The pressure drop and heat transfer in a two pass internal cooling channel with two different bend geometries is experimentally studied with the goal of improving the Thermal Performance Factor (TPF) in the coolant channel. Abstract The technique presented in this paper enables a simple, accurate and unbiased measurement of hand stiffness during human arm movements. Using a computer-controlled mechanical interface, the hand is shifted relative to a prediction of the undisturbed trajectory. Flow near airfoil surfaces is modeled using an implicit finite difference algorithm on a structured O-type mesh. During the cooling of an injected polymer, a very strong coupling exists between the thermal and mechanical phenomena. In order to fill in the mold and to compensate the effects of reduction of the thermal shrinkage, the pressure in the molding cavity is maintained to a very high level.
