Background: Germ cell malignancies account for about 5% of all ovarian cancers. These tumours grow rapidly and often produce symptoms quicker than the slow growing epithelial tumour. The influence of L(+)-ascorbic acid sodium salt (ascorbate), as a widely used antioxidant, on the anti-human melanoma A375 activity of a monolacunary Wells-Dawson polyoxometalate (mono- WD), α2-K10P2W17O61.20H2O was assessed in this study.
