El sistema económico imperante lejos de lograr reducir las brechas sociales, las ha hecho más amplias, desde la consolidación del sistema de producción capitalista, gran parte de la humanidad se ha visto obligada a vivir en condiciones de precariedad, pobreza e injusticia social, llegando al extremo de amenazar su propia vida. Las grandes multinacionales y gobiernos que sustentan sus acciones en beneficio propio con el apoyo de un cuantioso número de economistas ortodoxos quienes han creado un sistema económico y una economía perversa, cuya función es servir a la clase dominante perpetuando su poder mediante el uso de la crematística en lugar de la Etica y la economía, la creación de modelos matemáticos, y la idea de que crecimiento y desarrollo son incluyentes; se ha olvidado los orígenes históricos, éticofilosóficos de la ciencia económica, que abogaban por una justicia social y disminución de las desigualdades económico-sociales. El presente texto, realiza una reflexión critica histórica de la economía y su tergiversación hacia la crematística y sus enunciados perfomativos en sus modelizaciones matemáticas.

This article uses Antonio Gramsci's hegemonic thinking to critically examine accounting earnings within the framework of business ethics. In the realm of accounting, critical scientists offer a new view as an alternative that can radically replace various current modes of accounting practice, especially aspects of injustice that are generated or supported by accounting. The practical view sees business as a purely profit making activity, even if profit is considered the sole main purpose of business. Currently there are concerns from many parties in Indonesia that the phenomenon of unethical business methods will develop. There is even an assumption that unethical business practices are legal, if you want to gain the maximum profit or profit according to economic principles. This paper aims to arouse our awareness that business success is not only determined by company profits and growth. The perpetuation of capitalist domination in accounting is supported by traditional intellectuals who use their hegemony in spreading these capitalist values.Therefore, counter-hegemony is needed as mentioned by Gramsci, namely organic intellectuals to free the people from the domination of hegemony of capitalism.

The Hebrew expression in the Old Testament mishpat u-tsedaqa, conventionally translated ‘justice and righteousness’, has a particular application to the social responsibility of the king. The state, in the person of the king, is seen in the Old Testament as having an obligation to exercise its power on behalf of the most vulnerable. This may be illustrated by the widespread evidence from the ancient Near East of administrative and judicial action undertaken by kings to cancel debts, provide for the release of debt slaves, remit taxes, order the return of distrained property, and so forth. Although the impact of such measures would have been limited, and the tradition is attenuated in later levels of the text, the ideal of the state as the protector of the poor may be applied to the state’s relationship with the modern capitalist economy. It demands that the economy should be regulated to protect the most vulnerable against the impoverishment resulting from its transformation by globalized capitalism. The reality, however, especially in the UK and the US, is that the state colludes with capitalism to increase inequality and deepen poverty.

The picture of world economy is increasingly leading to global capitalism thathas been considered as an ideal. Capitalism makes entrepreneurs have the samechance and freedom to optimizing their business in free competition andmarket mechanism. Through this way, they expect that prosperity can be realized. This idealized image becomes gloomy as the world is still colored bythe ongoing economic crisis in this modern era and the facts show that there arestill many people in the world who are living in poverty, unemployment, hunger, and the threat of ecosystem destruction. In this context, ethics is the answer to human needs. Global Ethics according to Hans Küng brings full human values, commitment to life, fair economic order, culture of tolerance, and cooperation among humans. Global Ethics can be a first step for entrepreneurs and policy makers to create a culture of positive economic. The effort to realize a more humane global order should be enforced based on a commitment to a fundamental consensus. This consensus contains the outlines of the new paradima of economic ethics which can manage global capitalism to obtain an economic policy that can serve all mankind for the sustainable future of the world

The rise of religion and the rise of capitalism are currently occurring in roughly the same geographical regions (Latin America, Asia, and Africa). Although both religion and capitalism are often ignored, or are regarded negatively, within development circles, this article reflects on their potential for human wellbeing when they convergence. Its focus is on the socio-economic significance of what the author calls the Evangelical Pentecostal Charismatic Movement (EPCM), which accounts for most of the growth of Christianity, the world’s largest religion. He argues that the movement’s stimulation of selfempowerment (especially of women), church-based social outreach, and the encouragement of trust are of particular significance. They provide ample grounds, he contends, for revisiting the question Max Weber is famous for having posed about the link between religious belief and economic behaviour. They also help overcome victimhood mentalities and promote good stewardship, accountability and integrity. The EPCM thereby acts as a progressive force that, in serving the common good, stands to make a positive contribution to the future of capitalism.

