Le prêt de main-d’oeuvre à titre exclusif et à but lucratif est interdit en France. Les formes légales de mise à disposition de personnel et notamment le travail temporaire sont donc strictement encadrées. Leur utilisation fait l’objet d’un contrôle administratif et judiciaire strict. Ces formes de mise à disposition coexistent avec d’autres mécanismes rassemblés sous le vocable général de « sous-traitance ». Au sens strict, la sous-traitance consiste pour une entreprise à confier à une autre l’exécution partielle d’une tâche qui lui incombe. Au sens large, elle inclut la « sous-traitance » interne par laquelle une entreprise demande à une entreprise extérieure de réaliser des tâches sur son site. Dans tous les cas, ces techniques parfois appelées « d’externalisation » ont pour effet de faire coexister spatialement des travailleurs appartenant à des entreprises différentes. Cette coexistence augmente les risques d’accident dans un contexte où l’identification du « décideur » s’avère parfois difficile. Les prévenir suppose de tenir compte de la pluralité d’entreprises concernées et de chaînes de direction.

Abstract. Article 24 of the Senegalese constitution provides for the development of religious communities and article 102 for the development of local authorities through decentralisation, while respecting the territorial integrity of the Republic. At Touba Mosque, a Mouride space and decentralised entity, the religious and the political coexist, creating multiple territorialities and complex governance issues where citizens and talibés come together in various ways. This article looks at the different forms of territorial appropriation and logics of belonging to these communities, particularly in the education and health sectors. The mixed methodology combines an exploratory visit, a mapping of the deployment of religion and politics and their interactions, semi-structured interviews and a quantitative survey of 208 residents between November 2024 and May 2024. The results show that religious territoriality is hegemonic, but that it also has to deal with political spatiality that is sometimes structuring, like that of the State, and sometimes interstitial, like that of the municipality. In governance, in the construction of identities and in development initiatives in education and health, this is reflected in forms of duplication, duality and in-betweenness that shape the urban space. En prenant pour cas d’étude l’émergence d’un problème public lié à la prolifération du moustique-tigre en Occitanie, cet article propose d’entrer dans la fabrique citoyenne de ce problème, qui peut être perçu sous l’angle des nuisances de la vie quotidienne ou bien comme une question de santé publique à traiter. Basé sur une enquête qualitative de trente entretiens avec des citoyens et des acteurs institutionnels, le texte analyse deux processus d’adaptation citoyenne face au moustiquetigre : la lutte et le « vivre avec ». Nous interrogeons le rôle effectif qu’endossent les citoyens dans l’action publique. Nous rendons compte de la coexistence de deux formes d’action publique : une action publique formelle portée par les institutions et une action publique citoyenne plus feutrée, se déroulant dans l’espace domestique, que nous qualifions d’« informelle ». Ces deux formes d’action publique peuvent s’exprimer de façon parallèle et indépendante, de manière divergente en se confrontant, ou s’entrecroiser. Nous analysons ainsi les convergences et divergences notables entre ces deux formes de prise en charge du problème.

Plusieurs travaux ont exploré les situations de contact en Méditerranée. Ils ont montré, par exemple, que durant l'époque moderne les relations marchandes dessinaient des espaces de communication entre sociétés et cultures2. Mais jusqu 'à quel point est-il possible d'élargir cette démarche en prenant en compte la dimension religieuse ? Ne sommes-nous pas, dans ce cas, en présence du noyau dur des identités collectives, peu enclin au compromis et aux accommodements ? Examiner les formes dévotionnelles qui franchissent les frontières entre religions représente incontestablement un défi. Et le faire en choisissant la Méditerranée comme cadre comparatif semble rendre ce pari encore plus risqué. Aujourd'hui plus que jamais, ce « continent liquide » est traversé par des affrontements. RésuméL’évolution du modal should s’est caractérisée par l’émergence progressive d’une interprétation non-déontique en construction hypotaxique. En effet, certaines constructions comportant should, du type It is surprising that he should say that, révèle un conflit sur une valeur construite ; celle-ci n’est alors plus repérée comme «effective» mais comme «fictive», et est considérée comme inattendue. Cette contribution se propose d’analyser le lien entre représentation attendue/inattendue et interaction de marqueurs hypotaxiques. L’examen d’exemples authentiques d’anglais contemporain révèle, en effet, la coexistence de plusieurs formes après la séquence It is + adjectif de valuation : constructions en for … to, propositions introduites par that (ou ∅) comportant should ou une forme assertée ou une base verbale. Il s’agit de montrer les différences de repérages entre ces formes et de rendre compte de l’apparition de l’une plutt que de l’autre en contexte.

