Résumé :

AbstractZen students described their experiences when working with koans, and a phenomenological method was used to identify the structure of those experiences. Zen koans are statements or stories developed in China and Japan by Zen masters in order to help students transform their conscious awareness of the world. Eight participants including 3 females and 5 males from Southern California with 1 to 30 years of experience in Zen answered open-ended questions about koan practice in one tape-recorded session for each participant. Reflection yielded the following thematic clusters: (a) motivation, (b) approaches to working with koans, (c) experiences while working with koans, (d) experiences of insight into koans, (e) working with a teacher, and (f) transformation. Participants described positive transformations including better control of emotions and concentration, better awareness of prejudices and biases with the ability to suppress those types of habitual associations, and a new relation to and acceptance of spiritual questions and doubts.

Pengendalian gulma air eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) dengan ikan koan (Ctenopharyngodon idella) akan meningkatkan kesuburan perairan sebagai akibat sekresi dari ikan koan yang dikeluarkan di air. Penelitian mengenai pengaruh perambanan eceng gondok oleh ikan koan terhadap kesuburan perairan, N, P, dan kelimpahan fitoplankton di Danau Limboto perlu dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh perambanan ikan koan terhadap kesuburan perairan (N, P) dan kelimpahan fitoplankton di Danau Limboto. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan percobaan menggunakan perlakuan pakan eceng gondok pada ikan koan. Rancanganpercobaan dengan rancangan acak lengkap dengan tiga ulangan dan satu kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa laju perambanan ikan koan dengan kepadatan 100, 200, dan 400 ekor dengan biomassa eceng gondok 10 kg mempengaruhi peningkatan produktivitas perairan atau kesuburan (N dan P) dan kelimpahan fitoplankton. Kepadatan ikan koan 200 ekor adalah kepadatan yang paling efektif untuk pengendalian eceng gondok dibanding kepadatan 100 dan 400 ekor. To control of waterhyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) using grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) was fertilized in waters because of excresi of grass carp. The research is to knowed effect of grazing of grass carp to waterhyasinth to productivity and abundance of phytoplankton in Limboto Lake. Reseach Metodology is used experiment with rendom completed desaign with three treatmen with three replycation and one kontrol. The result each showed treatmen of stocking density 100, 200, 400 fish each cage, and fitoplankton abundance, stocking density 200 fish is cage increasing productivity, fitoplnkton abundance of lake. The treatmen stocking density 200 each cage Increased productivity of lake most effective to control waterhyacinth than stocking density 100 and 400 fish/cage.

