Résumé :
One of the critical problems in hermeneutic praxis is the tendency of emphasizing one part in a hermeneutical circle, namely context, text, or reader. Therefore we should take into account the whole part in an interdependence balance. Instead of emphasizing one of the part in the hermeneutic circle, this paper offers pilgrimage as a paradigm in interpreting the Bible so that the whole part in a hermeneutical circle can be put in an interdependence balance. The use of pilgrimage as a paradigm in the interpretation of the Bible should be understood as Groome has been doing by taking pilgrimage as a paradigm in his Shared Christian Praxis approach.

Résumé :
This article presents the results of the observations about digital literacy that were studied philosophically through Gadamer's hermeneutic approach. The reason for using this approach is to achieve an understanding of how the subject and its history play a role in the digital literacy process, where ontologically, the content of information has been visualized into the digital world so that a philosophical understanding is needed in understanding the virtual reality. This research is included in the classification of qualitative research with an analysis with three stages, namely reducing data that is very general and broad in a more specific form, and relevant to digital literacy and hermeneutics; then classifies the dimensions of digital literacy so that it is easy to determine the dimensions of the hermeneutics; interpret digital literacy to clarify the dimensions of hermeneutics in it, and concludes and draws relevance to efforts to overcome hoaxes. The results obtained from this study are on a hermeneutical analysis of the process of digital literacy as a catalyst for peace, that equalizing the elimination of discrimination at the historical-ego level can be achieved through the application of hermeneutical digital literacy that is by promoting dialectical historical understanding, where contemporary history dialecticism with the history of the past which is often claimed by certain groups as the heyday and the fruit of their work.

Departing from the definition of translation as a personalized activity, the article discusses the problem of the understanding for translation purposes against the backdrop of hermeneutics. Comprehension is an ongoing process, guided by the hermeneutical circle of relevant knowledge and learning. Hermeneutical translation competence involves the readiness for self-critical reflection, the openness for constant learning, the ability to integrate new cognitive input, the courage for linguistic creativity, and an empathetic identification with the message.Translation via a hermeneutic approach implies great responsibility. We know that interpretation is somewhat subjective and incomplete, but readers assume that they receive the content of a translated text in as faithful a manner as possible. For this purpose the translator needs holistic dimensions of orientation in the text being presented. And for the translation as text production rhetorical aspects have to be observed. The task of translating is a complex integration of various dimensions.

Résumé :
Liberation Theology as a movement and theological method has a unique hermeneutical approach. The way they study the Bible begins with studying their real life situations, then they identify the answers the Bible gives to their real problems. Interpreting the Bible starting from the context by some scholar was considered as an act of eisegesis, and not exegesis. Thus, this paper aims to review the hermeneutical approach used by Liberation Theology movement. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive-analytical method. Liberation Theology's hermeneutical approach is clearly outlined. Furthermore, the analysis of this approach is carried out by tracing its philosophical basis. In this way, one can judge the hermeneutics of Liberation Theology fairly and proportionally. The view being argued in this paper is that criticism of the hermeneutical approach of Liberation Theology is not properly positioned in the contradiction between exegesis and eisegesis, but it needs to be understood as beyond the contradiction. Although this approach starts its hermeneutic circle from context to text, that does not mean it cannot be justified. Pre-understanding before reading the text is raised clearly so that it can be spoken about with the intention of the text being read. It is in the process of dialoguing the context with the biblical text that the "meaning" is formed. The relationship between text and context is not understood as a linear one-way movement, but as an interconnected circle.

Résumé :
The purpose of the paper is to determine the key strategies for applying the methodology of philosophical hermeneutics in social sciences, which is realized in solving of the following tasks: 1)to determine theoretical conditions for the turn of philosophical hermeneutics towards applied social research; 2)to identify key concepts and techniques of philosophical hermeneutics, relevant to the measurement of actual social phenomena; 3) to outline the logic of application of the elements of philosophical hermeneutics within social science. Methodology of the research is formed by methods of immanent critique of philosophical discourse, adapted to the subject horizon of social studies. Scientific originality of the paper is expressed in the following statements: 1) the theoretical conditions for the applied turn of philosophical hermeneutics include the pragmatic critique of ontologization of the hermeneutic circle, that is, the reinterpretation of philosophical hermeneutics contrary to the key guidelines of its founders (M. Heidegger, H.-G. Gadamer); 2) key concepts and techniques of philosophical hermeneutics, relevant to the measurement of actual social phenomena, are the hermeneutic circle and self-understanding, hermeneutical reduction and destruction; 3) the logic of the applied use of the elements of philosophical hermeneutics in the context of social science involves correlation of the structure of the research with the hermeneutic structure of self-understanding, inherent in the subject under investigation. Conclusion: The study of the conditions of the applied turn of philosophical hermeneutics proved the fundamental importance of setting the problem of the synthesis of fundamental and applied science.

