In 2021, 1.5 million acres burned in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, a new record. Auburn consists of three (3) nonadjacent and nonoverlapping sections or parcels of land. The three (3) centroids of each section of Auburn are identified and used in three (3) evacuation scenarios: First, Auburn is evacuated away from the three (3) centroids. Every designer of a new data structure wants to know how well it performs in comparison with others. But finding, coding and testing applications as benchmarks can be tedious and time-consuming. Besides, how a benchmark uses a data structure may considerably affect its apparent efficiency, so the choice of applications may bias the results. We address these problems by developing a tool for inductive benchmarking. This tool, Auburn, can generate benchmarks across a wide distribution of uses. Résumé :
The reaction of (NBu4)2[Zn(dsit)2] (dsit = 4,5-diselenolate-1,3-dithiole-2-thione) with AuClL in a 1:4 ratio leads to [Au2(dsit)L2] (L = PPh3 (1), PPh2Me (2)), transferring the diselenolate group. Complex 2 reacts further with equimolar amounts of [Au(OClO3)L], affording the trinuclear complex [Au3(dsit)(PPh2Me)3]ClO4 (3). When the reaction of (NBu4)2[Zn(dsit)2] with [Au2Cl2(P-P)] was carried out in a 1:2 ratio, complexes [Au2(dsit)(P-P)]n (P-P = dppe (1,2-bis(diphenylphosphine)ethane), n = 1 (4); P-P = dppm (bis(diphenylphosphine)methane), n = 2 (5)) are obtained. Résumé :
The Auburn University campus in Auburn, Alabama, U.S., was used as the site for a case study on the applicability of i-Tree Eco using a 100% tree inventory. The 2009-2010 inventory of the managed areas of campus encompassed 238 ha. Information collected from each tree included diameter at breast height (DBH), tree height, crown width, percent dieback, and a tree condition rating. The complete inventory included 7,345 trees with Lagerstroemia spp. (crapemyrtle), Quercus phellos (willow oak), and Pinus taeda (loblolly pine) being the most numerous species on campus. Average DBH and total height