Koan fish has a good taste with white flesh, very chewy and thick in all parts of its body. As an alternative to the koan fish test, the dosage of seed feeding is done in full with a frequency of 3 times a day at intervals of feeding every morning, afternoon, evening. Koan fish seeds that have been 60 days old since hatching are entered into the research aquarium according to their respective treatments. During the maintenance period, watering and changing are carried out every 3 days to maintain the maintenance of water quality is maintained properly. Penyiponan is done by suctioning the debris that settles in the bottom of the aquarium that comes from fish faeces but it is also carried out by changing the water by removing maintenance water as much as 75% of the initial water volume, then replaced with new water as much as the volume of water that has been discharged. For taking a fish sample that will be measured length and body weight gain is done once every ten days namely on days 0, 10, 20 and the last on the 60th day. Based on the results and research the effect of different plant-based aquatic plant feeding. gives no significant effect on the growth and survival of koan fish (C. idella), the best growth of absolute weight of koan fish (C. idella) is in treatment D, which is 1.38, followed by treatment A (1, 08 grams), then treatment B (0.71 gram) and treatment C (0.52 gram). the highest absolute length growth was found in treatment D that is equal to (9.41 mm) followed by treatment A (3.80 mm), then treatment B (0.66 mm) and treatment C (0.55 mm).AbstrakIkan koan memiliki rasa yang enak dengan dagingnya yang berwarna putih, sangat kenyal dan tebal di seluruh bagian tubuhnya. Sebagai alternatif budidaya ikan koan uji yang di lakukan adalah Dosis pemberian pakan benih dilakukan secara kenyang dengan frekuensi pemberian sebanyak 3 kali sehari dengan interval waktu pemberian pakan setiap pagi,siang, sore. Benih ikan koan yang telah berumur 60 hari sejak menetas dimasukan kedalam akuarium penelitian sesuai dengan perlakuan masin-masing Pada masa pemeliharaan dilakukan penyiponan dan pergantian air setiap 3 hari sekali untuk menjaga kualitas air pemeliharaan tetap terjaga dengan baik. Penyiponan dilakukan dengan menyedot kotoran-kotoran yang mengendap di dasar akuarium yang berasal dari feses ikan selain itu juga dilakukan pergantian air dengan cara membuang air pemeliharaan sebanyak 75% dari volume air awal, kemudian diganti dengan air yang baru sebanyak volume air yang telah dibuang. Untuk pengambilan sempel ikan yang akan diukur pertambahan panjang dan bobot tubuhnya dilakukan setiap sepuluh hari sekali yaitu pada hari 0, 10, 20 dan yang terakhir pada hari ke – 60. Berdasarkan hasil dan penelitian pengaruh pemberian pakan nabati Tumbuhan Air yang berbeda. memberikan pengaruh yang tidak berbeda nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan koan (C. idella), Pertumbuhan bobot mutlak benih ikan koan (C. idella) yang terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan D yaitu sebesar 1,38 selanjutnya diikuti oleh perlakuan A (1,08 gram), kemudian perlakuan B (0,71 gram) dan perlakuan C (0,52 gram). pertumbuhan panjang mutlak tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan D yaitu sebesar (9,41 mm)selanjutnya diikuti oleh perlakuan A (3,80 mm), kemudian perlakuan B (0,66 mm) dan perlakuan C(0,55 mm).Kata Kunci : Ikan Koan, Pemberian Pakan Nabati Tumbuhan Air, Pertumbuhan, Kelangsungan Hidup.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peranan organisasi Tiong Hoa Hwee Koan (THHK) dalam bidang pendidikan di Batavia tahun 1900-1908. Melalui pemahaman mengenai organisasi Tiong Hoa Hwee Koandalam pendidikan, diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan mengenai organisasi Tionghoa yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam perkembangan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode historis. Adapun yang pertama dilakukan adalah mengumpulkan berbagai sumber dan bukti tertulis sejarah yang terkait mengenai organisasi Tiong Hoa Hwee Koan melalui arsip-arsip, buku-buku serta artikel yang terkait dengan organisasi tersebut.Kemudian melakukan kritik sumber untuk menguji keaslian dari data-data yang diperoleh, lalu penafsiran data-data yang sudah terkumpul agar dapat ditulis menjadi suatu karya ilmiah secara sistematis dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi setelah organisasi ini berdiri dalam bidang sosial maupun pendidikan. Organisasi Tiong Hoa Hwee Koan mengubah tata cara adat istiadat dan bahasa yang melekat pada masyarakat Tionghoa peranakan. Organisasi ini juga membuat lembaga pendidikan formal untuk anak-anak keturunan Tionghoa yang di beri nama Pa Hoa. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh berdasarkan proses interprestasi sumber ialah adanya peranan organisasi Tiong Hoa Hwee Koan terhadap pendidikan di Batavia.

Within recent Japanese Buddhist scholarship there is a debate over the interpretation of Karmic causality evidenced in the 75 and 12 fascicle editions of Dogen's Shobogenzo, one salient example being that found in the daishugyo and shinjin inga fascicles on the fox koan from the mumonkon. At issue is whether a Buddhist of great cultivation transcends karmic causality, with the earlier daishugyo promoting a balanced perspective of both "not falling into" and "not obscuring" causality, while shinjin inga instead strongly favors the latter over the former. Traditionalists interpret the apparent reversal in shinjin inga as an introductory simplification to aid novices, while some Critical Buddhists see Dogen as instead returning to the orthodox truth of universal causality. I argue that Dogen philosophically favored the view found in daishugyo, but moved away from it in his later teachings due to misinterpretations made by both senior and novice monks alike.

