Résumé :
The Florida Department of Transportation Turnpike Enterprise’s recent toll mode-choice model development activities are described. Because the simple toll travel forecasting analysis methods used were not adequate for reliably addressing contemporary toll study issues, there was a need for toll modeling innovations that address trip makers’ toll route decisions as a mode-choice step sensitive to changes in service levels by time of day, trip purpose, and socioeconomic attributes. Innovations developed for Florida’s turnpike began with data-collection efforts and toll model development for the Central Florida (Orlando) region. This represents the next generation of modeling system. Similar efforts are under way for the Miami–Fort Lauderdale area. The Orlando region toll mode-choice model, which is in its final validation phase, includes a statistically estimated nested mode-choice modeling system with a discrete choice for toll travel. The models were developed for a combination of four periods and four trip purposes, including visitor trips. Other key features are ( a) a pre-mode-choice time-of-day process; ( b) a generalized cost-assignment procedure that uses travel time and costs by time of day (rather than travel time alone); ( c) production of zone-to-zone travel time and costs consistent with travel paths; and ( d) a feedback loop process that uses an iterative successive averaging procedure to estimate travel times.

Résumé :
The article presents the systematization of approaches to assess the enterprises' level of competitiveness. The advantages and disadvantages of the most famous models for assessing the competitiveness of business entities are considered. The identified shortcomings made it possible to form a hypothesis for studying the enterprises' competitiveness, taking into account the industry factor, financial criteria and quality indicators of the enterprise. For the formation of an objective adaptation model for assessing the competitiveness of an enterprise, taking into account its industry specificity, the author's approach to assessing the competitiveness of an enterprise, taking into account industry specifics, based on the relative and qualitative indicators of the enterprise's activities, selected by the expert assessment method, is considered. For trade enterprises, groups of the most significant indicators have been formed that characterize the competitiveness in the areas of observation of the sales of a trade enterprise, its costs, financial position and financial results, for the market share of the trade enterprise, the level of prices for goods, for the level of service of the trade enterprise. The indicators characterizing the level of competitiveness of a trading enterprise are divided into relative critical indicators and a group of qualitative critical indicators, which are included in the calculation of the complex coefficient of enterprise competitiveness model based on the theory of effective competition according to the weighted average arithmetic formula. The article presents the results of approbation of the proposed methodology on the example of the “PAO Magnit” trading enterprise and its trade competitors operating in Voronezh. The obtained results of the author's methodology for assessing the competitiveness of a trading enterprise have practical significance; the proposed model can be adapted according to the criteria for selecting indicators and their quantitative indicator, which contributes to the use of this toolkit in future studies of the competitiveness of trading enterprises.

Résumé :
AbstractGreenstockings was the name that the members of Sir John Franklin's first Arctic Land Expedition gave to a young Dene woman during their winter residence at Fort Enterprise in 1820–21. All the officers' journals remark on her physical beauty, a reputed beauty that subsequently put her at the centre of numerous rumours and accounts. Historians know little about her other than her physical attractiveness and her age, although Greenstockings might have borne a child to one of Franklin's officers, and male jealousy over her might have put the expedition at serious risk. In spite of the paucity of factual information, Greenstockings has been cast as a central character in a poem by Franklin's first wife and in an award-winning book by Canadian novelist Rudy Wiebe. These and other pieces of information show the way that different perspectives can allow for different representations of historical figures.

