The proposed antenna is also suitable for being embedded in smart mobile devices. A monopole antenna resonates at a frequency of 1.8 GHz was designed as the reference antenna. Then, two resonant frequencice of 700 and 900 MHz were obtained by coupling two shorting strips to the reference antenna. Calibration procedures and measurement results are reported for typical urban, suburban and rural-motorway environments and compared with existing mobile channel models to give insight into the large-scale fading behavior in the vehicle-to-vehicle channel.