Résumé :

The capacity for creative thought is of utmost importance for the survival and furtherance of humanity. Luckily, creative thought is the most essential aspect of humanity; it is what defines us. Unfortunately, we have created a society that tries to make us forget that. I am building a body of work that encourages mindfulness and heightens awareness. Awareness of self and mindfulness in everyday activities are prerequisites to social and spiritual evolution. I want nothing less than to expand human consciousness. 108 Kōans occurred over a period of time that I devoted to maintaining a "beginner's mind." During that time, 108 evidences of this practice were produced. These are my kōans. They are events, observations, sounds, interventions, texts, images, scripts, objects, rearrangements, etc.--experiments in recontextualization that attempt to remind people of the ability they have to recontextualize their everyday. If we can become aware of our everyday habits and assumptions and experiences--the mundane thoughts and actions that make up the bulk of who we are--then we will realize that there are other ways of being that are available to us. This awareness will then extend to examinations of cultural, social, and institutional habits. People cannot imagine another way of existence for society until they can imagine another way of being themselves. We must become literate in the language of creativity. We must celebrate our self as one with the Universe and realize that the nature of the Universe is change.

As histórias em Quadrinhos (HQs), veículos artísticos de comunicação, podem ser comerciais ou autorais e de conteúdo adulto, embora, até hoje tenham sido mal interpretadas. Elas podem também descrever claramente os percalços evolutivos da sociedade humana em todos os setores, principalmente na ciência, refletindo paradigmas ou vaticinando novos conceitos, além de servirem como divulgadoras dos ideários autorais. O Koan é uma técnica oriental utilizada pelos zen-budistas, que tem paralelo com a física Quântica, a qual emprega como metáfora para exemplificar suas teorias e novas descobertas, aproximando os questionamentos da ciência ocidental aos conceitos paradoxais da filosofia oriental, como se pode ver no livro o Tao da Física do cientista Fritjof Capra. Este trabalho se propõe a apontar as HQs autorias destinadas ao público adulto que contenham o Koan em suas estruturas narrativas, indicando uma possível importância implicada tanto nestes conceitos como na propagação dos mesmos pelas HQs, para a evolução científico-social dos seres humanos.
Comics, artistic communication vehicles, can be comercial or authoral ones, and also destined to adults readers; although thei are misunderstood until today, they can clearly the evolutive paths of human society, in every sectors, mainly in science, reflecting standards, even predicting new concepts, mainly when comics reflect the ideals of the author. Koan in an oriental techic used by zen budhists, and it has parallel with Quantic Physics, which uses koan as a mataphor to explain its concepts and is new discoveries, nearing occidental science inquiring to paradoxal concepts of the oriental philosophy, as can seen in the book The Tao of Phisics, by Scientist Fritjof Capra. The objective of this study is to show the existence of Koans in those comics, pointing to an implicated importance possible to the sociaal-scientific evolution of the human beings in both of these concepts and their propagation by Comics.

