Resumen
In the dissertation the influence of overheating of around 250oC above Tliq on the material reliability of AlSi17Cu5 cast alloy has been shown. On the basis of static tensile test, the following had been determined: HB hardness, tensile strength and yield strength for four, chosen technological variants. The results were the base to verify the thesis of compliance between tested feature arrangement and normal arrangement, and on this ground also material reliability determined with Weibull’s statistic arrangement had been defined. This parameter grasp the interdependence between lasting probability and chosen material property of the alloy.

Resumen
In the research we develop a waveguide beamforming arrangement for a monopulse frequency scanning antenna array. We study specifics of the sigma delta arrangement suggested and show the ways of eliminating its characteristic limitations. We consider some issues of structural and technological implementations. As a result, we propose the techniques for numerical analysis and parameter optimisation of the electrodynamic arrangement model.

Resumen
The aim of this research is to examine the adequacy of tools and teaching materials as well as physical and technological conditions in science classes according to the views of science teachers. To this end, qualitative research methods are designed according to phenomenological design. The sample of the research consists of 16 science teachers working in the academic year of 2017–2018 in Mugla province. Semi-structured interview techniques were used to analyze the collected data using descriptive analysis. According to research findings, most of the interviewed teachers stated that class size is appropriate. Teachers have emphasized that there are deficiencies in physical and technological conditions. Especially in some schools, it has been discovered that there are no labs, computers or Internet and interactive whiteboards. It was also determined that the teachers had classroom arrangement as a conventional fixed row arrangement for desks. There is little place in the learning-teaching process for posters, banners, and models. Keywords: Science, physical and technological conditions, tools.

Korea’s technological achievement in the thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) industry became possible primarily through a catch-up strategy in technological development. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses of the Korean TFT-LCD industry’s knowledge management, the researchers highlight the strategies that key Korean firms utilized to enable a successful technological catch-up. On a national level, patent citation information is analyzed to evaluate the Korean industry’s technological knowledge position compared to other Asian countries. Results from this analysis indicate that Korea plays a central role within the knowledge network, as evidenced by the highest centrality value. On a firm level, Samsung and LG Display are investigated in the areas of technological development and manufacturing strategies. Samsung and LG Display show strength in the technological specialization of devices’ arrangements/optical operation and arrangement/circuits of control indicating devices. In addition, these two firms show more diversification to allow for new business opportunities. By integrating quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze the TFT-LCD industry on national and firm levels, this research demonstrates the industry’s trajectory with depth and precision. In addition, this study contributes a meaningful strengthening of analysis methods in technological knowledge management and provides successful management factors for new latecomers in the industry.

Abstract Although the orthogonal systems are predominantly employed within modern technologies, some general systems can be found principally in nature. Progress in the field of nanotechnologies based on a condensed matter will reach its limit at a certain moment, which may be caused by material limits or limits of manufacturing technologies. This limitation will affect both approaches, the top-down as well as the bottom-up. Another way to obtain a nanostructure will be based purely on nature and its ability to grow, which requires a deep understanding of the world of biology. This natural approach is closely connected with a precise mathematical description which is necessary for employment of both the analytical and synthetic tools which are presently available within the frame of current technological methods. In this paper, we present an analysis of a model based on a spiral arrangement on a series of elements.

Coal mining at working areas of coal mines is a complex and multifaceted process causing a wide range of hazards for employees. Arrangement of work at working area is determined by many acts of legislation and regulatory acts in labour safety. The circumstances are likely to cause safety rules violation resulting in incident (emergency, safety incident). The study of such situations requires a forensic expert to be familiar with the proper methodological base of mining and engineering expert study. Aim of the paper: to develop a model of casual relation determining between safety incident occurrence and persons, whose action (inaction) resulted in incident preconditions during the technological process at working area. For reliable results obtaining the following methods were applied: analysis of acts of legislation and regulatory acts in labour safety, as well as engineering and logical analysis. Practical paper results consist in determining a group of persons, whose action (inaction) resulted in incident preconditions during the technological process at working area of coal mine, by forensic expert carrying out mining and engineering expert study by means of the model of casual relation. Considering the results of analysis of acts of legislation and regulatory acts in labour safety determining the requirements to the technological and project documents for working area with application of engineering and logical approach the model was developed for casual relation determining between safety incident occurrence and persons, whose action (inaction) resulted in incident preconditions during the technological process at working area. The model is helpful for determining the peculiarities of action (inaction) of persons being under the proper conditions in direct or indirect casual relation with an incident.

