Many studies have demonstrated that music has many benefits for children’s physical and mental development. However, many preschool educators have scant preparation for or a lack of experience in aesthetic education. The purpose of this study is to explore preschool educators’ perceptions of and reflections on aesthetic education training. We conducted a survey associated with three aspects: “aesthetics appreciation”, “aesthetics implementation”, and “aesthetics evaluation”. The results of the study show the majority of participants agreed that (1) musical participation would strengthen participants’ attitudes toward aesthetic appreciation through proper aesthetic training programs and (2) musical engagement would benefit young children by enhancing their aesthetic experiences. The attitudes toward aesthetic implementation for young children were more favorable among the middle-aged and experienced participants; (3) musical activities are also a good way to improve young children’s aesthetic abilities, which helps to create an aesthetic atmosphere in educational practice. These results indicate that it is vital for preschool educators to receive the appropriate training in aesthetics and continuous assessment to provide high-quality early education to young children.

The inherent connections among aesthetic attributes and aesthetics are crucial for image aesthetic assessment, but have not been thoroughly explored yet. In this paper, we propose a novel image aesthetic assessment assisted by attributes through both representation-level and label-level. The attributes are used as privileged information, which is only required during training. Specifically, we first propose a multitask deep convolutional rating network to learn the aesthetic score and attributes simultaneously. The attributes are explored to construct better feature representations for aesthetic assessment through multi-task learning. After that, we introduce a discriminator to distinguish the predicted attributes and aesthetics of the multi-task deep network from the ground truth label distribution embedded in the training data. The multi-task deep network wants to output aesthetic score and attributes as close to the ground truth labels as possible. Thus the deep network and the discriminator compete with each other. Through adversarial learning, the attributes are explored to enforce the distribution of the predicted attributes and aesthetics to converge to the ground truth label distribution. Experimental results on two benchmark databases demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method to state of the art work.

Image aesthetic assessment has always been regarded as a challenging task because of the variability of subjective preference. Besides, the assessment of a photo is also related to its style, semantic content, etc. Conventionally, the estimations of aesthetic score and style for an image are treated as separate problems. In this paper, we explore the inter-relatedness between the aesthetics and image style, and design a neural network that can jointly categorize image by styles and give an aesthetic score distribution. To this end, we propose a multi-task network (MTNet) with an aesthetic column serving as a score predictor and a style column serving as a style classifier. The angular-softmax loss is applied in training primary style classifiers to maximize the margin among classes in single-label training data; the semi-supervised method is applied to improve the network’s generalization ability iteratively. We combine the regression loss and classification loss in training aesthetic score. Experiments on the AVA dataset show the superiority of our network in both image attributes classification and aesthetic ranking tasks.

This paper grows out of the collaboration between an English Educator and an Art Educator who both work with pre service and in-service teachers as they prepare for teacher licensure. Through ongoing conversations about shared interests, the collaboration now has connected the East and West. More specifically, this paper connects Sri Aurobindo’s ideas about education and self-education, ones that privilege the visual and aesthetic, to theories and practices in US Education. Aesthetic Education is at the center of this work. We believe that engaging with artwork, artifacts, and visual culture, provides learners with opportunities to explore the unfamiliar as a way to understand the familiar, enhancing a greater worldview. Ideas from theorists in the West, such as John Dewey and Maxine Greene, along with strategies for visual analysis based on Feldman and Yenawine, align with and are enhanced by Sri Aurobindo’s ideas about education. Through the about power of Intercultural Education, the interconnections and connections begin to knit together East and West, opening a broader worldview in the service of improving education.

Background. Three educational models for plastic surgery training exist in the United States, the integrated, combined, and independent model. The present study is a comparative analysis of aesthetic surgery training, to assess whether one model is particularly suitable to provide for high-quality training in aesthetic surgery. Methods. An 18-item online survey was developed to assess residents’ perceptions regarding the quality of training in aesthetic surgery in the US. The survey had three distinct sections: demographic information, current state of aesthetic surgery training, and residents’ perception regarding the quality of aesthetic surgery training. Results. A total of 86 senior plastic surgery residents completed the survey. Twenty-three, 24, and 39 residents were in integrated, combined, and independent residency programs, respectively. No statistically significant differences were seen with respect to number of aesthetic surgery procedures performed, additional training received in minimal-invasive cosmetic procedures, median level of confidence with index cosmetic surgery procedures, or perceived quality of aesthetic surgery training. Facial aesthetic procedures were felt to be the most challenging procedures. Exposure to minimally invasive aesthetic procedures was limited. Conclusion. While the educational experience in aesthetic surgery appears to be similar, weaknesses still exist with respect to training in minimally invasive/nonsurgical aesthetic procedures.