Résumé :
This article is devoted to the studying hermeneutic circle in the development of methodological culture of future music teacher. Under the conditions of globalization processes, tendencies of convergence of world cultures improvement of culturological training of student youth requires new approaches, in particular, culturological training of students of pedagogical specialties. The task of pedagogical education is to develop a teacher as a specialist and as a person of high culture, who has a special positive effect on the personality of school student. This article analyses the works of scientists dedicated to the issues of establishment and development of the hermeneutic approach in philosophical, psychological, and logical and gnosiological contexts. It is defined the essence of the concept of “hermeneutic circle” as one of the basic principles of the hermeneutic approach. There have been provided the examples of interpretation of the principle of hermeneutic circle by various scientists. Hermeneutic approach is applied in sciences such as pedagogy, psychology, economics, sociology etc. In pedagogical science the hermeneutic approach at the level of conceptual use was elaborated by A. Zakirova. She introduced the term “pedagogical hermeneutics”. Hermeneutic circle as a principle of text understanding is based on the interrelation of the part and the whole. Understanding of the whole consists of the understanding of the individual parts, and understanding of the parts requires understanding of the whole. The concepts of the part and the whole are correlated: the text is a part concerning the whole creative activity of the author, which in its turn is a part of the particular genre or literature in general, as well as the part of spiritual life and biography of the author. The idea of hermeneutic circle means also that there is no understanding of the text without certain prerequisites: understanding is preceded by some idea of what is yet to understand. There have been determined the peculiarities of the use of the principle of hermeneutic circle in the development of methodological culture of the future teacher of musical art. In light of hermeneutical trends, the penetration of which in the realm of musical art can be traced quite clearly, the use of the hermeneutic circle principle in the development of methodological culture of the future teacher of musical art appears not only in the narrow interpretation of the particular phenomenon or group of phenomena, but much wider — as a means of learning and understanding of the worldview by a person.

Résumé :
I offer a hermeneutical/deconstructive interpretation of a specific drawing by Leonardo da Vinci and a thought-experiment suggested by that drawing. My reason for turning to this drawing is that it graphically illustrates an ambiguity in Martin Heidegger's notion of the hermeneutical circle. I take this ambiguity to be illustrative of an interpretive problem of crucial importance to mainstream interpretations of Heidegger as well as to the hermeneutical and deconstructive traditions. I explicate this problem through an interpretation of relevant passages in Being and Time and argue 1) that there are two different, irreducible understandings of futurity in Heidegger's thought, and 2) that Heidegger's understanding of the present helps to mediate these different meanings of futurity. The thought experiment with which the article begins raises questions about the role of the imagination in understanding the temporal structure of intentionality. By calling attention to the mediating role that the present plays in Heidegger's understanding of temporality in Part II of Being and Time, I argue for an interpretation of the hermeneutics of understanding that better answers the questions posed by this thought experiment.

Résumé :
The present paper deals with one of the intricate problems of philology – the question of reading and understanding a work of verbal creativity. The paper aims at emphasizing the methodological value of the hermeneutical approach to the study of literature which comes into being due to the presence of three basic components: imagination, language as a code between the writer and the reader, and the expected ability of the reader to share the author’s emotions and thoughts. Proceeding from the basic statements of hermeneutics and Schleiermacher’s theory of hermeneutical circle in particular, as well as considering the results of our former investigations we come to the conclusion that understanding verbal art is a complex process which is achieved step by step. To provide a reliable mechanism for the application of the hermeneutical approach the investigator has to take the following steps: 1) reveal the correlation of language and speech with the help of the linguostylistic method of analysis; 2) understand the aesthetic value of the work built up due to the complex relationship of the linguistic elements and the poetics of the work, which is brought out by the linguopoetic method of analysis; 3) come up to the metametasemiotic level of analysis which, in fact, belongs to the sphere of literature studies and helps reveal the intention of the author and the idea of the work.

Résumé :
The educational process at a Higher Educational Institution of Arts is closely connected to the understanding of artistic texts. Teachers together with students fill their own understanding of the texts of musical works, comprehend their manifestation in teaching practice. Cultural breakthrough can only take place, if a teacher and a student coexist in the interpretative activity. Hermeneutics aspires to the spiritual interpretation of the text, revealing its sense and meaning in the universe of culture. Based on the hermeneutic doctrine, understanding serves as the fundamental basis for each stage of the interpretation process of the musical work. The article is devoted to the substantiation of the hermeneutic interpretative principles of the musical work in the educational process of the Higher Educational Institution of Arts. The following principles are included: any piece in the text can be understood only through the whole text based on the given context (hermeneutic circle); hermeneutic interpretation is developed from the understanding of the musical work and its application in your own experience; the interpretation of the text is carried out in order to realize its meaning and function. When interpreting a musical work based on hermeneutical principles, a musicianperforms personal emotions, feelings, aspirations, ideals, values through the expression of universal human values. Interpretation of the musical work as the basis for the professional activity of the future specialist in the field of Arts should be regarded as a process and result of spiritual and intellectual knowledge, understanding and interpretation of the sense-bearing aspects of the content of the musical work.