Many coal mines in Russia tend toward increasing their production output. Chernogorsky open pit mine, having expanded output by more than 30% for the last five years, is not exclusion. As output is increased whereas geological conditions complicate, technological parameters and production efficiency change. For example, in the open pit, percentage of overburden removal with direct dumping has greatly shrunk as against the truck-and-shovel system. In the meanwhile, the cost of stripping with the tuck-and-shovel system is much higher than in direct dumping by walking excavators. This article gives an analysis of technological parameters, open pit mining system parameters and stripping arrangement at the mine. The authors examine costs of stripping machinery maintenance and compare specific capacities of equipment in use. The modeling results on further increase in productivity of the open pit mine and in capacity of walking excavators are presented with the calculated optimized height of bench for stripping with direct dumping. The reserves available to increase stripping efficiency lie, in the authors’ opinion, in the system of resource allocation for equipment operability maintenance and personnel motivation.

This article analyses the use of cyclic-flow technology schemes with mobile crushing and reloading complexes in open cast mining. An analysis of the application of cyclic-flow technology schemes with mobile crushing and reloading complexes in open cast mining shows that the main directions of its radical improvement are the development, creation and implementation of fundamentally new mining transport equipment and technological schemes for its quarries, which include: “mobile excavators crushing and transhipment plants and conveyor systems". Technological schemes for the development of rocks with an end arrangement of mobile complexes using a single bucket excavator and conveyor transport, with an end arrangement of mobile complexes and an increased width of the working platform during conveyor transport, with an end arrangement of mobile complexes and the presence of a mobile interstage loading crane with sequential mining at three horizons, a methodology has been developed for determining the working time and annual productivity of mobile crushing and handling conveyor complexes and a new technological scheme for the development of overburden ledges using mobile crushing and handling conveyor complexes. To reduce the time for idling the complex and reduce the number of exit ledges, a new technological scheme for the development of overburden ledges with the use of mobile complexes is recommended. As a result of the calculations according to the developed method, when working out two benches with different block lengths, the dependence of the annual productivity of the complex on the block length was established.

The current military and political situation in the world raises the necessity of use by Russia of all existing tools to counter actions targeted against it. Participation of the country in international export control regimes, including the Wassenaar Arrangement (the WA), is one of these tools. Membership in the WA allows to Russia to maintain its international status, to contribute to strengthening of international stability, to ensure the non-targeting of this forum against the country, to participate in the development of decisions affecting its interests. Participation in the WA is also important from the view of modernizations of Russian economy towards transition to a new technological mode accompanied by emergence of new groups of innovative products and modification of existing ones. Control of crossing the country's borders by dual-use goods and services is one of conditions for carrying out their export. The Wassenaar Arrangement was established in 1995 to replace COCOM in order to contribute to regional and international security and stability. A huge work is carried out within the forum aimed at enhancing control over transfers of conventional weapons and high-tech dual-use goods. Russian export control system fully meets requirements of international export control regime, including the WA, and effectively functions. Export of the controlled goods from Russia or their transfer to foreign individuals and legal entities are possible only on the basis of decisions of the Export control Commission of the Russian Federation. The dilemma between the need to support exporters by reducing administrative barriers and the ensuring security interests of the country gain momentum in current stage of scientific-and-technological advance development.

Resumen
Properly designed and implemented specialized storage objects guarantee specialist storing of the discussed group of agricultural products. They make independent the whole process of storage, improving and the trade of goods from conditions of the outside climate. Storage spaces and cold stores are currently a highly specialized group of objects of the food industry infrastructure. The program of the designed object constitutes the basis for the forming of its functional arrangement and the form of the object. In the storage building it is subordinate to the technology and the functional and spatial arrangement of the building follows the arrangement of the technological thrust. The object being a casing of the technological process of storing should form a possibly closed and tight microclimatic space and the building partition system along with an air-conditioning units should enable to keep adequate parameters of the interior microclimate on a particular level. The factors of the microclimate influencing the storage conditions are: temperature, relative humidity of air, gas composition of the atmosphere surrounding agricultural products and the air movement in the storage space.

