Résumé :

La sombra de la Antígona de Sófocles ha mediatizado la transmisión e interpretación de las Fenicias de Eurípides. Tres pasajes de Fenicias proyectan en conjunto la imagen de una Antígona muy humana y de una gran entereza de ánimo, próxima al personaje de Sófocles. El primero, la teichoscopía del prólogo; el segundo, una escena central, vv. 1264‑1283, preludio del último estásimo. En el tercero, formado por dos escenas, vv. 1480‑1539 y 1540‑1580, el protagonismo de Antígona es notable y revelador de su carácter. La ausencia del primero, cuya autenticidad ha sido cuestionada, privaría a la Antígona de Fenicias de unos rasgos de carácter que en conjunto hacen de ella un personaje muy humano.

Résumé :

Pietro Aaron (c.1480-c.1550) is the author of five music treatises. The first, Libri tres de institutione harmonica (Bologna, 1516), was composed in Italian and then translated into Latin by the humanist Giovanni Antonio Flaminio (1464-1536); the other four appeared in Italian, which made Aaron a pioneer in this regard. The Thoscanello de la musica, the first of the vernacular treatises, proved very successful and was reissued three times in the course of the sixteenth century under the title Toscanello in musica (Venice, 1529, 1539, 1562). These reissues are very similar to each other, but are clearly distinct from the first edition, in particular by the addition of an appendix (aggiunta) on various questions concerning musica ficta and the modes of Gregorian chant.

In this work, a single-stage C-band erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) has been constructed and characterized. Gain (G) and noise figure (NF) measurements collected for the C-band EDFA as a function of wavelength (1528.8 to 1562.3 nm) and laser pump powers are discussed. Further, the EDFA conversion efficiency (CE) as a function of laser pump powers is presented. Simplified mathematical expressions for the EDFA gain, NF, and CE are provided. The C-band EDFA signal gain remained flat in the spectral region 1539 to 1562 nm. Moreover, the C-band EDFA NF increased with wavelength and decreased with the 1480 nm laser pump powers. Additionally, the C-band EDFA maximum achieved conversion efficiency and signal gain is 22.64% at P1=19.49 mW and 22.6 dB at 1531.1 nm, respectively.

Résumé :

<p>La reciente organización realizada por el Archivo General de Navarra de los papeles procedentes del archivo particular del clérigo veneciano Juan Rena (ca. 1480-1539), mano derecha de Fernando II de Aragón (el Católico) y Carlos V en la reestructuración administrativa del reino de Navarra tras su conquista en 1512, ha permitido conocer diverso material criptográfico tocante a las actividades vinculadas con su persona entre 1520 y 1529. En el presente trabajo se estudian tres cifras desconocidas hasta el momento, enmarcándolas en su contexto cronológico y relacionando sus principales características con otras claves conocidas en el ámbito hispano del siglo XVI. El desconocimiento de la existencia de este tipo de documentación relativa a las élites navarras de la Baja Edad Media y el Renacimiento las hace más interesantes, porque permite comprobar que no debieron de ser infrecuentes entre los sectores privilegiados.</p>

This thesis offers an innovative study in the construction of the Hispanic Monarchy during the first half of the sixteenth century. Focusing on a king's man: Juan Rena (Venice, ca. 1480-Toledo 1539); I explore subjects such as the Spanish expansionism in Europe and beyond, the configuration of the empire's frontiers, the shaping of the new imperial administration, and the functioning of Charles V's military machinery in the Mediterranean. In analysing Juan Rena's activity as a crown servant, this work reveals how the Hispanic Monarchy was constructed from below, out of multiple interactions between a wide array of socio-political actors. Furthermore, and this is one of the main contributions of this research, it will allow us to rethink the role of that the myriad of king's men, like Rena, played in the configuration of early modern empires. Hence, this thesis seeks to do more than simply reconstructing the activities of a royal servant, it aims to provide an in-depth study, which will contribute to our historical understanding of the construction of early modern empires.
