Resumen
Experimental excitation functions of isotopes produced in reactions p + natSi are compared with the results of nuclear reaction program TALYS 1.95 and semi-empirical cross section formulas. We consider excitation functions of 7 isotopes (28Mg, 26Al, 24,22Na, 18F and 10,7Be) produced in reactions at bombarding energies of 20-144 MeV. They are compared with the predictions of the code TALYS 1.95, the semi-empirical formulas of Silberberg-Tsao (code yieldx) and SPACS. Comparisons of the results of the code TALYS 1.95 and previously published results of code ALICE are made. The predictive power of code TALYS 1.95 may be questioned for reaction products with mass number very much smaller than the target and of semi-empirical formulas at lower energies.

Resumen
The nuclear reaction code TALYS adopts the Hauser-Feshbach statistical decay theory, to de-excite fission fragments. This involves for instance the evaporation of prompt fission neutrons and γ-rays. TALYS incorporates databases of primary fission fragment distribution which consists of primary fission fragment yield and data for excitation energy distribution of fission fragments. We conducted a sensitivity study on three parameters in TALYS and fitted them in order to reproduce experimental and evaluated data, in thermal neutron-induced fission of 235U. Moreover, we demonstrate a large-scale calculation of average prompt neutron and γ-ray multiplicities for 243 selected actinide isotopes.

Resumen
Isomeric ratios of isomeric pairs produced by photonuclear reactions (γ, n) on Se, Ce, Eu and Hg targets induced by bremsstrahlung with endpoint energies in the giant dipole resonance region have been theoretically calculated using TALYS 1.95 code in combination with Geant4 simulation. The computed isomeric ratios as a function of the bremsstrahlung endpoint energies in the range of 10 to 25 MeV resulted from convolution between calculated differential cross-sections using six level density models available in TALYS 1.95 and the bremsstrahlung spectra simulated by the GEANT4 toolkit. Moreover, for each level density model, eight gamma strength functions have been employed. The calculated results are compared to the experimental data in the existing literature for Talys 1.95 model evaluation.

Neutron induced 55Mn reactions are evaluated in the energy range 0.001 MeV to 40 MeV using TALYS 1.95 computer code. During this evaluation, local and global parameterisations of Koning and Delaroche are used in nuclear optical model. Comparisons were made with experimental data, collected from EXFOR and other sources. Some optical model parameters (OMP) were needed to be adjusted for better agreement between theoretical calculations and experimental findings. Various evaluated libraries such as ENDF, JENDL etc. are being checked and compared with our evaluation. TALYS evaluation shows better agreement when parameters were adjusted.

Resumen
This paper is aimed to calculate neutron induced fission cross section using TALYS nuclear reaction code by utilizing new fission barrier model parameter. The new fission barrier model is based on minimization method of action functional of deformed nucleus fission trajectory in configuration of space from ground state to the exit barrier. New fission barrier parameter that obtained from this new model will be fed into the TALYS code to calculate the fission cross section of Th-232 and U-238 through statistical method. The result shows a better agreement with ENDF data compared to that of ETFSI (Extended Thomas-Fermi and Strutinsky Integral) or Mamdouh model of fission barrier for energy between 2 and 10 MeV.

Resumen
Fission fragments exhibit large angular momenta J, which constitutes a challenge for fission models to fully explain. Systematic measurements of isomeric yield ratios (IYR) are needed for basic nuclear reaction physics and nuclear applications, especially as a function of mass number and excitation energy. One goal is to improve the current understanding of the angular momentum generation and sharing in the fission process. To do so, one needs to improve the modeling of nuclear de-excitation. In this work, we have used the TALYS nuclear-reaction code to relax excited fission fragments and to extract root-mean-square (rms) values of initial spin distributions, after comparison with experimentally determined IYRs. The method was assessed by a comparative study on 252Cf(sf) and 235U(nth,f). The results show a consistent performance of TALYS, both in comparison to reported literature values and to other fission codes. A few discrepant Jrms values were also found. The discrepant literature values could need a second consideration as they could possibly be caused by outdated models. Our TALYS method will be refined to better comply with contemporary sophisticated models and to reexamine older deduced values in literature.