Résumé :
Abstract Increasingly articulate contemporary art practices are engaging with biblical representation, revealing new relationships with religion through the availability of the word in image. Taking as exemplary the photographic publication of Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin’s Holy Bible (2013), this essay considers the evidence for their hermeneutics between image and word that is characterized by open awareness of and expansive participation in the (rereading of the) Bible. Discussing this engagement, I explore imagistic readings of the Bible through the artists’ strategies of interpolation and repetition, as well as examining their chosen theme—catastrophe—for its revelatory power. Through the artists’ self-reflexive hermeneutics of indeterminacy, I argue that the discussion of the return of religion in art needs attuning to this kind of specific practitioner experience: a hermeneutical circle of imaginative, dialogical, and dynamic interpretative positions in which the notion of indeterminacy is persuasive for interpretative grist, historical accountability, and theological horizon.

Résumé :
The applied aspects of philosophical hermeneutics in connection with the formation of a special hermeneutic space in modern humanitarian culture are considered. The concept of meaning and understanding inherent in the ancient philosophical tradition is analyzed, the terminological aspects of the concept of understanding in its practical plane are considered. The hermeneutic method and its use in the analysis of specific semantic formations is associated with the concept of metaphor, which can be considered as a mediastinum of hermeneutic experience.Hermeneutics is a special aspect or turn in the development of European philosophy, which includes all other levels: ontology, epistemology, transcendental phenomenology and language philosophy. It is language that is the source from which the very possibility of hermeneutics arises. Language is the medium of hermeneutic comprehension of the world and today we observe in modern philosophy the situation of the formation of hermeneutical environment, a special semantic space in which we comprehend all the philosophical systems of the past and present. The hermeneutics constantly raises the question: is understanding possible in principle? It is not even a matter of whether we can understand Hesiod or the Bible. The question is whether we can understand ourselves and what this actually means. How adequate is the expressed meaning to the subject himself? The fundamental basis of hermeneutics, its ability and its necessity is the presence of external and internal in a word, speech, sign, etc. The presence of hidden meaning, metaphoricality, connotations, polysemy, personal meaning, etc. – this makes hermeneutics possible, even regardless of its real achievements. Here the principles of F. Schleiermacher are quite appropriate: 1. Everything that is subject to interpretation should be determined only from the language of the author and the original circle of readers. 2. The meaning of every word in a given place should be determined by its connection with the meaning of the context. For example, the Greek logos may mean, in various contexts, reason and law, prose and the Savior, which is, in general, a traditional problem of translation and translators. As a result, it should be noted that the problem of stratification of hermeneutic experience is fundamental for understanding the very essence of hermeneutics. This experience is not a separate form of it, at present we can talk about the fact that it permeates all humanitarian knowledge, which allows us to talk about the formation of a special hermeneutic cultural, semantic, semantic space in which any person should make sense. This attitude allows a completely different look at the role and tasks of hermeneutics on the way of turning it into a universal philosophical methodology.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop an innovative branding method based on the hermeneutical approach and interpretive theory, to respond to the need of a simple and effective tool to build corporate identity through an industrial brand identity design and, being a new business, has been considered the brand perception of their stakeholders as the main input to analyze. Design/methodology/approach The case study of a small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME), that produces nanomaterials for the business-to-business (B2B) industrial market, is used to design the new hermeneutic branding method. The methodology process has been structured in four phases that have marked the investigation and that correspond to four different levels of knowledge that, in succession, between them, constituted the so-called hermeneutic circle. Findings This new approach allowed us to understand the social phenomenon related to the brand: its characteristic, context and the brand itself. Though hermeneutic analysis has confirmed that business strategy is only part of a more complex system of brand management, it must also consider the competitive environment and the views of the stakeholders. Practical implications This paper contributes to research on industrial branding by adopting the hermeneutical approach in managerial practice. This paper is the first of its kind in detail modelling the design phases of a B2B brand, providing an operational tool for marketing specialists. Originality/value There is a lack of research studies in the methods for designing industrial brands. The contribution of this paper lies in proposing a new interpretative approach that, acknowledging the different expectations of the stakeholder in the supply chain, allows to draw a B2B brand that communicates the system values of the product and company.

Résumé :
Much has been written about Heidegger's various influences on Gadamer's thinking, especially as the latter culminates in Truth and Method. Scholars often point to the way Heidegger's notions of “thrownness” and “historicity” in Being and Time (BT) influence Gadamer's insistence on the centrality of tradition for hermeneutical understanding, and his notions of the “fusion of horizons” (horizontverschmelzung) and the “hermeneutic circle.”1 But scholars have appeared to overlook, or at least underestimate, the influence some of Heidegger's other notions have exerted on Gadamer's thought. In this paper I want to address crucial aspects of this neglect; I shall explore the relation between Heidegger's notion, as he explains it in Introduction to Metaphysics (IM), of truth as unconcealment (aletheia), and compare it to Gadamer's notion, as he describes it in Truth and Method, of truth as emergent, in play (Spiel), from the event (Ereignis) of conversation and of the work of art.

This article introduces and assesses Sundermeier’s “hermeneutic of difference” (Differenzhermeneutik). Though he is not well-known in English-speaking circles, the pioneering work of Theo Sundermeier has contributed to a hermeneutical and intercultural turn within the field of missiology, as well as a missiological and practical turn within hermeneutics. He criticizes the western hermeneutical tradition for being text-centric and egocentric, and he replaces the standard hermeneutical models with one that is focused on the practical problem of understanding the stranger. I summarize the four-step process he provides for learning how to understand and coexist with another person, reflect on its missiological implications, and offer a constructive critique in the direction of a distinctively emancipatory intercultural hermeneutic.

