Résumé :
We have investigated ion-acoustic solitary waves in a multicomponent plasma. The study shows an interaction of the negatively charged particles with the solitary waves, due to which interesting physical behaviour of the solitary waves is observed. Moreover, the isothermality and the non-isothermality of the plasma exhibit different soliton-type solutions and a transition of the soliton's behaviour can be shown through the changes of the non-isothermality in the plasma.

Abstract The values of the Hubble constant estimated based on the Sunyaev-Zel’dovich effect seem to be systematically lower than those obtained by optical observations. We have investigated possible sources of biases and uncertainties when using the Sunyaev-Zel’dovich effect, including the peculiar velocity of clusters, finite extension of clusters, non-sphericity and sub-clustering of the cluster gas distribution, and non-isothermality. We examined these problems on the basis of analytical arguments, observational data of X-rays, and numerical simulation results, finding that the non-isotherm

In this paper, the spatial distribution of F. hepatica in bovines in Brazil was modelled using a decision tree approach and a logistic regression, combined with a geographic information system (GIS) query. In the decision tree and the logistic model, isothermality had the strongest influence on disease prevalence. Also, the 50-year average precipitation in the warmest quarter of the year was included as a risk factor, having a negative influence on the parasite prevalence. Partial Redundancy Elimination (PRE) is a ubiquitous optimization used by compilers to remove repeated computations from programs. Speculative PRE (SPRE), which uses program profiles (statistics obtained from running a program), is more cognizant of trends in run time behaviour and therefore produces better optimized programs. Unfortunately, the optimal version of SPRE is a very expensive algorithm, of high-order polynomial time complexity, and unlike most compiler optimizations, which run effectively in linear time complexity over the size of the program that they are optimizing. Abstract Thinning of heat-exchanger lubes by erosion-corrosion has been a problem in fluidized bed combustors (FBCs), particularly at lower metal temperatures where thicker, mechanically protective oxide scales are unable to form. Many laboratory-scale tests have shown a decrease in material loss al higher temperatures, similar to that observed in FBC boilers, but also show a decrease in wastage al low temperatures (e.g. 200°C) which has not been detected in boilers. It has been suggested that this difference is due to the laboratory tests being carried out isothermally, whereas in a FBC boile
