Résumé :

Automating the task of scoring descriptive answer is considered. Due to increasing number of courses and appearing students many hours of examiner and a lot of efforts are required for effective evaluation. Computer and technologies can be used to solve such complex problem. The goal is to evaluate and assign scores to descriptive answer which are comparable to those of human assigned score by coupling AI technologies. This process involves extraction and segmentation of words, removal of stop words, stemming. The scoring system is based on Machine Learning technology and Natural Language Processing. As a result the computer can assign score as good as human being.

Résumé :

There are several classification schemes in which a piece of text is evaluated on the basis of spelling, semantics and meaning. But, lots of these aren’t successful. Some of the models available to rate the response scripts include Simple Long Short Term Memory (LSTM), Deep LSTM. In addition to that Convolution Neural Network and Bi-directional LSTM is considered here to refine the result. The model uses convolutional neural networks and bidirectional LSTM networks to learn local information of words and capture long-term dependency information of contexts on the Tensorflow and Keras deep learning framework. The embedding semantic representation of texts can be used for computing semantic similarities between pieces of texts and to grade them based on the similarity score. The experiment used methods for data optimization, such as data normalization and dropout, and tested the model on an Automated Student Evaluation Short Response Scoring, a commonly used public dataset. By comparing with the existing systems, the proposed model has achieved the state-of-the-art performance and achieves better results in the accuracy of the test dataset.

Résumé :

The manual method of descriptive answer evaluation inherently comes with a lot of problems like the stressful nature of the task, the subjectivity of the grading process as well as the delayed delivery of results. This research involved the development of a computer-based test platform utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP) as a transformative solution for evaluating descriptive answer examinations. The motivation for this project are the issues of slow turnaround times, potential bias, and limited scalability faced in the manual method of evaluating descriptive answers. Leveraging a state-of-the-art large language model, the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js and Node.js) stack and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), a system that meticulously analyzes student responses using criteria like textual semantic similarity, keyword matching and answer length, was developed. The results of the project include timely and accurate feedback, alleviating anxieties and uncertainties around students’ performances. It showed that descriptive questions can evaluate students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, unlike objective tests. Meanwhile, lecturers are relieved of the immense stress associated with traditional manual grading, fostering a more positive and productive learning environment.

Project quality management is a process to keep the project still fulfilled the quality level based on the demand or plan. Quality Plan Agreement is Quality Management System document that is very important in construction project. This research’s aims are to assess the quality implementation level based on Descriptive Analysis Method on Upgrading Irigation Area Project Way Sekampung, Ground Sub-Job. Evaluation of descriptive answers is important for analyzing the growth of students. It may be helpful for a job interview, for academic purposes, and in many more fields. In this research we discussed the importance of evaluating descriptive answers for analyzing student growth and how it is useful in various fields. With the increase in online exams due to the pandemic, objective-type questions are evaluated through different software, but there is a lack of system for evaluating descriptive answers.As manual evaluation is time-consuming, the probability approach is used in this research, which is compared with a pre trained model and cosine similarity approach.In this research, we have used a probability approach, a pre-trained model, a cosine similarity approach, and compared it with a manually assigned score by a subject expert. The analysis concludes that the probability approach provides efficient results compared to other methods.

AbstractIsrael is often described as a Jewish state and as the locus of Jewish self-determination. How should these phrases be understood? How can they be squared with a commitment to equal citizenship for non-Jewish Israelis? This Article distinguishes between descriptive and normative answers to these questions. The descriptive answer interprets the phrases as referring to the fact that a majority of Israelis are Jewish. The normative answer reads into the phrases a special obligation to promote the common good of the Jewish people. The Article argues that the phrases are unobjectionable when taken in the descriptive sense, but problematic when understood in the normative sense. A state that is guided by the normative answer would offer inadequate protection to key interests of minorities. The critique of the normative answer also points to the more positive conclusion that Israel should foster an Israeli civic identity amongst all its citizens.

