The aim of the thesis is to evaluate environmental education and environmental behavior for the development of the Usti Region and propose background to this issue. A partial objective is to determine the level of environmental education in secondary schools and among the public. The work consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is elaborated on the basis of scientific literature, using methods of analysis, synthesis and comparison. The practical part is based on qualitative and quantitative sociological survey. The quantitative survey was conducted through questionnaires among high school students and the public from the Usti Region. Qualitative research was conducted between actors involved in environmental education from the same region. In conclusion, the thesis is to evaluate the environmental education in secondary schools and environmental behavior among the public in the region and proposed recommendations.

This thesis is divided in two parts. First part presents theoretical insight to the phenomenon of installation art as an artistic genre that represents the intersection of art and theatre. Individual chapters are arranged according to the type of experience that installations intermediate to the beholder. The exception is the chapter about European interwar avant-garde, in which I describe the kind of precursors of contemporary installation art. Individual examples given are chosen to adequately represent the diversity of artistic creations. Second part of the thesis consists of reflections of my own creative works.

My graduation thesis aims to monitor possibilities of how to connect teaching of two subjects at secondary grammar schools ? drama and environmental education. First part of the theses is a theoretic excursus to history, goals, meanings and common principles of both subjects. The following empirical part describes and interprets results of a research conducted among secondary grammar school teachers, whereof my goal was to prospect opinions and experience of the teachers about connection of the two subjects. In the last part, I offer several lesson plans using methods of drama for the purpose of exploring of some environmental topics. I have tested these lesson plans with secondary grammar school students and therefore I often show the reflection, give suggestions for improving and quote the students? work.

The aim of the task was to design a building situated in South Moravia near the Nové Mlýny dam with a view of Pálava hills. The house is designed with respect to the environment as extremely efficient building. Part of the ecological concept is also water management and purification. The primary function of this object is an environmental education aimed at primary schools and its students. There are two classrooms available, both of them designed for 27 children, and a lecture hall for 66 students. There is an accommodation for 60 persons including dining room arranged in the object. Also there is room for cultural events in the area, a separate building that provides refreshment and bicycle or boat rental.

This diploma work is focused on the introduction of environmental topics in teaching mathematics at the secondary schools including grammar schools. The thesis are a response to the lack of those topics in teaching at the secondary schools, which are not specified for physical sciences and timeliness of environmental problems in our community as a whole. The diploma work content are solved mathematical problems with methodological notes for math teachers. Logic interface of environmental problems with students knowledge of biology and geography for the relevant grade is the major effort of the thesis. Annexes contain worksheets for students. The aim of this diploma work is to inspire math teachers at the secondary schools to engage these problems or the environmental problems of their own in teaching.

The proposed doctoral thesis has been created with the aim to create a new modern concept of Environmental Education at primary schools, a concept that would reflect the changing conditions at schools and react to the changes in the behavioural patterns of the pupils (see Att 1/7). Czech Environmental Education bears all the signs of a "good programme": it has tradition, teachers, gurus, international contacts, a history, and a future (Činčera, 2007). A scientific thesis however cannot be content with (mostly) intuitive theories the way Czech Environmental Education has been. For the newly emerging Environmental Education field, there is the natural tendency to revise and scientifically suppport all of the generally accepted truths, to verify the methodology, conduct evaluation and self-evaluation, and sometimes to try to discover the undiscovered. The proposed doctoral thesis aims at revising, discovering and innovating the research fields of Environmental Education at primary schools. As a scientific basis, Grounded Theory was used (Strauss, Corbin, 1998). Quantitative validation was used (triangulation - see Denzin, 1989). The research project was conducted in five closely connected phases.

