Deux réacteurs, R1 et R2, ont été alimentés quotidiennement avec les effluents à traiter à des TRH de 13 jours et de 20 jours, respectivement. During anaerobic digestion bacteria inside the digester require a carbon source for their growth and metabolism, sewage sludge was used as a carbon source in this study. The COD content was used to measure the disappearance of the substrate.