In addition, Arkoun said that the Qur’an is the incarnation of God’s words conveyed to humans, constructed in human language, transmitted orally by human voices, and written in written form. To reinterpret the Al-Qur’an, a hermeneutical method is needed, namely seeing the hermeneutical circle between text, author, and reader. The text of the Qur’an according to Arkoun is very rich in symbols, meanings, and is always open to all interpretations for readers. So Arkoun views the text of the Qur’an as a free interpretation. A text that remains open and not limited to, interpretation, because an interpretation that can enrich the meaning of a text, so that a text is not only limited to the past but also has an openness to the future so that it can understand the wishes of the author. From that reason, interpreting a text is a task that is never completed. Every age must seek its own interpretation. In this context, the Qur’an is also very freely interpreted according to the times and conditions to give enlightenment to humans with the demands of the times

The reproduce generation Hadist textually contains orders to have many offspring, butcan that Hadist still be applied to the contemporary context in order for exploding population causing many problems such as a quality of education, health, employment, public orderetc. This ultimately prompted the government to make family planning programs to anticipate the rate of population growth. The goverment claimed the the exploding population make the burden of the state will be more and more. In this study, researchers will attempt to study the reproduce generatuon Hadist depend on Gadamer hermeneutical perceptions, namely: First the reader or reviewer must be aware that the reader has its own horizon. Second, the readers have prejudice and hipotesa before reviewing, have assumptions as well. but the assumption must accept to be criticized and even modified according to the text content. Third, called the hermeneutic circle, which combines the horizon of the text with the horizon of the reader because certainly every text naturally has horizon when the text was born. Fourth, the application of the values of the texts studied in the present context. The formulation of the issues raised in this study are: How the application of Gadamer's hermeneutical theory in understanding the Hadist. From this formulation of the problem the researchers found several things in between are: First, the message contained that hadith Rasulullah eager to have a lot of people on the Day of Judgment so that he will be proud of the number of Muslims. Secondly, we must still be applied in the present context because the goal is the number of Muslims in the future.

This article will explain about the development of philosophical interpretation from classical to modern era. The emergence of the medieval philosophical interpretation has provided a new insight into the development of interpretation. The existence of this style of philosophical interpretation is also the "gateway" of the advancement of thought in Islam. In the modern century came a new method of interpretation with a philosophical approach that is hermeneutic discourse. In the study, hermeneutical methods contain hermeneutical circles that should not be excluded one of them, namely text (text), author or author (outhor), and reader (reader) with text, context and contextualization. However, the discourse of hermeneutics has contributed greatly to the development of interpretive thought in the Islamic world. When hermeneutics is practiced in Islam. Hermeneutic interpretation not only understands the meaning of the Qur'anic text as God's word or context, but also on how the interpretation of the Qur'an as the spirit of the Muslim community to change its society for the better and the best.

The article is an interpretation of the traditional figure of the hermeneutic circle made from the perspective of John D. Caputo’s radical hermeneutics. It begins with a recapitulation of the most important modern positions on the hermeneutic circle, which postmodern hermeneutics radicalizes, noting the impossibility of its closure or fulfillment. Movement in the postmodern hermeneutic circle takes place not between the parts and the whole, but only between the different parts. Thus, one might say that this circle is twisted, and this has a dual meaning. It evokes Jacques Derrida’s interpretation of a phrase from Hamlet, “time is out of joint”, but it also plays with the meaning of the twist, which can be understood as a Verwindung: the impossibility of the transgression beyond modern hermeneutics.

Modern hermeneutics, specifically H.-G. Gadamer’s hermeneutics, askswhat kind of meaningful horizon a text opens to us and what happens to uswhen we interpret and understand that particular horizon. The same questionsarise when we read Yasien Mohamed’s The Path to Virtue, a scholarlyorganized text full of fine historical and philosophical analyses. Not onlydoes this book meet internationally accepted research standards, but it alsodeserves to be a missing link between the philosophical ethical thought ofmedieval Islamic culture and our own modern ethical culture. When we read The Path to Virtue, we quickly find ourselves within theso-called “hermeneutical circle” as regards the text’s major topic. This circlereveals itself in two distinct viewpoints: the structure and the horizon ofthe text. As regards its structure, Mohamed’s text discloses both the mostgeneral aspects of al-Isfahani’s ethical thought and the critical detailedcorners of his way of thinking. Hence he is able to show us how the relationshipbetween general aspects of al-Isfahani’s thought fulfills itself in alogically coherent manner with the particularities of the same thought. Hedoes so not only in terms of referring to the internal relations between generaland particular aspects of al-Isfahani’s thought, but also by disclosing theexternal references of al-Isfahani’s thought, among them Plato, Aristotle, basic Islamic texts like the Qur’an and the hadith literature, Miskawayh, andothers. When we focus on the text’s structure, we soon find ourselves assilent participants of a grand discussion on character ethics among Plato,Aristotle, al-Kindi, al-Farabi, Miskawayh, the Ikhwan al-Safa, al-Isfahani,al-Ghazali, and others ...