Photofission cross-sections of 238,239,240,241,242,244Pu isotopes are theoretically investigated with the collective semi-classical Fermi gas model (CSCFGM) by using Talys computer code in the energy range 1 - 30 MeV. Nuclear level density has significant importance to define the structural properties of nuclei. CSCFGM is a nuclear level density model, that includes collective (rotational and vibrational) effects as well as the pairing and shell effects, and is used to analyse the (γ, f) reactions of plutonium isotopes. The experimental data for all reactions are taken from EXFOR library. The theoretical predictions are in agreement with the experimental data, Talys code without changing the input, and the evaluated nuclear cross-section data from TENDL 2021 library.

Resumen
Abstract The interaction of a nucleus with photons plays a key role in understanding a competition in nuclear reactions. The photon strength function (PSF) gives the average response of a nucleus to an electromagnetic probe. In this study, an estimation is performed of the mean resonance spacing and average radiative width of 22 nuclei in the range A = 46 – 90. The calculations for this analysis are done in TALYS. In addition, a machine-learning driven approach for determining experimentally obtained model parameters from the neutron/proton and mass number is given. A reasonable agreement within the uncertainties is achieved between the model dependent calculations, using TALYS, and results from random forest regression.

Resumen
The present study concerns the medical applications and production of 52Fe via the reaction 55Mn(p,4n)52Fe together with the reference reaction 27Al(p,x)22Na employed in cross section measurements. Experimental excitation functions from threshold up to 200 MeV are compared with the predictions of the TALYS 1.95 code and the semi-empirical formulas SPACS and Silberberg & Tsao. We obtained two TALYS parameter sets for the 55Mn(p,4n)52Fe and 27Al(p,x)22Na reactions which give a good description of the excitation functions for energies up to 85 MeV. Discrepancies observed at higher energies require further investigation. The semi-empirical formulas provide a good description of the excitation functions above 120 MeV.

Hauser–Feshbach Model was appointed in both codes for calculations of equilibrium approximations. Exciton and Hybrid Monte Carlo Simulation (HMS) models were used in the EMPIRE 3.2, whereas Two-Component Exciton and Geometry Dependent Hybrid Model, which is implemented to TALYS code, has been used in the TALYS 1.95 for pre-equilibrium reactions. Also, a weighting matrix of the nuclear models was obtained by using statistical variance analysis. The optimum beam energy to obtain [Formula: see text] has been determined by using the results obtained from this weighting matrix.

Resumen
Bremsstrahlung photon beam delivered by a linear electron accelerator has been used to experimentally determine the near threshold photonuclear cross section data of nuclides. For the first time, (γ,n) cross section data was obtained for the astrophysical important nucleus 162Er. Moreover, theoretical calculations have been applied using the TALYS 1.6 code. The effect of the gamma ray strength function on the cross section calculations has been studied. A satisfactorily reproduction of the available experimental data of photonuclear cross section at the energy region below 20 MeV could be achieved. The photon flux was monitored by measuring the photons yield from seven well known (γ, n) reactions from the threshold energy of each reaction up to the end-point energy of the photon beam used. An integrated cross-section 87 ± 14 mb is calculated for the photonuclear reaction 162Er(γ,n) at the energy 9.2 - 14 MeV. The effective cross section estimated using the TALYS code range between 89 and 96 mb depending on the γ-strength function used. The result for 162Er(γ,n), is found to be in good agreement with the theoretical values obtained by TALYS 1.6. So, the present indirect process could be a valuable tool to estimate the effective cross section of (γ,n) reaction for various isotopes using bremsstrahlung beams.

Resumen
In fusion reactors, radioactivity can be controlled by effective material selection. Material selection is always important for efficient conversion of radioactivity to electrical energy. The selection of structural materials provides more efficient use of these structural materials with the results obtained from nuclear reactions. Low activation materials not only high in structural material performance and longer life, but also minimize related problems. Iron is an important element in fusion reactor technologies and astrophysical applications. For this reason, we obtained the theoretical cross-section values of the 54Fe(α, n)57Ni reaction in the range of 5-15 MeV (Mega electron volt) in this study. TALYS 1.8 (nuclear model code system) and NON-SMOKER (computer code) were used for theoretical calculations. Astrophysical S-factor values describing reactions at low energies were also calculated. In addition, reaction rate values were calculated with TALYS 1.8 and compared with EXFOR (experimental nuclear reaction data).

