Peptide nucleic acid can recognise sequences in double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) through the formation of a double-duplex invasion complex. This double-duplex invasion is a promising method for the recognition of dsDNA in cellula because peptide nucleic acid (PNA) invasion does not require the prior denaturation of dsDNA. To increase its applicability, we developed PNAs modified with a nuclear localisation signal (NLS) peptide. In this study, the characteristics of NLS-modified PNAs were investigated for the future design of novel peptide-modified PNAs.

Résumé :
Purpose – The aim of this study is to perform a comparative study on sandwich structures with several types of three-dimensional (3D) reticulate cellular structural core designs for their low-energy impact absorption abilities using powder bed additive manufacturing methods. 3D reticulate cellular structures possess promising potentials in various applications with sandwich structure designs. One of the properties critical to the sandwich structures in applications, such as aerospace and automobile components, is the low-energy impact performance. Design/methodology/approach – Sandwich samples

Résumé :
Lipid Nanoparticles (LNPs) are a leading class of mRNA delivery systems. LNPs are made of an ionizable lipid, a polyethyleneglycol (PEG)-lipid conjugate and helper lipids. The success of LNPs is due to proprietary ionizable lipids and appropriate helper lipids. Using a benchmark lipid (D-Lin-MC3) we compared the ability of three helper lipids to transfect dendritic cells in cellulo and in vivo. Studies revealed that the choice of helper lipid does not influence the transfection efficiency of immortalized cells but, LNPs prepared with DOPE (dioleylphosphatidylethanolamine) and β-sitosterol were