This essay falls into two parts. In the first there is a brief discussion of the emergence of Liberation Theology in Latin America in 1960s and 1970s, and its challenge to the European and North American academic theology which has dominated the Christian world. The liberation theologians adopted a different methodology, which they saw to be required by the situations of massive injustice and poverty which they found around them. Juan Luis Segundo presented his understanding of the hermeneutical circle, and showed how commitment to the humanisation of the continent leads to new interpretations of Scripture. In the second part of the essy the application of this method to Australian theology is considered. The situation of Aboriginal people is taken as an example. The effect on Aboriginal people of the coming of white settlers raises challenging questions for Christian theology and biblical interpretation.

This article examines Wesley's moral-theological economy as a hermeneutical circle that moves from stewardship to response through the structure of our moral psychology that responds to God's gracious initiative manifest throughout creation. The first part describes Wesley's Economics of Stewardship, followed by Wesley's Moral Psychology of Response and Perfect Love. While the final part, responding to the Poor as Stewards of God's Grace. The conclusion of this article is that stewardship is God's sole proprietor who requires the use of responsibility made possible through God's free initiative and ongoing throughout Creation means establishing a relationship with him, starting with our relationship with the poor. Wesley's wisdom of stewardship is thus embodied in his moral theological dynamics of response as stewards, called to use ourselves wisely in the trust of what has been entrusted to us.

This article revisits Johan Huizinga’s theory of play in Homo Ludens by considering his rhetorical and methodological choices. The essay examines particular concepts that have been subject to hermeneutical debate and suggests they might be understood through an appreciation of how Huizinga deliberately cultivated clashing points of view in his work as an embodiment of his poetic methodology. This methodology is, in turn, reflected by particular rhetorical practices evident in his writing style. The essay discusses three specific rhetorical devices used by Huizinga in Homo Ludens to make knowledge about play. With these realizations about Huizinga’s rhetoric and methodology in mind, the essay then contextualizes his use of the term magic circle within the political agenda of Huizinga’s writing in general as a philosophical response to logical positivism. The essay concludes by reflecting upon how an appreciation of Huizinga’s rhetoric, methodology, and politics might be helpful for student-researchers.

ABSTRACT Objective: to evaluate the perception of the relatives of crack users in relation to the support groups offered to this population in a Psychosocial Care Center for Alcohol and Drugs in the South of Brazil. Method: the fourth-generation theoretical framework was used for evaluation, having as methodological device the hermeneutical-dialectic circle. Data collection occurred through 500 hours of observations and interviews with 12 relatives of crack users, and the comparative constant method was used in the analysis, generating the “family group” unit of meaning. Results: this group was regarded by the family members as a space for guidance on the management of users in their home environment. They reported the need for a basic structure to conduct the groups, greater duration of the meetings, confidentiality of information and diversity of timetables. Final considerations: investment in education and training of nursing professionals focused on group care is suggested to the education institutions.

Résumé :
Abstract The article criticizes some shortcomings of Asian contextual and liberation theologies that methodologically employ ‘hermeneutical circle’. The method focuses on experience as the starting point of doing theology. Despite its powerful insights that enable theologians to engage with concrete human and social problems, the method can easily preserve a theologian’s blind spot that hinders her/him from perspectives other than his or her own. I also criticize such an experience-based method as being too linear which can easily result in a methodological imperialism. In response to the weakness, I propose a multitextual theology, which on the one hand acknowledges the importance of perspectivism in any theology but also, on the other hand, celebrates theological freedom in viewing reality from ‘manywheres’. Since reality provides plurality of texts, a multitextual theology can begin simultaneously from any text, without being trapped into a procedural rigidity as clearly demonstrated in contextual and liberation theologies.

The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of people infected with the coronavirus in Denmark during the first phase of the pandemic. An explorative qualitative design underpinned by a phenomenological hermeneutical approach was applied. Fifteen individuals with confirmed COVID-19 infection were included and interviewed individually by telephone. Analyses were inspired by Ricoeur’s interpretation theory. The study illuminated how being diagnosed with COVID-19 was experienced not just a virus infecting the participants’ biology; it was also a threat to their existence and bodily perception as well as an interference in ordinary social relationships. Beyond a supportive approach, the participants experienced being a special case where people around them acted with excitement and curiosity. Responsibility for existential and emotional care after COVID-19 has been placed with the individual ill person and within their ordinary social circle. We suggest follow-up and rehabilitation for people during and after COVID-19 to support recovery.

