Résumé :
AbstractOn today’s Internet, resources for astronomical research abound, and are available from wherever a connection is available. These are mostly in the form of freely accessible databases, ranging from literature services to space-mission archives. They offer instant access to the latest published data and papers, and unique opportunities for archival and innovative research. A sampling of such services will be listed, with notes on accessibility from far-flung points on the planet.

Résumé :
The Internet is a critical eHealth/eGovernment information source, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs operates the United States’ largest integrated health care system. This case study used machine-based accessibility testing to assess accessibility for 116 VA Medical Center websites, based on U.S. Section 508 standards and international WCAG 2.0 guidelines. While we found accessibility issues on each website analyzed, problems were generally limited. Notable exceptions included PDF accessibility and fixed-text sizes. The study’s results offer implications for practitioners (accessibi

Further to the binary notion of accessibility and lack of accessibility to digital technology, this study examines Internet usage as the outcome of choice made by an individual to use the Internet. In identifying the determinants of choice, this study integrates the social cognitive theory notion of the human agency with the ability-motivation-opportunity (AMO) framework. The results of path modeling analysis of the data collected from 270 respondents in Malaysia showed that digital skill was the most significant predictor of Internet usage. Opportunity and extrinsic motivation were also signi

In the ubiquitous Internet, human mobile-web interactions can be evaluated with real-time analysis of time-based usability and accessibility with the different types of mobile Internet devices including smart phones (e.g. iPhone, Android phone, etc.). A ubiquitous mobile-web interaction server, accessible with a variety of mobile Internet devices, could be a unified estimation hub in real-time analysis of human-centric mobile-web interactions. We propose the real-time analysis scheme based on real-time estimation of time-based usability and accessibility for human mobile-web interactions with
