Résumé :
In 1962, J. L. Austin published a set of lectures entitled How to Do Things with Words. In this founding document of speech act theory, Austin argues that language not only can say things, but it can also do things (what he calls the illocutionary force of language). Austins signal example of the illocutionary force of language is the wedding ceremony, in which words properly recited actually create a marriage. Later students of speech act theory have expanded the application of this insight: all language, written or spoken, has an illocutionary force that depends on the context of the speech

The Aulacidae is a small family of Hymenoptera that are parasitic on wood-boring beetles and wasps. They have a worldwide distribution but are generally poorly studied, particularly for the southern hemisphere. This study is part of a series that aims to describe the Australian fauna which is relatively species-rich compared with other regions. We describe 39 new Aulacus species from eastern mainland Australia and Tasmania: A. anici Jennings & Austin, sp. nov., A. aquilus Jennings & Austin, sp. nov., A. bamagensis Jennings & Austin, sp. nov., A. bashfordi Jennings & Austin, sp.

Résumé :
Pragmatics, closely related to literature, has been considered a powerful tool to study the language of literary works. Pride and Prejudice is famous British writer Jane Austen’s masterpiece. Jane Austin is apt at depicting people by conversations. She subtlety use conversations to highlight themes, push forward the plot. The characters created by her are full of dramatic stretching force, reproducing the people’s characteristics, emotions and conflicts vividly. Conversation is the main tool to achieve humorous effects as well. Therefore, conversation plays a very important role in

The genera Odontacolus Kieffer and Cyphacolus Priesner are among the most distinctive platygastroid wasps because of their laterally compressed metasomal horn; however, their generic status has remained unclear. We present a morphological phylogenetic analysis comprising all 38 Old World and four Neotropical Odontacolus species and 13 Cyphacolus species, which demonstrates that the latter is monophyletic but nested within a somewhat poorly resolved Odontacolus. Based on these results Cyphacolus syn. n. is placed as a junior synonym of Odontac

The braconid subfamily Microgastrinae are ecologically important parasitoids of larval lepidopterans, but are poorly studied in many regions of the world. The Austin Maze is a neuropsychological assessment tool used to measure cognitive function. A computerised version of the tool has recently been developed and shown to be equivalent to the conventional version in terms of performance. However, controversy remains regarding which specific cognitive constructs the conventional and computer versions of the Austin Maze purport to measure. The aim of this study was to investigate which cognitive constructs are associated with Austin Maze performance and whether these constructs remain equivalent across conventional and computer versions. The Austin Maze has declined in use in both clinical and research contexts due to difficulties in accessing the conventional button-box form of the test. Computer-based versions of the Austin Maze offer a potential means of making the test more accessible, but as yet there is limited evidence regarding the equivalence of computer and conventional versions of the Austin Maze. The present study compared performance on a computer version of the Austin Maze by Bray and McDonald with performance on the traditional button maze in 63 participants aged 18–27 years. The recent interest in redeveloping the depleted Austin Chalk legacy field in Bryan (TX, USA) mandates that reservoir damage and subsurface trespassing between adjacent reservoirs be mitigated during hydraulic fracture treatments. Limiting unintended pressure communication across reservoir boundaries during hydraulic fracturing is important for operational efficiency. Our study presents field data collected in fall 2017 that measured the annular pressure changes that occurred in Austin Chalk wells during the zipper fracturing treatment of two new wells in the underlying Eagle Ford Formation.