Résumé :
Background Physical therapists' management of patients with nonspecific low back pain (NSLBP) has been found to be associated with their beliefs and attitudes toward NSLBP, as well as with guideline recommendations. Greater knowledge of physical therapists' experiences and feelings of treating patients with NSLBP may help to explain these associations and increase our understanding of some of the challenges physical therapists face when treating patients with NSLBP in clinical practice. Objectives The objective of this study was to understand more about how the personal experiences and feelings of physical therapists might influence their decision making when treating patients with NSLBP. Design This was a qualitative study using a phenomenological hermeneutical approach and practitioner-as-researcher model. Methods Eleven semistructured interviews with physical therapists were conducted and analyzed using the hermeneutical circle to identify key themes relating to their experiences and feelings in treating patients with NSLBP. Results Three linked themes emerged: (1) physical therapists believe that NSLBP has an underlying mechanical and recurring nature, (2) physical therapists' attitude toward managing NSLBP is to empower patients to exercise and self-manage their pain and functional problems, and (3) physical therapists experience feelings of tension between the advice and treatment they feel is best for their patient and the patient's own beliefs and attitudes. Conclusions The experiences and feelings of physical therapists treating patients with NSLBP include conflict among their pain beliefs, attitudes, and working partnerships with patients. Treatment decisions may be influenced when physical therapists modify their beliefs and attitudes to reduce this sense of conflict. Improving physical therapist communication skills may help decrease feelings of conflict, enhance working relationships, and encourage a more consistent approach toward patients with NSLBP.

Résumé :
In the second decade of the 21st century Russian translation studies are receiving a fresh impetus. Amid attempts the culture-oriented translatology undertakes to disown principles of the linguistic approach that traces its origin to R. Jakobson’s works, Russian scholars are first and foremost keen on ensuring consistency with methodology of the Soviet and French Canadian school (J.-P. Vinay, J. Darbelnet, G. Mounin, Y. I. Retsker, A. V. Fedorov, E. G. Etkind, etc.) while revisiting existing approaches to translation and recognizing a huge impact the culture has on it. In our opinion, their goal is to develop some universally applicable paradigm, a sort of “framework” theory, that can explain an interaction of all old and new factors in an act of intercultural mediation by means of translation without casting doubt upon translation as such given it has been proving itself as a practice for many centuries. The focus of recent theoretical research is gradually shifted from linguistic reasoning per se towards an in-depth analysis of counterproductive ideas and factors of linguistic and literature studies approaches in the development of the Russian translatology (R. R. Chaykovskiy), discourse aspect of translation within the framework of a communication situation that allows of taking into account all formants of the latter, including the goal and strategy of translation as well as tactics of its implementation (V. V. Sdobnikov), analysis of the transition discourse in a self-organizing translation space forming the translator’s harmonious outlook aimed at harmonizing meanings of interacting languages and cultures (L. V. Kushnina), in-depth analysis of audiovisual translation peculiarities within the process-oriented translation approach that indisputably requires conveying an image-sense of the film dialogue (V. E. Gorshkova), representation of translation as a discourse and communication model facilitating creation of a discourse dossier as a basis for a translation strategy development as exemplified by an institutional discourse (T. A. Volkova), consideration of ways the verbal and cogitative process and translator’s understanding take their course in the mono- and cross-cultural communication (P. P. Dashinimaeva), development of a systemological transdisciplinary model of translation (N. K. Garbovskiy). All these studies implicitly or explicitly touch upon the hermeneutic aspect of translation, a deep philosophical rationale of which has been given in a monograph by E. N. Mishkurov who interprets it as “a hermeneutical turn” and undertakes a critical analysis of fundamental works by F. Schleiermacher, H.-G. Gadamer, W. Benjamin, G. Steiner, P. Ricoeur and other western philosophers as well those by Russian scholars. He postulates that, within a proposed hermeneutic paradigm of translation (HPT), a hermeneutic-translation methodological standard (HTMS) is created as a transdisciplinary interlingual “mental generative” model of translation mediation under the principle of “hermeneutic circle / hermeneutic spiral”. An “algorithm” of the model described as a standard one presupposes that there must be four stages in it: pre-understanding, understanding, interpretation and translator’s decision. The latter is regarded as a stage where phenomenological reduction of interpretation of meanings taking place at the three previous stages is completed. Thus, translations activity is a development and one of the forms of philosophical and hermeneutical treatment of discourse phenomena that considers interpretation as its main tool. E. N. Mishkurov believes that the use of the above mentioned standard allows us to take into account all classic and innovative translation models providing for a “discourse equivalent and pragmatically adequate” version when dealing with different types of texts, their genres, and particularly when translating contexts that cannot be re-expressed by means of regular translation correspondences. The author’s ideas are backed up by examples in Russian, English, French and Arabic.

Résumé :
Abstract:This article tries to understand the Omnibus Law on Job Creation and its relation to the Sustainable Development Goals/ SDGs as an aspect of the protection of human rights as the responsibility of the state. The research approach is a normative legal research using a hermeneutical circle analysis. The main object (material object) is the norms in UUCK and related statutes which have been amended, added, or substituted by the Law on Job Creation. The norms studied are stated in the articles of the Law on Job Creation, especially norms that deal with environment and sustainable development. Hermeneutical analysis, from the linguistic and phenomenological point of view, isused in order to find the meaning of law from the linguistic and historical point of view, and the nature of the State as the protector of citizens’ human right. The findings are divided into 3 points. First, in terms of the process, this law is a tactical and political response from decision makers to complex and dynamic situations that can in fact lead to complicated derivative problems if the responses are not based on a framework based on the principles and basic values of the state. Dealing with the growth agenda in SDGs, the Law on Job Creation still calls into question whether the Law enshrines the easiness of business and full employment and decent work as human rights obligations of the state, or merely as benefits of economic growth. So it still presents both opportunities for human rights monitoring and accountability. Keywords: Omnibus Law, Job Creation, Sustainable Development Goals Abstrak:Tulisan ini mencoba untuk memahami Omnibus Law Cipta Kerja dalam kaitannya dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Goals/SDGs) sebagai suatu aspek dari perlindungan HAM yang merupakan tanggung jawab negara.