This study aims to determine the barriers of Physical Education teachers in writing scientific papers at SMK Sekota Bengkulu. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with one shot case study method. The population in this study were Physical Education teachers at the Bengkulu City Vocational School, which amounted to 15 teachers. Sampling used a total sampling consisting of 15 teachers. The instrument used in the form of a teacher's questionnaire about physical education teachers' obstacles in writing scientific papers at SMK in Bengkulu city. The instrument in the form of a teacher questionnaire used has been validated by researchers with expert validation. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative descriptive analysis technique with percentages. The results showed that the physical education teacher's obstacles in writing scientific papers at SMK Sekota Bengkulu in the physical education teacher questionnaire with a comprehensive category that limited time in writing scientific papers with a percentage of 67% chose the answer YES while 33% chose the answer no. Then the category of lack of motivation in scientific writing with a percentage of 73% choosing the answer YES while 27% who chose the answer no. Furthermore, the category of lack of understanding in writing scientific papers with a percentage of 67% chose the answer YES while 33% chose the answer no.

This research is a descriptive study with the focus of the research is 10th grade students of Elementary School 206 Apala Bone Regency. The change from the 2013 curriculum to the independent curriculum has an impact on assessment, one of which is summative assessment. Summative assessment uses multiple choice questions, but the quality of the questions has not been analysed. This descriptive quantitative research aims to determine the quality of summative assessment questions in Biology class X odd semester which includes validity, reliability, difficulty level, and differentiating power. Research subjects were all grade X students. Object of research includes question grids, answer keys, questions, and student answer sheets. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, and Kurmer Yogyakarta Pilot Project High School was selected. Data were collected through documentation. The instruments in this study were question grids, answer keys, questions, and student answer sheets. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis using Winsteps software version 3.73. The results of quantitative analysis of summative assessment questions in four schools showed valid results. The questions proved to be reliable, with difficulty levels in the easy and difficult categories. The questions had good and sufficient differentiating power. Distractor effectiveness was rated as poor, very good, good, and fair. Qualitative analysis of the 4 schools showed good results, but some improvements were still needed.

The present study aimed to determine the level of knowledge hold by pre-service science teachers about laboratory safety. 50 pre-service teachers participated in the study. The study employed a basic qualitative research design and data were collected through a questionnaire comprising 12 items. The items were written as scenarios and two answer choices were presented for each item. The participants were asked to mark one of these choices and explain the rationale for their answers. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis technique and the participant responses for each scenario were divided into four categories: (a) correct answer with correct justification, (b) correct answer with partially correct justification, (c) correct answer with incorrect justification, and (d) incorrect answer. The results revealed that the participants generally provided correct responses to the items, but they did not justify their answers accurately.

The purpose of this study is to find out how mathematical communication ability of students slow in learning to solve the problem of waking flat in SD Negeri 1 Sukamaju Abung semuli north Lampung. The research method used is descriptive research using qualitative approach. The result of the research can be concluded is that the students write communication is slower to learn better than oral communication, it can be seen from the result of the answer of the student who answer the correct bigger than the student answer that correct answer in oral communication. It is said that students are slow to learn to have limitations to talk or convey ideas so they are more silent or even just smiling.

Résumé :

The purpose of this research work was to evaluate the marking process for the annual examinations of the University of Sargodha. To achieve the objective, the quality of marking process, observation of answer scripts and perception of evaluators were recorded. The study was descriptive in nature. A convergent/parallel mixed-method design was used to perform the study. Two types of research tools were utilized to collect data i.e. interview schedules and an observation rating scale. A multistage sampling technique was applied to determine the sample. The data were collected from 489 answer scripts, and 18 evaluators of Education Department, University of Sargodha. Quantitative data were examined by descriptive analysis technique and qualitative data were explored through thematic analysis technique. Quantitative analysis disclosed that every 11th answer script has a mistake in marking as on average. The respondents of the study believed that marking of the answer scripts was not up to the mark as non- provision of rubrics, not following the instructional performa and committing mistakes and negligence in evaluation were the issues that made fair and transparent marking impossible. The present study will be supportive in provision of empirical evidence through identification of strength and weakness of quality of marking process, which in turn help University of Sargodha in improving its practices.