ABSTRAKEtika bisnis menjadi alat kendali bagi setiap individu dalam aktivitas ekonomi. Sistem ekonomi islam telah muncul jauh sebelum sistem ekonomi kapitalis, sosialis maupun sistem ekonomi pancasila berada. Namun dalam hal ini sebagian besar masyarakat telah banyak menganut sistem ekonomi kapitalis dan sosialis, dimana kurangnya kesejahteraan bersama sehingga keuntungan hanya dirasakan oleh penguasa saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan studi komparatif terhadap sistem ekonomi islam, sehingga diharapkan dapat terus berkembang bagi kemaslahatan seluruh umat Islam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan kajian dan studi literatur dari berbagai sumber. Hasil dan pembahasan menyatakan bahwa etika bisnis islam telah berkembang sejak zaman Nabi dan Rasul, jauh sebelum zaman modern muncul yang telah mengubah masyarakat untuk mengenal sistem ekonomi kapitalis, sosialis maupun sistem ekonomi pancasila. Maka secara filosofis sistem ekonomi islam bersifat universal, kepemilikan harta dalam mutlak milik Allah Swt dan sistem ekonomi islam mengedepankan prinsip maslahat bagi seluruh umat di dunia.ABSTRACTBusiness ethics becomes a control tool for every individual in economic activity. The Islamic economic system has emerged long before the capitalist, socialist and Pancasila economic systems exist. However, in this case, most people have embraced a capitalist and socialist economic system, where there is a lack of shared welfare so that the benefits are only felt by the rulers. This study aims to conduct a comparative study of the Islamic economic system, so that it is expected to continue to develop for the benefit of all Muslims. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method by utilizing studies and literature studies from various sources. The results and discussion state that Islamic business ethics has developed since the time of the Prophet and the Apostle, long before modern times emerged which have changed society to recognize the capitalist, socialist and Pancasila economic system. So philosophically, the Islamic economic system is universal, ownership of property in absolute terms belongs to Allah and the Islamic economic system puts forward the principle of benefit for all people in the world.

Resumo: O presente texto, inscrito na Linha de Pesquisa "Ética, Política e Educação", do Grupo de Pesquisa "Paidéia", da Faculdade de Educação da Unicamp, discute os fundamentos éticos do marxismo: a crítica radical da sociedade capitalista e as mediações políticas para a construção da emancipação humana. O eixo norteador da pesquisa é a investigação dos textos de Marx e Engels, especialmente os Manuscritos Econômico-Filosóficos de 1844 que, junto à análise científica da relação homem-natureza-sociedade, estão repletos de considerações filosóficas e éticas. A ética marxista leva em consideração a totalidade do ser e do existir do homem histórico, concreto, social. Ela se constitui na contundente crítica, indignação, denúncia a toda forma de opressão e "exploração do homem pelo homem" e das condições desumanas de vida da classe trabalhadora sob o modo de produção capitalista. Tal crítica tem uma dimensão propositiva, como possibilidade e necessidade histórica de "superar o estado atual de coisas" no processo de construção da "emancipação humana universal". Enfim, a ética crítica marxista, de base histórica, de perspectiva transformadora está ligada à educação omnilateral da classe trabalhadora, como produção de homens conscientes e livres, capazes de conhecer, intervir, se apropriar e dominar o processo de produção material e espiritual ao longo do movimento histórico da humanidade.
Abstract: The present text, enrolled in the Line of Research "Ethics, Politics and Education", of the Group of Research "Paidéia", of the Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Estadual de Campinas, argues "the ethical foundations of the Marxism: the radical critics of the capitalist society and the political mediation for the construction of the emancipation human being". The central point this research is the inquiry of Marx and Engel's texts, especially the Economic-Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 that, joined of its scientific analysis of the relation man, nature and society, they are replete of philosophical and ethical considerations. The Marxist ethics take in consideration the totality of the being and the existence of the historical, concrete and social man. It's an incisive critic, indignation and denunciation to all form of oppression and "exploration of the man for the man" and the inhumane conditions of the life of working-class under the way of capitalist production. Such critical one has a purposive dimension, as historical possibility and necessity "to surpass the situation of things" in the process of construction of the "emancipation universal human being". At last, the Marxist critical ethics of the transforming perspective, of the historical base, is linked on to the omnilateral education of the working-class, as production of the conscientious and free men, that can know, intervene and appropriate of the process of material and spiritual production belong the historical movement of the humanity.