This diploma thesis deals with the environmental education of young people and it highlights its importance for the transfer towards the sustainable society. It emphasizes the need to get into the core of the problem, which is the emotional alienation of present-day people from the nature and environment. In the theoretical part it proves the existence of many various attitudes towards the world and the possibility of environmental education to bring students to those less self-centred and more considerate. It then presents the basis of environmental education, its development and mainly its trends reflecting today's need to focus on environmental sensitivity and personal responsibility of each individual. It shows that both areas are possible to cultivate in lessons of civics and social sciences, which provide significant space for the integration of environmental education. SUMMARY: Environmental education is not a matter of only educational system but of the integrity of all external influences which affect people in the course of their life. Also state administration plays an important role the basic element of which is a municipality potentially comprising a very important task. The thesis aims to highlight the possibility how state authorities may affect implementation of CEPA with stress on educational system. The thesis is divided into three sections - theoretical, analytic and propositional chapters. The theoretical part focuses on starting situation, progress, goals and tasks of EEA projects and legislation. The analytic part deals with gathered facts and evaluates them from the point of the state of CEPA implementation within the area of a chosen municipality with extended powers. The main object of the thesis is to determine, whether has the environmental education positive impact to a transport behavior of pupils and to their exploitation environmentally friendly means of transport. The diploma thesis focuses on the cross-curricular theme the Environmental Education according to the Czech Educational Programme. The aim of it is to show the implementation of the teaching about the current problems connected to the conservation of the environment in different segments of the Czech educational process. The first chapter deals with the Environmental Education in general - its characteristics, the interconnections with the other school subjects, the topics and the expected recommended outcomes. The second chapter describes the teaching of Environmental Education in the Czech Republic and in the selected countries of the European Union. The theses deals with the cooperation between the kindergarten Kytička in Milevsko and family with a focus on environmental education. The theoretical part characterizes family and kindergarten, their aims and function, cooperation between the school and family and its development, the roles of parents and teachers, communication between educational institutions, the environmental education and the project called "The School Garden Together". The practical part contains the research poll which is focused on teachers' statements and statements of parents whose children attent the kindergarten. The survey revealed that although the teachers aim at good cooperation, the parents are only passive consumers of actions and they don't participate in the creation of these actions. The teachers are dissapointed by parents' unwillingness.

The topic of my thesis is "Environmental project and its use in a nursery school." All work is divided into three parts. In the first, theoretic passage, there is the project described with its important parts. It is also focused on environmental education, its brief characteristic and integration into the general educational programme for preschool education. A professional literature has been the source for this part of my work. The second, practical section, is aimed at children's familiarization with nature. Using games, picture materials and especially watching created the kids' awareness of natural environment. I aimed all activities in such a way that they were in harmony with the age and individual possibilities of children. Last chapter is the research part. This section conducts a survey of fear of nature in the case of preschool children. The final evaluation has generated many interesting findings.

The diploma thesis analyses the importance of educational programs and environmental education in the rural primary schools. The thesis concentrates on the identification of problems and their solutions within the framework of the educational programs and materials, provided by Správa národního parku Podyjí (Podyjí National Park Administration). The work has used comparative method, questionnaire survey method, SWOT analysis and evaluation applying selected statistical methods. On the basis of reached results the fact can be stated that the importance of environmental education, supported by the national park Podyjí, constitutes a strong contribution to the education of pupils in the selected schools. Other results indicate the lack of educational programs for the second stage of the elementary education and insufficient provision of materials to visit Podyjí national park without guides. On the basis of achieved outputs, the specific forms can be designed to complete the portfolio of environmental programs and materials for the mentioned groups of recipients.

The submitted work deals with the topic of the gate. The theoretical part analyses this structural and cultural feature, particularly from its architectural point of view, and focuses on the origin of gateway, its evolution throughout the centuries, and on the description of the best known and most famous gates, both throughout the world and in the Czech Republic. In the thesis, the gate is characterised as a symbol with different meanings in various cultural contexts. The implementation of the author´s photographic project entitled ?The Gates to the Past? is further presented in the practical part of the work. The text also describes a brief essay on the relation of aesthetic education to the environmental artistic works and develops its potential for educational goals emphasizing humanistic objectives.

The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of excursion and environmental education that are based on available scholarly literature. The thesis focuses on innovation of chemistry education in topic of Plastics and their environmental consequences in primary schools. The content of theoretical part deals with plastics around us, their history, different types and possibilities of recycling. This thesis also contains analysis of valid curricular documents and textbooks which are frequently used in classes of chemistry in primary schools. Practical part deals with proposal of set of activities with project elements including experimental activities that were executed as a part of project day. Evaluation of prepared educational activities was completed using the mind maps created by students while observing the change in number of used terms and relevance in relation to assigned topic. The results of thesis which are collected and documented confirms our assumptions focused on efficiency of project days in primary schools and shows a way how teacher's project could be transformed into activities of individual students by assigning educational tasks. This master thesis is concerned with current issues of educational politics, namely the integration of environmental aspects into the curriculums of grammar schools and high schools. Environmental education, and awareness raising has appeared in schools following the introduction of the framework education programme as one of its cross-curricular subjects, reflecting new social needs. While there lies a great potential for the development of our education system within cross-curricular subjects and framework education programmes, these also introduce new requirements for teachers, who are not always quite prepared for dealing with them. The introduction of external partners into education is one possible way of dealing with those requirements, as these external partners have many years of experience with ecology oriented education programmes and their methodical specifics. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the findings concerning the fulfillment of environmental education in the Czech Republic and comparison with environmental education in the EU. The research part deals with the change of opinion on the environment in the second year of the grammar school in Nové Strašecí after completing the residential educational program. The analysis has shown that environmental-related views have changed in some cases after passing the course (for example, in waste sorting or fertilizer opinion), but most of the views have not changed (for example, in the willingness to give money to the environment or in view of exaggerating environmental problems).

