Manuel Arenzana was the last chapel master of the Cathedral of Puebla from 1791 to 1821. Arenzana composed sacred music for the Cathedral of Mexico, as well as operas for the Coliseo Theater in Mexico City. A collection of music created mainly in the second half of the 18th century and the first half of the 19th century was found at the choir loft of the Cathedral of St Nicholas in Budweis. Jáchym Štěpánovský and J. N. Vocet were two local composers and choir administrators who primarily helped to create this music collection.
