Résumé :
Public awareness of environmental problems and the need to work towards their solution have been heightened at international conferences for over two decades.Knowledge of the range of environmental perspectives and attitudes, and understanding the reasons for them, are important requirements for decision-making when dealing with global environmental issues. It is argued that culture may impact on environmental views and attitudes may shape worldwide views that give rise to them.In this study, Australian, Maldivian and Indonesian trainee teacher communities served as sources of data to examine

We examined how fast- and slow-growing families (based on height at 10 years) of Pinus banksiana Lamb. are affected by a climate altered by CO$ sb2$ during their first growing season. Our primary objective was to evaluate the possibility that genotypes performing best under present conditions may not necessarily do best under projected warmer climate. Seedlings were grown for six months in two climatic environments (350 $ mu$L/L CO$ sb2$ x present temperatures and 700 $ mu$L/L CO$ sb2$ x 4$ sp circ$C warmer temperatures) and with 100 ppm and 5 ppm nitrogen.<br>The CO$ sb2$T$ sp circ$ environme

In modern society, the urgency for environmental protection has emerged as a significant global issue. The increasing recognition of the harmful impacts of climate change and pollution has triggered a heightened emphasis on sustainable practices and conservation efforts. Consequently, the importance of foreign languages in promoting environmental protection initiatives has attracted notice within academic communities. The application of language can affect attitudes towards the environment and induce behavioral changes that support sustainability and conservation. By examining the linguistic s

The role of urban green spaces in improving the quality of the urban environment and the cities adaptation to the climate changes was analyzed. An extensive bibliographic study was carried out, the contributions of green spaces in mitigating the effects of global environmental changes were evaluated, principles for the design of sustainable and resilient green spaces were highlighted and plant species capable of mitigating negative effects were recommended. As cities face the challenges of urbanization and climate change, investing in urban green spaces is becoming a strategic imperative. Citi

Progressing climate change poses a major threat to the Earth. According to a UN report, reducing global warming to below 1.5 °C offers hope for maintaining the current quality of human lives and for protecting the environment. The report also points out that there is a prescription for curbing the catastrophic effects of climate change. In order to achieve the aim of stopping the increase in temperature, both adequate knowledge of the hazard and measures based on proven technologies are required. Résumé :
Regional sea level changes occur at different time scales. Global warming of the oceans, glacial and polar ice melting and meteorological or hydrological factors are major contributors to long-term sea level rise. In the recent years, a lot of attention has been paid to research concerning sea level change and seasonal fluctuations. The main objective of this paper was to determine the seasonal variability in the Baltic Sea level using satellite altimetry data for the period 1 January 2010 – 31 December 2014. The ANOVA analysis of variance was used in the research in order to estimate seasonal

Global environmental change is increasingly at the forefront of national and international concern. As society seeks to understand and address the challenges related to global environmental change, the weather, water, and climate (WWC) enterprise will be an essential partner. This endeavor will influence the application of science, including the “translation” of science for various audiences and situations. Consequently, it will almost certainly require an expansion in the skills, personnel, knowledge, and training of the workforce. However, as the scope of global environmental change is broad