This research aims to determine students' difficulties in solving mathematics questions on number operations by analyzing using qualitative descriptive methods for Class IV students at SDN 101765 Bandar Setia. The analytical method that will be used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method based on Newman's theory. The results of the research show that there are learning difficulties experienced by students at this school, based on findings in the field the learning difficulties experienced are difficulty reading and understanding questions, processing and transformative difficulties, difficulty writing answers. Difficulty reading and understanding the questions was seen in students who were unable to answer the researcher's questions about fraction operations. The results of the document show that there are still some students who have not been able to complete fraction calculations. Processing and transformative difficulties were seen in students who were unable to answer the researcher's questions about fraction operations. The document results show that there are still some students who have not been able to complete fraction calculations. And difficulties in writing answers are seen in students who have been able to do all the steps, but when it comes to determining the answer they cannot. In this research, students were still unable to multiply the answers with the correct answer.

Research Problems: Provincial Sports Week Jambi 2026 in Tanjung Jabung Barat requires a well-prepared Sports Centre as the main venue. Research Objectives: This study aimed to determine the state of sports centre facilities and infrastructure in Tanjung Jabung Barat towards the Provincial Sports Week Jambi in 2026. Methods: This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach to assess the facilities, management, and sustainability of the Sport Centre. The sample used was 50 respondents with a sampling technique using Purposive Sampling. The data analysis method uses quantitative and descriptive analysis, using SPSS Version 29. Results: The research shows that the infrastructure indicator received an answer in the "strongly agree" category of 62%, the sports branch facilities and infrastructure indicator received an answer in the "strongly agree" category of 58%, the operational management indicator received an answer in the "strongly agree" category of 54%, and the sustainable aspect indicator received an answer in the "strongly agree" category of 70%. Conclusion: This Management includes routine maintenance but faces coordination and regulatory challenges. Sustainability efforts should involve budget allocation, community use, and private sector collaboration. With improvements, the Sport Centre can serve as an optimal venue for Provincial Sports Week Jambi 2026 and a long-term sports hub.

An Automated examination system for evaluation and descriptive test is an online based examination system in which exams are conducted online. The primary purpose of this Smart Examination system is to build an automated examination system. There is no need of paper and pen. Here students can write exam using internet or intranet. We will mainly use Machine Learning, Natural language processing (NLP) that generates a descriptive test automatically. The main objectives are analyzing sentence and find the semantic meaning of student answer and compare with actual answer defined by instructor and then assigns final scores. Now compare the automated evaluated score with the manual evaluated score with a specific threshold if threshold is deviated then with use of machine learning algorithm can improve the automated evaluation process. It saves lot of valuable time of teachers, reduce work, and complete the evaluation on time.

Résumé :

A model capable of automatically categorizing or clustering student responses based on solution strategies would significantly benefit the operation of descriptive assessments in schools. Although research on clustering methods for descriptive answers has been conducted, there is still room for improvement as these methods have not fully reflected the unique characteristics of mathematical descriptive answers. Accordingly, this study proposes a method to improve existing clustering approaches by developing a tokenizer more suitable for mathematics and utilizing N-gram extraction of variables in mathematical expressions for clustering. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, responses to five descriptive questions were collected, and the performance of clustering models applying the proposed method was compared with existing approaches. The results demonstrated that the new tokenizer and feature extraction method maintained or improved performance across most clustering models. This study is significant in demonstrating that incorporating the characteristics of mathematical descriptive answers into tokenization and variable extraction techniques can enhance clustering performance, providing an effective approach for grading assistance in descriptive assessments.