Résumé :
Introduction. When planning socially responsible activities, the management of the company faces a problem. The impact of such activities on the resource system and the potential of the enterprise is ambiguous and difficult to assess. On the one hand, socially responsible activities have a positive effect on the image of the enterprise, but on the other hand, they require additional expenditures of the enterprise's resources (since these measures are in essence aimed at ensuring an increased level of satisfaction of the interests of a wide range of stakeholders). This fact complicates the planning of socially responsible activities of the enterprise. As a consequence, enterprise management needs tools in the form of economic and mathematical models that would allow: to evaluate the impact of socially responsible activities on different types of enterprise resources and on its potential as a whole; to make decisions on planning of socially responsible activity of the enterprise on the basis of consideration of the task of reproduction of potential of the enterprise. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to develop a concept for building model support for the planning of socially responsible enterprise activity, taking into account the impact of such activity on the enterprise's potential. Results. To achieve this goal in the work on the basis of the analysis of the theory and practice of corporate social responsibility, formulated the concept that formulate requirements for model support for planning socially responsible activities of the enterprise. According to this concept, the planning of socially responsible activities should be based on an assessment of the enterprise's potential and its dynamics. In order to obtain a more accurate assessment of the impact of socially responsible enterprise activity on different types of resources and enterprise potential, model support for planning processes should include patterns of enterprise stakeholder behavior, taking into account the stakeholder social responsibility factor and the dynamics of the characteristics of their relations with the enterprise. Conclusions. The proposed developments are aimed at enhancing the validity of planning of socially responsible activities of enterprises.

Résumé :
The activities of an enterprise are based on constant exchanges of material and nonmaterial goods with its stakeholders. According to the stakeholder concept, there are common features in the processes of enterprise’s interaction with different groups of stakeholders. For example, common patterns can be found in the behavior of two primary stakeholders groups – buyers and employees. Each actor of these stakeholder groups makes a choice between enterprises on the bases of characteristics of goods (products or working conditions), which are provided by these enterprises, and their own preferences for these characteristics. And yet the preferences of different actors from one stakeholders group are generally different. For example, different buyers have different preferences about products characteristics, and employees have different preferences about working conditions. Thus, in the market of certain good (products or vacancies), on the one hand, there is a variety of variants of the good which differ in their characteristics and, on the other hand, there is a variety of subgroups of stakeholders (buyers or jobseekers), which differ in their preferences about the characteristics of the analyzed good. Therefore, the demand for the good offered by the analyzed enterprise depends on the ratio between the supply of the analyzed good variants and the demand for them from stakeholders subgroups with different preferences. This fact should be taken into account in the process of analyzing and forecasting demand for products and vacancies of enterprises, but existing demand models do not take it into account. The purpose of the study is to construct mathematical models that will allow to assess the demand for products and vacancies of an enterprise, depending on: а) characteristics of the analyzed products and working conditions; b) the preferences of the stakeholders for these characteristics values; c) the available supply volumes from competing enterprises. The paper proposes to assess the demand for an enterprise products by means of an optimization “transportation” model, in which the variables are the volumes of the distribution of variants of products, which differ in consumer characteristics, between groups of buyers, which differ in preferences for products characteristics. Similarly, the demand for vacancies of an enterprise is proposed to be evaluated using the system of optimization "transportation" models, in which the variables are the volumes of the distribution of vacancies in different enterprises, which differ in working conditions, between groups of jobseekers, which differ in the level of competence and preferences for the characteristics of working conditions. The constructed models are designed to meet the challenges of analysis and modeling enterprises activity, taking into account the existence of different variants of buyers’ and employees’ preferences. The novelty of the proposed models resulted from taking into account the set of variants of stakeholders' preferences for the characteristics of goods, as well as using the criterion that evaluates variants of goods distribution among stakeholders in the context of its matching for the preferences of different sub-groups of stakeholders.