Sustainable forest management (SFM) standards have been criticized for their lack of aesthetic indicators, which some consider to be an important social component of forestry. To provide a basis for the inclusion of aesthetic indicators in SFM frameworks, we used Delphi techniques to survey the beliefs and opinions of SFM and aesthetic experts. The three major reasons provided for the lack of aesthetic indicators were a lack of aesthetic training among those designing criteria and indicators, a bias against aesthetics, which are often considered to be highly subjective, and the general omission of people with knowledge of aesthetics during the development of SFM standards. Based on the responses, we present 10 possible aesthetic indicators appropriate for international SFM standards, including eight quantitative and two qualitative indicators. We also provide 18 other potential aesthetic indicators, which can be applied at various scales of SFM, ranging from local to national. These results should provide guidance to groups developing and revising criteria and indicators of sustainable forest management at various scales, from local to international.

With the improvement of the quality of life, people start to pursue after some artistic beauty of spiritual level. It is particularly hot to manifest body language in the aesthetics. As an art form of body language, we focus on this form of limb aestheticst, and dance is still rare both at home and abroad .Some standardized regulations of dance moves are investigated in the current dance training ,which is demanded in the world of dance very urgently. This paper researches on the real problem that dance moves flexibility in dance training through the mathematical geometric principles. We hope this research will make the dance moves in dance training more in line with the current limb aesthetics, and perfect the blank of this field in domestic. Meanwhile, we hope that this research method can provide some reference for the other domestic aesthetic research on body language ,and make some contribution to the development of the domestic arts.

Background: The public and other physicians expect dermatologists to be experts on aesthetic dermatology services. In Canada, current challenges may limit residents from achieving competency in aesthetic dermatology during their training. This may adversely affect patient safety, create medicolegal risks, and deter graduates from offering aesthetic procedures. Objectives: The objective of this article is to characterize the curriculum, hands-on learning opportunities, and perceptions of aesthetic dermatologic training in Canadian dermatology residency training programs. Methods: An online survey of faculty and residents within Canadian dermatology residency programs was performed. The main outcome measures were the hours of formal aesthetic dermatology teaching, the frequency of hands-on dermatology resident training with injectables and devices, and comparing faculty and resident perspectives regarding resident aesthetic dermatology training. Results: Thirty-six faculty members (40%) and 47 residents (34%) responded to the survey. Lasers, fillers, neuromodulators, and mole removal were most commonly taught in the 10 hours or fewer of formal instruction. Residents commonly observed rather than performed procedures. High dissatisfaction among residents was reported with the quality and quantity of aesthetic dermatology training. Faculty and resident respondents supported increasing aesthetic dermatology education, and approximately 70% of residents plan to offer aesthetic services. Discounted pricing or resident-led clinics were felt to be ways to increase resident hands-on experience. Conclusions: The standardization of core competencies in aesthetic dermatologic procedures is essential to ensure patient safety and practitioner competence. At present, formal aesthetic dermatology training in residency may be insufficient for hands-on training. The majority of dermatology faculty and resident respondents support increasing aesthetic dermatology training.

The core idea of Orff's music education system is localization, original nature and practicality. It is a kind of music that people must participate in, that is, people participate in it not as listeners, but as performers. Its purpose is to stimulate the vitality of every participant. Music education, fundamentally speaking, is the education of artistic aesthetics, not a pure skill training. Aesthetics is a kind of perceptual knowledge and a universal emotional need of human beings. People understand and observe the object world through images in aesthetic activities. In order to cultivate students' aesthetic ability and grasp the main line of aesthetic experience, aesthetic experience must be regarded as the most important value of music education. By studying Orff's music teaching mode based on the cultivation of students' aesthetic ability, this paper explores how to apply effective strategies such as rhythm reading in singing course, trying basic movements in rhythm teaching and using Orff instruments in appreciation class, so that students can integrate into and enjoy music class through various means and effective forms. Excavate students' inner needs and interests, and form musical aesthetic ability.