A diferencia de quienes sostienen que el movimiento cívico-estudiantil y la contracultura que le acompañó no tuvieron un impacto significativo en el ámbito político, aquí se afirma que la contracultura y los breves, pero intensos, momentos de experimentación de otras formas de participación política y de convivencia, junto con los valores contraculturales que le acompañaron, tuvieron una repercusión política, más allá de los modos de participación posibles en la democracia representativa. La politique linguistique fédérale et la Loi 101 québécoise diffèrent grandement dans leurs versions originales. La première affirme le principe de la personnalité, les droits linguistiques individuels et l’égalité linguistique; la seconde repose sur les droits collectifs, la territorialité et la priorité accordée à la langue française. L’évolution de ces deux politiques depuis vingt ans a fait émerger dans la pratique plusieurs parallèles entre elles, lesquels indiquent qu’elles sont en définitive compatibles dans les faits. Dans ce contexte, nous avançons ici que les perspectives d’une coexistence des deux politiques sous leurs formes actuelles sont moins douteuses que certains critiques ne l’assurent. Une des questions fondamentales qui emergent de l'etude des noyaux loin de la stabilite concerne la persistance du caractere magique de certaines configurations de protons et de neutrons. A la suite de mesures realisees autour du nombre magique n = 28 pour des noyaux riches en neutrons, il apparait que cette fermeture de couche semble particulierement affaiblie. Dans ce contexte, une experience de mesures de masses par temps de vol de noyaux autour de n = 28 (z <20) aupres du spectrometre speg au ganil a apporte des elements decisifs pour la comprehension de ce phenomene. A l'issue de cette experience, une trentaine de masses a pu etre obtenue dans la zone d'interet dont 8 masses jamais mesurees auparavant. L'analyse des masses montre clairement l'existence d'une pseudo-fermeture de couche a n = 26. La comparaison de ces resultats avec des calculs de champ moyen relativiste et de modele en couches permet d'attribuer la disparition de la fermeture de couche n = 28 a la deformation et aux fortes coexistences de formes predites dans cette region. La mise en evidence d'un etat isomerique dans le 43s et son interpretation par un calcul de modele en couches confirment l'analyse issue des masses et constitue la premiere preuve experimentale d'une coexistence de formes autour de n = 28. Parallelement, une estimation de l'evolution du couplage spin-orbite loin de la stabilite, partiellement responsable de la sequence des nombres magiques, a montre que, bien que non negligeable, elle ne suffisait pas a expliquer la disparition de la fermeture de couche. A travers cette etude, il est apparu extremement difficile de decoupler les contributions de la deformation et du couplage spin-orbite dans des experiences de spectroscopie. Une etude de prospective a donc ete entreprise sur l'utilisation d'une cible de protons et de deutons polarises afin de mesurer directement l'evolution du potentiel spin-orbite en fonction de l'isospin a partir de reactions de diffusion elastique.

Au cours de ce travail consacre a l'etude des niveaux de haut spin dans le noyau de transition #1#8#7au, nous avons mis en evidence, pour la premiere fois, le fait que l'alimentation relative des systemes prolate et oblate (qui coexistent dans cet isotope) est differente selon la reaction et l'energie de bombardement utilisees. D'une part, nous avons effectue des calculs theoriques bases sur le modele de cranking. Il en ressort que la coexistence de formes prolate et oblate est predite jusqu'a des spins tres eleves (40 h) dans ce noyau. D'autre part, nous avons realise plusieurs experiences. La premiere a consiste en l'etude des etats de haut spin de #1#8#7au peuples par la reaction #1#6#0gd(#3#1p,4n) a 145 mev. Celle-ci a ete effectuee dans l'espoir d'observer des etats de plus haut spin que ceux prealablement etablis a l'aide de la reaction #1#7#2yb(#1#9f,4n) a 95 mev (jusqu'au spin 57/2 h). Les coincidences - ont ete collectees a l'aide de multidetecteur 4 chateau de cristal. Nous n'avons pas observe d'etats de spin superieur a 57/2 h mais nous avons decouvert que l'alimentation relative des systemes prolate et oblate dans la reaction utilisant le phosphore comme projectile est differente de celle de la reaction utilisant le fluor. Afin d'approfondir ce phenomene nouveau, nous avons alors realise des experiences de coincidences - dans les deux reactions a plusieurs energies de faisceau en utilisant le chateau de cristal a orsay. Pour ces memes reactions, la section efficace de fission a ete mesuree aux differentes energies de faisceaux incidents. Deux hypotheses sont proposees pour expliquer la difference d'alimentation des systemes prolate et oblate: 1) la fission peut jouer un role: elle pourrait detruire selectivement les noyaux tres deformes qui peupleraient les bandes prolates; 2) les bandes prolate et oblate ne prennent pas leurs sources dans la meme zone d'entree du plan (ex, i). Sur le plan experimental, des moyens de detection plus sophistiques tel eurogam sot necessaires pour trancher de maniere incontestable entre ces deux hypotheses

Les décisions prises par les fédérations sportives et les instances olympiques pour l'organisation des compétitions sont source d'un contentieux spécifique. L'inadaptation des procédures juridictionnelles classiques à la nature éphémère et internationale du sport compétitif, ainsi que la volonté du mouvement sportif de soustraire les litiges nés de ses décisions aux tribunaux ordinaires, ont provoqué la création de divers procédés contentieux extérieurs à la justice étatique : système de justice interne aux fédérations, procédure de conciliation obligatoire prévue par la loi française, ou encore, institution d'arbitrage conciliation obligatoire prévue par la loi française, ou encore, institution d'arbitrage international (Tribunal arbitral du sport) issue du mouvement sportif. Le contentieux sportif est donc marqué par la coexistence des différentes formes de justice, associative, étatique, amiable et arbitrale. L'étude de leurs caractéristiques propres et des modalités de leur articulation révèle que si le développement de la justice sportive interne n'a pas suffi à évincer la justice d'Etat, l'aménagement de procédures de conciliation et d'arbitrage adaptées aux spécificités sportives a en revanche conduit à faire des modes alternatifs les voies habituelles du règlement des litiges sportifs.

L'objet du travail est l'étude interculturelle de deux formes de catégorisation du réel, présentés chez tout un chacun avec des pondérations différentes, fonction des milieux d'enculturation. Le rapport existant entre ces deux types de catégorisation définit une façon préférentielle récurrente de se représenter et de traiter les données. Les deux axes, paradigmatiques et syntagmatiques, du langage sont envisagés comme révélateurs d'un système logique mis en route et comme candidats possibles à une explication d'une transmission cognitive enculturée. Les rapports que ces deux systèmes logiques entretiennent sont envisagés sur l'axe synchronique et interculturel, et sur l'axe diachronique, ce dernier permettant de poser l'hypothèse de créodes spécifiques de développement.