This paper is an illustration of the application of a hermeneutic phenomenological study. The theory of meaning and interpretation, drawing on philosophical hermeneutics and the work of Gadamer and Heidegger, and its alignment with phenomenological thought is presented. The paper explains and aims to make visible how key concerns in relation to the fusion of horizons, hermeneutic understanding, hermeneutic circle and hermeneutic phenomenological attitude were implemented. The purpose is to provide practical guidance and illustrate a fully worked up example of hermeneutic phenomenological work as research praxis. This present paper makes a case that hermeneutic phenomenological work is detailed, lengthy, rigorous and systematic in its own philosophical and theoretical frame. It articulates the philosophical and methodological alignment of hermeneutics in a specific hermeneutic phenomenological study and makes visible the work of hermeneutic phenomenology. It concludes by sharing key reflections and insights on the hermeneutic phenomenological process.

Résumé :
The double hermeneutic is a central feature of interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). Typically, this has been considered in relation to individual researchers working with experiential accounts from individual participants. IPA has, however, frequently been applied by multiple researchers; a further layer of complexity occurs when individual or multiple researchers analyse data from group interactions. Little attention has been paid to hermeneutic considerations in these contexts. We present insights into our encounters with multiple hermeneutics as well as our application of the hermeneutic circle; we also consider implications for IPA research. Our multi-vocal approach to analysis requires us to work in a much more integrative manner than is generally represented in IPA literature. Explicitly attending to multiple hermeneutics in focus group situations provides additional insights into the social and cultural contexts within which participants’ experiences exist. This article discusses how the inclusion of multiple hermeneutics adds richness and robustness to IPA.

Design/methodology/approach The paper draws on the extant literature and the researcher’s own experience using hermeneutics theory in an interpretive accounting research project involving in-depth interviews with organisational managers. Findings The process of interpretation is described using the core concept of the hermeneutic circle where the reader and the text engage in dialogue. The readers’ pre-understandings play a key role in this dialogue and assist in drawing meaning from the text. However, it is necessary for the reader to adopt a critically reflexive approach remaining alert for both unproductive pre-understandings and hidden power structures and ideologies in the text being interpreted. Each reading of a text involves the completion of one cycle of the hermeneutic circle in which the reader transitions from pre-configuration to configuration and ultimately re-configuration concluding with the reader acquiring new horizons of understanding. The researcher’s experience of applying hermeneutic theory to an interpretive accounting research project are reflected on and nine lessons are offered. Originality/value These insights will prove valuable to interpretive researchers within the social sciences, including accounting and management studies, as well as those working in the natural sciences.

Résumé :
This article reviews the memoirs of D. S. Hessen – Polish journalist, translator and lexicographer, son of a prominent pedagogue and philosopher, active participant in the intellectual life of white émigré S. I. Hessen, as the paramount source for reconstruction of scientific-pedagogical biography of the scholar in the context of pedagogical history of emigration. The authors lean on the traditional methods of historical-pedagogical research, namely biographical, resorting to the techniques of hermeneutical and contextual analysis, and “microhistory”. The importance of D. S. Hessen's memoirs for understanding the general patterns and specific details of scientific-pedagogical life of the “Russian Prague” is emphasized. The relevance of this work is defined by the need for creating a documented pedagogical history of Russian immigrants in Europe, development of new approaches towards analyzing the legacy of prominent representatives of pedagogical thought, search and introduction of archival materials into the scientific discourse, particularly memoirs, epistolary, and personal documents. The conducted research demonstrates that the memoirs of D. S. Hessen are an important source for reconstruction of scientific-pedagogical biography of S. I. Hessen, as they clarify such moments as the Prague period of life of the scholar, outline the circle of person he mostly interacted with, and shed light on certain circumstances of his life and work.

Résumé :
The thesis was devoted to the research of the peculiarities of representation in the civil process. The main objective of this thesis is the determination of the peculiarities of legal adjusting for the representation in the civil process. Methodological basis of the thesis consisted of such methods as: formal-logical, system analysis, dialectical and hermeneutical. The relevance of this thesis is evidenced in particular by there that was disclosed such facts as: the content of the institute of representation in civil law and civil process doctrine; the circle of persons who can be representatives in civil procedure. It was made a systematic analysis of the provisions of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC) of Ukraine on the subject of the implementation of the representation of individuals in civil proceedings. There were investigated the problems of restricting the circle of persons who can be representatives in civil proceedings. The analysis of standing and its confirmation by various persons who can carry out representation in civil proceedings was done. According to the results of the research, it was established that modern CPC of Ukraine does not determine the essence of relations between representatives and persons whose interests they realize. The mainstreaming and law-governing influence is mainly related to the legal personality of the representatives, their procedural status. It was also determined the range of duties and rights of representatives within the civil legal process. In addition, it was proved that the modern CPC of Ukraine is being introduced in the state, in fact, a monopoly on the representation of the parties by a lawyer in the courts, in the civil process, but leaves the possibility of realizing the relations of representation between an individual and another person who does not have the lawyer status, who ruled only in, such cold as, minor affairs. Thus, the practical significance of the conclusions reached was aimed primarily at the theoretical and methodological plane to continue the reform of the institution of representation in the civil process, as well as in the practical activities of representatives in the context of expanding the opportunities for individuals to exercise their procedure’s rights.

