Resumen
Some of today's most successful Internet entrepreneurs didn't graduate from college. Many young people today followed the same path to pursue their dreams however ended up failing, not a surprise because 80% of the startups fail in first 5 years. As technology innovation and market competition on Internet continue to accelerate, college students need guidance and support more urgently now than ever before. Meanwhile most entrepreneurship programs offered in colleges and universities provide only general strategy-innovation-finance guidance for broad entrepreneurship while lack concentration on online startups or connection to Internet technology. We proposed a technology-business-environment model that could help guide universities in nurturing, building, and shaping their students' dreams and goals towards creating a successful Internet startup business. Finally, we demonstrated a course outline for an Internet entrepreneurship course designed for undergraduate students. Such course can be used as a core course in an entrepreneurship program or an elective course in Information Systems (IS), other sub-disciplines of computing programs, or business programs.

Resumen
Background:Fundoscopy is viewed as a difficult or impossible task by many students and physicians. We have used a novel seven-step approach to teach trainees to use the ophthalmoscope. The technique is based on the premise that success is most easily achieved if the necessary motor skills are mastered first. A step by step approach will enable others to teach their trainees to attain the ability to routinely view the fundi of their pediatric patients. Methods:Step 1 involves examination of the trainee’s fundi to ensure there is no impediment to their success. In Step 2 the student examines the teacher. This identifies major errors. The next step teaches the trainee how to hold the ophthalmoscope. Step 4 gets the learner to read a journal article through the ophthalmoscope. In Step 5 they examine the teacher’s eyes again and with a little help they are always successful. In the last two steps an older patient is first examined and finally the student examines a young child. Conclusion:This method differs from most other approaches by leaving the cognitive component of ophthalmoscopy until the student is comfortable with handling the instrument. It has been uniformly successful among our students and residents.

Resumen
Advocating the Ultra Micro-lending concept of Indonesia's Ministry of Finance in 2017 was a tumultuous nine-year process. The present paper aims to examine the Ultra Micro-lending (UMi) program conducted by the Ministry of Finance of Republic of Indonesia using Advocacy Coalition Framework. This paper showed that Advocacy Coalition Framework could moderate the interest groups' disagreement through seven steps as follows. First, relatively stable parameters of poverty need alleviation using better financial access with empowerment. Second, the external system is inspired by Grameen Bank as the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Third, removing constraints and resources of subsystem actors from the internal Ministry of Finance and the Parliaments. Fourth, creating consensus for getting the Ministry of Bureaucratic Reform's permit. Fifth, policy subsystem that coalesces the need of market-rate and subsidized rate to cater to 46.7 million grassroots entrepreneurs as a 'win-win' arrangement to complement the bank-based People's Business Credit (KUR). Sixth, policy outputs as the legal product of the UMi with a 7 Trillion State budget. Seventh, policy impact's measurement after one year piloting before UMi's scaling up. This paper has a significant contribution to enhancing the efficacy of UMi program, and as a continuous effort to ensure the economic development of the country.

Resumen
The development of renewable energy producers in rural areas creates new job opportunities for the countryside population. The decentralized manner of renewable energy in small cities is one of the ways how to meet the rural and small scale energy needs in a reliable, affordable and environmentally sustainable way. In 2010, the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague has finished the participation in the European IEE project RES COMPASS. In mutual cooperation, with seven partners from the Great Britain, France, Spain, Greek and Finland, the University has been involved in the extensive research concerning the impact of the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) on the future European labour market. The RES COMPASS project meets the objectives expressed by the New Skills for New Jobs Initiative of the EU and stressed also other initiatives, namely the Green Jobs Initiative, the UNEP initiative as well as the requirements of the International Trade Union Confederation and the International Organization of Employers in 2008. The RES COMPASS programme strategy was based on the implementation steps in three mutually supportive components: The first component Comparative analysis of the methods of identification of skill needs on the future labour market based on the renewable energy sources was concerned in the young generation of the today’s students. The second component Career Orientation test was developed as a tool for the potential young people thinking about a future career in the emerging area of renewable energy. The third component focused on the future business opportunities for small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) in the RES sector. The paper informs about findings of the third component New businesses for SMEs in the RES. Realistic possibilities of the development of SMEs appear to exist in the provision of more complex services reacting to (1) needs of more rapid renovation of the morally depreciated devices, (2) interest of inhabitants and producers in the installations of at least two different autonomous alternative energy sources, (3) creation of informal groups of users who will share various energy sources, (4) need to support the installation of energy devices with other measures – energy audits and projects.

Resumen
Since early 1990s substance abuse and dependence among young people in our country has been growing. Therefore to devise a prevention program should be a task number one for the government. Social factors (economic and political crisis, forced migration, unemployment, etc), on one side, family disfunction and individual causes on the other, can result in insecurity fear, feeling of meaninglessness in the young mind and hence the need to "solve" these problems by using one of psychoactive substances (PAS). Studies have shown that the young and especially their families have a very poor knowledge of PAS - their kinds and uses, how to recognize a person (ab)using PAS, and what somatic and psychological consequences are produced by taking them. Social tolerance to alcohol use and abuse is high, society is supportive of alcohol use, while on the other hand individuals with substance dependence disorder are stigmatized and ostracized. The very first steps have been made in investigating this problem, some action has been taken, but serious comprehension of the problem and creation and realization of the national prevention program for substance use disorder are still missing.