La forme du noyau est une caractéristique fondamentale de la matière nucléaire. Les isotopes légers pairs-pairs du krypton possèdent la surprenante propriété de présenter deux minimas pour leur énergie potentielle correspondants à deux déformations opposées. Alors que l'état fondamental 0+ peut avoir une déformation allongée ou aplatie, un second minimum aplati ou allongé respectivement, se dessine à une énergie inférieure à 1 MeV. Un tel phénomène est appelé coexistence de formes. Une première indication expérimentale est l'observation du second minimum correspondant à un état 0+ excité. Celui-ci a été observé tout au long de la chaîne du krypton. Un calcul de mélange des configurations allongée et aplatie met en évidence un changement de forme important de l'état fondamental en fonction du nombre de neutrons. Celui-ci serait de déformation allongée pour les 76,74Kr et deviendrait aplati pour le 72Kr. Une mesure directe de la déformation de ces noyaux est l'étape indispensable pour confirmer ces hypothèses. Une série d'expériences d'excitation Coulombienne auprès du dispositif SPIRAL associé au multi-détecteur EXOGAM au GANIL a été réalisée. Lors de ces expériences, la statistique était suffisante pour extraire les moments quadripolaires intrinsèques de ces noyaux grâce au code GOSIA. Ils établissent le caractère allongé de l'état fondamental et un état excité aplati conformément au scénario de coexistence de formes. Une mesure par « plunger » des temps de vie des états excités complète cette étude. Une expérience a été réalisée à haute énergie auprès du spectromètre LISE au GANIL permettant une première estimation de la collectivité du noyau de 68Se qui présenterait les mêmes propriétés. L'ensemble des résultats obtenus est comparé à des calculs théoriques de type HFB+Sly6+GCM.

Le présent manuscrit de thèse regroupe les études par spectroscopie γ des noyaux 84−88Se produits par une réaction de fission induite par neutrons thermiques, sur une cible de 235U. Cette expérience a été réalisée à l’Institut Laue-Langevin à Grenoble après du multi-détecteurs EXILL. Les données brutes recueillies par EXILL ont été traitées et analysées afin de déterminer la structure des noyaux étudiés. Grâce à cette étude spectroscopique détaillée, un premier schéma de niveaux a été établi pour la première fois au 88Se et de nouveaux états excités ont été assignées à d’autre isotopes de sélénium (84-87Se). De plus, l’analyse de la corrélations angulaires a été faite pour confirmer l’assignation de spins des premières états excités. Des calculs théoriques utilisant le modèle en couches (SM), le modèle collectif algébrique (ACM) et le modèle quasiparticule plus phonon (QPM), ont été effectués pour interpréter la structure nucléaire et la forme du noyau d’intérêt 88Se. Selon ces modèles, le noyau 88Se est γ-instable et peut être interprété comme un noyau transitoire et sa structure nucléaire du 88Se a été bien reproduite par le modèle en couches et le modèle ACM. Les calculs du modèle QPM indiquent que le degré de collectivité de l’état 22+ du 88Se est faible parce que une composante neutronique reste dominante dans la structure de la bande γThe present thesis manuscript includes the nuclear spectroscopy studies of 84−88Se. A more favourable fission reaction for their study is 235U(nth, f). The measurement was performed at the PF1B cold-neutron beam facility of the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), Grenoble. The fission reaction has been used in conjunction with the EXILL Ge array to study excited states in the neutron-rich Se nuclei. Thanks to this spectroscopic study, a first level scheme of 88Se was established and new excited states were assigned to other selenium isotopes. Furthermore, the angular correlation studies were carried out to confirm the spin assignment of the first excited states in the 84-88Se nuclei. The theoretical calculations using the shell model (SM), the algebraic collective model (ACM) and the quasiparticle plus phonon model (QPM) were performed in order to interpret the nuclear structure and the shape of the nucleus of interest 88Se. According to these models, the nucleus 88Se is γ-unstable and can be interpreted as a transitional nucleus. The shell-model calculations using a 78Ni core and the ACM calculations reproduce the decay scheme of 88Se well. The QPM calculations show that the collectivity of second state 2+2 of 88Se is weak and that this state contains a strong quasiparticle component

Chez les vertebres, la production hypophysaire d'hormones gonadotropes (gth) est controlee par un neuropeptide, la gonadoliberine (gnrh). La coexistence de plusieurs gnrhs chez la majorite des vertebres pose la question de leurs roles respectifs. Nous avons compare la localisation, l'action et la regulation des deux gnrhs coexistant chez un teleosteen primitif, l'anguille, mgnrh et cgnrh-ii. Des rias specifiques montrent que mgnrh est abondante dans les parties anterieures du cerveau et l'hypophyse, alors que cgnrh-ii predomine dans les parties posterieures du cerveau. Une etude immunocytochimique confirme cette localisation differentielle: les corps cellulaires a mgnrh sont presents dans les bulbes, telencephale et diencephale, leurs projections innervant l'hypophyse et de nombreuses aires cerebrales ; les corps cellulaires a cgnrh-ii sont peu nombreux et localises uniquement dans le mesencephale, leurs projections innervant les parties posterieures du cerveau, avec quelques fibres seulement dans l'hypophyse. Les deux gnrhs ont une action stimulante similaire sur la liberation de gth in vitro (culture primaire de cellules hypophysaires d'anguille). Les deux formes ayant une meme efficacite, la difference dans leurs teneurs hypophysaires (mgnrh>>cgnrh-ii) attribue a mgnrh un role majeur dans le controle de la fonction gonadotrope. La regulation des deux gnrhs a ete comparee lors de la maturation experimentale et sous l'effet de steroides exogenes. Une regulation differentielle des deux gnrhs est demontree, les steroides sexuels exercant un controle positif et strogene-dependant sur les taux de mgnrh (de meme que sur ceux de gth), tandis qu'ils exercent sur cgnrh-ii un controle negatif et androgene-dependant. La regulation parallele de mgnrh et gth revele un axe mgnrh-gth soumis au retrocontrole positif, amplificateur, des steroides sexuels. Inversement, la regulation negative de cgnrh-ii permet d'exclure son role dans le controle de la fonction de reproduction, lors de la maturation sexuelle