Polygyny is widely practiced across Dhofar reflecting the resiliency of Islamic family law. However, as the country is accommodating transnational influences polygynous marital arrangements are undergoing changes. Drawing on qualitative data collected within a large-scale quantitative study comprising a sample of 1,192 respondents on polygyny in Dhofar 2004–2010, the entanglements between religious mores on and cultural practices of polygyny are discussed through individual case-work analysis. First, it is argued that polygynous marriage remains a pragmatic arrangement in the context of tribal relationships. Second, the tension in redefining gender roles is manifest primarily in this marital arrangement. Third, through cultural flow and technological, economic, and educational changes, re-interpretation of mating strategies are encompassing a slow shift from pragmatism to romanticism. The digital nature of communications and cultural identity acquisition in the twenty-first century continues to influence and guide the manifestations of change presented by the data that show the small but vital steps being made by men and women that are redefining and reinterpreting polygyny and society as a whole.

A novel in-plane sensitive Hall arrangement consisting of two identical n-Si three-contact (3C) elements and realized in a common technological process, is presented. In the solution, the minimization of the offset and its temperature drift is achieved by cross-coupling of the outer device contacts. This terminals’ connection provides equalizing currents between the two substrates which strongly compensate the inevitable difference in the electrical conditions in the two parts of the arrangement. As a result, the residual offset of both integrated Hall elements at the output Vout(0) and its temperature drift are strongly minimized. The residual offset is about 160 times smaller than the single-configuration one. The obtained output voltage-to-residual offset ratio at sensitivity of SRI ≈ 98 V/AT is very promising, reaching 6 × 103 at temperature T = 40 °C and induction 1 T. As a result, increased metrological accuracy for numerous applications is achieved. For a first time through the novel arrangement a suppression of sensitivity in the presence of external magnetic field could be achieved in order to obtain permanent offset information. This is one of the key results in the Hall device investigation.

Organizational and technological solutions have been developed for the production of the underground part of a capital construction facility on weak and aquiferous soils in extremely cramped conditions. The main technological operations for the arrangement of protective measures are considered. The following tasks were formulated and solved: - rational anti-landslide activities were defined; - ways to preserve the performance properties of existing buildings and structures were defined; - technological solutions to strengthen the soil array of foundations and foundations of closely located buildings and structures are proposed; - a rational way to develop the soil in the pit is proposed.

Purpose. Perform a comparative analysis of drill and injection (jet-grouting) and drill and mixing technologies of micropiles arrangement of weak soil bases with the identification of technological features that significantly effect on the design and calculation of weak soil bases strengthening. Methodology. To solve this problem, was conducted of the detailed analysis of the most effective methods of micropiles arrangement during the strengthening of weak soil bases (physical immersion, bored and packing of concrete, drill and injection of ground, drill and mixing soils and application of special effects). Peculiarities of technological parameters of jet-grouting and drill and mixing technologies are considered in detail. The advantages and disadvantages of each of the technologies are revealed. It is proved that the drill and mixing technology has a greater degree of prediction of the stress-strain state change of the inhomogeneous base. To determine the influence of deformation characteristics, a spatial finite-element model based on a flat prototype was created, which was built using automatic triangulation of the professional calculation complex SCAD. Findings. A significant reduction of the deformed state at an almost constant stress state is obtained. When the deformation characteristic increases by 3 times (the ratio of the modulus of elasticity of the soil cement pile and the weak soil), the vertical displacements of the foundation decrease by 1.23 times. Originality. It consists in obtaining the dependence of the change of vertical displacements and stresses on the modulus of elasticity of the soil cement micropile, created on the basis of drill and mixing technology. Practical value. It consists in the obtained results of comparative analysis of substantiation of micropile installation drill and mixing technology during strengthening of weak soil bases with definition of technological features and choice of drill and mixing as the most effective variant from the point of view of technology realization.