The article examines the aspects of colour training of future designers, discusses the concept of colour competence and its importance in the process of professional training of future specialists in the field of design. The purpose of the article is to study the aesthetic perception of color in the process of color training of future designers. Color is highlighted as the most important element of aesthetic perception and emotional expression of design objects, has a psycho-emotional impact on the receiver (audience) and carries a certain informational value. The aesthetic perception of color is understood as a complex process in which the awareness of aesthetic, artistic, and spiritual values takes place from the standpoint of sociocultural and historical factors. The need for colour competence through the study of a complex of professional disciplines is emphasized, which is decisive in the process of training future designers. The study presents separate tasks using interactive technologies that contribute to the formation of aesthetic perception of colour in the process of colour training of students of higher education in the specialty 022.01 «Design» of the educational and professional program «Graphic design» SI «Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University». Dermal filler and toxin injections have become the most frequently performed aesthetic procedures, offering patients rejuvenation and enhancement, with minimal downtime. The quality of the post-injection result and frequency of adverse events is related to the training, technical skill, and aesthetic and clinical judgment of the injector. Any provider performing injectable treatments should have a comprehensive understanding of facial aesthetics and facial anatomy, and how it is impacted by aging; as well as the available injectate capabilities and characteristics. They should be capable of skillfully employing injection techniques that minimize adverse events while maximizing success in achieving aesthetic goals. This chapter will review the anatomy and components of facial aging, the principles of facial aesthetics, the available injection techniques and their applications, as well as guidelines to avoid adverse events. Once an aesthetic practitioner has achieved a solid understanding of the available filler products, is able to accurately assess a patient and formulate a treatment plan, and then use a good technique to perform injections, patient satisfaction is assured.

Aim. People with attractive facial appearance are more easily integrated in society and are considered to be more capable, more intelligent and more responsible. The aesthetic aspect is influenced by expression, by facial symmetry, facial contours and teeth colour. In dental restorations, the correct determination of teeth colour is a critical step with extreme importance for successful treatment. From this perspective the practitioner must have experience, must have the ability to distinguish colours and must train through repetitive visual practical exercises that can have an impact on the perception of dental aesthetics. Materials and method. The study followed comparatively the evolution of teeth colour determination and its impact on dental aesthetics perception. It was conducted on a group of fifth year students from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Bucharest using the Tooth Training Box colour determination exercise that is based on the 3-D Master colour key principle. Results. Using training exercises to determine colour participants developed a better understanding of the physical principles behind the procedure but also a significant increase in accuracy of their measurements and confidence in their colour determinations. Conclusions. Using an aesthetic evaluation protocol that translates teeth colour in a universal language for both practitioners as well as dental technicians has a significant impact in aesthetic dentistry.

ABSTRACTIt is hypothesized that body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) patients are firstly more “aesthetical,” an attribute much like being musical, which varies between different individuals. This results in a greater emotional response to more attractive individuals and placing greater value on the importance of appearance in their identity compared with healthy individuals. Some BDD patients may have greater aesthetic perceptual skills. This is manifested in their education or training in art and design. Secondly, BDD patients may have higher aesthetic standards than the rest of the population. Their failure to achieve an unrealistic aesthetic standard is at the core of BDD, leading to severe distress and handicap.

The article conceptualizes the ideas about the aesthetic dominant of humanitar­ian knowledge and the importance of the works and scientific and educational activities of Nikolai I. Kiyashchenko for the consolidation of this dominance. The special importance of aesthetics as a science and practice of forming ideas about the harmony of personality and harmonious worldview is emphasized. Special attention is paid not only to the training course called “Aesthetics”, but to all training sessions where aesthetic knowledge is in demand. The understand­ing inherent in the works of Nikolai I. Kiyashchenko and important for scientific research devoted not only to art as a well-known sphere of aesthetic activity, but also to research devoted to man, his moral sphere and socio-cultural activity is noted. It is emphasized that aesthetics is of crucial importance for modern educa­tional process at all its levels, from school to higher education, from postgradu­ate studies to scientific studies of experienced scientists. This follows from the idea that aesthetics is a broad field of human intellectual activity. We present the efforts of Nikolai I. Kiyashchenko to unite researchers (at the level of con­ferences, joint scientific publications, work on grants). The attention of Niko­lai I. Kiyashchenko, teacher, mentor in a broad sense, to young researchers and their works is particularly noted. The fact that Kiyashchenko, an aesthetician, was also an educator is specifically evaluated, in connection with which the unique publication “Aesthetics of Life” is analyzed. It was intended for school­children and teachers who can work with teenagers. Problematization of aes­thetic knowledge and educational pathos turn the works of Nikolai I. Kiya­shchenko into a solid corpus, aesthetically significant and relevant.