Actuellement, le noyau de l'atome sert dans diverses utilisations courantes. Pourtant, notre compréhension que de cet objet n'est pas complète. C'est pourquoi la recherche nucléaire est nécessaire. Parmi cet ensemble vaste, ce manuscrit s'intéresse à l'étude des changements de forme dans les isotopes riches en neutrons des séries Ru et Sr. Le sujet est d'abord cerné dans un chapitre de concepts théoriques de la physique nucléaire. Un second chapitre décrit l'expérience permettant de produire les isotopes d'intérêt. Cette expérience de spectroscopie gamma est réalisée avec un multidétecteur HPGe composé à partir d'EXOGAM et complété de cristaux GASP et LOHENGRIN. Cette expérience consiste en la fission du 241Pu induite par neutrons froids fournis par le réacteur de l'Institut Laue Langevin. Elle fait partie de la campagne EXILL. Le deuxième chapitre traite également de la pré-analyse des données. Après avoir montré les effets d'une pré-sélection des événements en multiplicité, les résultats obtenus concernant les isotopes 108Ru à 115Ru, et 92Sr à 96Sr sont abordés dans le troisième chapitre. Enfin, le quatrième chapitre replace ces résultats dans des ensembles plus larges des parties riches en neutrons des deux séries. This is why nuclear physics research is still needed. Among the large number of nuclear physics topics, this work is interested in the study of shape changes in neutron rich Ru and Sr isotopes. The subject is figured out in the first chapter, dealing with theoretical concepts about nuclear physics. A second chapter describes the experiment permitting to produce the isotopes of interest. This gamma-ray spectroscopy experiment has been realized with a HPGe multidetector made from EXOGAM and completed by GASP and LOHENGRIN detectors. This experiment consists of the cold neutron, supplied by the reactor of the Institute Laue Langevin, induced fission of 241Pu. This experiment is a part of the EXILL measurement campaign. The second chapter also deals with the data pre-analysis of this experiment. After showing the effects of a multiplicity cut on event preselection, the obtained results concerning 108Ru to 115Ru and 92Sr to 96Sr isotopes are presented on the third chapter. Finally, the fourth chapter puts these results in a wider part of the neutron rich side of both series. These last ones are also placed in their mass region context.The region of interest is rich in shape change, whether with neutronic enrichment or with excitation energy. These changes are rather well described by certain models, but the latter still have difficulty to describe the limits. Their precise determinations by experiment is essential to constrain models

Pour effectuer la spectroscopie gamma de haute résolution de noyaux émis en vol, à des vitesse élevées, il est nécessaire d'appliquer une correction Doppler précise. En ce sens, le détecteur AGATA (Advanced Gamma Tracking Array) représente une avancée révolutionnaire en spectroscopie gamma. Sa capacité à reconstruire la trajectoire des gammas dans le détecteur conduit à une excellente résolution en position, assurant une corrections Doppler optimale. Les cristaux de germanium de haute pureté utilisés dans AGATA sont divisés en 36 segments. La détermination des positions des points d'interaction se fait en analysant la forme des impulsions électriques mesurées. L'algorithme utilisé: le PSA (Pulse Shape Analysis), compare les signaux mesurés avec des bases simulées de signaux de référence, ce qui présente des limites en termes de précision. Ces bases de référence peuvent également être obtenues expérimentalement en scannant les cristaux avec des sources de gamma collimatées. Ce travail propose un nouvel algorithme d'apprentissage automatique basé sur les réseaux LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory), plus efficace et précis que la méthode standard de coïncidence de forme d'impulsion: PSCS (Pulse Shape Coincidence Scan). Cette thèse explore également la structure nucléaire des isotopes de Niobium riches en neutrons. Ces noyaux avec Z et N autour de 40 et 60, respectivement, montrent l'un des exemples les plus remarquables de transition soudaine de forme nucléaire entre des noyaux sphériques et tres déformés. Ces isotopes ont été produits au GANIL lors de deux expériences de fission induites par transfert et fusion. La combinaison du spectromètre VAMOS++, d'AGATA et du spectromètre gamma EXOGAM offre une opportunité unique d'obtenir une identification isotopique précise (A, Z), événement par événement, de l'un des fragments de fission, en coïncidence avec les gamma prompts et retardés émis, offrant une résolution sans précédent. Cette étude présente des schémas de niveaux mis à jour pour les isotopes Nb et introduit de nouvelles structures de bandes pour les noyaux Nb. Elle met en évidence la coexistence de formes sphériques/déformées dans l'isotope, réévalue le schéma de niveaux du Nb et le placement de sa bande rotationnelle. Une comparaison systématique suit l'évolution de la déformation nucléaire avec l'augmentation du nombre de neutrons, fournissant des données expérimentales précieuses pour affiner les modèles nucléaires. Les résultats expérimentaux sont comparés avec les calculs théoriques les plus récents de chaque isotopeIn-beam gamma-ray spectroscopy, particularly with high-velocity recoil nuclei, requires precise Doppler correction. The Advanced GAmma Tracking Array (AGATA) represents a groundbreaking development in gamma-ray spectrometers, boosting the ability to track gamma-rays within the detector. This capability leads to exceptional position resolution which ensures optimal Doppler corrections. The high-purity germanium crystals used in AGATA are divided into 36 segments. The determination of interaction point positions is achieved by analyzing the shape of the measured electrical pulses. The algorithm used, PSA (Pulse Shape Analysis), compares the measured signals with simulated reference simulated databases, which presents accuracy limitations. On the other hand, experimental databases can be obtained by scanning crystals with collimated gamma-ray sources using a computationally expensive method called Pulse Shape Coincidence Scan (PSCS). This work proposes, a novel machine learning algorithm based on Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks that replaces the PSCS method, reducing processing time and achieving higher consistency and accuracy. This thesis also explores the nuclear structure of neutron-rich Niobium isotopes. These nuclei, with Z and N around 40 and 60, respectively, exhibit one of the most remarkable examples of a sudden shape transition between spherical and highly deformed nuclei. These isotopes were produced at GANIL during two experiments involving transfer-induced fission and fusion. The combination of the VAMOS++ spectrometer, AGATA, and the EXOGAM gamma spectrometer offers a unique opportunity to obtain precise isotopic identification (A, Z) on an event-by-event basis for one of the fission fragments, with the prompt and delayed gamma-rays emitted in coincidence with unprecedented resolution. The research presents updated level schemes for the Nb isotopes and introduces new band structures for the Nb nuclei, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in fission experiments. It highlights spherical/deformed shape coexistence in theNb isotope, reassesses the level scheme of Nb and the placement of its rotational band, and tracks the evolution of nuclear deformation with increasing neutron number, providing valuable experimental data to refine nuclear models. The results are compared with the most recent theoretical calculations of each isotope