To improve the treatment accuracy by on-line correction of the paths of the executive working parts (EWP) the authors study the processes of loading, deformation and arrangement deviation of the elements of the manufacturing systems (MS) under the changes of the cutting force components in the process of turning on machine-tools equipped with CNC systems of PCNC class. Estimation of the values of the technological components of the cutting force Px, Py, Pz is based on the phenomenon of arrangement deviation Δωi of the elements monitoring the servo drives of machine tools. To determine the compliance of the deviation magnitude Δwi with the technological components of the cutting force Px, Py a diagnostic subsystem was developed, involving the loading devices and dynamometric equipment. The diagnostic system is controlled through PCNC with the application of a specially developed hardware-software system. The data on changes in the values Px, Py and the respective changes in the attitude misalignment parameters in servo drives at various EWP minute feeds in CNC machine tools were determined by prior diagnosis of load characteristics servo drives, registered in the PCNC. So, the data of cutting force components Px, Py compliance with arrangement error ratios ΔωXп, ΔωZп. were established.

Resumen
The proposed device is referred to building sphere. Its oriented to strengthening of reinforced concrete hollow fl oor slab, damaged due to diff erent reasons including fi re or technological accident. Possible results of this device using are: signifi cant increase of strength and rigidity of fl oor slabs; signifi cant increase of real fi re-resistance of slabs; smooth unloading of damaged slab; regulation of unloading amount of reinforced slab. This proposed device is simple in design, its characterized by economy in using, negligeable restraint of operating envelope in altitude. Strengthening of reinforced fl oor slab does not require starting dimensions changes; steel is economize in mass and cut because of more strength reinforcement rods. Labor is saving.

Resumen
The problems of scientific and technological support of the geological exploration industry are considered. The factors affecting the replenishment and expansion of the mineral base of Kazakhstan and some other countries are analyzed. The need for the scientific and technological development compliance with the global scientific trend (cross-disciplines, mathematization and digitalization areas) is emphasized. The main difficulties related to forecasting of concealed ore deposits as well as methodological, physical and geological aspects of these activities are considered. A basic model of ore formation is proposed and the mutual spatial arrangement of ore deposits is analyzed. The concept of constructing an information geological space model (GSM) is considered. The prospective directions of developing the technology for concealed deposits forecasting are shown.

Abstract In this work we present the design and the manufacturing processes, as well as the acoustics standardization tests, of an acoustic barrier formed by a set of multi-phenomena cylindrical scatterers. Periodic arrangements of acoustic scatterers embedded in a fluid medium with different physical properties are usually called Sonic Crystals. The multiple scattering of waves inside these structures leads to attenuation bands related to the periodicity of the structure by means of Bragg scattering. In order to design the acoustic barrier, two strategies have been used: First, the arrangement of scatterers is based on fractal geometries to maximize the Bragg scattering; second, multi-phenomena scatterers with several noise control mechanisms, as resonances or absorption, are designed and used to construct the periodic array. The acoustic barrier reported in this work provides a high technological solution in the field of noise control.

Resumen
This paper describes an analytical approach based on a non-conventional ecological perspective to evaluate the quality of technological innovation projects. The approach is semi-qualitative and focuses on aspects of cooperation in projects and companies with favorable conditions regarding technological advancement and learning maturity, highlighting contributions of these aspects to the sustainability of R&D projects. Moreover, it considers the multidimensionality of a project in order to classify how its innovations align with sustainable principles, in terms of balancing the needs of all stakeholders. Beyond technology, the multiple dimensions associated to a project and its impacts comprise, for example, the economic, social, human and environmental spheres; similarly to the arrangement of forces for survival and evolution in comprehensive ecosystems, hence the allusive use of the term “extended ecological perspective”. Complexity theory and interrelation of the concepts of sustainability, cooperation, learning and multidimensionality underlie this analytical approach of innovations resulting from R&D efforts.