Resumo: As histórias em Quadrinhos (HQs), veículos artísticos de comunicação, podem ser comerciais ou autorais e de conteúdo adulto, embora, até hoje tenham sido mal interpretadas. Elas podem também descrever claramente os percalços evolutivos da sociedade humana em todos os setores, principalmente na ciência, refletindo paradigmas ou vaticinando novos conceitos, além de servirem como divulgadoras dos ideários autorais. O Koan é uma técnica oriental utilizada pelos zen-budistas, que tem paralelo com a física Quântica, a qual emprega como metáfora para exemplificar suas teorias e novas descobertas, aproximando os questionamentos da ciência ocidental aos conceitos paradoxais da filosofia oriental, como se pode ver no livro o Tao da Física do cientista Fritjof Capra. Resumo: Nos últimos vinte anos, metrópoles de todo o mundo passaram a conviver com novas manifestações no contexto das chamadas "artes gráficas de rua". Além do Grafite e da Pichação – conhecidos desde o início dos anos setenta -, as ruas ganharam outras obras, baseadas direta ou indiretamente na utilização do papel. Essas expressões, que podem ser identificadas como estênceis, lambes (cartazes), stickers (adesivos), formas híbridas e formas tridimensionais, possuem características materiais e imateriais próprias, que possibilitam situá-las em uma categoria específica. Neste trabalho, buscamos, inicialmente, localizá-las em um panorama histórico de desenvolvimento das artes gráficas e plásticas de rua. Para isso, adotamos um construto teórico produzido a partir das perspectivas de Michel Maffesoli e Masssimo Canevacci. Esse construto parte da hipótese de que essas obras são a forma mais recente de uma objetivação ou exteriorização subjetiva arcaica, nascida da oposição x composição de dois pulsões, de Potência – criativo, disruptivo, lúdico, neotribal e eXtremo –, e de Poder – organizador, normativo, institucional e extremo. No mesmo processo de localização das formas baseadas no papel, buscamos estabelecer-lhes um estatuto baseado em suas características materiais e imateriais, nas diferenças em relação ao grafite e à pichação e nas semelhanças que as aproximam. Na medida em que esses trabalhos parecem afetar de forma peculiar o psiquismo do observador não-especializado – com um fenômeno que identificamos como troca de registro psíquico -, procuramos investigar a relação criador-obra-observador, partindo de uma perspectiva baseada no diálogo entre proposições teóricas de Maffesoli, Canevacci, Georg Simmel e Vilém Flusser. Para descrever a troca de registro psíquico nas obras baseadas no papel, nos aproximamos de um fenômeno semelhante descrito por teólogos e pesquisadores (inclusive, neurocientistas) do Budismo, a chamada "Iluminação Súbita" ou Prajna/Kensho x Satori. A partir do cruzamento entre a localização histórica e de élan das formas baseadas no papel, seus possíveis efeitos sobre o psiquismo do observador não especializado e nossa própria experiência de observação – que, ao longo de dois anos e meio, nos permitiu constituir uma coleção imagética de cerca de 3.200 imagens -, investigamos o fenômeno em um cenário metropolitano, o de Curitiba, no período compreendido entre os anos de 2007 a 2009. Produzido a partir de ferramentas digitais, esse processo abrangeu o mapeamento das formas em Curitiba – que permitiu descobrir áreas de prevalência e também certas configurações locais – e a identificação de alguns artistas, feita com uma técnica que denominamos investigação por indícios. Juntos, os dois direcionamentos – "cartográfico" e "microscópico" – possibilitaram o estabelecimento de um perfil das artes gráficas e plásticas baseadas no papel na cidade de Curitiba no recorte temporal da pesquisa.
Abstract: In the last twenty years, big cities all around the world started to live with new manifestations in the so called "graphic street art". Besides the graffiti and "pichação"– that are known since the beginning of the 1970s – the streets were given new works, based directly or indirectly in the use of the paper. These expressions can be identified as stencils, posters and stickers, hybrid and tridimensional forms with their own material and immaterial characteristics which can place them in a specific category. In this work, we initially tried to place them in a historic perspective of the developing of the graphic and plastic art on the streets. We used a theoretical construct produced from the Michel Maffesoli and Massimo Canevacci’s perspectives. This construct theorizes that these works are the most recent form of an archaic objectification or exteriorization, born from the opposition x composition of two drives, Potency – creative, disruptive, playful, neotribal and eXtreme – and Power – organizing, normative, institutional and extreme. In the same process of localizing the paper based forms, we tried to give them a statute based on their material and immaterial characteristics, in the differences regarding graffiti and "pichação" and the resemblances that bring them together. Since these works seem to affect the non-specialized observer psyche in a peculiar way – with a phenomenon we had identified as psychic registry exchange – we tried to investigate the relation creator x work x observer. It was made in theoretical terms, from a perspective based on the dialog of the Maffesoli, Canevacci, Georg Simmel and Vilém Flusser’s theoretical propositions. To describe the psychic registry exchange in the paper works, we used a similar approach used by theologians and researchers (including neuroscientists) of the Buddhism, called "Sudden Awareness" or Prajna/Kensho x Satori.From the crossing between the historical localization and élan of the paper based forms, their possible effects on the psyche of the non specialized observer and our own observation experience – that in two and half years allowed us to build a collection of more than 3,200 images – we investigated the phenomenon in a metropolitan scenario, Curitiba, in the period compressed between 2007 and 2009. Produced through digital tools, this process comprised the mapping of the forms in Curitiba – which allowed us to discover areas of prevalence and also some local configurations – and the identification of some artists; from a technique we called investigation from indicia. Together, the two directions – "cartographic" and "microscopic" – made possible the establishment of a paper based graphic and plastic arts profile in Curitiba and in the research timeframe.