Set against the background of the gendered dynamics of English society, this book demonstrates that English Catholics were potent forces in the shaping of English culture, religious policy, and the emerging nation-state. Drawing on kinship and social relationships rooted in the medieval period, post Reformation English Catholic women and men used kinship, social networks, gendered strategies, political actions, and cultural activities like architecture and gardening to remain connected to patrons and to ensure the survival of their families through a period of deep social and religious change. This book contributes to recent scholarship on religious persecution and coexistence in post-Reformation Europe by demonstrating how English Catholics shaped state policy and enforcement of religious minorities and helped to define the character of early models of citizenship formation.

Niche differentiation reduces competition between species and modifies predation risk such that species coexistence is promoted. Temporal partitioning is a type of niche differentiation that has only relatively recently been specifically investigated. In this chapter, data from 515 camera trap stations from Sabah, Malaysian Borneo is used to describe the presence, habitat associations and activity patterns of Bornean carnivores and to investigate temporal partitioning between species. Primary and old logged forest were the most species rich sites and small forest fragments and oil palm plantations supported the fewest species. Species’ activity patterns within families were more similar than those between families. Only the masked palm civet and sun bear showed variation in activity among habitats. Considering the species as rough trophic groups rather than families revealed that each group contained both diurnal and nocturnal species, which presumably helps to promote coexistence between the musteloids and other species in each group.

Lo que, no significa dividir el objeto de estudio de una ciencia en el tiempo, es precisar las etapas fundamentales por las que ha transitado, e incluso desde el reconocimiento de la coexistencia de tendencias en un mismo periodo histórico determinado. El carácter científico del estudio tendencial de la Enseñanza de la Pedagogía, analiza las regularidades que se revelan en esta tendencia, a partir, de la sistematización de sus características y categorías pedagógicas esenciales. El propósito de dicho análisis es, generalizar una visión de la problemática educacional contemporánea para propiciar la orientación a la interpretación de los procesos pedagógicos actuales. Las tendencias educativas, se han conformado generalmente desde fuertes exigencias sociales y políticas, como las que necesita el Ecuador, todas ellas insertadas en tendencias universales, pero que en gran medida son reveladoras de un pensamiento independiente ecuatoriano. This chapter examines the relationship between theater and church in the early modern London parish of St. Anne, Blackfriars. From the 1580s, the parish of St Anne gained notoriety for its Puritan ministers and residents. For a brief period in the 1590s, these godly forces prevented Burbage, Shakespeare, and their fellows from opening a new indoor theater in part of the old Dominican monastery. But eventually the theatre opened and a culture of performing and playgoing became a well-established part of the local life. By looking closely at the individuals involved and at the social and economic forces at play in the Blackfriars, this chapter argues that coexistence, not conflict, characterized relations between the Godly and their neighborhood playhouse in this corner of the City.

Umberto Gori has often focused on the subject of peace, seen as the primary objective of Political Science, analysing the challenges that peacebuilding processes have to face in an international context undergoing profound change, and with aspects that could be described as dystopic. We will explore these dynamics by drawing inspiration from the way in which Ivan Illich dealt with the theme of the forced medicalisation of society, a theme that presents many points of contact with the intention of imposing a distorted version of the concept of peace, where a model of peaceful coexistence is proposed, which does not arise from the development of stable harmonious relations between mutually free and independent subjects, but from an absence of conflict produced by dehumanising forms of social conditioning.

