Résumé :
The article focuses on the phenomenon of reduplication on the idiomatic level. Reduplicated idioms are characterized by emotional coloring, expressiveness and peculiar rhythmic melodies, they serve as a means of creating emotional expressions by giving some stylistic coloring to the context in which they are used. The groups of reduplicated idioms have been chosen from lexicographical sources, created by means of onomatopoeia, lexical repetitions in singular and plural, with linking elements (conjunctions, particles) or without them. Their belonging to the morphological class of nouns, verbs, adjectives in the comparative and superlative degree of comparison, numerals, pronouns and exclamations has been established. Their inherent positive and negative connotations, the correlation with various spheres of human activity have been proved. The way of creating reduplicated idioms has been demonstrated to be productive – the alternation of vowels and consonants at the beginning and at the end of the repetition. Such word-forming processes as conversion, affixation and reduplication have taken an active part in the creation of reduplicated idioms, and in most cases transformations of forms are accompanied by semantic derivation. It has been confirmed that the practical value of the study is, first of all, that the selected examples of reduplicated idioms can be used in classes on lexicology, stylistics and serve as material for further research. We see the prospect of further research in the study of the effectiveness of the affix potential for the creation of reduplicated idioms, particularly the use of ablaut reduplication, rhyming compounds, fully reduplicated echoic expressions in different discourses.

Résumé :
The motivation of this study is to investigate micro warm coining of metals with high strength (e.g. austenitic steels) in the field of fabricating micro functional surface structures. The current micro cold coining technology, which uses punches made out of steel, is limited to soft metals, such as Al and Cu. Conducting micro cold coining on steels, leads to high tool wear and bad form filling. The approach of this study is integrating electric conductive heating into a micro coining system to realize micro warm coining of stainless steel. This paper presents the experimental and numerical analysis of micro warm coining technology using the material stainless steel 1.4401. A coupled thermal-mechanical model in the commercial Finite-Element-code ABAQUS is used to help analyzing the micro warm coining process. The results are summarized as follows: (1) Open die micro warm coining has been realized. The form filling achieved was 56%, which was three times larger than the form filling of cold micro coining on the same material. (2) Both the experiments and simulations showed that faster processing, by increasing the punch velocity, resulted in a slightly improved form filling (5% from 5 mm/s to 100 mm/s). (3) Surface chilling hindered the filling of thin ribs.

Résumé :
This paper deals with problems in the coining process for manufacturing surgical slit knife using two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) finite element (FE) simulations. The FE simulations are performed to investigate the material flow, and especially stress distribution on the coining dies. The main objective of this paper is to study the feasibility of a coining process for manufacturing a given geometry of surgical slit knife without forming defects and die failure. Very high stress distribution on the coining dies is found by 2D simulations of the coining process that exceeds the strength limit of the die material. The optimum preform and preforming die geometry are determined by FE simulations in order to reduce the die stress. 3D simulations of the preforming and coining processes are conducted with the optimal design to show that the geometry of the product can be achieved without defects by the coining process.

Résumé :
The requirements on tools used in the production of coins include high quality and reliability, dependent on the materials from which they are made, on manufacturing technology, heat treatment and final operations achieving functional area modification. Properties of the material of coins vary during their production and there is the so-called operational degradation that can be caused by an inappropriate technology of manufacturing. The quality of coining dies is expressed as their service life which ranges from approximately one hundred thousand to one million pieces of coins produced. Therefore, it is necessary to pay enough attention to the service life of coining dies. Surface treatment in the form of the application of hard PVD coatings is one of the ways of increasing the durability of coining die.In the present study, we analysed and tested three types of coatings deposited onto coining dies made of tool steel.

Résumé :
Abstract We develop the notion of pattern of coining found in some complete-inheritance models of Construction Grammar (Fillmore 1997; Kay 2013), which are processes used to coin new units based on analogy with an existing one. Unlike constructions, they cannot be considered systematically productive in synchrony. After providing measurement methods, we assess the productivity of three patterns (‧whelm, ‧licious and ‧holic). To do so, we carried out a statistical analysis using two web corpora. Unlike Kay, we show that the difference between constructions and patterns of coining is not so clear-cut, since patterns of coining may undergo constructionalization, and that qualitative aspects should be taken into account along with quantitative data when trying to assess the status of a word-formation pattern.

Résumé :
In this article, I explore how a contemporary religion affects the self-understanding of its adherents and may contribute to the construction of their personal identity, by examining the Wiccan practice of adopting a “Craft name.” All people tell stories to maintain a coherent personal history, and stories about their names help create a sense of identity. I offer psychological interpretations of such narratives within the context of Flemish and Dutch Wicca, illustrated with quotes from lightly structured in-depth interviews. I found that names and their referents may be either passively accepted or intuitively recognized as one’s own, and that such impressions contrast with expressive and active understandings in which a name implies one’s potency and helps to frame one’s aspirations.

Résumé :
A selective reduced integration 8-node hexahedral element for coining simulation is developed in this paper. The element is free of volume locking by assumed strain method. The standard velocity gradient matrix is derived in which the shear items are ignored to avoid shear locking. Hourglass modes are successfully suppressed without user-input parameters. The element is successfully employed in the coining simulation package - COINFORM. Numerical tests and experiments of a typical coin are carried out to show the good performances of the element.

Résumé :
Nano composites are finding increased focus and their influence on improving the matrix properties are very attractive. But the success is fully dependent on the uniform distribution and dispersion of nano reinforcements in the matrix. Manufacturing process was found to have greater role in distribution of the reinforcements. The liquid processing and solid processing like SPS and hot coining found to have different effect on the matrix due to the nature of reinforcements. Current study focussed on the microstructure study using Back scattered images and the microhardness with and without reinforcements. MWCNT was occupying the particle boundary. Hot coining was found to distribute MWCNT on the particle surface as well as on the particle boundary. Clustering was absent and resulted in improved hardness in comparison with casting as well as spark plasma sintering.

Résumé :
This paper presents a new finite element based design procedure for correcting the coining die profiles in order to optimize the distribution of pressure and the alignment of the resultant vertical force at the end of the die stroke. The procedure avoids time consuming and costly try-outs, does not interfere with the creative process of the sculptors and extends the service life of the coining dies by significantly decreasing the applied pressure and bending moments. The numerical simulations were carried out in a computer program based on the finite element flow formulation that is currently being developed by the authors in collaboration with the Portuguese Mint. A new experimental procedure based on the stack compression test is also proposed for determining the stress-strain curve of the materials directly from the coin blanks.