Résumé :
This study examines the university–community alliance with regard to experiential learning activities that may be used to enhance the competencies of agricultural extension postgraduate students (AEPS). Through research and alliance, university education provides agricultural extension students with ideal learning spaces to explore cause-related social, economic, and sustainability aspects of agriculture. The objectives of the study were for the AEPS to work on community farms for between six to eight weeks, to identify production challenges, and to attempt to solve problems using a participatory action research (PAR) approach. Students collected data daily, using parameters that included types of agro-enterprise, agricultural practices, observation and control of pests and diseases, identification, and control of weed infestation types, control of predators, and management of various security challenges. Social media were also used to share posts (pictures and videos) of the various project activities with the public for discussion and knowledge sharing. Findings show that there was an improved relationship between the students and their community collaborators. All participants mutually benefited from the programme; students gained indigenous farming knowledge from the farmers, while farmers benefited from the scientific approaches to solving common farming problems employed by the students—mostly improvised technologies with local content. Both the students and the farmers learned from the knowledge shared by various followers on Facebook, who gave suggestions to address some of the challenges posted on social media. The programme advocates the need to shift from a mostly rigid, conventional curriculum to a more dynamic, interactive one, which embraces active experimentation with theoretical knowledge. It underscores the significance of experiential learning for developing students’ technical competencies. The success of the programme could influence curriculum development and re-design to accommodate more experience-based modules.

Résumé :
In recent decades, social enterprises have flourished as a solution to social and environmental issues through their business models. However, basic theoretical issues of social enterprises, such as its definition and characteristics, have not attained a global consensus yet. Among the social enterprise concepts, that of the European Research Network (EMES) is supposed to lay the first theoretical and empirical foundation for social enterprise analysis. Through analyzing, reviewing, and comparing research methods, the article focuses on assessing the indicators of social enterprises under the Enterprise Law 2014 in relation to the "ideal-type" social enterprise model proposed by the EMES. The study shows that the indicators of social enterprises under the Enterprise Law 2014 only meet the economic and social dimensions as defined by the EMES while lacking the third dimension of governance, which is crucial to the sustainability of social enterprises. From the research results, the article suggests that Vietnam should recognize cooperatives (with social and environmental goals) as a legal form of social enterprises since they exhibit all of the three sets of indicators of social enterprises. The article also specifies the necessity of modifying some of the provisions in the Enterprise Law 2014 to ensure the participatory governance in social enterprises, which is also a potential topic of research.

Résumé :
The concept of enterprise image and social responsibility has been studied. It has been proved that in the global civilized business environment, it is necessary to rely on moral and social aspects to achieve competitive advantages and consumer loyalty. It has been identified that the formation of a sustainable image of an enterprise is the readiness of the company to be responsible to society, namely, to care for the environment, the health of consumers, and for observing their consumer and civil rights. It has been found out that the creation of the company's image is also influenced by environmental responsibility of the enterprise. The experience in implementation of social and environmental responsibility at the enterprises of the European Union has been analyzed. The concept of the company's image is improved due to the scientific justification for the need to introduce social and environmental components as weighty factors affecting the corporate strategy. This will make it possible to increase the competitiveness and image of the enterprise, to form a high level of loyalty to the enterprise's products in a consumer’s mind.

The article is aimed at offering and highlighting the results of the authors’ research on existing approaches and methods for change management, as well as to finding ways to improve the effective implementation of changes at the enterprise. The subject of the research was methodological approaches to the process of change management at the enterprise. The research was carried out by analyzing scientific works of foreign and domestic scholars on the topic of the article. The concept of change management is substantiated, which is based upon the possibility to reproduce the model of successful changes on the basis of specific instruments that allow to effectively implement changes. In the course of the analysis, the main competitive advantages that the enterprise can get in the implementation of effective change management were allocated. The models that allow efficient implementation of changes are defined. The choice of a particular model depends on the nature of the enterprise’s work and its chosen development strategy. It is proposed to classify approaches to change management by the nature of changes and the nature of management. Also noted is the necessity to distinguish between approaches to development management by the nature of planning, organization, management and control at the enterprise. In addition to approaches to change management at enterprises, it is advisable to consider existing models of implementation of changes, taking into account the specific situation and the desired results. The authors developed and proposed the process of managing changes at the enterprise in the form of a specific algorithm. As a result, the direction of further development of classification of approaches to change management is obtained. The authors propose their own vision of the change management process, which is advisable to present in the form of a specific algorithm for implementing and managing changes at the enterprise. Résumé :
According to C. Graves, D. Beck, and C. Cowan’s Spiral Dynamics theory, the development of a socio-economic system, including an individual, organization, society, occurs discretely by moving from one level to another under the influence of change in the dominant value system. The authors of the Spiral Dynamics theory point to 8 levels, marked with a uniform color — from beige to turquoise. In this article, based on the analysis of trends in enterprises’ organizational models, the list of known organizational forms is supplemented by a new model — “pearlescent organization”. This form of an organization aims to strengthen employees’ emotional attachment due to an increase in the enterprise’s internal diversity, adaptability, and flexibility of the structure. The model of synthesis of the theory of linear change of value systems and cyclical change of four phases of the enterprise’s state is also developed in the article. Each of these stages is characterized by the dominance of the object, project, process, or environmental subsystems of the enterprise. The conditions for the transition from one stage of enterprise development to another, particularly the transformation of the turquoise stage into the pearlescent one, are shown based on this model.

