Informacinės technologijos turi tinkamai atlikti kontrolę, užtikrinančią informacijos saugą nuo įvairių pavojų – nepageidaujamo ar nesankcionuoto informacijos skleidimo, pakeitimo ar netekimo ir panašiai. Tarptautinių ir Lietuvos institucijų, tiriančių kompiuterių saugos incidentus, duomenimis, informacijos saugos pažeidimų skaičius nemažėja. Įvairūs tyrimai, atlikti Lietuvos valstybinių ir nepriklausomų organizacijų, rodo, kad Lietuvoje nėra specialių informacijos saugos specialistų rengimostudijų programų, nors jų poreikis yra akivaizdus. Total number of information security breaches unabated, according to Worldwide and Lithuanian institutions inquiring computer security incidents. In recent years a number of Government and independence Lithuanian organizations have recognized the need for security education in Lithuania (especially in information security), and lack of information security courses. In Europe and USA computer security course modules are taught as separate study programs or they are integrated into existing computer science or engineering programs. In this paper we analyze information security programs curriculums and experiences of west universities in this area. We investigate the Computer and operating systems security module course curriculum where main information security priorities are included.

The article presents the author’s solutions for automating the diagnosis of cattle diseases, discusses approaches to managing the planning and implementation of veterinary measures implemented in the computer programs “CORALL – Diagnosis of cattle diseases” and “CORALL – Cattle farm: Herd management”, estimates the economic efficiency of the introduction and use of automated systems. The development of specialized information systems for livestock enterprises was carried out by two developers – B.V. Lukyanov and P.B. Lukyanov (the author of the article). The presence of personal computers on farms makes it possible to transfer into specialized computer programs a significant part of the routine work on planning, accounting and control of veterinary measures, and when diagnosing animal diseases, computers make it possible to actively use automated diagnostic expert systems. The introduction of modern information technologies into the practice of the zootechnician and veterinarian significantly increases the accuracy and validity of measures to protect animals and prevent diseases, and also allows to achieve more effective management of operational activities with herd animals. The use of the expert system «CORALL – Diagnosis of cattle diseases» is disclosed. This system is focused on two types of users: an Expert who fills in the knowledge base, and a User who uses the system for diagnosing diseases and obtaining certificates. When considering the software package «CORALL – Cattle farm: Herd management», the main attention is paid to the functions of planning, control and registration of veterinary measures both for an individual animal and for a planned group. Practical recommendations are given on the use of CORALL software systems when using them at livestock enterprises.

The modern period of development of the information society is characterized by the need to modernize the education system. The training of a future mathematics teacher should be organized in such a way that in addition to basic knowledge, future teachers should master various applications of mathematics, be able to model various processes and phenomena, and use modern information technologies in the process of solving mathematical problems. The use of computers and computer programs in the educational process changes the role of learning tools in teaching. In our study, we consider the computer as one of the components of the entire system of learning tools, which, in addition to the computer, includes traditional learning tools that ensure the teaching of an educational subject. This paper shows some advantages and disadvantages of computer mathematics systems in the course of differential equations. Computer programs that allow us to implement numerical, analytical and graphical methods for solving differential equations are considered.

This article presents a process for the reengineering of computer-based control systems, and describes tools that automate portions of the process. The intermediate representation (IR) for capturing features of computer-based systems during reverse engineering is presented. A novel feature of the IR is that it incorporates the control system software architecture, a view that enables information to be captured at five levels of granularity: the program level, the task level, the package level, the subprogram level, and the statement level. A reverse engineering toolset that constructs the IR from Ada programs, displays the IR, and computes concurrency, communication and object-orientedness metrics is presented. Also described is the design of hypermedia techniques that enhance the usability of the reverse engineering tools.

