Résumé :
The presence of the theatre of the Spanish Siglo de Oro in the theatre and literary culture of Germany (or the German-speaking countries) in the 17th and 18th centuries is a multifaceted one, and was influenced by many factors. We have to take in account that in the second half of the 17th century and in a large part of the 18th century Spain had been a terra incognita for the Germanic world. This long lack of basic knowledge led to a decontextualization of the Golden Age theatre and sometimes to an unconditional enthusiasm that was not based on historical realities. The protagonists of the ‘construction’ of a ‘Spanish national theatre’ included Lessing, Herder, Goethe, the Schlegel brothers and the philosopher Schelling, the most prominent German intellectuals of the time. Within this ‘construction’ Lope de Vega, Rojas Zorrilla and, above all, Calderón de la Barca are the three icons that will guide both the theory and the practice of drama during the ‘two most Spanish decades’ of German literary history (1790-1810), even reaching - in the secularized world of the classics and the first generation of German Romantics - the ‘deification’ of Calderón as perfect poet and author of modern tragedies (without paying much attention to his comedias in a stricter sense and without taking account of his autos sacramentales).

Texte intégral
Résumé :
Abstract In her study of the German case, Zschache shows that the activism and discourse of local transnational solidarity organisations (TSOs) in Germany display a considerable amount of similarities. In particular, the author argues that solidarity work has become more political, insisting more strongly on an advocatory, rights-based approach. She also draws attention to the importance of collaboration as a means to enhance the effectivity of solidarity work and to promote mutual empowerment as a crucial principle of solidarity. Moreover, the author offers new insights into how TSOs react to changing circumstances, engage in joint learning and promote innovations. In this context, the discourse of solidarity that seeks to transcend specific target groups and commits to a more integrated, cross-sectoral approach is particularly salient.

Texte intégral
Résumé :
The five stories in Magris’s Tempo curvo a Krems contain indirect references to the German and Mitteleuropean literatures that nourished their author. They are not merely echoes or resonances: allusions such as to the legend of Vineta, the city beneath the sea, or to Heine’s poem about the troubadour Rudèl and Melisanda, as well as to Faustian themes and the longing for transformation («die and become») are closely linked to the central theme of a circular and recurring time. The lightly ironic tone is nonetheless a bulwark against the spleen, the «Sehnsucht» or the recollection and regret of the past; a past that resurfaces and continues to echo like the tolling of a submerged bell.