Résumé :

I mitt projekt ville jag använda mig av den skogsmark som finns på och runtom tomten. Jag ville att den nya skolan skulle integrera med skogen. Skolan i skogen, eller skogen i skolan. En skolvardag uppe bland träden och nere i marknivå. I utformningen och planeringen inspererades jag av "kojan" och hade ambitionen att byggnaden skulle vara en fridfull, men samtidigt en lekfull och inspirerande plats som ska kunna ge energi och motivation till eleverna. I utformningen så har ambitionen varit att skapa platser för koncentration, men också platser som ska gynna kreativiteten. I byggnaden finner man också genomgående element hämtat från "kojans" kvaliteter såsom "kryp in", "uppe bland träden", växtlighet, klättra. Materialet är helt i trä. Konstruktionen är pelare och balkar, där taket består av trianglar i diamant struktur som böljar genom hela byggnaden. Detta för att skapa en spänning, dynamik, lekfullhet, energi och en ambition att hitta ett intressant förhållningssätt till "kojan" och naturens formspråk.

Résumé :

The philosophy of Zen Buddhism occupies a very important place in V. Pelevin’s prose. The novel «Chapaev and Void» is a Zen novel that tells the story of the enlightenment process of Peter the Void. Chapaev plays the role of a Zen master, imitating or creating koans to inspire Peter the Void. The original meaning of the word “koan” is a judicial document of the ancient Chinese government. Later, the term “koan” was borrowed from Zen Buddhism, and its content is usually a story about a Zen master, a dialogue between the master and his students, questions and hints from the master. The story of “Anagama Buddha” and the “clay machine gun” is the last koan of the novel. At the same time, Chapaev is the reincarnation of Anagama Buddha, whose pinky is a clay machine gun with the power to turn everything into nothingness. The article discusses the sources of the concepts of “Buddha Anagama” and “clay machine gun” and the role of the koan, composed of these concepts, in the implementation of the ideas of Zen Buddhism in the novel. There is no ideal prototype of Anagama; the clay machine gun is the sarira of Buddha Anagama, which is the result of Buddhist practice. The koan «Buddha Anagama and the Clay Machine Gun» was not only narrated, but also realized by Chapaev, which confirms Pelevin’s appeal to Zen Buddhism at different levels of the novel’s structure organization.

Résumé :

En este trabajo se presenta GoKoan, una plataforma e-learning de apoyo a la formación presencial en la enseñanza universitaria. Han participado un total de 175 estudiantes de la asignatura de “Psicología de la Memoria” del Grado de Psicología de la Universitat de València, 88 forman parte del grupo control y 87 del grupo experimental . El grupo experimental realizó el estudio de la asignatura en dos fases: 1) Fase de aprendizaje: los contenidos se presentaron fragmentados para su estudio con evaluaciones del nivel de adquisición de cada contenido hasta conseguir su aprendizaje. 2) Fase de repaso: se realizaron repasos de toda la asignatura mediante preguntas tipo test. Los repasos se fueron agrupando de forma progresiva en bloques con mayor carga de contenido, y acababan con un simulacro de examen. Para lograr una mayor optimización del pro ceso de aprendizaje, se tiene en cuenta una serie de factores: planificación personalizada del estudio, estudio distribuido en el tiempo , análisis exhaustivo de los errores, reportes continuos del progreso, aprendizaje colaborativo, etc. En estos momentos no se disponen de resultados por no haber finalizado el curso académico pero se espera que el grupo experimental obtenga mejor rendimiento en la asignatura que el grupo control.Palabras clave: Tecnologías de la Información y de la Comunicación , TIC, Aprendizaje mixto o combinado, Herramienta e-learning, Rendimiento académico, Innovación educativa, Algoritmo Koan , Proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, Educación Superior.

Review question / Objective: To analyze the effect of strength training (ST) on knee proprioception in patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Condition being studied: KOA is a chronic and degenerative joint disease characterized by articular cartilage loss, marginal bone hypertrophy, and inflammatory involvement of periarticular tissue of the knee. Symptoms of KOA are pain, stiffness, reduced range of motion, and muscle weakness, although proprioception may also be affected, contributing to the associated functional limitation.