Over the past decade, two types of decision aids, i.e., decision support systems (DSS) and expert systems (ES), have been developed along parallel paths, showing some significant differences in their software architectures, capabilities, limitations, and other characteristics. The synergy of DSS and ES, however, has great potential for helping make possible a generalized approach to developing a decision aid that is powerful, intelligent, and friendly. This research establishes a framework for such decision aids in order to determine the elementary components and their interactions. Based on this framework, a generalized intelligent problem solving system (GIPSS) is deveolped as a decision aid generator. A relational model is designed to provide a unified logical view of each type of knowledge including factual data, modeling knowledge, and heuristic rules. In this knowledge model, a currently existing relational DBMS, with some extension, is utilized to manage each type of knowledge. For this purpose a relational resolution inference mechanism has been devised. A prototype GIPSS has been developed based on this framework. Two domain specific decision aids, COCOMO which estimates software development effort and cost, and CAPO which finds optimal process organization, have been implemented by using the GIPSS as a decision aid generator, demonstrating such features as its dynamic modeling capabilities and learning capabilities.

AbstractState-of-the-art program-analysis techniques are not yet able to effectively verify safety properties of heterogeneous systems, that is, systems with components implemented using diverse technologies. This shortcoming is pinpointed by programs invoking neural networks despite their acclaimed role as innovation drivers across many application areas. In this paper, we embark on the verification of system-level properties for systems characterized by interaction between programs and neural networks. Our technique provides a tight two-way integration of a program and a neural-network analysis and is formalized in a general framework based on abstract interpretation. We evaluate its effectiveness on 26 variants of a widely used, restricted autonomous-driving benchmark.

Review question / Objective: To identify empirical studies that measured the feasibility and effect of computer-based executive function stimulation and rehabilitation programs in the young and middle adult population. Background: Reviews that evaluate the effectiveness of computerized cognitive training programs on executive functions in different population groups have shown contradictory results, to a certain extent associated with the methodological characteristics of said studies (Gates et al., 2019; 2020); most of them These reviews have focused on older adults (Ten Brinke et al., 2020; Yoo et al., 2015) with stroke sequelae, and adults with cognitive impairment. These studies have found improvements in general cognitive function in older adults (Ten Brinke et al., 2020); however, the effect on executive functions have not been studied. Only one review was carried out on the average adult (Gates et al., 2019); the authors restricted the search to interventions with more than 12 weeks and only found one article with eligibility criteria. Their work concluded that computerized cognitive training in midlife demonstrated lasting effects on general cognitive function after 12 weeks of training and on memory after 24 weeks of training.

Résumé :
The article analyzes the phenomenon of augmented reality (AR) in education. AR is a new technology that complements the real world with the help of computer data. Such content is tied to specific locations or activities. Over the last few years, AR applications have become available on mobile devices. AR becomes available in the media (news, entertainment, sports). It is starting to enter other areas of life (such as e-commerce, travel, marketing). But education has the biggest impact on AR. Based on the analysis of scientific publications, the authors explored the possibilities of using augmented reality in education. They identified means of augmented reality for teaching computer science at school. Such programs and services allow students to observe the operation of computer systems when changing their parameters. Students can also modify computer hardware for augmented reality objects and visualize algorithms and data processes. The article describes the content of author training for practicing teachers. At this event, some applications for training in AR technology were considered. The possibilities of working with augmented reality objects in computer science training are singled out. It is shown that the use of augmented reality provides an opportunity to increase the realism of research; provides emotional and cognitive experience. This all contributes to engaging students in systematic learning; creates new opportunities for collaborative learning, develops new representations of real objects.

In this paper, the authors share findings from a qualitative analysis of computer science teachers’ perspectives about equity within the context of an equity-focused professional development program. Drawing upon a framework emphasizing educator belief systems in perpetuating inequities in computer science education and the importance of equity-focused teacher professional development, we explored how computer science teachers understand the issue of equity in the classroom. We analyzed survey data from a sample of participants in a computer science professional development program, which revealed that teachers have distinct ways of framing their perceptions of equity and also different perspectives about what types of strategies help to create equitable, inclusive classrooms reflective of student identity and voice.
