Résumé :
Although mobile devices have now become an important computing platform, however most of them still lack hardware accelerated graphics. Therefore, interactive 3D rendering on these devices is a difficult task. This paper describes different approaches for 3D rendering on mobile devices and the associated challenges. It then investigates different solutions to resolve these problems and proposes a framework that uses Image Based Rendering (IBR) technique to render interactive 3D graphics on mobile devices. Further, the performance of proposed framework is compared with Geometry Based Rendering (GBR). The experimental results show that the proposed framework performs better than the geometry-based techniques in terms of rendering time, visual quality and memory requirements. The results also show that the rendering time of the proposed framework is independent of the scene complexity. The experiments are performed in Java Platform Micro Edition (JavaME) environment with Sun JavaME Phone emulator.

Résumé :
The Gender Development Index (GDI) is a measure of the level of achievement of gender-based human development in Indonesia. Central Java Province is the largest province in Java with a GDI rate which tends to increase during the period of 2011 to 2015. Central Java's GDI, when compared to other provinces on Java Island, ranks third after DKI Jakarta and DI Yogyakarta. Central Java’s GDI consists of several observations for a certain period of time so that panel data regression analysis can be used. The purpose of this study was to model the GDI of women in Central Java with panel data regression and find out which explanatory variables significantly affected women's GDI in Central Java from 2011 to 2015. The results of this study indicate that explanatory variables that significantly influence women's GDI in Central Java are life expectancy, primary school enrollment rates, high school enrollment rates, and per capita expenditure.

Résumé :
Javamide-I/javamide-II are phenolic amides found in coffee. Recent reports suggested that they may contain several biological activities related to human health. Therefore, there is emergent interest about their quantities in coffee-related products. Green coffee extract is a powder extract made of unroasted green coffee beans, available as a dietary supplement. However, there is little information about the amounts of javamide-I/javamide-II in green coffee extract products in the market. Therefore, in this paper, javamide-I/javamide-II were extracted from green coffee extract products and their identifications were confirmed by NMR. After that, the amounts of javamide-I/javamide-II were individually quantified from seven different green coffee extract samples using the HPLC method coupled to an electrochemical detector. The HPLC method provided accurate and reliable measurement of javamide-I/javamide-II with excellent peak resolution and low detection limit. In all seven green coffee extract samples, javamide-II was found to be between 0.28 and 2.96 mg/g, but javamide-I was detected in only five samples in the concentration levels of 0.15–0.52 mg/g, suggesting that green coffee extract products contain different amounts of javamide-I/javamide-II. In summary, javamide-I/javamide-II can be found in green coffee extract products sold in the market, but their amounts are likely to be comparatively different in between green coffee extract brands.

Résumé :
The mode of inheritance of resistance to bacterial blight, Xanthomonas campestris pv. Oryzae was studied in 12 rice cultivars: 'BR51-282-8', 'DV85', 'CAS209', 'Java14', 'IR4613-54-5', 'Zenith', 'IR36', 'Neuli', 'BJ1', 'LZN', 'MRC603-303', and 'D204-1'. These resistance cultivars were crossed with a susceptible tester parent 'TN1'. The plants were inoculated at the maximum tillering stage by the clipping technique. From the reactions of F1, F2, and F3 populations, it was found that resistance in 'LZN', 'MRC603-303', and 'D204-1' was conditioned by a single recessive gene. The resistance in 'BR51-282-8', 'DV85', 'CAS209', 'Javal4', 'IR4613-54-5', 'Zenith', 'IR36', 'Neuli', and 'BJ1' was controlled by a single dominant gene. The allelic relationships of resistance genes in the test cultivars with Xa4 was studied. The Xa4 gene was originally identified and designated in 'IR22'. The resistance genes in the test cultivars were nonallelic to Xa4. The trisomie lines of 'IR36' were crossed with 'Jaya', a highly susceptible cultivar to bacterial blight. The segregation pattern of the F2 and backcross generations revealed that the resistance gene of 'IR36' was located on chromosome 12 of the rice genome.Key words: rice, resistance, bacterial blight, allelic relationship, trisomics.

The COVID-19 pandemic has plunged the tourism sector. Tourism industries have ceased operations in line with travel restrictions imposed by most countries. With various considerations, the tourism sector must be reopened. Kemenparekraf said ecotourism has the potential to survive in the post-COVID period. East Java with a variety of ecotourism destinations has the potential to become a leading destination. On the other hand, a pandemic caused changes in tourist behavior. Government policies that prioritize ecotourism; the advantages of East Java's ecotourism attractions; as well as a shift in the tourists' behavior who tend to travel to locations close to home, had an impact on changing tourism patterns in East Java. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach case study to reveal tour patterns in East Java, especially in the cities of Surabaya, Tuban, Batu, Malang City, Malang Regency, and Banyuwangi which contributed to 50% of East Java’s domestic tourist visits. This research was conducted in two phases, where the first stage (literature studies) guides the next phase of qualitative data in the form of interviews with tourism stakeholders. Our findings are that the majority of East Java tourists conduct tours in the regency/city where they live, ecotourism has not become the main choice of domestic tourists, local governments need to further develop potential natural attractions as ecotourism attractions, and existing ecotourism travel patterns are not yet optimized.

