The results show that Ni particles uniformly coat on the surface of powders and then transform into NiTe2 during the sintering process, after that NiTe2 mainly concentrated at the grain boundaries of bulk. With Ni content increasing, the resistivity of bulk samples and Seebeck coefficient decreased rapidly while thermal conductivity increased. The mixture was applied as a thin film on a PET substrate using three techniques, spincoating, dipcoating and spraycoating, with an aim to produce a bulk manufacturing conductive material. The dopants also improved the film forming of PEDOT:PSS. There was a problem with adhesion and durability of the film to the substrate. Several different materials were investigated to solve this problem. The alpha and beta polymorphs of iron phthalocyanine (FePc) have been synthesised and then studied using infra-red spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), gas sensing experiments and Mossbauer spectroscopy. Résumé :
The impacts of Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB), often caused by cyanobacteria (Figure 1), on water resources are increasing. Innovative solutions for treatment of HABs and their associated toxins are needed to mitigate these impacts and decrease risks without introducing persistent legacy contaminants that cause collateral ecosystem impacts. This technical note (TN) identifies novel opportunities enabled by Additive Manufacturing (AM), or 3D printing, to produce high surface area advanced material composites to rapidly prototype sustainable environmental solutions for aquatic nuisance species contr

Résumé :
It is understood that this work relates to issues arising from a failure in a pipe carrying wet sour gas, in which cracking developed from a shallow hard feature, 1 to 3mm deep and about 50mm in diameter. The overall aim is to prevent such failures, and samples of material from this program, selected on the basis of the work reported here, have been subjected to sour testing under PRCI project SSC-2-14, and there is also a link to PRCI project NDE-4-11, which is exploring non-destructive techniques for the detection of local hard regions. This report presents the techniques used in the assessm

Résumé :
Fusarium oxysporum spp. causes Panama disease in bananas and crown and root rot in an array of vegetables and field crops, but increased regulations have restricted the use of many conventional chemical pesticides, and there are a limited number of commercially available products effective against them. The soil microbiome represents a largely untapped reservoir of secondary metabolites that can potentially antagonize fungal pathogens. However, most soil bacteria cannot be cultivated using conventional techniques and therefore most of these compounds remain unexplored. The overall goal of this
