Résumé :
Accurate human body profiles have many potential applications. Image-based human body profile estimation can be regarded as a fine-grained semantic segmentation problem, which is typically used to locate objects and boundaries in images. However, existing image segmentation methods, such as human parsing, require significant amounts of annotation and their datasets consider clothes as part of the human body profile. Therefore, the results they generate are not accurate when the human subject is dressed in loose-fitting clothing. In this paper, we created and labeled an under-the-clothes human

Abstract A study of the spectral analysis and two-dimensional modelling of magnetic data collected along the track of 200 km traversing the southern part of the Gulf of Mannar indicates the presence of an anomalous body within the basement. The total field magnetic anomaly along the track is well explained by variations in the topogrphy of the anomalous body of normal polarity and uniform magnetisation. The model shows a topographic relief of about 6 km. The presence of volcanic vents in this area suggests that the anomalous body could be more basic in nature having high susceptibilty values.

Résumé :
The postmortem axial thermal profile of a body was recently demonstrated to have high specificity for the number of minutes elapsed after death, in comparison to a body’s single-point core (rectal) thermometry temperature value applied by today’s methods of death-time estimation. Application of multipoint axial thermometry (MAT) was recently proposed for death-time estimation to eliminate uncertainties of single-point thermometry that include the postmortem temperature plateau phenomenon and non-standardisation of thermometry-depth and body radius. Subsequently, a MAT device protot

The proteolytic system on the body surface of the honey bee has been insufficiently researched. In this study the body surface proteolytic activity was examined in queens at various developmental stages (eggs, larvae, pupae and imagines) in different seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter). Extracts of the body surface material with water and detergent were used for an in vitro analysis of the proteolytic activity and protease inhibitor level assaying, as well as for an electrophoretic separation of the extracts in polyacrylamide gels. The following methods were used: protein content testing

The study was carried out with commonly cultured C. carpio exposed to two sublethal dose levels of 0.025 and 0.05 ppm of arsenic, mercury, nickel and chromium individually and arsenic in combination with mercury, nickel and chromium. Protein quantity declined in all the heavy metal treatments except chromium, where it showed an increment in protein quantity. Gel electropherograms of muscle protein extracts of C. carpio on their exposure to different heavy metal treatments revealed a definite pattern of variations in their protein profile. It caused the synthesis of some additional protein frac

Background: Obesity and overweight is a disorder of unusually increased body fat generally resulting from increased energy intake relative to energy expenditure and is a primary sustenance-related disorder globally. The extensive increase in its prevalence in current years and its association with reduced life expectancy has made obesity one of the most vital public health problems. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between serum lipid profile and blood pressure with body mass index (BMI). Résumé :
Regular and professional physical activity has a significant impact on general health, lipid status, and body composition., Lipid profiles and anthropometric measures are considered the main indicators for understanding body composition and cardiovascular risk factors among both athletes and non-athletes. The aim of this study was to assess the body composition and lipid profile of athletes and non-athlete college students at the University of Garmian. This study used a cross-sectional design and was conducted on 45 endurance athletes and 30 sedentary male and female individuals. It took venou

Résumé :
Background Health behaviors developed in the college years tend to persist in adulthood. However, distinct changing patterns of food choices and physical activity (PA) and their predictors are still less clear among college students. The current study sought to explore changes of food choices and PA, as well as the effects of personal and interpersonal factors. Method Two-wave longitudinal data was collected from a sample of 431 Chinese college students (Mean baseline age = 19.15 ± 0.61 years; 45.7% male). A validated self-reported food frequency questionnaire was used to assess the frequency