The rejection of barter outside of monetised exchanges goes hand in hand with an apprehension of this practice as a ‘primitive’ mode of exchange, and proclaims the 'modernity of money'. At the heart of monetary economies, however, payment in kind coexists with other forms of exchange, such as gifts, exchange, credit, formalised trade and the monetised exchange of goods. The aim of this prolusion is to show that anthropology's re-reading of the practices of barter, exchange and payment in kind provides conceptual tools that enable historians to take stock of the spread and importance of these economic practices. It looks first at the coexistence of barter and money, before examining the diversity of forms taken by payment in kind and its areas of application.

Chapter seven analyzes some of the most relevant future scenarios, regarding population, energy resources, public health, inequality, democracy on a national scale and forms of social power. On the population, evidences are advanced which cast doubt on the comforting idea that its trend will first become stationary and then decrease. On public health, the connotations of the Covid-19 pandemic are compared with those of the major ecological problems. On inequality, the emphasis is placed on that resulting from competition for the goods of status and power. On democracy, the tension between the national context, in which this political regime has expressed itself in our era, and global processes is discussed. Finally, the coexistence of various forms of social power and the ways in which they combine with each other is examined.

Abstract A comprehensive fireside corrosion study was undertaken to better understand the corrosion mechanisms operating on the superheaters and lower furnace walls of advanced coal- fired utility boilers. The study intended to evaluate the fireside conditions generated from burning eight U.S. coals individually in a pilot-scale combustion facility. These coals consisted of a wide range of compositions that are of interest to the utility industry. The combustion facility was capable of producing the realistic conditions of staged combustion existing in coal-fired utility boilers. During each of the combustion tests, gas and deposit samples were collected and analyzed via in-furnace probing at selected locations corresponding to the waterwalls and superheaters. Testing of five of the eight coal groups has been completed to date. Results of these online measurements helped reveal the dynamic nature of the combustion environments produced in coal-fired boilers. Coexistence of reducing and oxidizing species in the gas phase was evident in both combustion zones, indicating that thermodynamic equilibrium of the overall combustion gases was generally unattainable. However, the amount of sulfur released from coal to form sulfur-bearing gaseous species in both the reducing and oxidizing zones was in a linear relationship with the amount of the total sulfur in coal, independent of the original sulfur forms. Such a linear relationship was also observed for the measured HCl gas relative to the coal chlorine content. However, the release of sulfur from coal to the gas phase appeared to be slightly faster and more complete than that of chlorine in the combustion zone, while both sulfur and chlorine were completely released and reacted to form respective gaseous species in the oxidizing zone. The information of sulfur and chlorine release processes in coal combustion generated from this study is considered new to the industry and provides valuable insight to the understanding of fireside corrosion mechanisms.

The Hlučín Region, which today forms part of the Czech Republic, is a region whose name was used in modern times and for the first time in connection with its annexation to the Czechoslovak Republic in 1920. The course of its eventful history, which was determined by various power interests, was significantly influenced over the centuries by the coexistence of the Czech/Moravian population with the German minority. The influence of the German language, culture, customs and manners is reflected in political and social coexistence as well as, among other things. in the regional folk songs. The folk songs in the Hultčín region were collected by a number of collectors of oral tradition. The German-written folk song collection Dreiunddreißig Lieder aus Hultschin. Mährische Volkslieder were compiled by the writer August Scholtis.

The article presented here presents the life and work of the writer Manfred Böckl with a focus on the Bavarian-Czech theme in his work. At the same time, it shows how and in what form the author‘s expressed wishes are reflected in the novel ‚Šumava. Die Saga des Böhmerwaldes‘.

The project "DiverCity" observes spatial diversity in cities from an intersectional point of view and analyzesdifferent forms of urban life with an interdisciplinary approach. The main reason for this research is given by raising sociocultural coexistences living together in urban spaces; a subject that occupies the man from the beginning of his settlements, actually since the early development of cities. In spite of the social changes that are produced within modern urban lifes, the debate about social life very often seems more a matter rooted in politics than in everyday life itself. Societies generate solutions and create its own concept of coexistence, very since allowing joint relationships between different spheres and social groups. But how is this actually done? These dynamics are precisely the main object of investigation in the "DiverCity" project. It therefore focuses its study on socio-cultural minorities and their perception of urban space. This is basically examined in two cities of different dimensions, a small and larger city in Germany, Lüneburg and Hamburg. The investigated minority groups are Muslims, people with disabilities, homeless people and homosexuals. Using empirical social research methods, especially based on semi-structured interviews and participant observation, the urban and spatial perception of the mentioned groups was examined and compared to each other. The presentation shows the first results of the analyzes carried out in Hamburg and Lüneburg as well as the planned extension of the project and its realization in Argentina.

This article is devoted to the study of the history of religious beliefs in Northeast China and the features of the spread of Tibetan Buddhism. The stages of the spread of Tibetan Buddhism in the region, the main areas of its existence, forms of religious practice and its influence on local society, culture and folklore are analyzed. The study shows that in the process of historical and cultural development of Northeast China against the background of multiethnic coexistence in the region, a diverse religious order has formed. The spread of Tibetan Buddhism not only enriches the diversity of local religious culture, but also promotes cultural exchanges and integration with various ethnic groups. This process is reflected not only at the level of religious beliefs, but also manifests itself in the local social structure, influencing the economic development and cultural identity of the region.

Dynamical system under investigation in the current work is comprised of harmonically forced linear oscillator with attached nonlinear energy sink. External forcing frequency detuning near the main resonance (1:1) is included in the system investigation. The detailed study of the periodic and quasi-periodic regimes is done in the work via (adaptive) averaging method. Local bifurcations of the periodic regimes are revealed and fully described in the space of system parameters (amplitude of excitation, damping, frequency detuning). Various possibilities of coexistence of the response regimes are predicted analytically and demonstrated numerically. Among those is a coexistence of two distinct periodic regimes together with strongly modulated response (SMR). All findings of the simplified analytic model are verified numerically and considerable agreement is observed.

