This article focuses on the figure of Aisyah as the wife of the Prophet and the author of the Hadith. In the midst of this position raises the fundamental question of what the story of her relationship with the Prophet is, whether as a romantic wife or not. So did the Prophet's attitude towards him. To answer this problem, this study tries to read the historical hadiths of Aisyah, whether the romance between the two is reflected in what she narrated. This study used library research with the help of pc software 'Gawami' al-Kalim' and searched using the keyword 'Aisyah'.

The Term of Ahl a-Bayt According to the Shiite Adn Sunnite ExegetesIn the Qur'an the phrase of ahl al-bayt (the people of the house) occurs three times. Once in sura 33:73, applied to the house of Ibrahim; the second passage, 33:33 ("God only wants to remove from you all might be loathsome, O you members of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you to utmost purity"), serves as the proof-text for its application to the house of Muhammad. The third passage, 28:12, applied to the house of Moses. The precise interpretation of the term in 33:33, gave rise to differences of opinion. Among

The interpretation of Qur'an 66:4 relates to our understanding of events in the Prophet's household in the early Medinan period. Traditionally, exegetes have tended to interpret this verse as a reprimand to the wives of the Prophet, their interpretation resting on their understanding of the meaning of ṣaghw. Two South Asian scholars of this century, cAbd al-Hamīd al-Farāhī and Amīn Aḥsan Iṣlāhī, have questioned this traditional interpretation. In their interpretation, they accord primacy to the Qur'anic text, reading this in the light of classical Arabic usage and attestations form jāhilī poet

AbstractThere is a strong correlation between a restrictive view on women’s clothing as detailed in Chap. 10.1007/978-3-030-83582-8_16 and a restrictive view on women’s participation in public life. Combined with the jurists’ extending of the “elite” rules applicable only to the Prophet’s wives to all women while re-interpreting them to boot, this leaves women in many societies with too little room in public life. This also runs contrary to the historical evidence of women’s natural and proactive involvement in society.

The Stepford Wives is much more than a fictional text. It is an important socio-cultural document, marking a particular point in the history of feminist politics in the US. It is lexicon: the phrase Stepford wife has sustained cultural currency as a signifier for a particular kind of one-dimensional, privileged woman. It is prophetic, foretelling of what has been described as a backlash against feminism, and the more recent development of real-world sex robots. It is relational, existing in conjunction with historical and future imaginings about artificial women more broadly. This introductory

Resumen
The chapter examines the figure of Umm Salama, one of the Prophet’s wives who is lauded in the Shiʿi tradition for her devotion to the ahl al-bayt, the Prophet’s descendants. Umm Salama plays a key role in establishing the legitimate succession of ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib to the position of leadership of the Muslim community, as well as subsequent successions. Her case is one of many instances in which the women associated with the ahl al-bayt play a vital part in preserving the naṣṣ or explicit designation of a successor that guaranteed the proper unfolding of the historical Imamate.

Abstract The Wives of the Prophet Muḥammad (azwāj al-nabī), also known as the Mothers of the Believers (ummahāt al-mu’minīn), loom large in the traditional biography of Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh, and these female figures occupy an important role in the foundational phase of Islam. They also continued to hold importance for subsequent debates and polemics in early Islamic history, society and politics—even if through contested, refracted, and fragmented lenses. This chapter analyzes these women as Wives, and less as the Mothers of the Believers, since undoubtedly these two different sobriquets, t