The thesis focuses on basket weaving in art education in an environmental context. In the theoretical part, the diploma thesis deals with nature and its origins for art education. It clarifies the concepts of environment, ecology and contemporary art in relation to traditional crafts. It also deals with the relationship between craft and applied art. The goal of the theoretical part is to deeply understand these concepts and contexts. It also represents the artwork of contemporary artists and free-form artists who deal with the theme of nature. The theoretical basis is based on authors own artwork, capturing the observation of nature and the growth of willow rods with as little human intervention as possible. The result of the author's work is the Willow Diary, which records this observation of the willow rods in nature. Authors own artwork is inspired by existing artwork in nature with natural materials. The didactic part of the thesis contains art tasks based on the theoretical part of the thesis. Tasks are focused on environmental education, spatial creation, contact with nature and natural materials. The abstract The main aim of the dissertation was to find out the level of knowledge and opinions of secondary technical and especially grammar school students in the field of Chemistry focusing on environmental problems of these days and their solutions. As a follow up of the research and the analysis of the current curriculum in Chemistry in grammar schools there are suggestions for some amendments in this subject. The thesis compares environmental awareness of conventional and alterna- tive lower secondary school students. The qualitative research was performed through a group interview, where participants expressed their opinion on par- ticular environmental topics and gave examples of their behaviour and expe- rience related to those fields, which showed a true level of their environmental protection awareness. The concept of the interviews was chosen to disclose an individual factors that can affect environmental awareness (school, family, af- ter school activity etc.). The schools, which students were selected from, were sorted out not only by the criterion of conventionality but by approach to en- vironmental protection as well. Following findings are, for example, included among these criteria: If the school has an environmental coordinator, whether students are motivated in compliance with the proactive environmental po- licy, if and in what extent is waste separated in the particular school and the like. The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine the influence of environmental education programs on elementary schools pupils' attitudes based on the fact that the increasing number of visits of pupils at the center of environmental education increases the attitudes and positive behavior of individuals towards the environment. The first part of the thesis is a comprehensive view of attitudes, their measurement, methodological problems, environmental education in the contemporary curricular education in our country, environmental education, educational programs. Furthermore, the researches were practically tested on the target group of pupils of primary and elementary school second degree. The second part consists of two questionnaires. There are statements to which the respondent attributes their degree of agreement or disagreement with using Likert's scale. Queries in the questionnaires are divided into four areas that are researched more closer. These parts are called: The attitude towards the nature conservation, interest in nature, pro-environmental behavior and attitude towards the environment. Respondents create selected files from the documents provided by the Center for Ecological Education Toulcův dvůr, z. s. in the course of four years. Data obtained from them is statistically evaluated using a general regression model and linear regression. The results show that the number of visits to pupils of primary school have no impact on attitudes towards the environment, attitudes to nature conservation and on pro-environmental behavior. The only area where the relationship was found was of interest to nature. On the other hand, the results of the elementary school second degree show that the attitudes are very pronounced in all the studied areas.

In this part of the Thesis, there are also theoretical basis of Arts and Environmental Education, as they are embodied in the Framing Program of Education and the analysis of possible areas for utilisation of scrap materials within intermediate and experimental activities in Arts at elementary schools. In the conclusion of the theoretical part of the Thesis, there is a list of books available in the Czech market which deal with possibilities of waste media utilisation for the development of creative activities of pupils. The thema of my thesis is Nature versus City. The terms nature and the city are presented as separate and connected terms in the theoretical part, which is the focus of the thesis. The relationship between nature and cities is presented like inconsistent and also like consistent. The aim of the theoretical part is to answer questions about whether nature in towns is important to their inhabitants and why. The thema nature versus the city is connected with fine arts, concrete examples of artists and their works. Among other things, I deal with the concepts of ecology and the environment across the work. I deal also with questions about the current social and environmental situation of the planet, which are complemented by examples of artists who incorporate this theme into their works, emerge from the text. My own art work is based on the theoretical part, its center is performance in the public space. I have come up with gradual development to the final performance, which simultaneously had site-specific features. This work continues on a thesis Silvie Svobodové (2013) The influence of environmental education at the level of environmental literacy of pupils in primary schools Zatec region and complements the conclusions on the extent of influence of environmental education on environmental awareness of the 2nd degree. It examines the extent of the influence level of teachers'environmental literacy to the level of the environmental literacy among students. The theoretical part includes a literature search, including the characteristics of the Saaz region. The introduction of practical part presents an overview of environmental education and awareness practiced in tested primary schools. Survey was carried out through sequential combined research, scheme QUAN-qual. The questionnaire was tested in June 2015 with 84 respondents, 13 men and 71 women.