Transportation is a sector of activity in permanent change. From airplanes to cars, trains and boats all forms of transportation aim at meeting personal or business needs of displacement of persons and goods. Those needs include safety, reliability, on time with the best effectiveness, and finally, providing the best price. This paper aims at studying car transportation’s consequences regarding last developments that culminate in the self-driving cars. This study analyses the impact of such changes at social and industrial level, considering also the coexistence of traditional cars and self-driving cars in diverse aspects. The authors aim to establish a proficient debate on such important changes for the near future, to create awareness of the potential consequences of such societal and business revolution and generate some conclusions addressing these complex challenges for the years to come. This paper also issues some recommendations for the coexistence of self-driving, autonomous and traditional cars during the transitory period.

Abstract When an asymmetrical shaft is supported by single-row deep groove ball bearings, nonlinear spring characteristics appear due to clearance of bearings and the stiffness of support at the shaft end differs depending on the direction because the equilibrium position of the shaft center line shifts from the center of the clearance due to gravity and misalignment of assembly. Due to the coexistence of the rotating difference in shaft stiffness, the static difference in stiffness at bearing supports and the nonlinear spring characteristics, various kinds of nonlinear parametric resonances and nonlinear forced resonances occur. In this paper, we studied vibrations of harmonic type and super-combination type. As a result, we clarified the following phenomena, such as, division of unstable range, convergence of an unstable vibration to a limit cycle, resonance curve of a hard spring type, and coexistence of a forward and a backward frequency components.

At the global level there is an urgent need and increasing attention for a new sense of Muslim identity in harmony with modern realities. Fethullah Gülen, an educationalist, a religious guide and a peace maker, is one of the most persuasive and influential Turkish-Muslim voices in the contemporary world putting strong emphasis on peaceful coexistence and the synthesis of faith and reason in Western democracies through spirituality, religious diversity, dialogue and educational initiatives. This paper primarily examines how and to what extent Gülen’s teachings and the world-wide volunteer movement inspired by him are contributing to the dynamic and cheerful coexistence of Muslims and non-Muslims. In order to explore and ana- lyse this coexistence, the seven text linguistic principles (cohesion, coherence, intentionality, acceptability, informativity, situationality and intertextuality) are applied to Gülen’s teach- ings and his movement as an empirical case. Secondarily, these text linguistic standards are modelled to social sciences as a new theoretical and methodological approach for exploring and analysing social movements and phenomena. The originality of this study is specified as the correlations between a movement and a text, and the processes of cognition, production and reproduction of knowledge and its dissemination and transition in the Muslim world, multicultural societies and liberal democracies. This research’s practical relevance lies in the fact that it helps understand how the Gülen movement has been formed and accomplished, both nationally and internationally. Metaphorically, in this paper Fethullah Gülen has been considered as the writer; by-him-inspired movement refers to the text; and the readers are the transnational community and the whole humanity.

This working paper approaches the current global crisis as a potential territoriality for radicalizing concepts and for learning with ongoing fugitive routes. Through nonlinear paths, I aim to examine the contours of the quilombo not only as a slavery-past event but as a continuum of anti-colonial struggle that invokes other forms of re-existence and convivial coexistence in Brazil. In doing that, this research draws attention to an Améfrica Ladina epistemology and a decolonial methodology embodied by living archives and oral histories.

Failures have occurred on gas-transmission pipelines at stress-corrosion cracking (SCC) locations that formed along the bottom of significant metal-loss defects. In one case, axial low pH SCC occurred within a large patch of significant metal loss; in a second case, selective axial metal loss occurred adjacent to the long seam, with coaxial low pH SCC forming at the bottom of this corrosion. While only a few instances of SCC growing in corrosion defects have been identified to date, the fact that initiation of SCC may favor more highly stressed sites, such as metal-loss defects, indicates that these past occurrences can be expected to recur. The increased likelihood of cracking in corrosion highlights the need to develop a failure criterion for SCC lying within metal-loss defects. This report presents the development of a failure criterion for cracks emanating from corrosion defects. The failure criterion is embedded in the suite of PRCI failure criteria for defects in pipelines, which is being delivered as part of the update for the PRCTs failure criterion for sharp defects, known as pipeline axial flaw failure Criterion, PAFFC.

The Maria Sibylla Merian International Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and Social Sciences Conviviality-Inequality in Latin America (Mecila) will study past and present forms of social, political, religious and cultural conviviality, above all in Latin America and the Caribbean while also considering comparisons and interdependencies between this region and other parts of the world. Conviviality, for the purpose of Mecila, is an analytical concept to circumscribe ways of living together in concrete contexts. Therefore, conviviality admits gradations – from more horizontal forms to highly asymmetrical convivial models. By linking studies about interclass, interethnic, intercultural, interreligious and gender relations in Latin America and the Caribbean with international studies about conviviality, Mecila strives to establish an innovative exchange with benefits for both European and Latin American research. The focus on convivial contexts in Latin America and the Caribbean broadens the horizon of conviviality research, which is often limited to the contemporary European context. By establishing a link to research on conviviality, studies related to Latin America gain visibility, influence and impact given the political and analytical urgency that accompanies discussions about coexistence with differences in European and North American societies, which are currently confronted with increasing socioeconomic and power inequalities and intercultural and interreligious conflicts.

