Resumen
The article examines the reasons leading to the increase in the price of fuel and energy resources consumed in the Arctic regions of the Yakutia. The paper studies the conditions for the development of coal deposits in the region. It is shown the lack of open cast mines that meet modern criteria for efficient use of small-scale open mining by quality and logistic accessibility. This article determines that with the minimum level of clogging of the hard coal mined and the stabilization of its quality over time, it is possible to efficiently recycle the fuel without other precombustion measures.

Over time, the discovery of the deposit, the exploitation and processing of coal has led to the development and prosperity of many areas called “coal regions”. In the last decades we have witnessed the closing process of many exploitation capacities (underground mines or open pit quarries) with complex socio-economic and even cultural impact in the coal region and on the continent. Debates for or against “coal” with related arguments, policies, strategies and measures at global, regional, national and local level integrate holistically from the “resource” issue to large dynamic systems (energy

In order to elaborate the concept of an industrial ecosystem for circular economy for old industrial coal mining regions in Ukraine, we apply Corrine Beaumont's Lean Tribe Canvas model. The concept is based on combination of several approaches, including smart shrinking, urban mines, smart specialisation. The main idea of this concept is to organize an integrated industrial ecosystem for processing of accumulated waste of coal mining and enrichment for decades using innovative technologies for retrieving energy and other products during waste processing, as well as restructuring abandoned hous

There are numerous coal mines in Jincheng area. Reducing the excavation rate is of great significance [1,2]. The traditional long-arm mining method requires two tunnels to be excavated in one working face, and the coal pillars left for protecting the tunnels result in low coal recovery rate and serious problems of resource waste [3]. The top-pressure relief without coal pillars mining technology uses blasting pre-cracking to cut the roof, supports the old roof, and utilizes the roof collapse of the working face to form the mining tunnel for the next working face. Coal is the basic resource underpinning energy generation in China, however, constant, large-scale mining of coal results in many problems such as ecological destruction of mining areas. As a result, backfilling of solid waste underground is proposed to control strata and surface subsidence and to protect the environment. At present, these materials, such as granular material, cemented material and high-water-content materials are mainly used for backfilling. This study summarised the types of backfill materials that are used in coal mines in China along with the backfilling process. Moreover,

Most of these indicators are designed for determining technological properties with industrial use of coal in mind. Due to sufficient knowledge of the indicators used, industrial classifications are constantly being improved. The modern classification by genetic and technological parameters groups the coals by the grades based on ten indicators. Of these, only one - the mass yield of volatile substances during the thermal decomposition of coal - is used as the main in

The current intelligent construction of coal mines is inefficient. Considering the complexity and diversity of coal mine intelligent construction index factors, this paper proposes an intelligent coal mine construction evaluation model that integrates the fuzzy decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (FDEMATEL) and the analytical network process (ANP). In China, as a major resource, coal has made great contributions to national energy security and social development. The mining of coal resources can cause surface subsidence damage, and in particular, the mining of coal resources in thick loose layer mines is the most serious. How to accurately predict the surface subsidence caused by coal mining in thick loose layer mines has become an urgent problem to be solved. To solve this problem, numerical simulations based on the measured data were used to reveal that the thickness of the loose layer is the intrinsic mechanism that affects the value