Disk-type spherical working tools are widely used in soil-cultivating machines, where they serve as an element base for combined units and disk harrows, including the multi-row ones with disks on individual racks. The tools are used in the implementation of traditional technologies based on reversible plowing, with surface tillage after late-harvested predecessors, for example, corn, sunflower, and also in NO-TIL technologies. (Research purpose) To determine the arrangement of working tools on the disk harrow frame, which reduces the required number of disks and improves the quality of soil cultivation. (Materials and methods) The authors have analyzed the arrangement of disk harrow working tools and determined their rational arrangement and mutual positions in the rows, which increases the tillage width between adjacent soil strips, thus improving the completeness of soil shearing and loosening over the entire operating width with simultaneous decreasing of the required number of disks. (Results and discussion) The authors have determined the interrelated arrangement of disks in their rows, aimed at improving soil shearing, so that the number of strips tilled into a ridge by adjacent disks increases. It has been shown that the arrangement of working tools of the consecutive row determined by the orientation of the adjacent disks of the previous row, allows to economize one working tool for every 400 mm of its operating width when shearing the soil all the way across the entire width of the disk harrow. (Conclusions) It has been established that when soil is tilled with a disk and moved toward the already processed adjacent strip, the technological width of the disk coverage increases due to the deformation of soil tearing and shearing. The authors have proposed the arrangement order of spherical disks and their mutual orientation, which improves the quality of soil cultivation, the completeness of soil shearing along the entire operating width, and leads to a reduction in the number of disks.

Three-dimensional fabrics have an enormous potential for the manufacturing of semi-finished products in a direct preforming procedure for fiber-reinforced materials. The production of these three-dimensional fabrics involves the processing of coarse reinforcing yarns with high warp density. However, conventional weaving looms have not been designed for such applications, and their maximal achievable warp yarn density is therefore severely limited. Friction and clamping between warp yarns impede the shedding process, and fragments of damaged or fibrillated fibers interfere with the weaving process. Most of the solutions for these issues, which has been presented so far, are based on noncommercial technologies or require extensive modification on standard weaving machines. Hence this paper proposes a new shedding method based on double flat steel heddles, which is suitable for the use in conventional weaving looms. The paper gives a detailed description of the new shedding method including the required materials and the technological framework. Furthermore, a suitable algorithm for the fast pattern conversion under consideration of the special technological framework and requirements of the shedding is presented.

Modern sanitary sewage systems, which apply traditional methods of sewage water treatment, not always can provide acceptable quality of treated waters for their environmentally safe discharge into water bodies. In addition, applied methods of sewage sludge utilization, which are produced during treatment processes, lead to substantial negative influence on environment. All of these things result in appearance of ecological risks, related to functioning of sewage systems. Because of this, there is a necessity for additional sewage water treatment and for improvement sewage sludge utilization methods. Virtues and shortcomings of modern methods of sewage water aftertreatment and sewage sludge utilization are analyzed in this paper. There is proposed a new arrangement of a sanitary sewage system. The system applies sewage water aftertreatment in photobioreactors by using the water as environment for energy microalgae cultivation and producing liquid biofuel of the third generation out of them. It also applies sewage sludge digestion in anaerobic installations with producing methane enriched biogas, environmentally safe organic fertilizer and carbon dioxide. There is also proposed to utilize carbon dioxide in photobioreactors for providing the process of photosynthesis. Bibl. 18, Fig. 1.

The comparative characteristic of productivity and nutritional value of the pasturable herbs located at different heights above sea level in Haymash natural boundaries, Aursentkh, Nizhny Novgorod the Dagger is carried out. The efficiency and botanical composition of herbage depends on vertical zonality and an arrangement of expositions. It is studied influence of fitotsenoz of mountain fodder grounds on milk efficiency of cows, quality, technological properties and economic efficiency of production of milk. Pasturage of cows on the raznotravnykh mountain pastures promotes increase in milk efficiency, quality of milk and dairy products. Production of milk on mountain pastures is effective, the level of profitability is 40 % and more. Content of milk fat and white is higher than standard requirements.