Résumé :

This research aims at finding out the secondary school students’ voices towards good English teachers’ characteristics and the most dominant good teachers’ characteristics preferred by the students. This research employed descriptive method supported by descriptive statistics. There were thirty-two students participated in this research who were in the second year in 2012. The instrument used in this research was the checklist in which the students were asked to choose the descriptions which consisted of three choices; disagree, agree, and disagree. The research reports illustrate that students' voices toward good English teachers' characteristics in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at a secondary school in Indonesia are ranging from explaining lesson objective clearly to provide jokes while teaching. The most dominant good teachers' characteristics preferred by the secondary school students were "gives clear explanation" in which there were 56.25% students gave "strongly agree" answer. There were also "56.25% students gave "strongly agree" answer to "the teacher should provide jokes or funny stories in the classroom setting." There were 65.62% students gave "agree" answer to "the teacher should use a variety of materials." There were 65.62% students gave "agree" answer to "the teacher should be relaxed and he should create a pleasant atmosphere." Well prepared is also important in the classroom, where there were 62.5% students gave "agree" answer to this statement. There were 43.75% students gave "disagree" answer to “gives follow up/feedback.” Even though, the “disagree” choice to this statement is highest than other choices in the “disagree” choice but the “agree” and “strongly agree” choice have higher score, because the accumulation of the total score is 56.25%. In the twenty-first century, the education world must fulfill the demands for teaching and learning connected to thinking abilities. For people who are more nuanced and intellectual, the ability to think is necessary. Students must be able to think to reach their learning objectives. Teachers face dilemmas in the classroom in terms of higher-order thinking skills. Teachers incorporate higher-order thinking skills into the teaching and learning process to provide experiences to students, especially in answering questions about higher-order thinking skills. Students often have difficulty answering HOTS questions. As a result, students have difficulty answering reading comprehension questions. This study aimed to explore what students' LOTS and HOTS were in response to reading questions. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative. Data was collected by giving a reading test to 18 students. The instrument used in collecting data is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the student's ability to answer reading questions based on the LOTS was good. Second, the ability of students to answer reading questions based on HOTS is lacking. Third, the difference in student's ability to answer reading questions based on LOT and HOT is enough. As a result of these findings, students' ability to answer reading questions based on LOTS and HOTS should be improved.

AbstractThe feeling of being offended, as a moral emotion, plays a key role in issues such as slurs, the offense principle, ethics of humor, etc. However, no adequate theory of offense has been developed in the literature, and it remains unclear what questions such a theory should answer. This paper attempts to fill the gap by performing two tasks. The first task is to clarify and summarize the questions of offense into two kinds, the descriptive questions (e.g., what features differentiate offense from similar moral states like anger?) and the normative questions (e.g., what are the conditions for taking offense to be apt?). The second task is to answer these questions by developing what I call ‘the violated norm theory of offense’. According to this theory, feeling offended entails that the norm one endorses is judged to be violated by the offender. Appealing to the violated norm enables this theory to answer the descriptive questions (e.g., taking offense differs from anger because of features like not requiring victims and the difficulty of animal offense) and the normative questions of offense (e.g., taking offense is apt only if the violated norm is universalizable).

<em>The students' ability to solve mathematical problems are affected directly or indirectly by their pattern of problem solving when they were attending primary and secondary schools. The result of observation shows that there are students who can not answer proving problem and take no action at all, thoughit is only at the step of understanding the problem. NEA is a frame work with simple diagnostic procedures, which include (1) decoding, (2) comprehension, (3) transformation, (4) process skills, and (5) encoding. Newman’s developed diagnostic method is used to identify the error categories of descriptive test answer. Therefore, the descriptive types of students’ error in proving problem solving in Geometry 1 subject based on Newman’s error Analysis (NEA), and what are the causes for the student’s mistakes in solving those proving problem, especially in Geometry1 subject is interesting to be discussed in this article.</em>

This article is about Alan's schizophrenia in Peter Shaffer's play Equus. Schizophrenia is a kind of mental disorder. The symptoms of Alan's schizophrenia as well as its causes are analyzed and it is related to theory of Freud's psychoanalysis. The research method is descriptive qualitative research method. By using descriptive qualitative research method, the data are processed qualitatively and explained descriptively to answer the research problem statements. The answer of the first problem statement is about the symptoms of Alan's schizophrenia and its causes exposed in the play. The symptoms are delusion and hallucination. Dr. Dysart, as a psychiatrist tries to find out why Alan always adores horse, and he is surprised when one night he blinds six horses with a spike when he has a date with a girl named Jill. He shows some symptoms of schizophrenia like delusion and hallucination through his actions and misinterpretation of a horse. Dysart uses some methods during the treatment to help him cover the things such as hypnosis and give drugs. The answer of the second problem statement shows how Alan's schizophrenia is seen from Freud's psychoanalysis theory Alan' actions and behaviors show that they are influenced by id, ego, and superego.