Il problema centrale che questa tesi affronta è la rappresentazione del lavoro nel romanzo. La tesi è organizzata in tre parti. La prima parte tenta di esplorare il problema da un punto di vista teorico: dopo aver indagato i due aspetti che sembrano concorrere a rendere il lavoro un tema essenzialmente anti-narrativo, vale a dire il suo carattere elementare e la sua iteratività, il primo capitolo definisce l’oggetto dell’indagine. Nel capitolo viene discussa la scelta dei romanzi operai di Zola come corpus, e viene enunciata l’osservazione da cui l’intero lavoro prende le mosse: nell’Assommoir, gli orologi e la scansione del tempo sono un tema ossessivo. Il secondo capitolo affronta un problema extra-letterario: prendendo le mosse dall’Etica protestante di Weber, ne conduce una lettura meta-psicologica, con l’obiettivo di indagare il significato del lavoro razionalizzato per l’economia libidica, e porre così le basi per un’indagine relativa all’etica capitalista in una prospettiva psicanalitica. Il terzo e ultimo capitolo della prima parte discute la teoria freudiana della letteratura di Francesco Orlando. Riflettendo sulla nozione di «ritorno del represso», mi chiedo se i contenuti che Orlando inscrive in tale categoria non siano che una parte dei contenuti possibili; se esista, nel linguaggio letterario, uno spazio per le istanze inconsce relative non all’Es ma al Super-io; e, in caso affermativo, dove vada individuato tale spazio. Il primo dei due casi di studio, relativo all’Assommoir, è organizzato in quattro capitoli. Il primo capitolo è uno studio, di carattere essenzialmente filologico, di una testimonianza relativa a un progetto incompiuto di Zola. Obiettivo del capitolo è tentare di mostrare che questo progetto fu una componente nella genesi dell’Assommoir, e che aiuta a illuminare il significato particolare che l’organizzazione del tempo assume nel romanzo. Il secondo capitolo ha un carattere di ricognizione: per meglio esplorare la peculiarità del trattamento del tempo nell’Assommoir, propongo alcune sommarie osservazioni riguardo il trattamento del tempo in un campione di grandi romanzi del canone ottocentesco. Il terzo capitolo propone una sistematica rassegna del trattamento del tempo nell’Assommoir, con relativo commento. Il quarto e ultimo capitolo cerca di tirare le fila dei problemi aperti nel capitolo precedente, proponendo un’interpretazione di carattere generale relativa al significato della scansione ritmica del tempo nel capolavoro zoliano. La terza parte, infine, relativa a Germinal, è organizzata in due capitoli. Il primo propone una rassegna del trattamento del tempo nel romanzo, riflettendo sui due elementi che intervengono a complicare la sua struttura rispetto all’Assommoir: da un lato Étienne, che ha uno sguardo straniato sul lavoro in maniera e la disciplina che impone, e dall’altro la rappresentazione della borghesia, che spiega il costante ricorso, all’interno del romanzo, all’analessi. Il secondo capitolo propone un’interpretazione della quarta parte di Germinal, in cui si racconta il tempo immobile del non-lavoro, all’interno della prospettiva teorica che questa tesi tenta di delineare.
The problem addressed in this thesis is the representation of labour in the novel. The thesis is organized into three parts. The first, divided in three chapters, explores the issue from a theoretical perspective. The first chapter defines the object of investigation; it discusses the corpus and states the observation on which the entire work is based: in the Assommoir, clocks and time-discipline are an obsessive theme. The second chapter conducts a meta-psychological reading of Weber's Protestant Ethic, analyzing capitalist ethics from a psychoanalytic perspective. The third chapter discusses Francesco Orlando’s notion of «return of the repressed», and asks whether it is possible to recognize, in the literary language, mechanisms that express the instances of the Super-ego. The second part, about the Assommoir, is organized in four chapters. The first is a study of an unaccomplished project of Zola; its goal is to show that this project was a component in the genesis of the Assommoir, and that it can help clarify the meaning of the organization of time within the novel. In order to better explore the peculiarities of the treatment of time in the Assommoir, in the second chapter I put forward some brief observations regarding a sample of novels from the 19th-century canon. The third chapter proposes a systematic review of the treatment of time in the Assommoir, with comment. The fourth and last chapter draws some general conclusions, interpreting the meaning of the rhythmic articulation of time in Zola's masterpiece. The third part analyses the treatment of time in Germinal and the fourth part of the novel, devoted to the motionless time of non-labour.
La thèse, organisée en trois parties, est consacrée au problème de la représentation du travail dans le roman. La première partie, en trois chapitres, aborde l’enjeu d’un point de vue théorique. Le premier chapitre définit la problématique et discute le choix des romans ouvriers de Zola en tant que corpus. J’énonce l’observation qui oriente la thèse entière: dans L’Assommoir, la discipline du temps est un thème obsédant. Le deuxième chapitre mène une lecture méta-psychologique de l’Ethique protestante de Weber, visant à théoriser l’éthique capitaliste par rapport à l’économie libidinale. Le troisième chapitre discute la catégorie de «retour du refoulé» de Francesco Orlando, et se demande s’il est possible d’identifier, dans le langage littéraire, des mécanismes qui véhiculent les instances du Surmoi. Le premier étude de cas en quatre chapitres, est consacré à l’Assommoir. D’abord, une étude philologique d’un projet inachevé de Zola vise à démontrer que ce projet joua un rôle non négligeable dans la genèse de L’Assommoir, et que son analyse aide à l’interprétation des indications temporelles dans L’Assommoir. Le deuxième chapitre explore les indications temporelles dans un nombre de romans du XIX siècle, afin de mettre en avant la particularité de Zola parmi ses modèles. Le troisième chapitre consiste dans l’analyse et commentaire systématiques des indications temporelles dans l’Assommoir. Le quatrième chapitre interprète globalement la scansion rythmique du temps dans l’Assommoir. La troisième partie de la thèse analyse les indications temporelles dans Germinal et propose une interprétation de la quatrième partie du roman, qui représente le temps immobile de la grève.