The relevance of professional training of future educators of IPE (institution of preschool education) for usage ethnological-aesthetic means in work with children is substantiated in the article. The concept of "means" is concretized and a complex of ethnological-aesthetic means, effective for the forming in preschool age children's ideas about culture, life, traditions, customs, rites of the Ukrainian people and aesthetic taste (folk toys, crafts and handicrafts, state and folk symbols, everyday life, arts and crafts) is proposed. Importance of involving senior preschool age children in folk crafts and handicrafts, arts, making folk toys is actualized, which promotes patriotism, development of personal qualities such as kindness, compassion, courage. The role of aesthetics of everyday life, state and national symbols in awareness of the beauty of the surrounding reality by child is determined. The paper suggests theoretical and methodological aspects of professional training of students for decorative drawing and decorative application classes (drawing and application of Easter eggs on planar forms, Yavoriv toys, exercises in elements of Hutsul and Petrykivka painting), making a folk toys from various materials (threads, fabric, hay, straw), modeling visits to a virtual museum in work with senior preschool age children; the importance of such classes for mental, speech development, preparation for schooling of senior preschool age children is substantiated. The pedagogical conditions for the effectiveness of the usage of ethnological-aesthetic means in the practice of institutions of preschool education are proposed. The authors emphasize the importance of training future educators to create an appropriate educational environment, develop skills to select tools and methods for work with children that would promote their creative attitude to the aesthetic development of reality, reflecting it in their own creative activities.

In recent years, short videos have become the most important form of entertainment consumption in the fragmented time of Chinese people. This paper takes K-pop dance in short videos as the research object. Through qualitative analysis, it explores the characteristics of dynamic music, diversified movements, and strong control of K-pop dance in short videos, and analyzes its impact on the public's aesthetics, that is, abandoning kitsch performance, presenting a rigorous training spirit, and improving public aesthetics. Confident and wild dance performances resonate with the audiences aesthetic appreciation. The full use and display of female physical characteristics reflect the aesthetic preference since ancient times. This paper aims to convey positive dance power, deepen the publics understanding of K-pop dance, and promote the better spread of K-pop dance.

The article analyzes and evaluates the adjacent spaces in residential areas. A survey of about a hundred yards of Far Eastern cities (Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) was conducted. Using the methods of full-scale survey and comparative analysis, positive and negative characteristics are determined in terms of aesthetics, functions and convenience for residents, the conditions of visual comfort on the selected site are revealed. The study is carried out from the point of view of architectural composition and functional organization. The study includes an analytical part, which presents the characteristics of house spaces and a practical one, which contains recommendations for improving the aesthetic qualities of the courtyard environment. The novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time such an analysis is carried out in the process of architectural design training in order to understand the special importance of aesthetic comfort in an urban residential environment. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to introduce theoretical research into design practice for further development of the courtyard of an apartment building: from reasonable functional organization and simple physical comfort - to aesthetic comfort, to artistic expressiveness of space and a unique sense of place identity. The study was conducted by the Institute of Architecture and Design of Pacific State University as part of the training courses "Environmental factors in Design" and "Aesthetics of Architecture and Design".

The basis of the aesthetic thought of Tamilians is their art and literature. Thus, Tolkappiyam is the best source for recording the tradition of Tamil aesthetic thought. Similarly, there are many references to the concept of beauty in Sangam literature. Although Tamil literature has recorded the term beauty related to literary creation and artwork, research on the term has not been carried out in the field of Tamil literary criticism. It is noteworthy that the first book written to explain Murugu or beauty in Tamil is Thiru. V. Kalyana Sundaranar's Murugan or Beauty. In this book, aesthetics are explained in some places with religious affiliation and in some places without religious affiliation. Given the definition of beauty, it is impossible to say with certainty that this is beauty. But there is a custom in the ancient Tamil society of dividing beauty into two categories: natural beauty and artificial beauty. Such beauty is formed according to the ideas that man has absorbed in the world. Similarly, the vision of beauty is formed according to the training of the senses. In particular, beauty differs according to his knowledge, experience, environment, and imagination. That is why the study of beauty is called aesthetics. Aesthetics is not only the study of beautiful things but also includes the study of things that are considered unattractive. Although everyone can get explanations for aesthetics from the perspective of approaching art in their own understanding, it is impossible to accept these alone as the final explanation of aesthetics. The reason is that aesthetics is different according to their understanding.

