Résumé :
Abstract Experimental annotations of intrinsic disorder are available for 0.1% of 147 000 000 of currently sequenced proteins. Over 60 sequence-based disorder predictors were developed to help bridge this gap. Current benchmarks of these methods assess predictive performance on datasets of proteins; however, predictions are often interpreted for individual proteins. We demonstrate that the protein-level predictive performance varies substantially from the dataset-level benchmarks. Thus, we perform first-of-its-kind protein-level assessment for 13 popular disorder predictors using 6200 disorder

Many edge and embedded platforms now rely on Large Language Models (LLMs) to efficiently handle natural language processing with just basic tools. Due to inference running slowly, limits on hardware, and making sacrifices between accuracy and efficiency, performing in real time is still a problem. This research analyzes firmware improvements that address these constraints, with the main goal of improving latency without any loss in the model's accuracy. Since Korean firms have prepared the primary financial statements on a non-consolidated basis in the pre-IFRS regime, the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) leads to a great deal of difficulties and complexities in making accurate consolidated forecasts for users of financial statements, e

In the literature on contests, punishments have received much less attention than prizes. One possible reason is that punishing the bottom player(s) in a contest where all contestants are not allowed to quit, while effective in increasing contestants' total effort, often violates individual rationality constraints. But what will happen in an open contest where all potential contestants can choose whether or not to participate? In chapter 1, we study a model of this type and allow the contest designer to punish the bottom participant according to their performances. We conclude that punishment

Abstract. Declination of lake water levels are extensively influenced by anthropogenic activities along with basin size, topography, and lake size. Lake Urmia was one of the largest hypersaline lakes in north-west Iran. Main outflow from the lake are evaporation and possible groundwater flux, whereas major sources of inflow are surrounding rivers and several streams. Overall, annual evaporation is higher than precipitation. The lake Water Level Fluctuation (WLF) is a function of inflow, rainfall, evaporation and groundwater flux. Pavement macrotexture has been shown to influence a range of safety and comfort issues including wet weather friction, splash and spray, ambient and in-vehicle noise, tire wear, and rolling resistance. While devices and general guidance exist to measure macrotexture, the wide-scale collection and use of macrotexture is neither mandated nor is it typically employed in the United States. This work seeks to improve upon the methods used to calibrate, collect, pre-process, and distill macrotexture data into useful information that can be utilized by pavement managers. In laboratory conditions, the tooth breakage of a pinion with different severity levels was simulated in a spur gearbox. In this work, a method is proposed to determine the molar constant R with the relative standard uncertainty near 10^-10 that is based on an extra accurate volume controlling and high sensitive pressure measurements in the framework of scale echeloning procedure. An essential moment of the method is uniting of results for two measurement scales with increased relative standard uncertainty (10^-5) to obtain the higher precise level. The gas-filled 1D elastic pneumatic photonic crystal is proposed as an optical indicator of pressure which can unite several pressure scales of magnitude.