Résumé :
The complex of agroindustrial enterpriseis an extremely important branch of the national economy of any state. This area determines the level of food security, and can also be one of the powerful incentives for the growth of the entire economic system of the country. This is why it so important to ensure economic security of agroindustrial enterprise. The purpose of the article is to form the model for assessing the level of economic security of the agroindustrial enterprise. The subject of the study is economic security of the agroindustrial enterprise. It is proved that the effectiveness of anti-crisis measures substantially depends on information support, the formation of which at the proper level is possible when applying the developed model for assessing the level of economic security of the agroindustrial enterprise. The use in the model of quantitative and qualitative indicators can characterize the main parameters of the economic activity of the agroindustrial enterprise and allow to characterize the level of economic security. This model is based on data that were obtained during the assessment by experts who work in agroindustrial enterprises, which may not only be about professionalism, but also take into account the specifics of the studied area. Résumé :
In 1767, three English fishers associated with Nicholas Darby’s fishing and trading enterprise in southern Labrador were killed by Inuit. In response to this violence, a contingent of British soldiers from newly established York Fort pursued the alleged perpetrators, killed several, and captured others. Among the captives was an Inuk woman named Mikak as well as the future first Moravian Inuk convert, the youth Karpik. The hostilities of 1767 cannot be fully explored merely by following the narrative of colonial authorities and traders. If the Moravian records are consulted, the notorious murder near Cape Charles in 1767 appears to have had a more complex causation than has hitherto been suggested, one that may include some European culpability in these events. Instead of the unprovoked murder of three Europeans by Inuit during a robbery, it may have been a violent act of self-defence to prevent the theft of Inuit trading goods by English fishers. Whatever the original motivation for the killings of Nicholas Darby’s men may have been, the 1767 melee remains an important historical event in Labrador, which occurred during a decade that saw British legal and administrative changes reshape European relations with Inuit and a lasting Moravian presence on Labrador’s north coast established.

The purpose of this paper is to provide an understanding of the Web 2.0 phenomenon and social media and its implications on customer relationship management, in order to learn that online communities and social networking are at the core of the enterprise of future or Enterprise 2.0. A range of published articles and books regarding Web 2.0, Enterprise 2.0, CRM 2.0 and social networking are examined and critiqued. A model is proposed to establish the association between Enterprise 2.0 and Information Technology from the perspective of social media. The sources are divided into three basic elements: Web 2.0, Online Social Networking websites and CRM 2.0. If Enterprise 2.0 is the enterprise of future then Social Media is the future of enterprise. Customer engagement and customer value proposition form the core of Enterprise 2.0 and online communities and social media form the corresponding core for knowledge creation and integration of Enterprise 2.0. Social media should affect customer relationship management in organizations. In the knowledge society of the future extended enterprises will become the basis of business rather than the competitive strength of individual enterprises and therefore the need to proactively prepare for it.