The article is devoted to the problem of developing pedagogical conditions for the development of artistic and aesthetic experience of pre-service music teachers of Ukraine and China in the process of vocal training. It has been found that the development of the information society and globalization have expanded the possibilities of higher art and pedagogical educational institutions of both countries regarding the professional training of pre-service teachers of Musical Arts belonging to the new generation, in particular in the direction of creating innovative pedagogical conditions for them to acquire artistic and aesthetic experience. The concepts “pedagogical conditions” and “artistic and aesthetic dominant in works of musical art” in the context of the existing socio-cultural environment have been specified. It has been proved that the priority pedagogical conditions for achieving this goal are: stimulating an interested attitude to the artistic and aesthetic segment of vocal training (in particular, self-evaluation, self-improvement, etc.); encouragement to reflect on the emotional and semantic content of the work; ensuring the interrelation between the artistic and aesthetic context of the interpretation of a vocal work and methodological support for teaching it (probably). An end-to-end pedagogic condition has been defined: emphasis on the artistic and aesthetic dominant of the vocal work which is mastered (perceived, evaluated, studied, etc.) by university students. The pedagogical principles which are considered as a methodological basis for the implementation of the elaborated pedagogical conditions have been presented. It has been concluded that for the sake of full-fledged, high-quality training aimed at pre-service Music teachers of Ukraine and China in accordance with their activities in modern general secondary education institutions, artistic and aesthetic experience is an important segment of their training. At the same time, in accordance with artistic and creative activities, in particular performance and interpretation, a professional type of training is reflected on their dominants. The study takes into account vocal training, which has certain artistic and aesthetic contexts. Their consideration involves the development of a set of special pedagogical conditions that influence the artistic and aesthetic experience of pre-service Music teachers.

Introduction: Pansori is a traditional Korean dramatic art form, which likely appeared in the mid-eighteenth century in the southern region of Korea. In pansori, there is a strong inclination toward preserving tradition, especially in regard to training, which is generally considered particularly demanding in terms of risks to vocal health. Nevertheless —as highlighted by recent studies— some innovations took place in pansori characteristics and performances in the last few decades. Objective: We hypothesize that these innovations have impacted the attitudes of singers and teachers towards pansori training and vocal health issues, and that a new approach to voice training in pansori might be recommended. Method: Starting with recent evolutions of pansori and considering previous studies, we discuss how these changes might produce innovations —or at least a demand for innovation— in pansori’s training. We also try to capture the viewpoint of pansori students and performers, through an anonymous survey. Results: Although further investigation is required, the results suggest that a new approach in teaching pansori is emerging and it is increasingly requested by the trainee performers, despite some criticisms from traditionalists. Conclusion: Unlike previously thought, perhaps a more scientific and health-conscious approach to pansori voice training will be something from which many pansori singers can benefit.

The article highlights the results of diagnosis of forming moral and aesthetic component of personal and professional readiness of teachers to educational activities in school. The study of moral and aesthetic readiness of students was conveyed using the method of diagnosis empathetic abilities (V. Boyko), the author's methods of detection of readiness for activities of actional moral and aesthetic sense and personal predisposition to conflict behavior (test K. Thomas). The experiment proved that future teachers have had developed moral ideals and spiritual values; and formed aesthetic consciousness (feelings, attitudes, tastes, needs, feelings) and motivation and are ready for active transformative activities in the system of interpersonal communication. The majority of future teachers who participated in the study display a lack of following formed skills and abilities: attention, perception and thinking focused on the state, problems and behavior of another person; emotional sensitivity, the abilities to observe behavior of a partner, traits that promote openness, the ability to understand another person on the mutual basis due to emotional flexibility and the ability to accept other behaviour. This may adversely affect their future professional activities, including working with neglected pupils and their parents. The author considers that a high level of moral consciousness of a teacher being a unity of rational and sensual aspects to facilitate moral and aesthetic relations in professional collaboration

Drawing on the concept of aesthetic labour, this article examines how skill training programmes in the organized retail industries in Kolkata modulate underclass female service worker-bodies to align them with the corporeal ideals of a globally fetishized consumer-citizenship aesthetics. Applicants for the entry-level jobs in retail are usually young women from economically underprivileged families, who are routinely viewed as being ‘deficient’ in the basic social, communicational and cultural norms. This necessitates a refashioning of the workers’ personhood by changing their bodily deportments, hygiene standards, communicational skills and social etiquettes. Yet there is little sustained examination of the impact of such skill training on the everyday lives of young female employees who are simultaneously tied to the aspirations for corporate social mobility as well as the vagaries of their own personal lives imbued with poverty, low wage and socio-economic precariousness. Based on a two-year ethnography in shopping malls in Kolkata, this study makes an original contribution in reflecting on how, while female service workers might very well learn to inhabit spaces like shopping malls through a learnt performance of embodied consumer cosmopolitanism under aesthetic labour regimes, their class backgrounds continue to produce moral surveillance, frictions as well as restrictions.