Introduction. Machines for harvesting roots and onions do not provide qualitative indices of root heap separation that leads to violation of technical requirements during harvesting. New solutions are needed to increase the quality of root separation, increase the quality of separation and reduce damage. Materials and Methods. The article presents the design of the onion set harvesting machine. The machine is equipped with a bar elevator with asymmetrical arrangement of shakers. The technique and results of field research to determine the quality of set onion separation at the experimental rod elevator are described. Results. The results of production research of the onion set harvesting machine showed qualitative performance of the technological process of separating onion heap at optimal values of parameters: center distance between elliptical shaker and supporting roller 0.36-0.4 m at full separation of 97.0-97.2% and onion damage 1.65-1.68%; forward speed of rod elevator with asymmetrical arrangement of elliptical shaker and supporting roller 1.6 m/s at full separation of 98.5% and bulb damage 1.3%. Discussion and Conclusion. The use of a bar elevator with an asymmetrical arrangement of the elliptical shaker and support roller allows, in comparison with the symmetrical arrangement of shakers, an increase in bulb separation by 2.0% and a decrease in onion damage by 1.1%.

Irrigation is an essential element of agricultural production whose absence would create great economic hardship in many regions of the global South. Yet irrigated agriculture uses 70% of global fresh water withdrawals, putting major pressure on global water resources. Whilst much research has focused on technological solutions to improve irrigation efficiency, irrigation water governance arrangements remain poorly investigated. This paper examines the irrigation water governance arrangements in place in the Canale Emiliano Romagnolo (CER) district in Italy. The objective is to understand key factors driving or hindering irrigation efficiency, and to identify context-relevant policy-making dynamics that could enable greater efficiency. The analysis is conducted following the Policy Arrangement Approach, which describes a policy domain in terms of actors, rules, resources and discourses, and identifies opportunities for change in the interplay of these dimensions. Findings suggest that the existing governance arrangements have led to improvements in irrigation efficiency over the past decades in the CER district. Key factors of this performance include public financial investment in research and farm modernization, the existence of local capacity building and social capital, and the presence of a public–private organization with capacity to raise resources and to generate and transfer knowledge to both policy-makers and farmers.

Fiber is a new and efficient water treatment and environmental protection material. The key to improve the filtration efficiency of fiber materials is that water pass through the fiber bed, the porous structures of fiber in-depth bed is controlled by the internal construction, fiber arrangement, and fiber zigzag degree. This study presented a method to improve the removal capacity of fiber filtration materials. There are three kinds of porous structures discovered here: Tubular water passage hole (T-pass), Curvilinear water passage hole (C-pass), Labyrinth water passage hole (L-pass). The T-pass let water more easily go through but less sediment and rush strongly off suspensions deposit on the surface of filter materials. The L-pass has resistance to flow and suspension intend to deposit at backside area of filter materials, where not advantage to rush but sediment easily. The function of C-pass is between that of T-pass and L-pass. The experiment shows that C-pass filter bed is the idea structure which can be increased the efficiency of 5-10 times than others.

The use of narrow plant spacing in corn (Zea mays) has been suggested as a technological alternative to obtain grain yield increases, due to a better use of resources. The regular pattern could diminish intraspecific competition while favoring interspecific competition with weeds. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of corn row spacing on weed aboveground biomass and corn grain yield. Field experiments were conducted during 2002/2003 and 2003/2004 growing seasons. Three corn hybrids with two-row width (0.70 and 0.35 m) were tested. A greater photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) interception with a lower weed aboveground dry matter in narrow row arrangement was obtained. Corn grain yield was greater in the narrow row arrangement than in the wide row spacing. This increase in grain yield was related to a better resource use that allows for a reduced interspecific competition. The use of reduced spatial arrangement appeared to be an interesting alternative to increase both the grain yield potential and corn suppressive ability against weeds in corn dryland production systems.

Paper presents a method of calculating the temperature distribution in cylinder for a 2-stroke, opposed-piston (OP) internal combustion engine (ICE). Development of such machines has been very limited after World War II due to technological and ecological problems [9], therefore progress in numerical modeling for analyzing highly boosted OP engines was also halted. Current technology permits returning to the OP arrangement, where due to better combustion chamber shape it is potentially possible to achieve higher thermodynamic efficiency than in arrangement with the cylinder head [9, 10]. Authors decided to use a general purpose CFD-program (in this case Ansys Fluent) coupled with additional tools to calculate conjugated heat transfer between the load in the cylinder and the cylinder itself to get a 3D temperature distribution in solid body.