Résumé :
The article is devoted to the consideration of theoretical issues and methodology for building an effective investment policy of an enterprise, taking into account that for enterprises operating in most fundamental sectors of the economy, including construction, oil and gas, transport, industrial production, etc., an important aspect that requires consideration in the development of investment policy is the impact on the environment. Environmental aspects impose restrictions on the choice of investment directions, applied methods and technical and economic indicators of projects and determine the potential competitive advantages of projects, including through the use of forms of state support. Environmental aspects of investment activity should be considered not only as basic constraints in the development of project solutions, but also as one of the factors of the enterprise’s competitiveness, which significantly affects its investment potential in the medium and long term. The authors also present a system of key principles for the formation of an enterprise’s investment policy taking into account environmental aspects and form a schematic diagram for the development of an enterprise’s investment policy taking into account environmental aspects. The use of the proposed methodological tools will help to increase the stability and efficiency of both the internal environment of the enterprise and its external environment, that is, the socio-economic system in which it operates.

Résumé :
Introduction. Maintaining and strengthening the market position of enterprises makes it necessary to find ways to increase their competitiveness. One of them is to substantiate the evaluation characteristics of the overall competitive position of the enterprise and to create a system of managing the competitive state of the entity in the market of the entity, which necessitates the study, analysis and evaluation of competitiveness. At the enterprise level, competitiveness is an independent category that reflects the degree of realization of the goals of the enterprise in its interaction with the environment. At present, there is no commonly accepted definition of the concept of "competitiveness". A number of scholars interpret one entity using different terms and vice versa Modern science presents a wide range of methods for assessing competitiveness, but despite this, the process of modifying them and creating new options continues. Purpose. Development of theoretical foundations, scientific and methodological recommendations and practical tools for managing enterprise competitiveness. Method (methodology). The basis of research consists of general – scientific and specific scientific methods (economic – statistical, methods of strategic analysis and planning), traditional methods and techniques of economic analysis (tabular, comparison). To select and substantiate the enterprise's competitive strategy, a scientific approach is used, based on the separate definition of tactical, strategic competitiveness and competitiveness, which will allow the company to make sound management decisions in the conditions of competition. The factors used in describing the logic behind constructing segmentation of competitive strategies are the results of assessing the competitiveness and competitiveness of the enterprise, a comprehensive study of which allows to divide strategic competitiveness into a number of segments, correlated with each other in the form of a special matrix. Results. The processes of formation and management of enterprise competitiveness are investigated. The essence of the enterprise competitiveness and the specificity of its formation are determined. The classification of the types of competitiveness of the enterprise, which form the basis of methodological principles, is developed. Regardless of the intensity of competition for each business, it is necessary to develop an effective strategy that will outweigh the competitors. It is noted that such factors as accidental events, activity of state power structures and the degree of privatization of enterprises in this sector should be included in the system of determinants. The peculiarities of enterprise competitiveness management are determined on the basis of strategic approach.

Résumé :
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to offer new reflection upon the contested interaction of social enterprises with the public sector. It does this by fore fronting the notions of boundaries, boundary work and boundary objects. Design/methodology/approach – The paper reports qualitative research with social enterprise practitioners (from social enterprises and support agencies) in the north of England. Accounts elicited through interviews are combined with visual data in the form of pencil drawings made by practitioners when the authors invited them to respond to and rework diagrammatic models from the literature about the social and economic dimensions of social enterprise. Findings – Participants explained in words and images how normative images of social enterprise depicting linear and static boundaries inadequately represent the complexity of ideas and interactions in their world. Rather, they perceived an iterative process of crossing and re-crossing boundaries, with identities and practices which appeared to shift over time in relation to different priorities. Research limitations/implications – Through participant generated visual data in which social enterprise practitioners literally redrew models from the literature, the paper open space to show movement, transgression and change. Originality/value – This paper is timely as social enterprises are becoming increasingly prominent in the welfare mix. The authors make novel use of conversations and drawings in order to better understand the dynamic and everyday practices of social enterprise within public services. In doing this, the authors also potentially contribute to richer methodological resources for researching the movement of services between sectors.