The aims of this research are to develop a hopscotch board for learning reading of a descriptive text in junior high schools, know the validity of the developed hopscotch board for learning reading of the descriptive text, and gain the teachers’ and students’ responses toward the developed hopscotch board for learning reading of the descriptive text. This research adapted Research and Development (R&D) design based on Sugiyono’s model, which includes: (1) Finding potential and problem solution; (2) Design and development; (3) Experts validation and revision; (4) Teachers’ and students’ responses; (5) Evaluation by experts and revision; and (6) Final product. The findings revealed that: (1) the model of developed hopscotch board for learning reading descriptive text consisted of a hopscotch board, markers, ownership signs, how to play (for one group instruction and more than one group instruction), cards (reading descriptive cards, exercise cards, a key answer of exercise cards, punishment cards, and key answer of punishment cards), and 2 guidebooks (for teacher and students). (2) The developed hopscotch board was valid, it was proved by the result of material experts’ validation of 95% (very valid), and media experts’ validation of 95% (very valid). Furthermore, (3) Students and teachers gave positive responses toward the developed hopscotch board as learning media for learning to read the descriptive text as reflected in the result of the questionnaire given in which got 89% (very good) from students and 90% (very good) from the teachers. From the result above, we can infer that the developed hopscotch board was valid and appropriate to be used as an alternative media for learning reading of the descriptive text in junior high schools.

This research aimed to analyze students' reading difficulties in understanding the descriptive text. This research applied descriptive qualitative research. The objects in this research were students' difficulties in the learning process in reading instruction of descriptive text, especially in finding the main idea or central theme, locating specific information, determining textual reference, and getting the meaning of a word or phrase. Students' sources of difficulties derived from the preliminary test results in understanding different descriptive texts, especially the main idea or central theme, specific information, textual reference, and word or phrase referential meaning of descriptive texts of a person, an animal, and a procedure. The subjects of this research were the seven grade students, consisting of 22 students in a class, and documents of students' test results were from difficulties in understanding descriptive texts of a person, an animal, and a procedure. The data were collected in the forms of primary and secondary data. The instruments used by the researcher to collect the data were the researcher as the main instrument, a non-objective test or short answer test consisting of 30 short answer questions related to descriptive texts of a person, an animal, and a procedure, and a focused group interview guide. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively. The results of this research show that students had difficulties in reading three descriptive texts based on reading indicators such as deducing the main idea or central theme, locating specific information, textual reference, and getting a word or phrase meaning. The sources of reading difficulties were identified by the researcher in an interview session with 5 representative students, namely having a limited vocabulary, lack of reading interest, lack of background knowledge or absence of knowledge, and the complexity of words or sentences in the text.

This study aims to analyze the students’ mathematical problem-solving characteristics based on cognitive style that is field independent, field dependent, reflective, and impulsive. Fourty-five students of VIII grade at PGRI 5 Junior High School were involved. The students were given 4 descriptive math problems. The result showed that the characteristics of independent field cognitive style showed that could understand the problems, determined the right problem planning, careless in solving, and did not re-check the answer. The subject could solve questions faster than the specified time, but the answer was wrong. For the characteristics of field dependent cognitive style, they could understand the problems, determined the right problem planning, careless in solving, and did not re-check the answer. The subject could not solve questions on time, but the answers tended to be correct. For the characteristics of reflective cognitive style, they did not understand the problems, determined the right problem planning, quite careless in solving, and did not re-check the answer. The subject could solve questions faster than the specified time, but the answer was wrong. For the characteristics of impulsive cognitive style, they did not understand the problems, determined the right problem planning, quite careless in solving, and did not re-check the answer. The subject could solve questions on time, but the answers tended to be wrong.

