Résumé :
Helena Almeida (1934-2018) is one of the most interesting and relevant artists in Portuguese contemporary art, having produced an oeuvre of great integrity and consistency, in which the body of the artist and processes of self-representation (always in an ambivalent, subversive and transgressive relation with that same art tradition) took centre stage. Taking the work Family portrait (1979) as its starting point, this article will explore the relation Almeida had with the familiar, be it in personal, artistic or national terms, as all these dimensions of the concept cannot be dissociated from each other when we look at this artist’s oeuvre.

Résumé :
This research article draws on a master’s thesis. Inherited perpetrator trauma may result from a family legacy of past familial collaboration with the South African apartheid regime. This historical narrative emerges from a familial relationship with the artist Irmin Henkel, the author’s step-grandfather. Henkel was known as the official portrait painter of the 1960s apartheid regime Cabinet. A heuristic self-study and arts-based approach were used to create a five-step protocol that art therapists can use to treat inherited perpetrator trauma. The approach used postcards as an art therapy tool. I repurposed family photographs into postcards to engage with the past. I also wrote reflective narratives. Inherited perpetrator trauma theories were used. A dialectical thinking approach was used that considers more than one perspective. Three main themes emerged: guilt, denial, and toxic shame. The creation of postcards from historical family narratives successfully uncovered the themes. The protocol has not been tested beyond the self-study. However, the use of museum spaces and the theory of object relations is considered in this article. Making toxic shame conscious and confronting and transforming this trauma can prevent a repeat of past historical transgressions and encourage healthier relationships to self, family, community and a broader South African society.

Résumé :
The main purpose of the article is to present various ways of conducting art therapy with families, which is often referred to as Family Art Therapy. In the first part, the author explains the sources and unique features of this form of work, before proceeding to characterize therapeutic interventions described in the literature on the subject. Although they are not numerous, they present a wide range of possibilities for the use of Family Art Therapy. The author, therefore, proposes a division into three main groups of problems: (1) the functioning of the family is disturbed as a result of the health condition of one of its members; most often it is a child who is experiencing severe mental disorders, e.g. schizophrenia, mood disorders, depression, suicide attempts, etc. or ADHD, ASD and neurodevelopmental disorders; (2) the functioning of the family is disturbed as a result of external conditions: a crisis situation, or domestic violence; (3) disturbances in the relationship between the parent(s) and the child. These various family problems require different techniques and exercises, which has been highlighted in the characteristics of the different ways of working with families. The article is also complemented by short descriptions of art-therapy works prepared by art therapy students, the starting point for which was the use of a diagnostic and therapeutic genogram technique for creative, artistic work and self-reflection on one’s own family. The article ends with the significant words of the precursor of Family Art Therapy, Hanna Kwiatkowska showing the value of this form of work not only for its participants but also for art therapists.

The aim is to understand how these offices develop investment decisions that go beyond current market trends by integrating economic intelligence with cultural insights. This research provides practical guidance for family offices in art investment, fostering smarter, future-oriented market decisions while contributing to the art market's growth and cultural diversity preservation. Theoretical Framework:The theoretical framework of the thesis examines the evolution of family offices and their role in art investment, analyzing the dynamics and trends of the art market, the complexities of art investment including risks and rewards, and the importance of understanding art's value beyond economic terms. This framework sets the stage to explore how family offices balance financial goals with cultural and artistic appreciation in their investment strategies. Method:The methodology of the study employs a qualitative case study approach, focusing on the Cohen Family Office to explore decision-making processes and art value perceptions in family offices. Data is gathered from public sources, industry reports, and relevant literature, particularly regarding the Cohen Family Office's art investments. Results and Discussion: The study's results reveal that the Cohen Family Office demonstrates a profound understanding of art value, which influences their successful investment strategies, including strategic acquisitions and support of emerging artists. Their active engagement in the art industry enhances their investment decisions and art value perception. The office's approach balances artistic appreciation with financial planning, leading to significant cultural and economic impacts. The research highlights differences between personal family collections and strategically driven family office collections, emphasizing the latter's focus on long-term financial and cultural goals. Research Implications:The research offers valuable insights for family offices in art investment, emphasizing the importance of deep art value perception and strategic market engagement. It highlights how family offices can surpass market trends through informed decision-making, balancing economic and cultural values. The study contributes to a broader understanding of art market dynamics and family office roles, enhancing strategies for wealth management and cultural legacy preservation. Résumé :
The art of communication - listening and speaking - is a major life skill, with a thorough influence on every human life. Remaining silent while the interlocutor speaks is not all that there is to the act of listening to messages. True listening is based on an intention to get involved in understanding of the other person, enjoying his or her presence, learning something from the conversation, giving assistance, or comforting the interlocutor. In the article the author describes obstacles (barriers), which render true listening impossible. These barriers have been identified by a group of young adults.

Intra-family conflicts represent a clash between family members generated by their social attitude and position. Arguments avoidance within a marriage is due to certain rules established in advance by the partners on how to behave with each other. It is important that one should follow them when the situations become tensed as well. Happy couples argue correctly and assume the consequences of their words and actions.

Résumé :
Abstract: Clinical educators are continually seeking innovative methods and settings for teaching. As such, they have increasingly begun to use art museums as a new educational space in which to build clinically-relevant skills and promote learners’ professional identity formation. Art museum-based pedagogy can be understood through the framework of transformative learning theory, which provides an account of how adults learn through experience. In this article, the authors apply this theory to art museum-based teaching and offer a practical overview of art museum-based activities, highlighting three exemplars: visual thinking strategies, personal responses tour, and group poems. This toolbox of art museum-based teaching methods provides a launching pad for educators and learners to explore this innovative educational strategy.

The article examines pending and relative ineffectiveness of contracts in the case of Art. 76 of the Inheritance Act, Art. 26 of the Family Code and Art. 42 of the Obligations and Contracts Act as treated in interpretative decisions No. 1 of 19.5.2004, No. 5 of 29.12.2014 and No. 5 of 12.12.2016 of the Supreme Cassation Court. The concept and types of ineffectiveness are analyzed, as well as the specific issues of the situations discussed. It is concluded that Art. 76 IA provides for a resolutive condition combined with relative ineffectiveness, Art. 24, para. 4 and Art. 26 FC – contestability, which is different from relative ineffectiveness, and Art. 42 of the Obligations and Contracts Act – pending ineffectiveness, but in the absence of confirmation the possibility the contract to become effective is finally lost, and any interested person can invoke it.