At present, in large cities, cities - millionaires, there is a tendency to build a large volume of residential multi-storey buildings entertainment complexes on undeveloped, free from construction areas of urban territory To meet the food needs of the population, it becomes necessary to create large livestock complexes. Ukraine, having a significant natural resource, has created conditions for the arrival of large international investors. That’s why in recent years, there is a renewal of material and technical agricultural base, which contributes to the revival of almost abandoned in the 90s, one of the main activities and specialization of our country - agriculture, which allows to assure the needs of the population and industry of our and neighboring countries with quality organic products and materials. In such conditions, modernization, renewal, re-equipment of not only outdated, inefficient equipment, but also production processes, and as a consequence of buildings, structures, complexes. This leads to the emergence of new engineering objects, classification, features of construction, design and operation of which need to be studied, covered in the literature, taken into account at different stages of their operation. "Lagoons" is one of such objects. This publication presents the main definition of a special agricultural building - lagoon, presents their classification by various parameters: location, depth, shape and size in plan, in terms of interaction with the environment, by material. The main technological processes influencing the design, construction and operation of lagoons are given. The basic requirements to materials (geotextiles, geomembrane), and also the basic requirements to their storage, use and the device at creation of waterproof screens at construction of lagoons are reflected.

The International Space Station (ISS) is the largest object in the earth’s orbit and currently the only environment that harbors human life outside the planet. This habitable satellite operates as a sophisticated scientific laboratory and is a complex and costly technological endeavor in expanding our extraplanetary presence. The ISS constitutes a unique living space—a sociotechnical arrangement that encloses humans and nonhumans in a highly regulated and experimental setting that anticipates the orbital order of terrestrial ways of life. This article draws upon Michel Foucault’s work on power and space to frame the ISS as a form of “heterotopia” and explore it as a site in which technologically inflected inscriptions of the human incubate distinct material and social relations. It suggests that these orbital effects configure the practices underpinning the strategic spatialization of life and its governance beyond the globe.

An original methodological approach to the implementation of procedures for generating and analyzing initial data on the designed complex is proposed, based on their iterative repetition as the number of reliable characteristics of the complex is refined and increased. It is demonstrated that replacement of data on technology of manufacture of products of a pre-set nomenclature with values of the labor intensity of the annual volume of their issue in separate groups according to the types of technological equipment makes it hard to determine its rational arrangement and leads to unjustified transport links and significant traffic capacity. The proposed approach allows forming groups of similar technological parts as production programs for the sections making part of the designed complex.

In an effort to achieve increased cocoa production in Nigeria, a number of initiatives were introduced towards increasing yields with the aim of reviving the old glory of cocoa and make it an engine of Nigerian economy. Despite this, farmers still produce below expected cocoa production figure due to conditions associated with their farmland. Tenure insecurity hindered acceptability of the established initiatives since majority of the farmers in the cocoa industries areholding the farmland in possession through different arrangements which provide the legal and normative framework within which all agricultural as well as other economic activities are conducted. On this note, this study aims to investigate the effects of tenure arrangement on adoptionof CRTs. Result shows that respondents were mostly males, Christians, members of CFAN with mean age of 59.0+10.18 with average household size of 8 people, cultivating an average farm size of 17.38 acres, obtained mostly through different tenural patterns and scattered in different locations.Findings further reveals that age, membership to CFAN and tenure arrangement had significant relationship with adoption of cocoa rehabilitation techniques. And also, there was significant, difference in the perception, as well as adoption of selective tree replanting, planting under old cocoa trees, chupon regeneration, coppicing, gapping up between tenant farmers and farm owners at p=0.05. Cocoa industry is mostly populated with tenant farmers who had unfavourable perception about cocoa rehabilitation resulting in low adoption rate due to challenge of insecurity of tenure.Thus, there is need for development of technological packages that meet the need of different categories of farmers based on their respective tenure. Also there is the need for securing land-use rights through improved tenancy arrangements to better meet the interests of small, tenant.

