Résumé :
A lot of developments made during the last years show that Kac-Moody algebras play an important role in the algebraic structure of some supergravity theories. These algebras would generate infinite-dimensional symmetry groups. The possible existence of such symmetries have motivated the reformulation of these theories as non-linear sigma-models based on the Kac-Moody symmetry groups. Such models are constructed in terms of an infinite number of fields parametrizing the generators of the corresponding algebra. If these conjectured symmetries are indeed actual symmetries of certain supergravity

The primary concerns of this thesis are completions and representations for various classes of poset expansion, and a recurring theme will be that of axiomatizability. By a representation we mean something similar to the Stone representation whereby a Boolean algebra can be homomorphically embedded into a field of sets. So, in general we are interested in order embedding posets into fields of sets in such a way that existing meets and joins are interpreted naturally as set theoretic intersections and unions respectively. Let L([lambda]) and [upside-down triangle]([lambda]) be the simple and induced finite dimensional rational G-modules with p-singular dominant highest weight [lambda]. In this thesis, the concept of Weyl filtration dimension of a finite dimensional rational G-module is studied for some highest weight modules with p-singular highest weights inside the p2-alcove when G is of type B[subscript]