This study aims to measure the level of financial literacy of lecturers in Palembang. The method of analysis in this research is descriptive analysis. The number of respondents in this study were 153 respondents. Data collection techniques used survey techniques with questionnaires. Financial literacy index is determined through four stages: (1) Grouping of financial literacy variables in 2 groups, namely basic financial literacy and advanced financial literacy, (2) giving score 1 for correct answer and 0 for other answer that is unknow, wrong answer and refused to answer, (3) Calculate the weight of each variable by using simple weight, (4) Calculate index of financial literacy. The results showed that on average the basic financial literacy of lecturers in Palembang was included in the moderate category, while the average advanced financial literacy was in the low category. The level of financial literacy or Financial Literacy Index as a whole including the low category. Distribution of basic financial literacy based on gender and age average dominant in high category reverse dominant advanced financial literacy distribution in low category.

This study responds to the increasing needs of persons with disabilities in the current digital era due to difficulties in accessing and obtaining information. Limitations and abilities possessed by persons with disabilities as special needs users fcilited by the library with their special repackaging information in their Difabel Corner to be able to provide equal services for general users and special needs users. This research uses mixed methods, qualitative descriptive method and quantitative descriptive method. Qualitative descriptive method is to answer problem formulation related to the process of repackaging information with data obtained through interviews, observations and documents. Quantitative descriptive method is to answer the formulation of the problem relating to the percentage of collections that have been repackaged with data obtained by using descriptive statistical methods. Qualitative data validation test uses Expert Judgment. While the quantitative data validation test uses non-test with the institution's note instrument which is obtained directly from the website at difarepositories.uin-suka.ac.id. The results showed that in the repackaging of information at the Sunan Kalijaga UIN Library had been carried out with the form of media transfer, namely digitizing printed collections in the library. This collection can be accessed through difarepositories.uin-suka.ac.id/ and supported by tools adaptive for people with disabilities. But the percentage of information repackaging is still small, at only 0.478%. In addition, it is only intended for the visually impaired, whereas other disabled persons have not been facilitated by repackaging information in accordance with the limitations in the library.

The main purpose of this study is to describe the errors and causes of student errors in solving math story problems with a two-variable linear equation system based on the Newman procedure. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach which was carried out at SMP Negeri 3 Salomekko. The subjects of this study consisted of 3 people who were taken each 1 student with low ability, medium ability and high ability. Data collection techniques used test and interview methods, and instrument validation was carried out with 2 expert validation stages. Technical data analysis using descriptive analysis and qualitative data analysis starting from data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study, it was concluded that high-ability subjects made misunderstandings and errors in writing the final answer. Subjects who are capable of making transformation errors, process skill errors and writing errors in the final answer. Low-ability subjects made reading errors, understanding errors, transformation errors, process skills errors and writing errors in the final answer. The causes of student errors are 1) reading errors are caused by haste and confusion in interpreting the meaning of the word. 2) misunderstandings are caused by lack of knowledge in interpreting the meaning of words and forgetting. 3) the transformation error is caused by not understanding the problem and being confused about working on the problem. 4) process skill errors are caused by lack of thoroughness and haste. 5) the error in writing the final answer is caused by lack of thoroughness, haste, and did not find the final result. Résumé :