Resumen
The article considers the possible ways to optimize the technological solutions of the recharge and boron control system of nuclear power plants under construction within the AES-2006 project. The possibilities for optimization of technological solutions of the system of recharge and boron regulation of the AES-2006 project, which will not affect the reliability and efficiency of its main functions: purge-recharge of the primary circuit and boron regulation, were studied. As a result of the analysis of technological solutions and analytical calculations carried out during the work, it was found that in the system of recharge and boron regulation of the NPP within the project AES-2006 it is possible to perform optimization basing on reduction the metal content of the heat exchange equipment by reducing the surface area of the heat exchangers of the coolant outlet, reducing the power of pumps, as well as reducing the diameter of a number of main pipelines. Implementation of the proposed optimization of technological solutions will allow a more rational arrangement of the system and reduce capital costs for the construction of nuclear power plants as a whole, while not adversely affect the safety of the system and its functions.

The multiplicity of causal relationships as a functions of the response of the physical processes and the environmental influences are realized by means of providing of service functions of mechanical engineering products. This provides the evolution of quality indicators of the product in its Life Cycle and the formation of the conditions for physical and moral wear of products and machines. Rational management of technological inheritability of material properties of machine products to provide their operational characteristics and reliability indicators by means of the synergetic approach is a methodological basis for the design of advanced technological processes of products manufacturing. Technological providing of standart quality indicators of products is realized by a limited number of rational variants of relations between the product and the technological environment using necessary number of stable connections. The choice of rational optimization criteria to solve the technological problems, in particular, the calculation of allowances for workpieces machining, at the substages of design and technological preparation provide the necessary initial parameters of products and their operational characteristics during manufacturing and assembly. It also allows to predict the behavior of products and machines at the operation stage of their Life Cycles. A method of choosing a rational allowance for surfaces treatment of castings, taking into account the technological inheritability of material properties was studied. Traditional methods of the allowance determining during products machining are analyzed. Technological damageability as a criterion for optimization in solving technological problems is proposed. The LM–hardness method used to select the allowance for the treatment of functional surfaces of the product is presented. Technological providing of the experimental researches is described. Rational values of the allowances for processing of aluminium alloy flat workpiece are 4–7 mm as a result of experimental researches depending on an arrangement of stress concentrators. The directions of further researches are determined.

The author emphasizes the critical nature of technological transformations for shaping the future of the human civilization. His analysis focuses on changes in the economy and society, on engineering a vision of the future order (economic and social) and developing tools for the transition to a fair and reasonable living arrangement. The article considers causes of the global systemic crisis and emphasizes that the economic model of societal development which is based on the paradigm of market, ownership and priority role of profit has exhausted itself. The author considers the following alternative: the strategy for transitioning to a qualitatively new state of society – to the noonomy through the new industrial society of the second generation. Four resultant vectors bear fundamental importance for the noo-transition: (1) scientific and technological progress, (2) diffusion of ownership, (3) socialization of society and the development of human noo-qualities, (4) solidarity.

In the first of a two-part article, the author examines the negotiated order that formed around the early conception of the purpose and function of archival classification and arrangement. Drawing from the literature that covers the first sixty years of the development of the American archival profession, the article reveals the historical, social, economic, and technological forces, as well as the specific professional circumstances and interests, in which these principles and processes emerged. In doing so, archival classification is presented as an infrastructural tool that is available for, and understandable to, members of the profession. The picture that emerges is one in which notions of classification and arrangement are emblematic of the profession's identity and aspirations, associated with certain configurations of bureaucracy and technology, embodied in tacit and stated knowledge, accomplished and materialized through experiential practice, yet ever emergent and contested in response to changing social and political realities.

Distribution of gasses to the cast volume and volume of pores can be maintained within the acceptable limits by means of correct setting of technological parameters of casting and by selection of suitable structure and gating system arrangement. The main idea of this paper solves the issue of suitability of die casting adjustment—i.e., change of technological parameters or change of structural solution of the gating system—with regards to inner soundness of casts produced in die casting process. Parameters which were compared included height of a gate and velocity of a piston. The melt velocity in the gate was used as a correlating factor between the gate height and piston velocity. The evaluated parameter was gas entrapment in the cast at the end of the filling phase of die casting cycle and at the same time percentage of porosity in the samples taken from the main runner. On the basis of the performed experiments it was proved that the change of technological parameters, particularly of pressing velocity of the piston, directly influences distribution of gasses to the cast volume.