Kata Kunci: budaya, iklan, teh, posmodernisme, idiom estetik AbstractThe fast growth of Indonesian advertising is shown by a lot of ads on television medium. The food and beverage products use ad to compete against the competitors. The beverage which included in Ready To Drink (RTD) category becomes popular, especially tea as the most widely consumed besides mineral water. Some bottled tea products show the ads with concept of freshness, activity, and contemporary lifestyle. “Javana” Tea has different ad concept with the similar products. This ad shows the blend of traditional with contemporary culture, which is packaged in a frame. Teh difference of visualization concept compared with the similar ads and the use of two cultures encourage the researcher to find messages behind ad by using postmodernism approach, which is restricted to aesthetic idioms: deconstruction, hyperreality, simulation, intertextuality, kitsch, and pastiche. Analysis process is begun from observe ad then breakdown it by taking some elements of image, text, and audio in the position of specified time. The results of analysis are combined into one and then concluded. The result of this research is the presence of postmodernism outline in “Javana” Tea ad through idioms aesthetic above, which creates contradiction and paradox associated with traditional and contemporary culture. Résumé :
Black rice is an alternative staple food better than white rice. It has lower carbs, but higher antocyanin compared to white rice. Nowadays, black rice consumption has increased, production needs to be increased to accomodate the demand. But, to our knowledge, there is lack of information about black rice resistance against biotic stresses, one of black rice cultivar is Cempo Ireng. This information needed for optimal Cempo Ireng cultivation. In this research, we determined chlorophyl content and analyzed OsNPR1 expression of three cultivars: Java14 (resistant control), Cempo Ireng, and IR64 (susceptible control), against Xanthomonas oryzae (Xoo). All of them were sprayed with salicylic acid (SA) before inoculated with Xoo. IR64 24h had the lowest chlorophyll content (0,576 ± 0,066 mg/g), meanwhile Java14 72h had the highest content (2,358 ± 1,301 mg/g). However, all the cultivars did not show any correlation between them and time after Xoo inoculation. OsNPR1 expression did not show any significant change in Java14 and Cempo Ireng after being inoculation. However, IR64 showed increasing OsNPR1 in 72h and did not change in 96h after inoculation. It indicated that OsNPR1 played important role in IR64 resistance against Xoo, but not in Cempo Ireng and Java14.

Résumé :
The main aim of this study is to find a therapeutic compound to inhibit IL-6, not TNF-alpha and IL-1beta, in macrophage-like cells, because the high-levels of IL-6 production by macrophages are reported to cause unfavorable outcomes under several disease conditions (e.g., autoimmune diseases, and acute viral infections, including COVID-19). In this study, the potential effects of javamide-II on IL-6, IL-1beta and TNF-alpha productions were determined using their ELISA kits in macrophage-like THP-1 cells. Western blots were also performed using the same cells, to determine its effects on signaling pathways (ERK, p38, JNK, c-Fos, ATF-2, c-Jun and NF-κB p65). At concentrations of 0.2–40 µM, javamide-II inhibited IL-6 production significantly in the THP-1 cells (IC50 of 0.8 µM) (P < 0.02). However, javamide-II did not inhibit IL-1beta or TNF-alpha productions much at the same concentrations. In addition, the treatment of javamide-II decreased the phosphorylation of p38 without significant effects on ERK and JNK phosphorylations in the THP-1 cells. Furthermore, the p38 inhibition, followed by the reduction of ATF-2 phosphorylation (not c-Fos, c-Jun or NF-κB p65), led to the suppression of IL-6 mRNA expression in the cells (P < 0.02). The data indicate that javamide-II may be a potent compound to inhibit IL-6 production via suppressing the p38 signal pathway, without significant effects on the productions of TNF-alpha and IL-1beta in macrophage-like THP-1 cells.

Résumé :
As the modeling of the solar system is difficult and inaccurate, the 3D modeling of the planets in the solar system is studied by using Java3D technology. To make the revolution of simulated planets meet Kepler's laws while traveling around the sun, an improved approximate algorithm to calculate the optimum angle and the vertex coordinates of each planet is proposed. Using java3D perspective projection technique, the observation coordinate system is determined, and real-time viewpoint setting as well as roaming processing is realized. Through multiple view technique, we can observe the movement of celestial bodies from multiple aspects to obtain vivid simulation effects of planets' behavior in the solar system. Simulation results show that the virtual simulation platform developed based on java3D can improve the accuracy and naturalness of solar system simulation.