This study aims to explain how the rules for preparing the Arabic test in the form of multiple choice tests must be understood and applied by all parties involved in the preparation of the multiple choice Arabic test. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method that is used to investigate, find, describe and explain a phenomenon. The results of the study show that there are three aspects of the rules for preparing multiple choice Arabic tests, namely material, construction and language aspects. Material rules; the subject matter must be in accordance with the indicators and competencies, must be homogeneous and logical, each question has only one answer. Construction rules; the subject matter is formulated briefly and clearly, the questions and answers contain only the necessary statements, do not provide clues towards the correct answer, do not contain double negative statements, the length of the formulation of the answer choices must be relatively the same, the answer choices may not contain the statement "all of the above answer choices are correct" or "all the answer choices above are wrong", The answer choices in the form of numbers/time are arranged based on the order of the size of the numbers or chronologically, Pictures, graphs, tables, diagrams, and the like on questions must be clear, legible, and understandable by students, Item questions should not depend on the answers to the previous questions. Answers must be arranged in a balanced, distributed and random manner. Language Rules; Each question item must use language that is in accordance with the rules of Arabic, communicative, formal and the answer choices do not repeat words or phrases that are not a unified understanding.

This research aimed to analyze students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) using a two-tier multiple choice (TTMC) test instrument. This study used a descriptive quantitative method with a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used are multiple-choice tests with free reasoning, the TTMC test for quantitative data, interview guides, and learning observations for qualitative data. Anderson and Krathwohl's Bloom taxonomy revision (2001) cognitive instrument used to classify HOTS. The results showed that the higher-order thinking skill profile has an average score of 63,21 and dominated good. Students' cognitive level of analyzing/C4 (74,35%) is more dominant compared to cognitive evaluating/C5 (68,90%) and creating/C6 (63,24%). The hormonal regulatory subconcept gets the highest correct answer average with a percentage of 89,74%, and the contraceptive method subconcept gets the lowest correct answer average with 35,90%. One factor that influences the high and low percentage of the correct answer for each subconcept is the level of difficulty of the question; medium (enough) in the contraceptive method and too tricky in the contraceptive method. Analysis of answer patterns based on the results of a TTMC test shows that students are better able to answer questions on the first tier than answering on the second tier.

Résumé :

In this paper, we foster a discussion of textual sequences according to the theoretical approach of textual discourse analysis (TDA) and promote a reflection on how these compositional units can subsidize the analysis of an online comic strip by Maurício de Sousa, posted on the Instagram profile @gibi_nostalgia. We intend to answer specifically the following questions: 1) How do the iconic images (described objects) textualize operations of the descriptive and contribute to the construction of a visual narrative? 2) Which textual-discursive functions does the descriptive assume in the construction of meaning(s)? To answer these questions, we remain on level 5 of the analysis, the compositional structure, and focus on the textual sequences and their functions in the textual organization of the selected comic strip. We establish an interface between the TDA (Adam, 2011; 2019) and studies of the descriptive (Marquesi, 2004; 2007; 2017; 2018), of the visual sign (GRUPO µ, 1993) as well as of comics (Acevedo, 1990; Cagnin, 2014; Ramos, 2007; 2009), according to the features and specifications of this genre. The analyses undertaken showed that, with due adaptations, notions of textual sequences are also valid for verbo-visual texts, specifically so for the analyzed comic strip, and they give relevant orientations for the construction of meaning(s).

Résumé :

This study aims to determine the quality of learning Physical Education Sports and Health (PJOK) material on rhythmic activities implemented by PJOK teachers. This research includes descriptive research using a mixed method design by combining quantitative data as the primary data and qualitative as secondary data. The sample of this study was 116 elementary physical education teachers in DIY using a random sampling method. This research instrument uses an online questionnaire adopting the QPE (Quality Physical Education) instrument, modified according to research needs. There are three variables and 19 questions in this instrument, with the results namely (1) Quality teaching as many as six indicators, of all respondents there were 39% respondents chose the answer Yes, and as many as 61% chose the answer No. (2) Skill Development and Bodily Physical Education as many as six indicators. (2) Skill Development and Bodily Awareness as many as eight indicators, 42% of respondents chose the answer Yes, and 58% chose the answer No. (3) Cognitive Skill Development as many as five indicators, 37% of respondents chose the answer Yes, and 63% chose the answer No. The results illustrate that most respondents still choose Yes, and 63% choose No. These results illustrate that most respondents still cannot correctly fulfill the quality of rhythmic activity learning due to various factors according to the qualitative data presented in each variable, with the average data of the answer "yes" of 39%, which is in the category of poor quality.