Résumé :
Abstract The article presents dialogic attitude towards nature and focuses on the aesthetic form of interaction with environment via folklore and imaginative writing. The article analyzes the development of scientific thought from human ecology to environmental hermeneutics. Hermeneutic methodology is used in the field of “aesthetics of nature”, therefore, the author applies hermeneutic categories such as tradition, historically effective consciousness, hermeneutic circle, application to cultural heritage of one of Siberia’s natives and proves the advantages, heuristic value of these categories in analyzing dialogue with nature. Aesthetic dialogue with nature is studied on the example of ethnic and ecological traditions of the Buryat nomads, who historically migrated across Central Asia, nowadays live around Lake Baikal. The author argues that revitalizing ethnic and ecological traditions in folklore and contemporary national literature presents a hermeneutic dialogue with nature and considers it a valuable resource for ethical assumptions and ecological education for sustainable development.

Résumé :
Hermeneutics as a method of interpretation is still a controversial debate among Muslim intellectuals, especially its application in the study of the Qur'an. A method that is a contribution of Western scholars is considered by some circles of thinkers can be an alternative and guarantee in understanding and reveal the intent behind the text of a verse. However, according to Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi one of the leaders of ISTAC, hermeneutics is a threat to Islamic thought and civilization , even as a conspiratorial agent of the West over Islam. He saw three things that influence hermeneutics as an interpretative theory namely, first, from Greek mythology to Jewish and Christian theology. Second, from a problematic Christian theology to the rationalization and philosophy movement. Third, from philosophical hermeneutics to hermeneutic philosophy. Based on these three things, according to Hamid Fahmy, hermeneutics is full of values and "Incompatible" with the worldview of Islam, so the need to see hermeneutics in the context of life view. In this research, the writer will conduct a more critical and "objective" study, see the plus-minus of Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi's view of the hermeneutic concept he assumed as a product of life view. Some of the questions on which this hermeneutics concept is based on Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi's concept of hermeneutics and its implications in the study of the Qur'an? What influenced Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi's thinking, thus viewing hermeneutics as a concept that contradicts the Islamic worldview?

Résumé :
AbstractIn this essay, the relation between art and religion is explored using the concepts experience and imagination as understood by the American philosopher John Dewey. In Dewey’s view, experience involves both the experiencer and the experienced: it is a phenomenon of the in-between. When we are really touched by what we meet in interacting with our physical and social surroundings, experience acquires an aesthetic quality that opens us to the value and the potential of what we perceive. We can see the factual in light of the possible, thus enriching it with new layers of meaning. We experience this as resonance between us and the world. It is the work of the imagination. Due to their imaginative capacity, humans can aspire to a ‘good life’. This aspiration is discussed in terms of invitation and response. Can we experience ourselves as being invited to respond to this unruly world with attachment and care? Here art and religion come into play. Art is understood as the domain of the possible: it explores the world behind or beyond what we usually accept as fact. An aesthetic experience acquires religious quality when it evokes in us an ideal that guides our sense of self and world, stimulating us to realize our ideals in daily actions. If inspired by imagination, art and religion may evoke intense experiences of resonance and invite us to new ways of connecting and transformative action. This is explored with the help of a hermeneutical circle, a ‘cycle of imagination’.

Résumé :
A principal theme of hermeneutical phenomenology of science has been to analyze the status of theoretical entities. In Ginev’s ambitious analysis of contemporary trends in hermeneutic phenomenology of science, for instance, one of the two “hermeneutic circles” he describes involves the constitution of objects of inquiry, as “mathematized entities” associated with data-models, which has a formal side in theory and an empirical side in experimentation. The question then arises of the relation between the two sides; the danger, he puts it, is a theoretical essentialism which is implied when the mathematical projection is conceived as operationalized by experiment. Ginev’s proposal to avoid this involves the concept of “inscription.” This paper proposes another approach, covariant realism, which draws from Heidegger’s notion of “formal indication” and which makes explicit the temporality of theoretical objects in the flow of the research process. Heidegger developed his notion as an integral part of his hermeneutics of facticity; its motivation was the need to develop a discourse adequate for pre-theoretical experience. While it may seem strange to apply this idea so far out of context, it seems poised to address certain long-standing problems in the philosophy of science, those of incommensurability and scientific theory change. Formal indication characterizes phenomena that are understood to be provisionally grasped, already interpreted, and anticipated as able to show themselves differently in different contexts. The value of this admittedly nonstandard transformation of Heidegger’s concept suggests deeper possibilities for continentally-inspired approaches to understanding science practice than have hitherto been explored.