Questa tesi si occupa di analizzare il lavoro di Stanley Hauerwas, uno studioso di grande fama nel mondo accademico americano i cui testi sono molto letti in tutto il mondo. Tramite la lettura critica dell’intero corpus degli scritti di Hauerwas la tesi intende riflettere sul rapporto problematico tra Cristianesimo e liberalismo. A questo scopo, la tesi si concentra inizialmente sui presupposti filosofici che sono alla base delle argomentazioni di Hauerwas. In secondo luogo, riflette sulle idee ed istituzioni tipiche del liberalismo e sul loro rapporto con il Cristianesimo. Infine, descrive la proposta etica di Hauerwas e il modo con cui questa determina il tipo di politica che la chiesa e i cristiani dovrebbero avere. Seguendo l’ampiezza del lavoro di Hauerwas, la tesi si interessa di un gran numero di filosofi, teorici della politica e teologi, spaziando dagli scritti di Aristotele e Tommaso d’Aquino, alla filosofia del linguaggio di McCabe, Murdoch, e Wittgenstein, dalle riflessioni etiche di Kovesi, Anscombe, e MacIntyre, alle teorie politiche di Rawls, Stout e Coles. Grazie alla sottolineatura del ruolo delle virtù e della formazione morale, insieme all’enfasi posta sull’importanza che la tradizione della chiesa, le sue pratiche e il suo linguaggio hanno nel dare forma all’immaginazione e alle vite dei cristiani, Hauerwas descrive in maniera costruttiva e feconda una proposta politica genuinamente cristiana e ci aiuta a navigare le complessità del mondo contemporaneo.
The dissertation provides an in-depth analysis of the scholarship of Stanley Hauerwas, a very prominent figure in the American academy whose body of work is widely read in many countries. By providing a close reading of Hauerwas’ entire corpus, the dissertation aims at discussing the contested relationship between Christianity and liberalism. It does so first, by focusing on the philosophical presuppositions that shape Hauerwas’ overall argument. Second, it reflects on the main liberal commitments and institutions and their relationship with Christianity. Third, it describes Hauerwas’ ethical proposal and its bearings on the political commitments that the church and Christians ought to have. Following the breadth of Hauerwas’ work, the dissertation deals with a great number of philosophers, political theorists, and theologians, spanning from the writings of Aristotle and Aquinas, to the philosophy of language of McCabe, Murdoch, and Wittgenstein, to the ethical reflections of Kovesi, Anscombe and MacIntyre, and to the political theory of Rawls, Stout, and Coles. Through his stress on the role of virtues and moral formation, and by emphasizing the importance that the church’s tradition, language, and practices have in shaping the imagination and lives of Christians, Hauerwas gives a constructive and fruitful description of what a genuine Christian politics looks like and helps us navigate the complex world of today.