Résumé :
The issue of the green development of industrial enterprises has become the focus of attention of all parties. However, the driving factors of green development behavior and performance in industrial enterprises remains unexplored. What are the driving factors of green development behavior and performance in industrial enterprises? How does the theoretical model of green development behavior and performance in industrial enterprises work? In order to reveal the driving factors of green development behavior and performance in industrial enterprises, this paper develops a theoretical model and tests the model through the evidence of Chinese industrial enterprises. Based on the further study of in-depth interview materials from 52 employees in industrial enterprises, this paper takes industrial enterprises as the research object and constructs a theoretical model by using a grounded theory method. The results show that 40 initial concepts, 10 initial categories, four main categories and three core categories are obtained through the coding step of grounded theory. The study found the following three conclusions: (1) The green development of industrial enterprise exists in the organization in the form of specific behavioral expressions; (2) The green development of industrial enterprise caused the occurrence of green development behavior of industrial enterprises. The external factors of industrial enterprise green development consist of the environment of policy and institutional, market environment and public supervision. The internal factors of industrial enterprise green development are composed of tangible and intangible resources of enterprises; (3) The occurrence of industrial enterprise green development behavior has led to the consequence of green development of industrial enterprises. The consequence is embodied in the green development performance of industrial enterprises, including corporate financial performance, corporate environmental performance and corporate social performance. In addition, some management implications are presented based on the research findings. This research enriches the field of green development theory, business development theory and green behavior research. This study also provides a reference for exploring theoretical models of industrial enterprise green development in other countries and regions of the world.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to investigate the socio-economic background and development of social enterprises in Korea and identify representative social enterprise models. Design/methodology/approachThe typology used in this study focuses on the interaction between civil society, the state and the market in their efforts to solve social problems. As a result, the typology is mainly related with social goals, although the organizational form is also taken into consideration when selecting representative social enterprises in each type so as to present a broad array of developmental histories. FindingsThis paper identified four types of social enterprises: work integration social enterprises; social service provision social enterprises; regional regeneration social enterprises; and alter-economy social enterprises. These types are not immutable; another form of social enterprise might emerge to address a new social issue and lead to a new strand of similar social enterprises. Originality/valueThis study found that the goals of social enterprises in Korea share common characteristics with those of social enterprises in European countries. Another outstanding feature of Korean social enterprises is that most social enterprises other than work integration social enterprises also regard work integration or job creation for the disadvantaged people as one of their important social missions.

A substantiation of economic decisions in the process of using incentives and adapting to changes on the part of management necessitates applying an integral target indicator for the development of enterprise. As a result of the research, it is proved that it is advisable to choose as such an indicator the value of the business, in particular by discounting money flows. It is substantiated that in order to evaluate the efficiency of stimulating the development of the shipbuilding enterprise, the application of the revenue approach appears to be rational. Both the Ukrainian and foreign experience of horizontal and vertical integration in shipbuilding is analyzed and it is proved that the formation of integrated diversified corporate structures is an urgent stimulus for the development of the shipbuilding enterprise. Some owners of shipbuilding enterprises of Ukraine use them to build a fleet for the needs of their other business: agricultural, metallurgical, etc. Certain enterprises become part of diversified companies engaged in ship repair and port activities. The efficiency of integration of shipbuilding enterprises should also be evaluated using business value indicators. It is necessary to determine the impact of incentives relating not only to shipbuilding, but also to ship repair, shipping, maritime and other activities – not only on a separate shipyard, but comprehensively on the entire association, a structural and functional unit of which the enterprise is. The effect of the introduction of incentives is determined on the example of shipbuilding and ship repair plant «Nibulon». Evaluating the impact of economic incentives on the proposed integral target indicator enables to establish the feasibility of implementing the overall strategy of the enterprise and facilitates the adoption of informed economic decisions both at the level of individual structural units and the enterprise in general.

