A 2021-es energiaválság, majd a 2022 februárjában kitört orosz–ukrán háború korábban nem látott kihívás elé állította az Európai Uniót (EU), többek között energetikai szempontból. A kialakult helyzetre válaszul az elmúlt években szemtanúi lehettünk az uniós energiamix meghatározó átalakulásának.