Resumen
Nuclear data evaluation for fission cross section and fission yield had been performed by many investigators using different models of approximation theoretically. These models are encapsulated and implemented into computer codes to perform more robust nuclear reaction data calculations. TALYS is one of most successful nuclear reaction codes that used to determine fission cross section and fission yield. In this paper, TALYS code was used to calculate some fission reaction including Am-241 (n,f), Th-232 (n,f), and U-235 (n,f). These calculations are performed using different set of reaction mechanism and optical model parameter adjustment, such as fission barrier parameter, level density parameter, transmission mechanism, and so on. Reaction mechanism and parameter adjustment are selected based on reaction characteristics to obtain more accurate and reasonable result. The accuracy of calculation result are heavily depend on the reaction mechanism selection and parameter adjustment. All obtained results have been compared with ENDF nuclear data library.

Resumen
Recent progress of applied and fundamental researches in nuclear physics necessitates new neutron sources with highly improved intensity. For a few years at JINR (Dubna) the development of new neutron facilities that will replace the IBR-2 neutron pulsed research reactor, which will finish its activities in 2032, is carried on. Some projects use the fission process induced by neutrons in neptunium-based fuels. In the present research, we will study the neutron-induced fission of 237Np nucleus. The cross-section, mass distribution, yields of isotopes of interest, average number of emitted prompt neutrons, neutron fission spectra, and other parameters are obtained. The mathematical modeling is done partially by using the theoretical models implemented in Talys software (TALYS-1.2) and by computer codes realized by the authors. The presented results are compared with the available data and are of interest in the JINR projects for the design of new neutron facilities destined for researches.

Resumen
The well-known inputs for determining the reaction cross section are nuclear level density (NLD) and -ray strength functions. In this work, effects of -ray strength functions and NLD models on photoneutron reactions of 76,77,78Se isotopes are analyzed by using the latest version of TALYS computer code. For -ray strength functions, macroscopic and microscopic options which are available in the TALYS, are used in the calculations. Kopecky-Uhl and Brink Axel -ray strength function models as macroscopic options, Hartree-Fock BCS tables, Hartree-Fock Bogolyubov tables and Goriely’s hybrid model as microscopic options are preferred. The statistical analysis is carried out to determine the -ray strength function that reproduces the experimental data quite well. And then, calculations of photoneutron cross section are redone by using the determined -ray strength function via the NLD models. The Constant Temperature Model (CTM), Back Shifted Fermi Gas Model (BSFGM) and Generalized Superfluid Model (GSM) are preferred to use in NLD calculations. The predictions are compared with each other and the available experimental data. EXFOR library is used to take all experimental data.

Resumen
The generation of angular momentum in the fission process is still an open question. To shed light on this topic, we started a series of measurements at the IGISOL-JYFLTRAP facility in Finland. Highprecision measurements of isomeric yield ratios (IYR) are performed with a Penning trap, partly with the aim to extract average root-mean-square (rms) quantities of fragment spin distributions. The newly installed Phase-Imaging Ion-Cyclotron Resonance (PI-ICR) technique allows the separation of masses down to tens of keV, which is suffcient to disentangle many isomers. In this paper, we first summarize the previous measurements on the neutron and proton-induced fission of uranium and thorium, e.g. the odd cadmium and indium isotopes (119 ≤ A ≤ 127). The measurements revealed systematic trends as function of mass number, which stimulated further exploration. A recent measurement was performed at IGISIOL and several new IYR data will soon be published, for the first time. Secondly, we employ the TALYS nuclear-reaction code to model one of the newly measured isomer yields. Detailed GEF and TALYS calculations are discussed for the fragment angular momentum distribution in 134I.