AbstractAfter a review of the main academic research and perspectives on social enterprises both in China and abroad, a framework for understanding social enterprises is offered in summary. The framework has two dimensions: the social enterprise phenomenon and social enterprises’ characteristics. We also adopt three angles ‐ the public interest, markets, and culture ‐ from which to observe them. And we analyze them on four levels: market practices, public-interest innovations, policy support, and ideals and values. Upon these foundations, social enterprises can be defined as a form of enterprise somewhere between public-interest and for-profit enterprises, a product of the organic combination of the public interest and the market economy, and a kind of social organization combining properties and characteristics of NPOs and enterprises. As they develop, social enterprises in China have formed their own characteristics and specific models.

Résumé :
Enterprise development is dependent on the implementation of projects that contribute to improving economic performance. Considering this the need to apply the economic and management approach to the definition of effective projects under risks of reduced enterprise profitability due to the uncertain economic environment is justified. The study used scientific abstraction, formalization, causal relationship, time series analysis, variational range-based standardization, parameter minimization according to maximum and minimum values. The approach is created to evaluate the profitability dynamics of the production, management and finance subsystems of the enterprise, to monitor the deviations in the established corridor of their sufficient levels, to systematically control for the dynamics of the enterprise development to form the effective project portfolio, as well as to manage the risk reduction for projects that are inappropriate for development. The approach approbation, using Ukrainian machine-building enterprises as an example, has found enterprises with the level of development dynamics lower than the corridor determined. This indicates the risks of implementing inefficient projects and the need for systematic adjustment of their portfolio. The enterprises whose business operations belong to the fourth technological paradigm should implement projects to increase the profitability of the production and management subsystems, and those from the fifth paradigm should execute projects for the rise in the finance subsystem profitability.

Résumé :
Introduction. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and related constraints, the resilience of industrial enterprises relies heavily on the ability of managers to ensure timely and uninterrupted supply. The enterprise's activity in the economic system forces us to interpret any business entity as an open system, the logistics subsystems of which form the “blood system” of the economy. In conditions of increasing risks and the spread of procurement violations, violated with insufficient competence or, in some cases, illegal behaviour of logistics managers, a topical issue is the characterization of crucial properties of supplies – their quality and assortment. Current scientific works fully disclose the peculiarities of supply management at an industrial enterprise. However, we believe that the development of domestic industrial enterprises in a crisis, the prospects for their entry into the international arena depend on the ability of management to achieve not only the overall quality of processes but also to manage quality and assortment in the supply chain. The purpose of the paper is to generalize the principles of quality management and assortment in the supply chain of an industrial enterprise. Results. In the paper we conducted a theoretical study of the features of supply management. We summarized the principles of quality management and assortment in the supply management of an industrial enterprise, which included validity, complexity and consistency, ethics and integrity, sustainable development. As part of the study, we briefly described the challenges and prospects facing logistics managers of industrial enterprises in implementing and maintaining a quality monitoring system and assortment of supplies. Conclusion. We emphasized some of the semantic properties of the concepts of assortment and quality as characteristics of the supply and finally outlined some quality and assortment management principles in the supply management of an industrial enterprise. Such principles include scientific validity, complexity and consistency, ethics and integrity, and sustainable development. A promising area of further research is to characterize the key competencies of logistics managers needed to ensure a transparent and uninterrupted supply process.