Resumen
This pilot study used accelerometers to investigate the effectiveness of a multiple recess school intervention on physical activity patterns in younger elementary children using a post-test only with nonequivalent groups design. First and second grade students (N = 157) participating in a larger study, the LiiNK Project® (Let’s inspire innovation ‘N Kids), wore accelerometers for the duration of the school day for two weeks to measure physical activity intensity and number of steps taken daily. Students attended either an intervention school (N = 90), participating in four 15-min unstructured, outdoor recesses and one 15-min character development lesson daily, or a control school (N = 67), participating in two 15-min unstructured, outdoor recesses daily and no character development program. The intervention students, grades 1 and 2, took more steps (p < 0.001) and time spent in moderate (p < 0.001) and vigorous (p < 0.001) physical activity (MVPA) than the control school students. Intervention students averaged approximately 900 more steps per day than the control school students. These results show young children given 60 min of recess daily continue to increase physical activity patterns over those with 30 min of recess daily. Next steps are to evaluate if children demonstrate healthier body fat levels as a result of these higher patterns of MVPA daily.

The entrepreneurship ideology has been highlighted in the educational field through recent years and it is giving education a business character. Hence, the need to question this ideology in order to understand what entrepreneurship is, in what this "educational ideology" is based on and what is Competence Pedagogy? Finally, what is the Young Entrepreneurs First Steps course and how does it deal with the entrepreneurship ideology? To answer these questions, the general objective is to analyze the material proposed by the SEBRAE program called: Jovens Empreendedores Primeiros Passos - JEPP (Young Entrepreneurs First Steps), responsible for the dissemination of entrepreneurial ideology in basic education schools. The main objectives are: to investigate international guidelines for entrepreneurship and the pedagogy of competencies; to point out the relations between entrepreneurship and the pedagogy of competences in basic education; analyze SEBRAE’s JEPP course, understanding how the material deals with the ideology of entrepreneurship in basic education schools. The research is organized into four chapters: in the first, there are some considerations about the world of work, the state and social policies; in the second, the World Bank and its influences on basic education are discussed; in the third, the competence pedagogy as a reproduction of the world of work is presented; and in the fourth, the Young Entrepreneurs First Steps course is explained. For the development of the research, a bibliographical and documentary investigation was carried out both using primary and secondary sources, considering the social, cultural, economic and political elements fundamental to the research.

The transition from school to work is a crucial change young people experience during emerging adulthood, as the first steps taken into the labor market can influence future labor market careers and life prospects. One of the key responsibilities of education is to prepare students for the labor market, in which the vocational specificity of education systems is regarded as the central component in youth’s preparation for and allocation to the labor market. Despite many empirical studies examining the underlying mechanisms of the vocational impact of education on youth labor market integration, a review on this vast literature is lacking. Hence, in this chapter the authors provide a literature review on the role of vocational specificity in youth labor market integration, which operates through the individual level, study program level, and education system level. Moreover, a coherent system of indicators that measure vocational specificity at the three levels is provided.

Resumen
This chapter looks at Venizelos's first steps as head of government in Athens. They showed that he was determined to secure a solid majority, enabling him to implement his program, starting with constitutional revision. Rebutting the hostility of the Ottomans, for whom as the architect of enosis he was deeply suspect, he appointed a government of five ministers of whom only two had served in previous parliaments. This was new blood. Action on the constitution was held up by a major row in parliament (itself with constitutional implications) over the question of dissolution of the assembly, which Venizelos requested. The King granted this, leading to new elections which the old political parties boycotted, thus cutting their own throats. The old party leaders, Theotokis, Rallis and others, had underestimated the new prime minister, who secured an impressive majority. Young deputies such as Kafandaris, elected on Rallis's ticket, soon followed Venizelos, joining the liberal party.

Resumen
Close to a dozen years have gone by and we find ourselves seated on folding chairs enjoying the final recital of a private studio of talented piano students. Each year there are a few new eager faces as the younger students deftly work through pieces that seem very complex for such little fingers to play so quickly. We notice the students who have been seasoned through training, now in those tenuous intermediate years. Their intense desire for precision shows maturing musical ideas, but often arrives at awkward adolescence when being on stage has an added gravity of meaning. We search for the advanced teenagers—those students we have seen truly blossom through the long process of talent development. Numbers have dwindled in this studio. One has decided to move out of state and is now studying at a conservatory. Another has decided to concentrate efforts on the oboe, begun in elementary school band, with time restraints easing piano lessons out of her schedule. Academic and parental pressures have caused last year’s shining star, a junior seeking an Ivy League college education, to quit as well. There remains one teenager who ends the program with a flourish, receiving many hugs from young admirers and awards galore following the program. This is our tiny, eager student from the front steps. A senior, having completed a full twelve years of instruction with many competitions and solo recitals under his belt, he bids farewell to this comfortable, nurturing studio. He enters college as a math major. Many private teachers, parents, and music students may recognize this scene as a very realistic portrayal of possibilities in musical talent development. The first years of training are “romance,” with parents aglow when hearing their talented youngster perform with such confidence and flair. The middle years consist of flux and flow, a phase when students search for the “whys” and “hows” beneath the notes that were so easily played in prior years. Musical training now presents persistent challenges. Late-starters may speed into these years with determination. Others may begin a second instrument or composition classes to broaden musical experiences.

Resumen
Educating young engineers in the field of design has always been a challenging task. In particular, teaching some of the aspects of robotics and mechanisms design in a non-mechanical curriculum by far introduces additional challenges. This paper presents an overview of a teaching approach and pedagogical challenges of the author for the past 18 years in teaching (or creating a learning objectives) of the basics of mechanical design methodologies and experiences to sophomore students enrolled in the Engineering Science program. One of the main components of the course syllabus is the notion of design synthesis of a pre-robotic mechanical device. First, the functionality of this device is shown to the students. Next, the students need to propose various design alternatives with mechanical and technical specifications. This paper outlines the method of how the students are guided through the design experience while exploring the basic steps of the design process and specifications.
