Résumé :

Sixteen species of Macromotettix Günther were systematically researched in this paper. One species, Macromotettix guangxiensis sp.nov., is described as new to science. An updated key to the species of Macromotettix is presented. The type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China (5%4&) and Department of Chemistry and Life Science, Hechi University, China (6%10&).

The Chinese wingless brachypronotal pygmy grasshoppers of the subfamily Metrodorinae have often been classified within the genus <i>Macromotettixoides</i>. In this study, two undescribed species of wingless brachypronotal pygmy grasshoppers belonging to Metrodorinae were collected. Résumé :

A new species from Jiangxi Province of China, Xistra zhengi Deng, sp. nov. is described and illustrated. Meanwhile, the complete mitochondrical genome of the new species was determined and annotated. It has the typical invertebrate mitochondrial gene arrangement, the size of the sequenced mitogenomes is 18148 bp. The constructed phylogenetic tree showed that the new species was placed in Metrodorinae, and formed a separate clade from other species of Metrodorinae.

Résumé :

The genus Tondanotettix C. Willemse, 1928 includes two species endemic to Sulawesi Island (Indonesia). The third species, T. doloduo sp. n., is described from northeast part of this island. Tondanotettix is most similar to the genus Hyboella Hancock, 1915 (Metrodorinae) but differs from latter in the arch-like infrascapular area and a deeply excised apex of pronotal process. Therefore Tondanotettix is transferred here from subfamily Cladonotinae to subfamily Metrodorinae. An annotated list and a key to species and subspecies of this genus are provided also.
