarin and cross-platform development works with these kinds of mobile applications.

<p>Idag leds företag av tre hörnstenar: kommunikation, informations- och dokumenthantering. Dessa begrepp hör ihop och förutspår framtiden för företaget. Detta är även ämnet som denna rapport berör. Rapporten beskriver 10 poängs examensarbete, som utförts som en del i vår utbildning.</p><p>Kommunikation är alltså en mänsklig handling, något som vi gör och information är det vi utbyter genom att kommunicera med varandra. Information är något som finns överallt idag och berör oss alla på olika sätt och vis. Den har olika påverkan på oss alla och vi tolkar det olika.</p><p>Genom dokumenthantering kan man effektivisera processer, rutiner och arbetsflöden, samtidigt som man ökar omfattningen och effektiviteten för företagsinformationen.</p><p>En undersökning är en form av primär data där man samlar ihop data från antingen en hel grupp eller en del av en grupp. Det finns en del olika sätt att utföra en undersökning, via till exempel telefon eller elektronisk. Vi valde att skicka ut en undersökning elektronisk som vår målgrupp fick fylla i.</p><p>Undersökningen, även kallad effektivitetstest, är kvalitativ vilket syftar till att svaren skall ha en djupare dimension än bara siffror.</p><p>Efter att ha fått klart för oss över de problem som fanns har vi även tittat på olika funktioner som kan lösa dessa problem. De flesta av funktionerna fanns i SharePoint (Server och Services). Som stöd kan man även använda funktioner i OneNote och InfoPath.</p>

<p>The purpose of this report is to present the findings from the thesis work performed at Qurius Sweden (former Ibitec). The goal was to evaluate how usable Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 2007) was in general and how usable two portal solutions created for MOSS 2007 were in particular. The goal also consisted ofevaluating how SharePoint could be improved in terms of usability and accessibility. The last part of the thesis work was to create a dynamic help tool, from where application specific help could be created.The usability was evaluated with a variant of usability engineering. Not all of the original method could be used because the products analyzed were already finished. The results from the analysis show that MOSS 2007 is quite usable, especially when it comes to document handling. It is also possible to create web pages and sites with ease. MOSS 2007 lacks in usability when it comes to presenting information to the user regarding what is going on in the system and. The system can also be quite complex and much to grasp for an end user. Solutions created in MOSS 2007 follows closely the usability of MOSS 2007 but they can be made very usable if only certain aspects are considered. Example of improvements could be the placement of the help system, clearer error messages and an overlook of managing user rights.The dynamic help tool was created in the programming language C# and based on the .NET platform. The implementation is a so-called Web Part that can easily be inserted on a page in MOSS 2007. The help tool uses the built in help system in MOSS 2007 for editing present help files and for adding new files to it. The help tool has a very minimalistic design and the focus was on the tasks it should be performing rather than a nice-looking interface. To ensure usability for the help tool, future work should be done, testing the product with real users and apply other usability methods to improve the help tool. As of now, no usability methods have been used while developing the help tool, nor have any tests with real users been performed. This is to be considered as future work.As a conclusion, both MOSS 2007 and the solutions created for it can be said to have a certain degree of usability shown from the evaluations. Improvements can be done, and should be, in order to increase the users’ experience. With the help tool, it is now possible to create solution specific help for a project intended for MOSS 2007.</p>

El Sistema Privado de Pensiones (SPP), y especialmente Prima AFP, contribuye con la sociedad al administrar los aportes mensuales de los afiliados al SPP para brindarles una óptima rentabilidad que les permita percibir pensiones y de esta manera asegurar la subsistencia de estos cuando ya no estén en condiciones de laborar. Se acuerdo a informes estadísticos de la SBS, al 31 de Mayo 2018, Prima AFP tiene un total de 24,757 pensionistas, de los cuales aproximadamente un 1% (150) reciben pensión mediante cheques de gerencia no negociables. El pago a través de los cheques es una facultad otorgada por la Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP, para el pago a los pensionistas y clientes. A través de un análisis interno de riesgos, se identificó que el riesgo residual del tratamiento de cheques tenía una criticidad Relevante, lo cual requirió una reducción en la exposición del mismo. La administración y control de los cheques que se emiten en la sede central, que son enviados a las 15 agencias a nivel nacional y finalmente son entregados a los clientes, se venía manejando a través de un archivo Excel que era compartido en el portal interno de Prima AFP, implementado sobre una plataforma MS Sharepoint 2010. Para mejorar el control de estos documentos valorados y tener una visibilidad en línea de la situación de los cheques a nivel nacional, se desarrolló una lista personalizada en MS Sharepoint, y se agregaron componentes de control a través de flujos de trabajo personalizados desarrollados en Sharepoint Designer, para de esta manera tener un control total sobre la situación de los cheques. Finalmente se capacitó al personal que participa de este proceso, desde las tesorerías, áreas operativas y áreas de atención a los jubilados.<br>Trabajo de suficiencia profesional

<p>Vid möteshantering används många olika groupware, några av de groupware som används är intranät och e-post. Något som blir allt vanligare är att integrerade intranät och e-postlösningar (exempelvis Sharepoint) används vid möteshantering. Det behövs fler jämförelser om hur användbara olika informationssystem är vid möteshantering. Den här studien syftar till att jämföra hur användbart integrerat intranät och e-post är jämfört med separat intranät och e-post vid möteshantering. För att besvara frågan så har groupware walkhtrough och enkäter använts. Studien har skett på Stena Line i två olika grupper. Resultatet pekar mot att integrerat intranät och e-post är mer användbart vid möteshantering än separat intranät och e-post. Det krävs dock fler liknande undersökningar på andra arbetsplatser för att kunna generalisera resultatet.</p>