Mexican public finances are weak; national tax collection as a percentage of GDP is among the lowest in the world. On the other hand, expenditure needs are enormous. There have been several attempts to reform our tax system but they have not been successful due to different factors such as political interests, excess of oil revenues, and deficient design of the reforms. One of the most important problems is that every reform has been attempted with no significant change on the expenditure side, or what is more, ignoring links between taxes and other economic areas such as social security contributions. Recently Levy (2008) has proposed a major change on the expenditure side. In particular he argues that social policy should dramatically be modified to be able to provide a universal health care system together with unemployment insurance, which at the end would promote formality. This calls for an adequate financial source. In this work we estimate the potential VAT collection to finance this proposal, taking into account some partial equilibrium effects in a context of coexistence of formality and informality. Here the former is defined in terms of tax compliance only.

Los mercados laborales locales en Colombia son heterogéneos y con importantes diferecias geográficas. En las ciudades de la región Caribe coexisten una alta informalidad laboral y relativamente bajas tasas de desempleo en comparación con el resto del país. Este trabajo ahonda en las características de la oferta y demanda en el mercado de trabajo en el caribe colombiano y se estima la curva de Beveridge para tener una primera aproximación al potencial desequilibrio existente. Este estudio identifica dos factores que pueden ser los causantes de los resultado de equilibrio general particulares que se observan en la región. Por el lado de la demanda, se encuentra una menor creación de vacantes formales en el Caribe, laboral y, por el lado de la oferta, se documentan fallas en calidad y pertinencia de la educación de la fuerza laboral regional. Ambos factores en conjunto pueden explicar el menor dinamismo del mercado laboral del Caribe, que conlleva a diferencias en los indicadores laborales de las ciudades capitales de esta región versus el resto de las áreas metropolitanas del país.

Los anfibios, pese a ser en algunas ocasiones organismos muy comunes y fáciles de observar, son animales poco comprendidos y reconocidos por el público en general. Su diversidad en términos de tamaños, colores, sonidos que emiten, formas de reproducirse, entre otras, es realmente extensa e inesperada para quien inicia en el estudio de la biología del grupo. Adicionalmente, con sus alrededor de 4000 especies descritas, los anfibios poseen una diversidad comparable e incluso un poco mayor a la de los mamíferos que tanto nos son familiares para nosotros. Colombia es el país con más especies de anfibios por únidad de área en el mundo entero. La sabana y los cerros bogotanos, pese a su muy alta elevación y a estar sujetos a cientos de años de destrucción humana, reflejan esa diversidad, con alrededor de ocho especies conocidas para la zona. A pesar de esto, los anfibios bogotanos son sorprendentemente poco conocidos por los humanos con los que coexisten. Bien sea cantando, o simplemente descansando sobre la vegetación o en ambientes húmedos, en los alrededores de la ciudad de Bogotá, se encuentran ocho especies de ranas (la rana sabanera, Dendropsophus molitor; la rana de cristal, Centrolene buckleyi; las ranas de lluvia, Pristimantis bogotensis y P. elegans; la falsa rana venenosa; Hyloxalus subpunctatus; y las muy poco frecuentes; Hyloscirtus bogotensis e Hyloxalus edwardsi) y una especie de salamandra (Bolitoglossa adspersa). Estos anfibios se pueden encontrar generalmente entre la hojarasca de bosques húmedos o páramo, y son normalmente activos durante la noche (con la excepción de las falsas ranas venenosas). La rana sabanera es probablemente el anfibio más común de los humedales bogotanos. Como resultado de esto, es la especie de anfibio bogotano más conocido por sus habitantes humanos lo cual se ve reflejado en que sea el símbolo de la empresa de acueducto de Bogotá. Alimentándose de insectos y otros invertebrados que no solo nos pueden incomodar, sino también afectar nuestros cultivos y hasta nuestra propia salud física, los anfibios son componentes muy importantes de nuestros ecosistemas, y nos prestan servicios que aún no reconocemos. Entre ellos sobresale su función como indicadores ambientales o, en otras palabras, como determinantes de qué tan “saludables” son los ambientes en los que habitan. De tal manera, cambios abruptos en qué tan comunes son las poblaciones de anfibios o aumentos inesperados en el número de anfibios malformados, nos pueden alertar de los riesgos a los que estamos siendo expuestos. Por tal motivo, es fundamental conocer más a los anfibios, no sólo por lo maravilloso de su diversidad sino también porque son un reflejo de los daños que hacemos al medio ambiente, y en últimas a nosotros mismos. En los últimos 20 años se han observado declives muy grandes en las poblaciones de anfibios alrededor del mundo. Sorprendentemente, en términos generales, los anfibios de la sabana y cerros bogotanos no parecen haber declinado a niveles tan extremos como en otras partes del mundo. Sin embargo, es claro que las poblaciones de todas las especies de la sabana y cerros bogotanos han disminuido considerablemente. De hecho, por lo menos tres especies de las especies de anfibios bogotanos son muy infrecuentes en la actualidad, a pesar de haber sido relativamente comunes en el pasado (la rana de torrente, Hyloscirtus bogotensis, la falsa rana venenosa, Hyloxalus edwardsi, y la salamandra, Bolitoglossa adspersa). Inclusive, una de ellas (la falsa rana venenosa, Hyloxalus edwardsi), no se ha podido volver a encontrar desde casi 30 años, y probablemente haya desaparecido para siempre. De tal manera, si continuamos con nuestro uso indiscriminado de sustancias químicas en el ambiente, con la urbanización y deforestación desenfrenada, no sería tan inesperado que otros anfibios siguieran ese mismo destino. Es fundamental que reconozcamos a nivel morfológico y valoremos los anfibios que tenemos en las cercanías de nuestra ciudad capital y su papel en los ecosistemas, para que los servicios que nos brindan puedan continuar para las próximas generaciones.