The role of labor potential in the current economy as the main factor of its development is considered with taking into account the influence of innovative trends in the world economy and the need to develop a competitive domestic economy in the near future. Nowadays, the problem solution to improve the quality parameters of labor potential under current circumstances is possible with taking into consideration the following trends: first, structural changes in the economy of the postindustrial type contribute to an increase in labor potential number in the non-productive sphere. Secondly, destructive changes in the socio-economic system, on the one hand, and the need for further development of the national economy in accordance with the competition laws in the global market, on the other hand, determine the change in the management system of its formation and development. Economic instability of our time especially concerns industrial enterprises that affects the reduction of enterprise competitiveness, and response flexibility of the logistics system of industrial enterprises to environmental changes. Résumé :
Market competition drives organizations to higher efficiency. This paper analyses the relationship between the prevailing organization’s market orientation and marketing innovation activities. The sample of organizations consists of business enterprises from the manufacturing sector in the Czech economy. Data come from the Community Innovation Survey in 2014 and are analyzed using the innovation process econometric modeling. This innovation survey covers the period of a 3 year J-curve of real GDP growth. Czechia is one of the most open economies in the world and has one of the largest shares of exports and imports to GDP. This paper evaluates four types of marketing innovation activities (design, pricing, placing and promotion methods) at the enterprise level as a factor of marketing capability. The analyzed sample consists of observations about new-to-the-market innovators and enterprises that did not engage in new-to-the-market innovation activities in the last three years. The second group are considered to be lower-level innovators, i.e., adaptors to technological change. This paper explores the relationship between local, national, European and World market orientation in addition to an enterprise’s marketing innovation activities. The results suggest that not all types of marketing innovations are dependent on market orientation, while some have indirect positive and negative effects. Feedback and the future effects of marketing innovation activities are present at the enterprise level. Results also suggest that the marketing innovations of innovators form the manufacturing sector while they are dependent upon the strategies of enterprises to enter new geographical markets and gain the motivation to unlock new (hidden) demand.

Methodology. A system of the following general scientific and special methods was used to achieve the research goal: mathematical and statistical methods to assess the economic security of selected enterprises; methods of correlation and regression analysis to form a system of indicators of the greatest impact on the economic security of the enterprise; econometric modeling methods to predict the value of the integrated indicator of economic security of the enterprises; structured system method to determine the reserves of economic security growth for each business structure; matrix methods to form a strategic field and determine the place of each of the enterprises under study within this field. Findings. The authors have analyzed the dynamics of the economic security of mining enterprises in the Kryvyi Rih iron-ore basin from 2014 to 2018. Multivariate correlation and regression models have been built that allow determining the calculated (maximum possible) value of the integral indicator of the economic security of the enterprises under consideration. After comparing a defined (actual) and calculated value of economic security of the studied elements of the economic security system, its growth reserves for each business structure have been determined. The economic security trend of each mining enterprise in the Kryvyi Rih iron-ore basin until 2021 has been determined, which is characterized by an upward or downward slope of the economic safety values of the enterprises under consideration, predicted by the models and the prospect of achieving the maximum value of it. The resulting characteristics of the economic security value of enterprises predicted based on the trending models make it possible to build a strategic field of basic strategies according to Michael H.Mescon and determine the position of each enterprise within it. Résumé :
One of the main functions of the entire enterprise is the production, release of goods, its provision to the consumer, service and success. And the goal of each enterprise is to produce high-quality products, generate revenue and form its place in the market. Currently, the number of foreign and domestic enterprises working in the production sector is growing. Therefore, enterprises should always strive for innovation and consider the possibility of using advanced technologies in the production of goods. Production of goods directly related to the working capital of the enterprise. The article examines the structure of working capital within a certain enterprise and the features of its management. Considering the issues identified in the study, the main directions of working capital organization and management were proposed. Working capital can be divided into three stages of working capital maintenance. They are in the monetary, production, commodity. At the first stage of turnover, funds are advanced for raw materials, materials and labor items necessary for the production of other products. Capital is transferred from monetary form to commodity form. The second stage will produce products that will be consumed and contain the newly created value. At this stage, capital passes into the production form with the addition of labor from the commodity form, after which it passes into a new type of commodity. At the third stage, the production enterprise produces finished products and takes back the monetary form with the release of funds from the commodity form. When funds are credited to the company's current account for the products sold, the turnover is considered terminated. Since working capital is an important asset structure of the enterprise, its effective organization and management are important activities of the enterprise.