Tramite la lettura critica dell’intero corpus degli scritti di Hauerwas la tesi intende riflettere sul rapporto problematico tra Cristianesimo e liberalismo. A questo scopo, la tesi si concentra inizialmente sui presupposti filosofici che sono alla base delle argomentazioni di Hauerwas. In secondo luogo, riflette sulle idee ed istituzioni tipiche del liberalismo e sul loro rapporto con il Cristianesimo. Infine, descrive la proposta etica di Hauerwas e il modo con cui questa determina il tipo di politica che la chiesa e i cristiani dovrebbero avere. La tesi indaga le origini religiose dello spirito del capitalismo, in particolare attraverso il pensiero di un classico della sociologia, Werner Sombart. L’oggetto di ricerca consiste nell’analisi critica del legame che l’autore individua tra etica ebraica e spirito del capitalismo, attraverso un’indagine plurifattoriale degli elementi che si pongono all’origine dello spirito del capitalismo stesso. Si pone l’attenzione sulla cultura religiosamente fondata che ha reso possibile un certo orientamento, ossia sulle motivazioni religiose mediante le quali una collettività storicamente situata attribuisce senso e significato alle proprie azioni quotidiane, analizzando, in particolare quelle che, in campo economico, possono aver contribuito a imprimere al capitalismo il suo spirito originario. Si fa riferimento, dunque, non alla dimensione materiale del capitalismo, ma a quella spirituale, che rimanda alle radici di natura culturale e, quindi, a quel complesso di valori, norme e idee che costituisce l’essenza generativa e, al contempo, il fondamento del capitalismo. Analogamente a quanto la critica ha fatto per Weber, si cerca di comprendere, dunque, il senso e il significato dello spirito religioso e della matrice culturale che si pone alla sua base, mediante l’analisi critica del pensiero dell’Autore sul tema, che, a tutt’oggi, non trova nella letteratura adeguata rappresentazione. Attraverso la storia del pensiero sociologico, si intende, quindi, ricostruire le processualità che hanno dato origine allo spirito del capitalismo e che oggi appaiono profondamente trasformate, con l’intento altresì di comprendere le derive dell’attuale capitalismo alla luce della sua storia culturale e, dunque, di storicizzare lo spirito del capitalismo per attualizzarlo nel senso di coglierne le dinamiche contemporanee.