Resumen
About 35 nuclides which lie on the neutron deficient side of the isotopic chart cannot be created by the two basic nucleosynthetic processes, the sand the rprocess. Due to scarce experimental data and the vast complexity of the reaction network involved, cross sections and reactions are estimated theoretically, using the Hauser–Feshbach statistical model. In the present work, theoretical calculations of cross sections of radiative α-capture reactions on the neutron–deficient Erbium and Xenon isotopes are presented in an attempt to make predictions inside the astrophysically relevant energy window (Gamow). The particular reactions are predicted to be sensitive branchings in the γprocess path. The most recent versions of TALYS (v1.9) and Fresco codes were employed for all calculations, initially focusing on investigating the influence of the default eight (8) α–nucleus optical potential models of TALYS on reaction cross sections. The theoretical results of both codes are compared and for the reactions where experimental data exist in literature, the optical model parameters were adjusted appropriately to best describe the data and were subsequently used for estimating (α,γ) reaction cross sections. Predictions for the (α,n) reaction channels have also been calculated and studied.

Resumen
The Indium-111 physical-decay parameters as a β-emitter radionuclide show some potential for radiodiagnostic and radiotherapeutic purposes. Medical investigators have shown that 111 In is an important radionuclide for locating and imaging certain tumors, visualization of the lymphatic system and thousands of labeling reactions have been suggested. The TALYS 1.0 code was used here to calculate excitation functions of 112/114–118 Sn+p , 110 Cd +3 He , 109 Ag +3 He , 111–114 Cd+p , 110/111 Cd+d , 109 Ag +α to produce 111 In using low and medium energy accelerators. Calculations were performed up to 200 MeV. Appropriate target thicknesses have been assumed based on energy loss calculations with the SRIM code. Theoretical integral yields for all the latter reactions were calculated. The TALYS 1.0 code predicts that the production of a few curies of 111 In is feasible using a target of isotopically highly enriched 112 Cd and a proton energy between 12 and 25 MeV with a production rate as 248.97 MBq·μA-1 · h-1. Minimum impurities shall be produced during the proton irradiation of an enriched 111 Cd target yielding a production rate for 111 In of 67.52 MBq· μA-1 · h-1.

Resumen
The 52gMn radionuclide is suitable for the innovative MultiModal Imaging technique, and in particular for a PET/MRI scan, due to its physical properties. The standard cyclotron-based production of 52gMn relies on the nuclear reaction NatCr(p,x)52gMn, but we have investigated theoretically the possibility of an alternative and competitive route, the reaction NatV(α,x)52gMn, which has not been considered for this purpose so far. By using the nuclear reaction code TALYS, we found some discrepancies between the theoretical calculations of the cross sections and the corresponding experimental data. Therefore we tuned the parameters governing the nuclear level densities in the microscopic models implemented in TALYS, thus improving the agreement with the data. Then, by studying the cross sections for 52gMn and its contaminants, we have identified an optimal energy window for the production of high purity 52gMn, around 40 MeV. We have also calculated the time evolution of the number of nuclei of the different Mn isotopes, for an irradiation in this energy window, finding that this route is expected to lead to a higher yield and Radionuclidic Purity with respect to the standard reaction with NatCr. The study suggests the reaction NatV(α,x)52gMn as a promising alternative route for the production of 52gMn.

Resumen
In this work, we apply a machine learning algorithm to the regression analysis of the nuclear cross-section of neutron-induced nuclear reactions of molybdenum isotopes, 92Mo at incident neutron energy around 14 MeV. The machine learning algorithms used in this work are the Random Forest (RF), Gaussian Process Regression (GPR), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The performance of each algorithm is determined and compared by evaluating the root mean square error (RMSE) and the correlation coefficient (R2). We demonstrate that machine learning can produce a better regression curve of the nuclear cross-section for the neutron-induced nuclear reaction of 92Mo isotopes compared to the simulation results using EMPIRE 3.2 and TALYS 1.9 from the previous literature. From our study, GPR is found to be better compared to RF and SVM algorithms, with R2=1 and RMSE =0.33557. We also employed the crude estimation of property (CEP) as inputs, which consist of simulation nuclear cross-section from TALYS 1.9 and EMPIRE 3.2 nuclear code alongside the experimental data obtained from EXFOR (1 April 2021). Although the Experimental only (EXP) dataset generates a more accurate cross-section, the use of CEP-only data is found to generate an accurate enough regression curve which indicates a potential use in training machine learning models for the nuclear reaction that is unavailable in EXFOR.
